This study aims to explain the influence of Discord application in online learning on student learning outcomes and motivation. Quantitative method with quasi-experimental design with 40 samples. Data collection uses tests and questionnaires, analysis data using instrument tests, normality, homogeneity, while hypothetical tests use Wilcoxon, Mann-Whiteney (U), and Spearman tests. The results of post-test experiment class obtained an average score 83.5 higher than control class 61.25. Based on Wilcoxon Test Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) obtained 0.000 < 0.05, Ha1 received, Mann-Whiteney Test (U) High motivation obtained U= 1,500 Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) obtained 0.000 < 0.05, Ha2 Low motivation obtained U=0.000 Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) obtained 0.000 < 0.05, Ha3 received, there is a significant difference between the results of using discord application and using Whatsapp, Spearman Test Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) obtained 0.000 < 0.05, Ha4 received, correlation coefficient value of 0.973** means the relationship between learning motivation variables and learning outcomes is very strong.

This study aims to determine the project-based learning-STEM model's effect on biology learning outcomes in growth and development material. The learning was carried out in class XII IPA students of SMA Negeri 1 Muncar in the 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The instrument in this study was a test given in the experimental class and the control class. The data were analyzed using parametric statistical analysis. There is a difference in the average post-test learning outcomes of the experimental class (PjBL-STEM model) with the control class's post-test learning outcomes using the independent sample t-test. The results of the analysis show that Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.00 0.05, which can be interpreted that there is a significant difference in the average student learning outcomes between the PjBL-STEM model (experimental class) and the conventional model (control class). The average post-test score of the experimental class with the PjBL-STEM model was 87.50, while the average score in the Control class was 79.82, so that there was an increase in the value of 7.68 in the experimental class. The PjBL-STEM model's application to improve learning outcomes can be continued with other materials that have STEM characteristics.

The ability to solve problems is a skill that students need to have in dealing with various problems in life. This study aims to determine the effect of problem based learning models; cognitive styles and interaction between both factors on science learning outcomes of students in class VII of MTs 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur in academic year 2015/2016. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental research method by applying a 2 × 2 factorial design. The study sample consisted of an experimental class of 30 students and a control class of 29 students. Data collection was conducted using two types of instruments, namely the Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) to measure students cognitive styles and students' learning outcomes test in essay forms. The Problem Based Learning model affect the learning outcomes, there is significant difference in science learning outcomes between students who have Cognitive field dependent (FD) style that is taught by the Problem Based Learning model and students who have Cognitive FD style that is taught by conventional learning models. The results show that the value of the experimental class post-test is higher than that of the control class. In short, the experimental class with the application of the Problem Based Learning model in the learning process provides higher learning outcomes than that of the conventional models.

Generic science skills are important in the learning process because generic science skills is an internal factor that affect learning. This study aims to determine the relationship between generic science skills with student learning outcomes in ecology sub materials. The research method used is a correlation studySampling was done by purposive sampling of 2 classes namely XI MIPA 3 and XI MIPA 4 amount of 58 students. Data collect ion techniques were carried out with a post-test of 25 items in the form of descriptions to measure the ability generic science skills. The analysis data technique used Pearson product moment correlation regression test with α 0,05. The result showed that there was a positive correlation between generic science skills and student learning outcomes in ecology sub materials with a correlation coefficient of 0,496 meaning it had a moderate closeness of the relationship.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of inquiry learning methods on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in science subjects of light traits in Catholic Elementary School Nita I. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The sample of this study was 39 students consisting of 20 VA students as the experimental class and 19 VB students as the control class. Learning outcomes tests and learning motivation questionnaire sheets were used to obtain data in this study, with a t-test performed to test hypotheses preceded by a prerequisite analysis test in the form of a normality test. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the inquiry learning method has a positive and significant effect on the students’ learning outcomes. The group of students who took part in the learning with inquiry learning method obtained a better post test score which was equal to 76.25 compared to the group of students who followed conventional learning who obtained a post-test average score of 65.26.

ABSTRAK. Media pendidikan sebagai salah satu sarana meningkatkan mutu pendidikan sangat penting dalam proses PBM. Penggunaan media pendidikan dapat memperbaiki PBM siswa yang pada gilirannya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar yang dicapainya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) terhadap hasil siswa pada mata pelajaran Motor Bensin kelas XI di SMK Negeri 1 Motoling. Penelitian ini dikategorikan dalam penelitian Eksperimen Semu (quasi exsperimental). Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah desain jenis pre-test dan post-test group design. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 4,4360 dan nilai t tabel 1,6772 artinya  nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel maka signifikan. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada penggunaan model pembelajaran Kooperatif TAI (Team Assisted Individualization)  dan konvensional terhadap pencapaian hasil belajar siswa di SMK N 1 Motoling. Based on the hypothesis test, the t value is 4.4360 and the t table value is 1.6772, which means that the t value is greater than the t table, so it is significant. These results indicate that there is a significant difference in the use of the cooperative learning model TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) and conventional to the achievement of student learning outcomes at SMK N 1 Motoling. This research aimed to know the effect of using metacognitive strategy towards student’s reading comprehension. The design was quasi-experimental. The sample consists of 69 students in two classes. The instrument consists of reading test which was tried out. The treatment for the experiment group was metacognitive strategy and for the control group was the strategy that the teacher use in the class. The data were collected through pre-test and post-test. The activity in the classroom during six meetings, two meetings for pre-test and post-test and four meetings for teaching in the classroom. The data was analyzed by The Wilcoxon Test and The Mann-Whitney Test. The Wilcoxon Test for the control group showed that there was no significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The Wilcoxon test for the experiment group showed that there was significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The Mann-Whitney test for pre-test showed that there was no significant difference between experiment and control class. The Mann-Whitney test for post-test showed that there was significant difference between experiment and control class. Finding of the research showed that, there was significant difference between pre-test and post-test for the experiment class and there was significant differece between experiment and control class for post-test result. This result indicated that there was an effect of metacognitive strategy towards student’s reading comprehension

This study aims to determine the differences of student learning outcomes and student learning activities using Jigsaw learning model and Role Playing learning model on Human Circulatory Systems in SMA 3 Pematangsiantar.This type of research is quasi-experimental with two group pre-test and post-test design. The population is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar consisting of 7 classes. Sampling is done by purposive sampling, the sample is taken from the population as much as two classes because of the class is heterogeneous (superior) and the selection of samples based on the instructions of the tutors and the school. The instrument used for the test result of learning as much as 25 questions and student activity observation sheet. Class XI IPA 3 is given treatment with Role Playing learning model. Class XI IPA 5 is given treatment with Jigsaw learning model. From the calculation result of t-test two parties obtained tcount = 3.30 and ttable = 1.99, so tcount> ttable. Data acquisition shows that there is a significant difference between Jigsaw and Role Playing type of learning model on learning outcomes and student learning activities on Human Circulatory System material in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar. Where classes taught by the Jigsaw learning model get higher learning outcomes than the classes taught by the Role Playing learning model. Student activity on Jigsaw type and Role Playing learning can be categorized quite actively.Keywords: Jigsaw, Role Playing, learning outcomes, student learning activities.
