Media salinity is a masking factor that plays an important role in controlling the process of shrimp molting and osmoregulation. Both of them are ecophysiological factors for shrimp life, so it is necessary to know the optimum level or range of media salinity for each phase of the molting phase changes in the stage and osmoregulation phase. This study was conducted to examine the molting frequency of adult L. vannamei which was ablated and cultivated at various levels of salinity. This research was carried out for 60 days. This study uses experimental laboratory methods with a systematic randomized design (RAS) with 4 treatments and 3 replications in each treatment. The treatments tested were salinity with S1 treatments (10 ppt, 289.20 mOsm / l postmolt H2O isosmotic), S2 (15 ppt, 432.80 mOsm / l H2O initial intermolt isosmotic), S3 (25 ± 1 ppt, 725, 15 mOsm / l H2O isosmotic final intermolt) and S4 (29 ± 1 ppt, 820.10 mOsm / l H2O isosmotic molt). Data were analyzed with ANOVA. Meanwhile, the difference in effect between treatments was obtained through Duncan's multiple area test. ANOVA results showed that various levels of isoosmotic media salinity at various molting phases had an influence (p <0.05) on molting frequency. The best value of molting frequency was in the S4 treatment (29 ± 1 ppt) (close to isoosmotic molt) 10 times. In the maintenance of L. vannamei which is affixed, it should pay attention to the needs of isoosmotic media, namely media with a salinity of 25 ± 1-29 ± 1 ppt (final intermolt isoosmotic range / premolt to molt). the difference in effect between treatments was obtained through Duncan's multiple region test. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still one of the major public health problems in the world and Indonesia. There are several methods of mosquito vector control, one of them is the use of ovitrap and the addition of attractants which is a compound that may attract gravid mosquitoes to lay eggs. Some examples of attractants are hay infusion and sugar fermentation solution. This research aimed to compare effectiveness of hay infusion  and sugar fermentation solution as Aedes aegypti attractants. This research type was true experimental laboratory with complete randomized design which is divided into 3 groups of ovitrap containing aquades as control, 20% hay infusion and 20% sugar fermentation solution. Ovitraps with those attractants were put into a mosquito coop containing 25 gravid female mosquitoes. Mosquito’s eggs counting was done after 2 days with 9 times repetition. The data were then analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney test. It was found that the difference of mosquito’s eggs number in the ovitrap containing the fermentation solution of sugar and hay infusion had a significance value of 0.000 (p> 0,05). Tepung kerang memiliki kandungan protein 2-3%, dan kalsium 30-40%, dengan besarnya persentasi kalsium yang dihasilkan dari tepung kerang tersebut maka diharapkan kebutuhan mineral yang dibutuhkan oleh ikan terpenuhi dan limbah yang dihasilkan pun dapat di kurangi. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental laboratoris menggunakan rangcangan percobaan Rancangan Acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu perbedaan konsentrasi penambahan tepung cangkang kerang darah 0% (P0) sebagai kontrol, 5% (P1), dan 10% (P2), 15% (P3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan nyata pemberian tepung cangkang kerang darah pada pakan benih ikan lele dimana  tingkat kelangsungan hidup yang tertinggi terdapat pada P2 (10%) sebesar 58%, pertambahan berat juga terdapat pada P2 sebesar 1,55 gr dan pertambahan panjang sebesar 1,82cm. Adanya pengaruh yang nyata terhadap pemberian pakan terdapat pada perlakuan P3 (15%) sebesar 101.88 % dimana Fhit (4.88) >Ftab (5%) sebesar 3.86 dan (1%) sebesar 6.99. Suhu dari awal hingga akhir penelitian berkisar antara 28-310C, dan untuk pH memiliki nilai kisaran antara 6,38 sampai 3,91. Nilai DO pada P0 sebesar 3,0-3,2; P1 sebesar 3,2-3,5; P2 sebesar 3,5-3,6; dan P3 sebesar 2,0-3,1. Nilai nitrat berkisar antara 0-40 dimana nilai yang tertinggi terdapat pada P1 sebesar 10-40, sedangkan nilai nitrit pada tiap perlakuan memiliki nilai yang sama yaitu 0-0,25.The shellfish has protein 2-3% and calcium 30-40%, with the large of calcium produced from the shellfish it is expected the required mineral of the fish need are met and the resulting waste can be reduced. The research was done experimental laboratory using a complete Randomized Design (RAL) experiment with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment applied was the difference of concentration of flour shell starch 0% (P0) as control, 5% (P1), and 10% (P2), 15% (P3). The result showed that there was no significant difference of flour shell meal on catfish seed feed where the highest survival rate was found in P2 (10%) 58%, weight gain was also found in P2 1.55 gr and 1% , 82cm. There was a significant effect on feeding in P3 treatment (15%) of 101.88% where Fhit (4.88)> Ftab (5%) was 3.86 and (1%) was 6.99. The temperature from beginning to end of the study ranges from 28-310C, and for pH has a value range between 6.38 to 3.91. The DO value at P0 was 3.0-3.2; P1 of 3.2-3.5; P2 of 3.5-3.6; and P3 of 2.0-3.1. Nitrate value ranges from 0-40 where the highest value is in P1 was 10-40, while the nitrite value in each treatment has the same value that is 0-0.25.

Motile Aeromonas Septicaemia disease (MAS) attacking tilapia has increased in recent years as a consequence of intensive aquaculture activities, which led to losses in aquaculture industry. The agent causing MAS disease is Aeromonas hydrophila. The disease can be controlled with the β-glucan. As immunostimulants, β-glucans can also increase resistance in farmed tilapia. Studies on the use of β-glucan extracted from baker's yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae was intended to evaluate the non-specific immune system of tilapia that were challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila. The method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design consisting of four treatments with three replicats. The dose of β-glucan used as treatments were 0 mg.kg-1 fish (Control), 5 mg.kg-1 fish (B), 10 mg.kg-1 fish (C) and 20 mg.kg-1 fish (D), each treatment as injected three times at intervals of 3 days, the injection volume of 0.5 ml/fish for nine days and resistance surveillance for seven days. The results showed that the difference in the amount of β-glucan and the frequency of the injected real influence on total leukocytes, phagocytic activity and resistance. Total leukocytes, phagocytic activity and resistance to treatment was best achieved by the administration of C a dose of  10 mg.kg-1 of the fish© Penyakit Motil Aeromonas Septicaemia (MAS) yang menyerang ikan nila mengalami peningkatan selama beberapa tahun terakhir sebagai konsekuensi dari kegiatan akuakultur intensif, yang menyebabkan kerugian dalam industri budidaya. Agen utama penyebab penyakit MAS adalah Aeromonas hydrophila. Untuk mengendalikan penyakit tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian β-glukan. Sebagai imunostimulan, β-glukan juga dapat  meningkatkan resistensi pada ikan nila yang dibudidayakan. Pengkajian mengenai pemanfaatan β-glukan yang diekstrak dari ragi roti Saccharomyces cerevisiae dimaksudkan untuk menguji sistem imun non spesifik ikan nila yang diuji tantang dengan bakteri Aeromonas hydrophila. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Dosis β-glukan  yang digunakan sebagai perlakuan sebesar 0 mg.kg-1 ikan (Kontrol), 5 mg.kg-1 ikan (B), 10 mg.kg-1 ikan (C) dan 20 mg.kg-1 ikan (D), masing-masing perlakuan diinjeksi sebanyak 3 kali dengan interval waktu 3 hari selama 9 hari, volume injeksi 0,5 mL/ekor ikan dan pengamatan resistensi selama tujuh hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan jumlah β-glukan dan frekuensi pemberian yang diinjeksikan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap total leukosit, aktivitas fagositosis dan resistensi. Total leukosit, aktivitas fagositosis dan resistensi terbaik dicapai pada perlakuan C dengan dosis 10 mg.kg-1 ikan©

This study aimed to determine the effect of ovaprim hormone, aromatase inhibitor and pituitary on the quality of the catfish eggs (Clarias gariepinus). Experimental Design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments, each with three replications. Treatment A: ovaprim; treatment B: Aromatase inhibitors, treatment C: hypophysis and treatment D: Control. The results showed that the difference in treatment gave highly significant effect on fertilization and hatching eggs but no significant effect on the survival rate of larvae. Aromatase inhibitor hormone was the best because it provided highly significant effect on fertilization (92.66%), hatchability of eggs (95%), and surviva rate (81.33%) of fish larvae.   Keywords : Clarias gariepinus. <p>Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui paket teknologi yang memberikan produksi jagung manis varietas Master Sweet yang terbaik.  Rancangan Perlakuan yang diuji adalah paket teknologi pupuk Bio Extrim dan ZPT Hormax yang terdiri dari delapan taraf, dan rancangan lingkungan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan uji beda rata-rata perlakuan DMRT pada p 0.5.    Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa paket teknologi dengan pemberian Hormax tanpa Bio Extrim menghasilkan kadar gula yang terbaik.</p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p><em>The aim of the research was to find out the technology package that gives the best Sweet Sweet varieties production. The treatment design tested was the Bio Extreme fertilizer technology package and the Hormax ZPT consisting of eight levels, and the environmental design used was a complete randomized design with the difference test of the average DMRT treatment at p 0.5. The results showed that the technology package with Hormax without Bio Extreme resulted in the best sugar content</em></p>

ABSTRACT Cowpea is broadly cultivated worldwide, especially in semi-arid or arid regions where soil or irrigation water salt contents can negatively influence the species’ productive capacity. The objective of this study was to evaluate the morphophysiological responses of cowpea genotypes to irrigation water salinity. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, under a completely randomized design with nine replications and in a 5x3 factorial scheme. Treatments consisted of five levels of irrigation water electrical conductivity - EC (EC0: 0.55; EC1: 1.60; EC2: 3.20; EC3: 4.80 and EC4: 6.40 dS m-1), applied from the 15th day after sowing (DAS), and three cowpea genotypes (G1: BRS Imponente; G2: MNC04-795F-168 and G3: MNC04-795F-159). EC increases at 35 DAS promoted stem diameter reductions of 8.0% (G1), 11.4% (G2), and 7.7% (G3), indicating different resistance to salinity by each genotype. Leaf area reductions at 25 and 38 DAS were 30.9% and 38.8% for EC0 and EC4, respectively. The BRS Imponente cultivar presented a performance superior to those of G2 and G3 in relation to stem diameter and stem dry matter at 25 DAS, and root-shoot and root-leaf ratios at 38 DAS.

This study was aimed to evaluate the utilization of hydrolyzed Indigofera zolingeriana by celullase enzyme as the feed ingredient of gourami fish. This study used a completely randomized design which contained three steps, whereas each step contained four treatments and four replications. The first step performed by evaluating the Indigofera leaf meal (ILM) added with cellulase enzyme of 0 g/kg (control), 0.4 g/kg, 0.8 g/kg, and 1.2 g/kg. The second step was the digestibility test of ILM on gourami seeds. The third step was feed evaluation added with ILM as much as 0% (control), 15%, 30%, and 45% against the growth performance on gourami seeds. The gourami seeds used in the second and third steps with a weight of 13.65 ± 0.39 g/seed and 5.95 ± 0.15 g/seed, respectively. The addition of 0.8 g/kg and 1.2 g/kg cellulase enzyme could significantly decrease the crude fiber of ILM with 43.33%, besides having the best value of total, ingredient, protein, lipid, and energy digestibility. The growth performance of gourami seeds given 15% ILM added feed had the best value and insignificantly different from the control feed without ILM addition based on the specific growth rate (SGR), protein retention (PR), and feed efficiency (FE).          Keywords: Cellulase, feed, hydrolyze, Indigofera zolingeriana, Osphronemus gouramy.   ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan daun Indigofera zolingeriana yang dihidrolisis enzim selulase sebagai bahan baku pada pakan benih ikan gurami. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri atas tiga tahap, dimana masing-masing tahap terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Pada tahap pertama dilakukan evaluasi tepung daun Indigofera (TDI) yang ditambahkan enzim selulase sebesar 0 g/kg (kontrol), 0.4 g/kg, 0.8 g/kg, dan 1.2 g/kg. Pada tahap kedua dilakukan uji kecernaan bahan TDI pada benih ikan gurami. Pada tahap ketiga dilakukan evaluasi pakan yang ditambahkan TDI sebesar 0% (kontrol), 15%, 30% dan 45%  terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan pada benih ikan gurami. Benih ikan gurami yang digunakan pada penilitian tahap kedua dengan bobot 13.65 ± 0.39 g/ekor dan 5.95 ± 0.15 g/ekor. Penambahan enzim selulase pada dosis 0.8 g/kg dan 1.2 g/kg secara signifikan mampu menurunkan serat kasar TDI sebesar 43.33 % dan memberikan nilai terbaik terhadap nilai kecernaan total, kecernaan bahan, kecernaan protein, kecernaan lemak dan kecernaan energi. Kinerja pertumbuhan benih ikan gurami yang diberikan pakan yang ditambahkan TDI sebesar 15% memilki nilai terbaik dan tidak berbeda nyata terhadap pakan kontrol tanpa TDI dari aspek laju pertumbuhan spesifik (LPS), retensi protein (RP) dan efisiensi pakan (EP).   Kata kunci: Hidrolisis, Indigofera zolingeriana, Osphronemus gouramy, pakan, selulase.

ABSTRACT The research was conducted at Mrs. Sripurwanti's farm in Rejotangan Village, Rejotangan Sub-district, Tulung Agung Regency. The research was conducted from 1 March to 1 April 2017. The aim of the research to determine the difference in the solution of Vitamin B Complex to the results of domestic chicken include hatchability, mortality and hatching weight. Research material using selected 225 eggs of chicken eggs and Vitamin B Complex as many as 30 grains. The research method used is experiments with Completely Randomized Design (RAL). The study was divided into 5 treatments and 5 replications per repeat consisting of 9 eggs. Treatment consists of the addition of Vitamin B complex as much as 0, 45 mg, 90 mg, 135 mg, and 180 mg The results are expected can provide information about alternative moisture enhancer ingredients namely Vitamin B Komplek. The results showed that vitamin B complex was not significant (P> 0.05) to hatchability, live eggs and die 2nd candling , mortality, and hatching weight. Vitamin B complex has significant effect (P <0,05) on hatchability and mortality based on candling to 2. Result of the research can be concluded that giving Vitamin B Complex as much as 45 mg deserves to be additive addition of humidity because it can increase the percentage of hatchability by 15%

Marshmallow belongs to a high-calorie food that requires a low-calorie substitute for sucrose, one of which is sorbitol. Marshmallow has the potential to become a functional food with the addition of inulin contained within white sweet potatoes. Inulin refers to a type of fructan carbohydrate which contains fiber and has the potential as a prebiotic that is beneficial for the human’s body. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of white sweet potato (Ipomea batatas L.) inulin extract and sorbitol on the physical, chemical and organoleptic characteristic of marshmallows and to obtain the best marshmallow’s formula through white sweet potato (Ipomea batatas L.) inulin extract and sorbitol addition. The completely randomized design method (CRD) applied in this study consisted of one factor, namely the difference in formulation between the concentration of white sweet potato inulin extract (2% and 3%) and the concentration of sorbitol (25%, 50%, and 75%). The statistical analysis utilized the One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method using SPSS. The results of this study indicated that the addition of white sweet potato inulin extract and sorbitol had a significant effect on tensile strength, density, moisture content, ash content, total calories, dietary fiber, and organoleptic characteristics of marshmallows. The best formula for marshmallows was formula 4 with the addition of 2% white sweet potato inulin extract and 50% sorbitol.

Abstrak. Keumamah (ikan kayu) merupakan makanan tradisional khas Aceh yang dibuat dari ikan tuna.Tetapi ikan kayu (keumamah) tersebut tidak dikemas, yang menyebabkan ikan kayu (keumamah) cepat terserangbakteri dan pertumbuhan jamur jenis Penicillium sp. Untuk itu diperlukan alternatif pengawet alami dalampenelitian ini yaitu kitosan yang berasal dari cangkang kulit udang sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan ediblecoating. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsentrasi kitosan terbaik sebagai edible coating untukmemperpanjang masa simpan keumamah pada suhu ruang. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan AcakLengkap (RAL) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi Kitosan (K) yaitu K0 = 0%kontrol, K2 = 1% Kitosan, K2 = 2% kitosan. Faktor kedua adalah lama penimpanan (P) yaitu P1 =4 minggu,P2= 6 minggu, dan P3=8 minggu. Nilai a w yang dihasilkan pada penelitian ini 0,65, kadar air 4,35%, totalmikroba 7,51 cfu ml/gram, TBA 0,25 manoldehida/gram, kadar protein 36,79%, dan organoleptik tekstur 2,48.Perbedaan konsentrasi kitosan pada keumamah berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap a w , dan lama penyimpananberpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar air, total mikroba, Thiobarbituric Acid (TBA), analisis protein, danorganoleptik deskriptif aroma . Berpengaruh nyata terhadap nilai organoleptik warna. Dan tidak berpengaruhnyata terhadap uji organoletik tekstur serta tidak terdapatnya bakteri E.coli pada keumamah berkonsentrasikitosan. Pada keumamah konsentrasi terbaik di tunjukkan pada konsentrasi 1% dan 2%.Abstract. Keumamah (wooden fish) is Acehnese traditional food made from tuna fish. But, tradisionalkeumamah was unpackaged, this caused easily attacked by pest and growth penicillium sp. Natural preservativeneeded in this study is chitosan shrimps skin shells as primary substance to make edible coating. The objective ofthis study is to obtain the best chitosan concretations as edible coating to extend keumamah shelf life in roomtemperature. This study used completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors. First factor is chitosanconsentration (K) K0=0% control, K1=1% Chitosan, K2=2% Chitosan. Second factor is long storage (P) P1= 4weaks, P2= 6 weaks, P3= 8 weaks. A w produced in this study is 0,65, moisture 4,35, total plate count 7,51, TBA,0,25 manoldehida/gram, Protein 36,79%, and organoleptic test texture 2,48. The difference of chitosanconsentration in keumamah influenced significantly to a w , and long storage influenced to moisture, TotalPlate Count (TPC), and fragrance and texture organoleptic and not influenced to Thiobarbituric Acid (TBA) andE. coli bacteria not found in keumamah coated by edible coating.
