Main objectives of this research are to analyze the increase in understanding biochemistry concepts comprehensively caused by practice concept modifcation (Carbohydate-Enzyme) and analysis the effciency of practical activities caused by practice concept modifcation (Carbohydate-Enzyme). Research conducted in September through November 2015 are analytical descriptive research, there are 80 students as respondents were devided into 2 groups of treatment, namely group A as group with practice module that has not been modifed and group B with practice module that have been modifed. Paired t test result showed that group with practice module were modifed to get the score of post-test evaluation better and signifcantly different than group with practice module that has not been modifed. The validation result of practice module by students, instucture, material experts and media experts showed that practice module modifed is eligible to used as practical module in the future.

  Children under five are a group that is prone to malnutrition because they are still experiencing a growth cycle, a development that requires more nutrients than other age groups. The impact of nutritional deficiencies; low body resistance, the body is susceptible to infectious diseases. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of giving modified dietetic skim and cotton sheet oil (MODISCO) and Formula-75 milk to increase body weight of malnourished children in Puskesmas Waigete, Sikka Regency. The type of research used is Quasy experimental pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was 181 underweight children with malnutrition. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The sample of this study was 24 underweight children with malnutrition, divided into 2 (two), namely group A was given MODISCO intervention and group B was given Formula-75 milk. The intervention was given once a day for 1 month at a dose of 150 kcal / kgbb / day for MODISCO and 1000 ml per day for 75 formula milk. Data analysis used Paired t-Test and Independent Samples Test. Paired T-Test analysis, groups A and B obtained P-value (0.000) <0.05, it was concluded that there was an increase in body weight after being given MODISCO and Formula-75 milk. Based on the analysis of the Independent Samples Test, groups A and B obtained a P-value (0.876)> 0.05, it was concluded that there was no difference in body weight for under-nourished toddlers who were given MODISCO and Formula-75 milk. There is no difference in body weight of malnourished underweight children in group A and group B, so it is concluded that MODISCO and Formula-75 milk can increase the weight of malnourished children underweight. The results of this study are an additional intervention to increase the weight of children under malnutrition.

This paper attempts to explore the role of experiential learning in groups on the participants Self-esteem, Resilience and Tolerance for disagreement. Sample consisted of undergraduate students (N=41) from a seminary located in Nagpur. The Pre-test result showed that over all, initial participant’s responses fell within the normal ranges for self-esteem, resilience and tolerance for disagreement. Paired t test were computed for (N=41) who completed both the pre-test and post-test. These comparisons show a significant increase in means of self esteem, resilience and tolerance for disagreement scores. This increase indicates the importance of team-building workshop having recreation activities, games and exercises.

Abstract : Kind II of DM, Foot Excercise, Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) Value. Many Patients that go through complications of Type II DM. One of the complication is foot diabetik, its needed implementation to prevent of the complication. The implementation that be doing is exercise. Exercise that be doing is foot exercise that have function to increase the peripheral blood circulation. The Objective of the research is to know the effect of foot exercise to Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) value of the type II of DM patient in unit of Persadia Dr. Moewardi hospital year 2015.Kind of the research is quasy experimental research. Design of the research is one group pretest post test design. The researcher conducted measurement value Ankle brachial index (ABI) before doing foot exercise and measurement Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) value after foot exercise. The analysis by using pairet test t-test. Result of the research from paired t-test, the effect of foot exercise showed findings Sig value. (2-tailed) is 0,001 or ABI value p <0.05, with average change ABI value before and after is equal to 0.05211, So from the test result of paired t-test it can be meant that Ho is rejected and Ha be accepted. That have meaning there are effect of foot exercise to ABI value.

Background: Asthma is a chronic life-threatening disease as the airways in the lungs often swollen or inflamed, which makes the airways very sensitive. So, the exposure to the environment in day-to-day life triggers asthma. Asthma can affect at any age group. This study mainly focuses on comparing the effects of Buteyko breathing technique and Pranayama on improving Pulmonary Function in subjects with Bronchial Asthma. Method: Total of 79subjects selected, out of those 66 subjects were included after obtaining the consent document. Subjects are divided into two groups by lottery method, in which 6 subjects dropped. So, the study was completed with 60 subjects. Both groups performed intervention for 1 hour a day 5 days week for 4 weeks. The outcomes of the study were FEV1, FVC & FEV1/FVC ratio. Results: Paired t test was used to assess statically significance between pre and post test scores with in the groups, independent t test was used to access statistical significance of post-test mean score between the groups, statistical analysis of the data revealed that Buteyko Breathing technique group has more difference when compare to Pranayama group. Conclusion: The results had shown that both Group-A (Buteyko Breathing Group) and Group-B (Pranayama Group) has improved significantly on pre and post-test values within the groups but when compared between the groups statistical significance is noted in Group-A. So, this study concludes that Group-A showed significant improvement on Pulmonary Function in subjects with Bronchial Asthma. ABSTRACT. RRRV (Reading, Retelling, Rehearsal, and Videotaping) learning method is a verbal English learning method which is useful to combine reading ability and retelling a story preceeded by doing rehearsal and therefore students’ verbal competence can be increased during this process. This research aims to test the effectiveness in applying RRRV to merely RRR without V. The subjects are students at faculty of language and literature consisting of group A (RRRV) and group B (RRR) only. Pre-test of English proficiency is given to group A and group B before treatment is presented to both of them. The result of the test is used to ascertain whether the goups are homogenous in terms of their English proficiency. It shows that both group A and B have equal ability in TOEFL test result, thus both groups are considered to be homogenous and hence different treatment are given to group A and B. After treatments, data is taken from both groups based on post-test result by retelling the content of story and including video-taping for group A and audio-taping for group B. Meanwhile, data is taken from questionnaire consists of students’ opinion in applying RRRV and RRR method. Data from the test is stored in SPSS version 22 and inferential statistics of independent sample t-test analysis is used to examine if there is significant difference between the use of RRRV and RRR only. The result of questionnaire is analysed using descriptive statistics. Hopefully, the resulf of this research is able to contribute to the body of knowledge about how to improve verbal English proficiency. Keywords: RRRV, RRR, verbal English proficiency

Introduction: The effort in improving dental and oral health could be taken by giving information about oral and dental health as early as possible. Jigsaw cooperative learning method and conventional learning method are two of several learning methods that commonly used in order to giving information about dental and oral health. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison between both learning methods between, jigsaw cooperative and conventional, towards children’s attitude and knowledge of dental and oral health. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental with non-randomized control group pre-test and post-test design. Sixty-eight students aged 10-11 from Muhammadiyah Suronatan Yogyakarta Elementary School was taken as the subjects and divided into 2 groups. Group A (n=36) was jigsaw cooperative learning method group and group B (n=32) was conventional learning method group. Each subject fulfilled two types questionnaire before and after giving lecture, such as attitude’s questionnaire and knowledge’s questionnaire of dental and oral health. Data were analyzed using paired t-test and independent t-test. Results: From the result of paired t-test, it showed that there were significant differences between before and after treatment in both groups at knowledge aspect (Group A: p=0.000 and group B: p=0.015) as well as attitude aspect (group A and B; p=0.000 respectively). Independent t-test showed there were significant differences between both groups in knowledge (p=0.003) and attitude (p=0.000). Conclusion: In this study, there were significant difference between jigsaw cooperative learning method and conventional learning method at knowledge and attitude aspects in children aged 10-11 years old. Children in group jigsaw cooperative learning method have higher score than children in group conventional learning method.

Life Review Therapy merupakanterapi psikoterapi untuk menyelesaikan masalah pada lansia yang mengalami depresi, mengekspresikan perasaan yang disupresikan sehingga energy psikis tersebut dilepaskan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Life Review Therapy terhadap tingkat depresi lansia pada warga binaan sosial di PSTW Budi Mulia Jakarta Selatan.Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment, dengan pendekatan Pre Test and Post Test Without Control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah lansia dengan jumlah sampel 20 orang dengan teknik purposivesampling. Analisis data menggunakan Paired T Test dengan tingkat signifikan (α0,05). Hasil menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh Life Review Therapy terhadap tingkat depresi lansiadengan ρValue=0,000. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, terapi Life Reviewterbukti dapat menurunkan tingkat depresi sehingga terapi ini dapat dijadikan salah satu acuan terapi untuk menangani depresi pada lansia di PSTW

OBJECTIVE To compare the effectiveness of mobilization and self-exercises in the management of adhesive capsulitis of shoulder STUDY DESIGN Randomized Control Trial SAMPLE SELECTION 30 patients of adhesive capsulitis of shoulder from physiotherapy department of tertiary care hospitals of Karachi were selected through simple random sampling technique. PROCEDURE Treatment was continued for 5 days per week for the period of 3 weeks followed by assessment. Patients were randomly divided into two equal groups. Group A was treated with midrange mobilization while group B performed self-exercises. Both groups received TENS and hot pack prior to the exercises. Mean ± SD, frequencies and percentages were used for descriptive analysis. ROM via goniometry and pain intensity through VAS was analyzed by paired t-test within the groups and by independent t-test between the groups, using SPSS. P-value of less than 0.05 was considered significant. RESULTS 60% were females (n=18) and 40% were males (n=12) with mean age of 50.17±6.37 years. Significant improvement (p-value <0.05) in pain and shoulder ROM was observed among patients of Group A as compared to Group B. Pain intensity was decreased to 1.67 ± 0.62 in group A, whereas ROMs in these patients were also better than other group.

Latar belakang: Kondisi sasaran pencapaian Indonesia Sehat 2015 dari program MDG’s yang belum tercapai, sehingga dilanjutkan dengan program SDGs menjadikan Indonesia harus banyak berperan dalam semua kegiatan khsusnya di bidang kesehatan. Proses pencapaian cakupan program kesehatan sangat dipengaruhi oleh Health education yang dilakukan petugas kesehatan kepada warga, kesehatan masyarakat. Tujuan: Penelitain ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan perilaku hidup bersih sehat yang  dilaksanakan warga setelah diberikan intervesi health education.  Metode: Metode penelitian dilaksanakan secara quasi experiment pre dan post test.  Teknik mengambil sampel secara purposive Sampling pada 30 reponden kelompook intervensi dan 26 responden kelompok kontrol. Analisa data dilakukan secara paired t test. Hasil: Hasil di dapat ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan dan perubahan perilaku hidup bersih sehat repsonden sebelum dan sesudah diberi penyuluhan p value = 0,000. Saran: Diharapkan pemerintah setempat menggerakkan petugas kesehatan bersama-sama dengan warga melakukan perilaku hidup bersih sehat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan memfasilitasi  sarana penunjang untuk menjalankan perilaku hidup bersih sehat, dengan maksimal pada warga. Kata kunci: Health eduation,  Perilaku Hidup Bersih Sehat
