Astrido Jaya Mobilindo is one of Toyota's authorized dealers engaged in the automotive field which includes the sale of goods and services. Almost all existing systems are computer based. However, in its implementation there are still deficiencies in helping employees such as the absence of a report system in the form of graphs to facilitate the head of the workshop in analyzing the performance of the workshop and the inequality of work provided by each technician because the foreman cannot monitor the work of each technician. Therefore, the improvement of services in work must continue to be improved. The author makes a web-based vehicle service recording system with the waterfall method, where this method helps in the system development stages that are running there. Toyota's web-based service registration system has the advantage that the distribution of work to technicians is more faired and equitable with a monitoring display and can more quickly display service productivity reports because direct reports are displayed in graphical form and produce more accurate information with the smallest possible risk of error and more effective and efficient in data manipulation.

The course is one of the education provided outside formal (non-formal) schools to develop personal abilities and skills. Eden Everyday English Course Institute is an Institution located in Bogor. In this institution, the registration process for students is done manually by filling in the registration form provided by the admin. Eden Everyday English Course Institute is one of the courses where the number of applicants increases every year, this causes the administration department cannot manage everything properly and feels overwhelmed so that it is not effective. With the increase in the number of students registering each year, it would be better if a web-based registration system was created, so that it could simultaneously serve as a medium for promoting the course institution. The purpose of this research is to create a web-based application to help the process of registration for new students in Eden Everyday English Course Institute using the waterfall method. Many studies, especially in the field of information system development, use the Waterfall method. This online course registration application is effective and efficient because it is supported by an integrated system. This application improves the quality of information and the efficiency of the implementation of online course registration.

In the digital era, almost all activities are done computerized. Now the internet is widely used in business activities. In the field of internet business used for marketing, usually marketing is done through a website of a company. This method is quite powerful in overcoming the limited time for marketing a product company. However, not all business activities do this way of marketing. One business activity that has not fully to use the internet in marketing its products is hotels, hotel has room service services which is still done manually. This way is still less effective against marketing room service services, for it is necessary for a web-based computerized system that can overcome these shortcomings. This research methodology uses SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) through the planning, analysis, design and implementation phase. The final result of this design are a website that can facilitate in overcoming the reservation service room service at hotels.

Abstract: The registration of students is only carried out in several stages, such as inputting the student's personal data, completeness of the requirements file, and announcement of selection results. However, because the new student registration system in Ma'arif NU 1 SMK Kemranjen is still manual, the new student registration service is still considered ineffective and time efficient, because prospective new students must wait for long service, besides the risk of prospective new student documents tucked into other documents because too many docu ments from prospective students are quite large. So we need a new student registration information system at Ma'arif NU 1 Kemranjen Vocational High School to provide better service. Research using methods of observation, interviews and literature studies. The used method in the development of this system is SDLC (Life Cyce Development System) with the waterfall process model. With this system, it is expected that it can support registration data processing so that it is more structured, efficient and effect ive. As well as for community service that is as an information center for schools in disseminating information so that the general public can quickly find accurate information. After almost a century of several attempts to establish a coherent land registration system across the whole country, in 2017 the Portuguese government decided to try a new, digital native approach to the problem. Thus, a web-based platform was created, where property owners from 10 pilot municipalities could manually identify their lands’ properties using a map based on satellite images. After the first month of submissions, it became clear that at the current daily rate, it would take years to achieve the goal of 100% rural property identification across just the 10 municipalities. Field research during the first month after launch enabled us to understand landowners’ relationships with their land, map their struggles with the platform, and prototype ways to improve the whole service. Understanding that these improvements would still not be enough to get to the necessary daily rate, we designed, tested and validated an algorithm that allows us to identify a rural property shape and location without coordinates. Today, we are able to help both Government and landowners identify a rural property location with the click of a button.

Increasing awareness of the importance of services has given rise to the concept of product-service system where goods and services are sold as an integrated package to customers. On the other hand, the emerging sustainability concept has escalated the demand for sustainability for industries. Consequently, it is necessary to build strategies that lead the company to achieve sustainability goals while keeping competitiveness. Drawing on the necessity service and sustainability concept in the quality improvement of the product-service system, this study aims to develop a systematic design tool by filling the gap to the previous studies. We used Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach by considering customer requirements (VoC) and stakeholder requirements (VoSt), instead of VoC only, based on the service and sustainability dimensions. We refer to the proposed QFD approach as QFDSPS. We introduce service productivity index (SPI) to measure the performance of the system. Thus, in the proposed methodology, the strategies for quality improvement were defined as subject to VoC, VoSt, and SPI. The methodology was implemented in a Javanese restaurant which meets the characteristics of a product-service system. The result shows that the proposed method can be implemented. The implications due to the implementation of the method are also discussed.

The use of the internet for teaching and learning has become a global trend among the education practitioners over the recent decades. The integration of technology and media into Malaysian English as a Second Language (ESL) classrooms has altered the methods in English Language Teaching (ELT). In response to the impact of technology in ELT, the needs of a supplementary instructional platform, and the limitations of the learning management system (LMS) in fostering second language (L2) writing skill, a web-based instructional tool was designed and developed based on a theoretical-and-pedagogical framework namely Web-based Cognitive Writing Instruction (WeCWI). To determine the key concepts while identifying the research gap, this study conducted a literature review using online search on specific keywords including “blog”, “Blogger”, “widget”, and “hyperlink” found in the scholarly articles. Based on the review of literature, Blogger was opted due to its on-screen customisable layout editing features that can be embedded with web widgets and hypertext that share the identical features. By looking into the relationship between perceptual learning preferences on perceived information and the visual representations in iconic and symbolic views, the blogs can come with two different user interfaces embedded with web widgets or hypertext. The blog with web widgets appears in a graphical form of iconic view; while hypertext only displays textual form of symbolic view without involving the visual references. With the injection of web widgets and hypertext into the blogs, WeCWI attempts to offer a technological enhanced ELT solution to overcome the poor writing skill with a better engagement while learning online through the learners’ preferred perceptual learning preferences.
