Tungku Tigo Sajarangan holds a vital role in the deliberation process of the development in the Minangkabau community, regardless of the lack of synergy. This study aims to analyze and describe the position of this customary institution in the development planning of Bukik Batabuah Nagari in Candung District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. The qualitative methods used in the data collection were semi-structured interview techniques comprising 20 informants, as well as field observations and documentation. Subsequently, the results showed that there was synergy from the perspective of individual and behavioral dimensions. Although this synergy was not observed from the position dimension, especially the Cadiak Pandai element, it can still be overcome by mutual control.  Concerning the dimensions of the relationship with other parties, Tungku Tigo Sajarangan remains active and participates in providing recommendations and opinions. This activity was observed even though no village regulation came from the Bamus Nagari initiative in implementing the village administration. Consequently, it was concluded that Tungku Tigo Sajarangan has played an active role in the planning process for the development of Bukik Batabuah Nagari. Also, the research recommended that the leadership system should act as a civil society to participate consistently and supervise the policies of the Bukik Batabuah Nagari government, with good synergy and coordination between all related elements.

Abstract. Community participation is very important in realizing sustainable village development, so that development planning can be felt by every level of society. Currently, the development carried out in Katapang Indah Village has not been fully participatory. This can be seen from the contribution of community participation in the development planning process, where the development being implemented has not responded to community needs. Given the importance of community participation in the development planning process, it is necessary to conduct a study on efforts to increase community participation in Katapang Indah Village, in order to realize sustainable development. The purpose of this study is to identify the form and level of community participation in the development planning process. By using the descriptive analysis method, the results show that community participation in Katapang Indah Village is included in the induced participation group with the form of vertical participation, where the community only follows policies that have been formulated by village leaders or traditional leaders. This is due to the lack of knowledge from the community about the importance of participating in the activities of the village development process. Efforts were made to (1) provide outreach to the public about the mechanism for community participation in the planning process; (2) increasing the intensity of socialization and counseling regarding development planning to the community; (3) increasing the role of traditional and community leaders in formulating decisions by taking into account the characteristics and needs of village communities. Keywords: community participation, development planning process, sustainable village developmentAbstrak. Indonesian Constitution No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages stipulates that a village refers to official village and traditional villages, but hereinafter referred to as village. This implies that there is a village government organizer. If this provision is applied in Bali, however, it will trigger an indication of the blurring of norms since in Bali there are two types of villages, namely Desa Pakraman (customary village) and official village, and the same is true in Desa Pererenan. The official village carries out the function of administering government administration and the Desa Pakraman (customary village) carries out the function of administering customary and religious affairs. The dualism of governance in villages in Bali, including in Pererenan Village, in the implementation of village development, can cause problems, because each village has autonomous rights in carrying out government functions. Therefore, this study highlights two things, namely how the development is planned in Desa Pererenan and the functional relationship between the Desa Pakraman and the official village in the implementation of development. The method used to examine these two issues is the normative research method, which involves qualitatively analyzed documents, both official and in the form of notes, laws and regulations and related government regulations. The research conclusions are drawn deductively. Based on the results of data analysis, it can is revealed that the development planning process (physical and non-physical) in Desa Pererenan refers to the Badung Regency development planning pattern, such as the National Plan of Development Plan (PPNSB), which adopts the philosophy of life and local wisdom of the Balinese people. Village development planning involves the Village Consultative Body (BPD) and the community in a participatory manner, is compiled in a periodic manner, and includes the Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJM) for a period of 6 (six) years and the Village Government Work Plan (RKP) for a period of 1 ( one year). The relationship between the desa pakraman and the official village in Pererenan Village is functional, namely consultative and coordinative, which is the working relationship between the prajuru desa pakraman (head of desa pakraman) and the official or perbekel village head. The duties and authorities of the two villages have differences but are still interrelated with one another.

This study aims to describe the planning process of village development in the digital era, focusing on the dynamics of stakeholder roles and interests. From descriptive qualitative research methods, village development planning in the digital era flows under the Ministry of Home Affairs Regulation No. 114/2014 and Law No. 6 of 2014. Furthermore, the dynamics of the planning process are more flexible with the role of media and technology sophistication. In the digital era, the village development planning process, especially in Kotaagung Sub-district villages, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung, is swift, which cuts bureaucracy and stagnated planning stages. Moreover, invitations to the village deliberations are conveyed in writing, a process that only fulfills administrative matters for archiving. Massive invitations are delivered through the devices of stakeholders deemed essential to be presented to determine development priorities. The dynamics of stakeholder and media are seen from the movement and correlation of roles, interests, and influences. That shows stakeholders are the main subject in village development planning in today's digital era. Therefore, the Village needs to respond to the changing times by planning and implementing the system with digitization in a systematic and applicable manner. Megaproject citizenship behavior (MCB) has been confirmed to a play vital role on megaproject performance. Although current research has argued that institution elements have had an impact on MCB diffusion, limited studies have empirically investigated the distinct effectiveness of various institution elements on driving MCB’s widespread diffusion in construction megaprojects. Based on institution theory, this study proposes a theoretical model comprising institutional elements (i.e., normative and mimetic isomorphism), owner’s support, relationship-based trust, and their effect or impact on MCB’s diffusion. Based on 171 industrial questionnaires collected from managers of contractors and designers in megaprojects. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to validate the established model. The results indicated that both normative and mimetic isomorphism have positive effects on facilitating MCB diffusion, and owner’s support has shown partial mediation in promoting MCB diffusion through normative isomorphism, as well as full mediation in the promoting of MCB diffusion through mimetic isomorphism. Meanwhile, relationship-based trust exerts a positive moderating effect on the relationship between mimetic isomorphism and MCB. This study extends current literature on driving MCB diffusion from the perspective of institutional theory, contributing by providing four implications for megaprojects managers to “buy in” more extensive MCB.

Despite the vital role that trailing partners play for successful expatriation, we still know very little about what actually causes partners to thrive and integrate effectively into the new cultural context. However, as indications have emerged that the personality of partners could be key to a favorable acculturation trajectory, we set out to explore this further. More specifically, we assess the role of expatriate partners’ dispositional affectivity, that is, positive and negative affectivity. We examine this in relation to internal acculturation (in the form of interaction and general adjustment) and external acculturation (in the form of local community embeddedness and intentions to stay or to return home). Drawing on the data of 123 trailing partners, full support was found for three out of four hypotheses regarding the effects of positive affectivity. Further, a marginally significant negative association was identified for the relationship between positive affectivity and repatriation intentions. For negative affectivity, two hypotheses were met. Interestingly, no significant influence of negative affectivity on community embeddedness was found. The association between negative affectivity and interaction adjustment was marginally significant indicating some tentative support. In sum, this study corroborates that dispositional affectivity is an overall important concept to explain trailing partners’ acculturation. However, the role of positive and negative affectivity seems to vary along the different proxies of internal and external acculturation.

The article investigates the link between food festivals and traditional food knowledge and explores the role played by tourist events in disseminating local agricultural and gastronomic knowledge. This article presents the ethnographic case of the Pink Asparagus Festival in Mezzago in Italy, analyzing how the festival supported the continuation of crop production and its associated traditional knowledge in the village. In the face of a decline of asparagus production, the article highlights the role of the festival in fostering a revival of local food knowledge, which is also able to embrace modernization, at the same time maintaining a strong sense of the past and Mezzago's legacy. Thus, the article suggests that festivals are not just events aimed at commodifying local knowledge, but can be important tools to refresh and maintain local expertise, which is vital and pressing in the context of modern society, and strengthen and expand the relationship between members of the community, thus converting the festival into an endeavor to foster sociocultural sustainability.

Background: The positive association between adverse life events and somatoform disorders is a consistent observation. But no systematic studies have evaluated the relationship between health-related life events (HLEs) in patients with somatic symptom disorder (SSD)/somatoform disorders. Aim: To examine the nature and relationship of HLE in patients with SSD and to assess the correlates of HLE. Methods: A total of 50 adult patients with SSD and 50 matched healthy controls from a Neuropsychiatric hospital were recruited. Sociodemographic interview, scale for assessment of somatic symptoms (SASS), Patient Health Questionnaire-15 (PHQ-15) and a semi-structured interview schedule to gather information on HLE were used. Results: Patients in the SSD group had a significantly higher number of total HLE in general (4.72 ± 2.63, 3.36 ± 1.92; p = .004), major HLE (1.48 ± 1.45, 0.68 ± 0.94; p = .006), during their lifetime in comparison to controls. Infections, trauma, non-communicable diseases and reproductive system–related diseases were the more common types of HLE in SSD group. Conclusion: Our findings may implicate a role of major HLE of patients and HLE of their family members in the pathophysiology of SSD.
