One of the demands of the 2013 curriculum is that learning must be integrated with the training of students' skills in higher-order thinking or HOTS. The ability of HOTS helps students not only know and understand a knowledge but is able to find the connectedness of information knowledge, involves the process of finding the concept of knowledge and applying knowledge to face a number of problems. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 040460 Berastagi in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year with theme 1: Animal and Human Motion Organs with sub theme 2: Human and Environment on Indonesian content. Based on the results of research and discussion, that the validity of the product seen from the design validator with the two validation system obtained very valid results with an average score of 84.61%. Likewise the results of the validators from the material experts who obtained an average score of 88.88 and were declared very valid with a two-time validation system. The conclusion of the linguist stated that the assessment of the design of LKPD language presentation based on high level thinking skills was in the very valid category with an average of 82.95%.

Learners find it difficult to learn if asked to solve problems with high-level thinking (HOTS). Difficulties experienced by students are difficulties in working on HOTS-based question in which students are asked to think critically and understand the purpose of the questions be worked on. Descriptive qualitative research methods. Sources of research data are students in class V SD N Bugangan 02 Semarang. Data collection procedures used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that fifth grade students found it difficult to work on HOTS-based questions because in the learning process teachers rarely gave HOTS-based question so students were not accustomed to solving questions by thinking highly.

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is a competency that must be achieved by students as stated in the 2013 curriculum. Indirectly, Unimed - LPTK which will create graduates to become teachers has a central role in realizing students who have such high-level thinking skills. Previously, when becoming a student at Unimed, high-level thinking skills of students had to be honed and improved continuously so that when becoming a teacher, Unimed graduates were able to train students to think high-level through HOTS-oriented questions. This study aims to: 1) Describe the relevance of the semester final exam questions compiled by the lecturer on the measurement of high-level thinking skills of Indonesian Language and Literature Department students, FBS Unimed, 2) Describe the relevance of teaching materials used by students to improve higher-order thinking skills, and 3) Developing a HOTS-oriented Indonesian language and literature learning assessment course module at Unimed FBS Language and Literature Department. This study uses a research and development (R & D) approach. The stages that will be carried out in this study include: defining, design, develop, and disseminate. The results showed that the learning planning tools made by the lecturers did not integrate the achievement of students' high-level thinking skills.

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is a way of thinking that puts forward the values ​​of critical and creative thinking so that it is considered capable of providing solutions in facing the challenges of the times. To have high-level thinking skills (HOTS), teachers must be able to design HOTS-based learning to help students develop higher-order thinking skills. The ability in question is related to the ability to think critically, reflective, metacognitive, and creative thinking. This is consistent with the objectives in the 2013 curriculum in PP No. 17 of 2010, to prepare Indonesian people to have the ability to live as individuals and citizens who are faithful, productive, creative, innovative, and affective and able to contribute to the life of society, nation, state and world civilization

The purpose of this study was to create an e-flipped classroom learning paradigm to help mathematics students enhance their higher order thinking skills. This study is a research development, often known as R&D. In this study, the development model proceeded through the stages of conceptual model, theoretical model, hypothetical model, and final model. The learning devices created in the form of prototypes are restricted to eight disciplines as a consequence of the design of learning devices achieved. The method for building the e-flipped classroom model to increase higher order thinking abilities is separated into three stages: pre-development activities, development activities, and model implementation activities. Validation sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires, and assessment sheets were utilized as study instruments. Validity, practicability, and effectiveness data analysis approaches are employed. The study's findings show that: (1) the e-flipped classroom model was developed to improve the parts that have been obstacles to its use thus far; (2) the flipped classroom model is not only a combination of online and offline but also allows for full online conditions; (3) the model is designed to train students' high-level thinking skills through several supportive activities; and (4) the devices used. Thus, based on the study findings, the e-flipped classroom concept and its learning aids satisfy the requirements for being valid, practical, and successful.

Education is not only the process of transferring knowledge, then student asked to memorize, then is assessed based on the abilityto memorize that knowledge. While student at this time need to have high level thinking skills or HOTS. The launching and recommendation of the application of HOTS in the learning process is one of the strategic efforts to improve learning capacity, especially the learning of religious education in the HOTS of critical thinking. Logically the problem of higk level thinking which is person’s cognitive skills is the level of the upper front part which is called the prefrontal cortex. The brain part of this part is known as the center of ecretutive control or the student is a high level thinking. Also place of problem solving, regulation, create character and personality. Sciences strategic activities are carriedout in Islamic Education so that they can get high level ability to be enhanced with the HOTS indicator: (1) analysis level, (2) evaluation level, (3) level of integration. This research enriched scientific knowledge in other studies.

In facing the era of education 4.0, higher-order thinking skills are needed for students. Anderson and Krathwohl who are students of Bloom are trying to remodel the level of thinking from Bloom known as Bloom's taxonomy to remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating. Learning media can be a means to convey learning information/messages to students. The purpose of this study was to describe the analysis of higher order thinking skills of STKIP PGRI Jombang students based on Underson and Krathwohl's theory in developing mathematics learning media. This research was conducted on students of mathematics education in the fifth semester of 2019 class of mathematics learning media. The subjects of this research consisted of 27 students who were divided into 6 groups. Data collection techniques in this study used the main instrument and supporting instruments. The main instrument is the researcher, while the supporting instruments are: an assessment of the development of learning media made by following the indicators of students' higher order thinking skills based on Underson and Krathwohl's theory and the results of interviews. The validity of the data using source triangulation. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was found that (1) the students' high-level thinking ability in developing learning media included in the high-order thinking modifikatif model, namely changing the shape of a product so that it becomes attractive and more practical, (2) Students develop mathematics learning media based on the problems found, namely helping teachers in conveying messages of subject matter to students so that they are easier to understand, more interesting, and more fun, (3) The level of high-level thinking of students in developing learning media is very high because they are able to come to the stage of creating namely designing learning media that ready to use or publish ABSTRAKDalam menghadapi era pendidikan 4.0, kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi sangat diperlukan bagi peserta didik. Anderson dan Krathwohl yang merupakan murid dari Bloom berusaha merombak tingkat berpikir dari Bloom yang dikenal sebagai taksonomi Bloom menjadi mengingat, memahami, mengaplikasikan, menganalisis, mengevaluasi dan mencipta. Media pembelajaran dapat menjadi sarana untuk menyampaikan informasi/pesan pembelajaran kepada peserta didik. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan analisis ketrampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi Mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Jombang berdasarkan Teori Underson dan Krathwohl dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa pendidikan matematika mata kuliah media pembelajaran matematika semester V angkatan 2019. Subyek penelitian ini yang terdiri dari 27 mahasiswa yang terbagi dalam 6 kelompok. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen utama dan instrumen pendukung. Instrumen utama adalah peneliti, sedangkan instrumen pendukung, yaitu: penilaian pengembangan media pembelajaran yang dibuat dengan mengikuti indikator dari ketrampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa berdasarkan teori Underson dan Krathwohl dan hasil wawancara. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Berdasarkan hasil análisis data diperoleh bahwa (1) Kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran termasuk dalam berpikir tingkat tinggi model modifikatif yaitu mengubah bentuk suatu produk sehingga menjadi menarik dan lebih praktis, (2) Mahasiswa mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berdasarkan permasalahan yang ditemukan, yakni membantu guru dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan materi pelajaran kepada peserta didik agar lebih mudah dimengerti, lebih menarik, dan lebih menyenangkan, (3) Tingkat berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran sangat tinggi karena mampu sampai pada tahap mencipta yakni merancang media pembelajaran yang siap dipaki atau dipublikasikan

This research is intended to know the effectiveness of worksheet based on an inquiry to grow the higher order thinking on temperature and heat. The design which is used in this research is one group pretest-posttest design. The data analysis technique was performed by using the N-gain test and one sample t-test. The result of this research shows that Student Worksheet is effective as learning innovation based on high level thinking the skill that is analyzing (C4) and creating (C6) into a high category with N-gain 0,70 while to evaluate obtained N-gain 0,72 (height). Student Worksheet effectiveness based on high-level thinking skill proved influential in cultivating high-level thinking skills based on the results obtained using effect size of 0.6 to analyze and evaluate while to create 0.7.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan LKS berbasis inkuiri untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada materi suhu dan kalor. Desain yang digunakan pada penelitan ini adalah One group pretest posttest design. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji N- gain dan one sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan LKS ini dinyatakan efektif sebagai inovasi pembelajaran berdasarkan indikator keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi yaitu menganalisis (C4) dan mencipta (C6) masuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan N-gain 0,70 sedangkan untuk mengevaluasi diperoleh diperoleh N-gain 0,72. Efektivitas LKS berbasis keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi terbukti berpengaruh untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi berdasarkan perolehan hasil menggunakan effect size sebesar 0,6 untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi sedangkan untuk mencipta 0,7.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Thematic learning carried out in elementary schools has not trained students' high-level thinking skills as a whole due to the use of learning models that tend to be monotonous and make students bored. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skillls). The research method used is quantitative experiments with the design of nonequivalent group design. The results showed that the teacher's implementation was sufficient in accordance with the syntax of the PBL learning model so that it could influence HOTS students. The difference in HOTS scores between the two classes is indicated by the average post-test scores. The use of PBL models should be implemented for students to be able to train HOTS students.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Pembelajaran tematik yang dilaksanakan di SD belum melatihkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa secara keseluruhan dikarenakan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang cenderung monoton dan membuat siswa jenuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model <em>Problem Based Learning </em>terhadap <em>Higher Order Thinking Skillls</em>. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain <em>nonequivalent group design. </em>Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa keterlaksanaan guru sudah cukup sesuai dengan sintaks model pembelajaran <em>PBL</em> sehingga dapat berpengaruh terhadap HOTS siswa. Perbedaan skor HOTS antara dua kelas ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata nilai <em>post-test</em>. Penggunaan model PBL hendaknya dapat diimplementasikan kepada siswa agar dapat melatih HOTS siswa.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning model CUPs (Conceptual Understanding Procedures) against higher order thinking skills (HOTS) of students on class X IPA Madrasah Aliyah Mathla'ul Anwar Gisting. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group. Test independent with sample t-test was used to determine differences in high-level thinking skills students use models of cups with direct instructional model. The results of the analysis states that there are differences in the average high-level thinking skills among learners using CUPs models with conventional instructional model. The effectiveness of the use models of CUPs better in improving higher order thinking skills of students, it can be seen from the value obtained effect size of 0.3 is included in the medium.Tujuan dari penelitian ini, adalah untuk meninjau efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran CUPs (Conceptual Understanding Procedures) terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (KBTT) peserta didik kelas X IPA MA Mathla’ul Anwar Gisting. Metode penelitian yang dipilih yakni kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non equivalent control group. Uji independent sample t-test digunakan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik menggunakan model CUPs dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rerata kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik antara menggunakan model CUPs dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Efektivitas penggunaan model CUPs lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan KBTT peserta didik, ditunjukkan dari nilai effect size yang diperoleh sebesar 0,3 termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

This study aims to describe the high-level thinking skills of students of SD Inpres Galangan Kapal IV, Kecamatan Tallo Kota, Makassar and to determine whether there is influence of the PARE learning model (preview, ask, read and evaluate) on high-level thinking skills of SD Inpres Galangan Kapal IV Kecamatan Tallo Kota, Makassar. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research. The research design used was pre-experiment with the form of intag group comparison. The population in this study were all students of  SD Inpres Galangan Kapal IV Kecamatan Tallo Kota, Makassar. The sample in this study were fifth grade students who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using the independent sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the higher order thinking skills of students in the experimental group were in the moderate category, while those in the control group were in very low categories. The results of the Independent Sample T-Test, post-non-test scores in the experimental group and the control group showed the results of Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, which means that there is the influence of the PARE learning model (preview, ask, read and evaluate) on the higher order thinking skills of students of SD Inpres Galangan Kapal IV Kecamatan Tallo Kota Makassar. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the PARE learning model (preview, ask, read and evaluate) can affect students' high-level thinking skills.
