Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; 1) hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa; 2) mengetahui hubungan antara minat belajar matematika dengan kemampuan penalaran matematis; dan 3) mengetahui hubungan yang simultan antara kecerdasan emosional dan minat belajar matematika terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa.  Metode yang digunakan adalah korelasional. Populasinya adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 10 Ruteng, kecamatan Ruteng, kabupaten Mangarai, provinsi NTT yang berjumlah 225 siswa. Dengan Teknik random diperoleh 70 siswa sebagai sampel, selanjutnya dengan menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling diperoleh sampel dari masing-masing kelas yaitu 10 siswa. Angket dan soal tes uraian merupakan instrumen yang digunakan. Data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi sederhana dan korelasi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; 1) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan penalaran matematis siswa, dengan kontribusi sebesar 23,3%; 2) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara minat belajar matematika dengan penalaran matematis siswa, dengan kontribusi sebesar 16%; 3) terdapat hubungan yang simultan antara kecerdasan emosional dan minat belajar matematika terhadap penalaran matematis, dengan kontribusi sebesar 30,2%.

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Palu. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Palu yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling, jumlah siswa yang menjadi sampel sebanyak 44 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua instrumen yaitu, kuisioner kecerdasan emosional dan dokumentasi prestasi belajar dari nilai rapor. Hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan uji korelasi product moment diperoleh nilai korelasi r = 0,417. Nilai rtabel = 0,297 untuk N = 44 dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Nilai rhitung (0,417) > rtabel (0,297) maka diputuskan menerima hipotesis alternatif (H1) dan menolak hipotesis awal (H0). Artinya terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Palu. Kata kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional dan Prestasi Belajar Matematika The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence with mathematics learning achievement of VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 8 Palu. The population of this study is all students of VIII grade at SMP Negeri 8 Palu consisting of 5 classes. The sample was obtained by using random sampling technique. The total number of the sample was 44 students. The data collection used two instruments, namely, emotional intelligence questionnaire and documentation of learning achievement from the report card. The results of data analysis using product moment correlation test obtained correlation value r = 0.417. Value of rtable = 0,297 for N = 44 with significance level 5%. The value of rcount (0.417)> rtable (0.297) then decided to accept the alternative hypothesis (H1) and reject the initial hypothesis (H0). This means there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and mathematics learning achievement of VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 8 Palu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan minat belajar dan media pembelajaran dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Wolter Monginsidi Kecamatan Kaliwungu Kabupaten Kendal. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif jenis korelasi. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah Simple Random Sampling sebanyak 141 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dengan analisis statistic deskriptif dan analisis product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara minat belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika , nilai rhitung = 0,460 dan termasuk kategori sedang serta berkontribusi sebesar 37,9%; (2) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara media pembelajaran dengan hasil belajar matematika , nilai rhitung = 0,342 dan termasuk kategori rendah serta berkontribusi sebesar 24,5%; (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara minat belajar dan media pembelajaran secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar matematika, nilai rhitung = 0,468 dan termasuk kategori sedang serta berkontribusi sebesar 41,4 %. The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship of learning interest and learning media with mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students of the Wolter Monginsidi Elementary School in Kaliwungu District, Kendal Regency. This research is a quantitative type of correlation study. The sample technique used was Simple Random Sampling of 141 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis techniques with descriptive statistical analysis andanalysis product moment. The results showed that: (1) there was a positive and significant relationship between learning interest and mathematics learning outcomes, rcount = 0.460 and included in the moderate category and contributed 37.9%; (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning media and mathematics learning outcomes, rcount = 0.342 and is categorized as low and contributes 24.5%; (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning interest and learning media together with mathematics learning outcomes, rcount value = 0.468 and is included in the moderate category and contributes 41.4%.

Abstract. This study aims to describe the effect of emotional intelligence, parents’ attention, and mathematics learning habits on students' achievement in mathematics, both simultaneously and partially. This study is an ex post facto research that is correlational. The subjects of the study were students of Class XI of SMK 1 Tomoni. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results showed that there was a positive effect of emotional intelligence, parents’ attention, and mathematics learning habits on students' achievement in mathematics, both simultaneously and partially. Keywords: emotional intelligence, parents’ attention, mathematics learning habits, students' achievement in mathematics. Abstrak. Penalaran matematis menggunakan pola pikir logis dalam menganalisa suatu masalah yang nanti pada akhirnya akan ditandai dengan aktivitas menyimpulkan atas masalah tersebut. Seseorang yang memiliki penalaran yang baik, tentunya akan berhati-hati dalam bertindak dan memutuskan sesuatu. Materi-materi pada kalkulus merupakan materi yang ada pada tingkat sekolah menengah yang nantinya menjadi lahan mengajar mahasiswa calon guru matematika S-1. Kemampuan penalaran yang dikaji mempengaruhi pembelajaran mahasiswa kedepannya karena berlaku pada matakuliah lanjut, contohnya pada kemampuan pembuktian akan selalu digunakan pada matakuliah persamaan diferensial, struktur aljabar, analisis  vektor, analisis real, dll. Sedangkan sebagai calon guru yang nantinya mengajar pada tingkat sekolah menengah, maka kemampuan penalaran ini menjadi salah satu capaian pembelajaran matematika bagi siswa sekolah menengah, maka oleh karena itu guru yang mengajarnya haruslah memiliki kemampuan penalaran yang baik. Analisis kesalahan sangat penting untuk melakukan evaluasi dan refleksi pada struktur soal maupun pada perlakuan dalam pembelajaran dalam upaya memperbaiki kemampuan penalarannya.   Mathematical reasoning uses a logical mindset in analyzing a problem that will eventually be marked by concluding activity on the problem. Someone who has good reason, will certainly be careful in acting and deciding something. The material content on the calculus is the material that exists at the secondary school level which will become the field of teaching the prospective master of math teacher bachelor. The reasoning ability studied influences student learning in the future as it applies to advanced courses, for example in the ability of proof will always be used in the course of differential equations, algebraic structure, vector analysis, real analysis, etc. While as a teacher candidate who will teach at the secondary school level, then this reasoning ability becomes one of the achievements of mathematics learning for high school students, therefore teachers who teach it must have good reasoning ability. Error analysis is very important to evaluate and reflect on the problem structure as well as on the treatment in learning in order to improve the reasoning ability.

This correlational research aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence, independent learning and learning creativity with the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Blahbatuh. Data collection was carried out by means of questionnaires and tests. The sample used is a number of 80 people who are determined by the cluter random sampling technique. Hypothesis test used is simple and multiple regression with a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and mathematics learning outcomes, the relative contribution is 46%. There is a significant relationship between independent learning and mathematics learning outcomes, the relative contribution is 39%. There is a significant relationship between creativity and mathematics learning outcomes, the relative contribution is 64%. There is an influence between emotional intelligence, independent learning and learning creativity with mathematics learning outcomes of students with a relative contribution of 62%.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh: kecerdasan emosional, kecerdasan spritual, minat belajar, dan lingkungan keluarga terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dan menggunakan metode Expost facto dengan pendekatan assosiatif kausal. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 917 siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Se Kabupaaten Ende. Sampel sebanyak 400 siswa ditentukan dengan teknik Stratified random sampling. Data kecerdasan emosional, kecerdasan spritual, minat belajar dan lingkungan keluarga dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner sedangkan data hasil belajar dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar. Pengujian validitas dilakukan dengan Expert judgment dan Confirmatory Factor Analisis (CFA) sedangkan pengujian reabilitas menggunakan Cronbach Alpa (α). Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut : secara parsial kecerdasan emosional memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar, kecerdasan spritual memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar, minat belajar tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar, lingkungan keluarga memberi pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar. Sedangkan secara simultan faktor tersebut memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar.Kata kunci: kecedasan emosional, kecerdasan spritual, minat belajar, lingkungan keluarga, hasil belajar ekonomi. FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE OUTCOME STUDIED ECONOMICS AT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLAbstractThis research aims to reveal the effect of: emotional intelligence, spritual intelligence, learning interest, and family background on the learning achievement in economics, partially or simultaneously. The data of emotional intelligence, spritual intelligence, learning interest, and family background were gathered by using a questionnare, while the data of learning achievement were gathered by using a the tes. Validitas test is carried out by Expert judgement and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) while testing the reabilitas using a Cronbach Alpha (α). Double regression was used for statictic analysing the data. The Results of the study are as follows: partially emotional intelligence give influence on the results of the study, spiritual intelligence give influence on the results of the study, the learning interest in not giving effect on the results of the study, family environment gives the effect on the results of the study. In this study, a mobile learning system (MLS) was developed and adopted to facilitate elementary second-grade students to learn mathematics. A quasi-experimental design was adopted. There were two learning models, including the typical instruction group (TI group) and MLS group. The learning content is the topic of multiplication. A total of 93 s-grade students from four classes in a public elementary school in Northern Taiwan participated in this research. Participants were randomly divided into the MLS group (47 participants: 22 boys and 25 girls) and the TI group (46 participants: 26 boys and 20 girls). Participants in the MLS group received mathematics instruction in the MLS, whereas those in the TI group received direct instruction in typical classrooms. All students took the pretest and posttest of mathematics learning achievement test and mathematics learning interest scale assess their improvement of learning achievement and learning interest after the learning activities. The findings revealed that students in the MLS group had significantly better improvement in their mathematics learning interest and mathematics learning achievement than those in the TI group. In addition, students in the MLS group had significantly better performance in answering items of comprehension and application levels in the mathematics learning achievement test.

This class action research aims to improve the quality of emotional intelligence and mathematics learning achievement of students in class VII-F of SMP Negeri 5 Purwokerto by applying Quantum teaching to mathematics learning. After applying Quantum teaching emotional intelligence and mathematics learning achievement of students increased. This research was conducted in three cycles. Data collection techniques through observation by observers and filling out questionnaires by students, and data analysis was done in the description with scoring techniques. Based on the results of the research that has been done it can be concluded the following matters: 1) There is an increase in students' emotional intelligence in the process of learning mathematics. This can be seen from the increase in the average observations and emotional intelligence questionnaire results of students from cycle I to cycle III. In cycle III, the average results of observation of emotional intelligence were 2.53 with the criteria of emotionally intelligent students and the average results of students' emotional intelligence questionnaire in cycle III was 2.87 with the criteria of emotionally intelligent students. 2) There is an increase in students' mathematics learning achievement in the material lines and angles. This can be seen from the increase in grade point average and mastery learning. The average value of the class before the application of Quantum teaching was 72.21 with a mastery of learning at 54.54% after the implementation of the Quantun teaching completeness of student learning rose to 74.194% with an average grade of 76.548. Thus the application of Quantum teaching in mathematics learning succeeded in increasing emotional intelligence and mathematics learning achievement of VII-F graders of SMP Negeri 5 Purwokerto

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan kemampuan koneksi matematika, rasa ingin tahu, dan self-efficacy dengan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas X di Kabupaten Brebes. Sampel adalah 362 siswa yang berasal dari enam sekolah di Kabupaten Brebes ditentukan dengan stratified propotional random sampling technique. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes dan angket dengan skala likert. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis linier ganda dan analisis korelasi parsial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis, rasa ingin tahu, dan self-efficacy secara bersama-sama berhubungan dengan kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa SMA, dimana kontribusi yang diberikan sebesar 46,3%, serta persamaan regresi yang diperoleh yaitu Y = 0,97 + 0,422X1 + 0,059 X2 + 0,041 X3. Hubungan antara kemampuan koneksi matematis (X1) dengan kemampuan penalaran (Y) dengan kontribusi sebesar 23,27%. Hubungan antara rasa ingin tahu (X2) dengan kemampuan penalaran dengan kontribusi sebesar 3,59%. Hubungan antara self-efficacy (X3) dengan kemampuan penalaran dengan kontribusi sebesar 1,81%. Relationship between mathematical connection ability, curiosity, and self-efficacy with mathematical reasoning abilityAbstractThis study aimed to describe the relationship between mathematical connection ability, curiosity, and self-efficacy and the mathematical reasoning ability of senior high school students. This study was a quantitative ex post facto study. The population comprised all tenth-grade students of senior high school in Brebes District, Indonesia. The sample was 362 students from six schools that were established using the stratified proportional random sampling technique. The data were collected through a test and Likert-scale questionnaires. The data were analyzed using multiple regression and partial correlation analysis. The results showed that mathematical connection ability, curiosity, and self-efficacy, as an aggregate correlated with mathematical reasoning ability, with a contribution of 46,3% obtained by the regression model Y = 0.97 + 0.422X1 + 0.059 X2 + 0.041 X3. The relationship between mathematical connection and mathematical reasoning ability with the contribution of 23.27%. The relationship between curiosity and mathematical reasoning ability with the contribution of 3.59%.  The relationship between self-efficacy and mathematical reasoning ability with the contribution of 1.81%.

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan Problem-based learning (PBL). Penelitian tindakan ini dilaksanakan dengan empat tahapan (perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi), mengadaptasi model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Sebanyak 26 siswa kelas VII.B SMP Taman Dewasa Jetis Yogyakarta dijadikan sebagai subyek penelitian ini. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data terdiri dari angket, lembar observasi, dan tes. Data minat dan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dianalisis secara kualitatif, sedangkan data prestasi belajar dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat, serta prestasi belajar matematika yang tinggi dari kondisi awal siswa. Beberapa kesimpulan yang diperoleh antara lain sebagai berikut. Pertama, PBL telah meningkatkan minat belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa di kelas VII.B SMP Taman Dewasa Jetis, Yogyakarta, setelah dilakukan tindakan sebanyak dua siklus. Kedua, peningkatan minat belajar siswa disebabkan karena kedudukan siswa dalam PBL tidak lagi bersifat pasif. Ketiga, hadirnya berbagai masalah-masalah matematika yang dekat dengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari siswa, membuat konsep matematika yang abstrak lebih mudah dipahami sehingga tidak hanya minat, tetapi prestasi belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan. Keempat, keberhasilan pelaksanaan PBL sangat ditentukan oleh konsistensi guru dalam melaksanakan perannya sebagai fasilitator pembelajaran. Sejumlah faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan penelitian juga dibahas dalam artikel. Problem-based learning in mathematics learning: Teacher's efforts to increase students’ learning interest and achievementAbstractThis classroom action research aims to increase learning interest and mathematics learning achievement of students by implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL). This action research conduct in four stages (planning, implementation, observation, and reflection) as the Kemmis dan Mc Taggart model suggests. A total of 26 students in class VII.B in SMP Taman Dewasa Jetis, Yogyakarta, were involved in this action research. The instruments used in data collection consisted of a questionnaire, observation sheet, and test. Data on learning interest and implementation of learning are analyzed qualitatively, while data on learning achievement are analyzed quantitatively. The results of the analysis showed an increase in interest, as well as high mathematics learning achievement from the initial conditions. Some conclusions obtained as follows. First, PBL has increased the learning interest and achievement of students in class VII.B of Taman Dewasa Jetis, Yogyakarta, after taking two cycles of action. Second, the increase in students’ interest in learning is due to the position of students in the PBL that is no longer passive. Third, the presence of various mathematical problems that are close to the context of the daily life of students makes the abstract mathematical concepts more easily understood so that not only interest but student achievement also increases. Fourth, the success of implementing PBL is largely determined by the consistency of the teacher in carrying out his role as a facilitator of learning. Several factors that influenced the success of this research were discussed in the article.
