LEARNING EFFECTIVENESS IMPROVEMENT THROUGH ACADEMIC SUPERVISION AND WORK DISCIPLINE STRENGTHENINGThe purpose of this study was to empirically determine  the enhance of teaching effectiveness. Research respondents were permanent teachers of private high schools in Bogor City. The number of samples were 131 teachers who were established by using proportional random sampling technique. The method used was the correlational method. Hypothesis testing was carried out by using parametric statistical analysis in the form of linear regression analysis, correlation analysis, and partial analysis where a significance level of α = 0.01 and α = 0.05. The research came up with three conclusions. Firstly, there was a very significant positive relationship between academic supervision and the teaching effectiveness where the correlation coefficient of ry1 = 0.824. Secondly, there was a very significant positive relationship between work discipline and the teaching effectiveness, where the correlation coefficient of ry2 = 0.66. Thirdly, there was a very significant positive relationship between academic supervision and work discipline together with the teaching effectiveness, where the correlation coefficient of ry.12 = 0.84. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the teaching effectiveness can be enhanced by strengthening academic supervision and work discipline. Results of the SITOREM analysis indicated that several priority indicators need to be improved, such as; assessment of work results, problems solving assistance, self-control during working, teachers’ willingness to carry out obligations, sucessfullness in conducting learning activity, and successfulness in managing learning activity. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the teaching effectiveness can be enhanced by strengthening academic supervision and work discipline.

Learning activity was a student’s activeness in learning process to achieve outcome and aim of learning which had been determined. This research aimed to describe the degree of student’s learning activity, its outcome and the correlation between them. Collecting data used purposive sampling technique which used 36 students of class XB as a sample. The data of student’s learning activity was analyzed by using observation checklist. The observation result showed that the mean of student’s learning activity was 51,76 % with the category of active enough. The result of second term examination 2016/2017 showed that the mean of student’s score was 40,42 as less good category. The correlation between students’ learning activity and its outcome was analyzed by the correlation of product moment formula. The result of analyzing data showed that there was positive correlation between students’ learning activity and outcome in chemistry X class at SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak with correlation coefficient 0,67 as high category. The contribution of students’ learning activity and outcome was obtained coefficient of determination (r2) equal to 0,451. Thus, it could be concluded that there was a influence and positive relationship with the strong category between student learning activities and learning outcomes in chemistry class X at SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak.Keywords : Students’ learning activity, Students’ learning outcome, Chemistry

This study aims to determine the relationship of social interaction and self-esteem with group cohesiveness of SSB students in Kudus. The subjects of this study were 80 students of SSB in Kudus. The sampling technique in this study used a quota sampling technique. The measuring tools used to obtain the data are the social interaction scale, self-esteem scale, and group cohesiveness scale. The results of data analysis using Regression Analysis where the calculation uses the SPSS 15.0 program. The results of the correlation coefficient rx1,2y  of 0.836 with p of 0.000 (p<0.01) mean that there is a very significant relationship between social interaction and self-esteem with group cohesiveness. The result of the correlation coefficient between social interaction variables and group cohesiveness rx1y is 0.836 with p of 0.000 (p <0.01) this means that there is a very significant positive relationship between social interaction and group cohesiveness. While the correlation coefficient between the variable self-esteem and group cohesiveness rx2y is 0.708 with p of 0.000 (p <0.01) this means that there is a very significant positive relationship between self-esteem and group cohesiveness. The effective contribution of the independent variable to the dependent variable is 69.9%.

Generally, the aim of this research is to analyze how teachers’ commitment to the profession in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Jakarta Selatan can be improved through organizational culture and work satisfaction. Hence, this research specifically aims to find out, comprehend, and analyze empirically upon 1) the relation between organizational culture and teachers’ commitment to the profession, 2) the relation between work satisfaction and teachers’ commitment to the profession, and 3) the relation between organizational culture and work satisfaction with teachers’ commitment to the profession.This research is conducted as a quantitative study. The population of this research is the teachers of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Jakarta Selatan as many as 315 in which 177 of them are taken as the samples. The number of the sample was determined by using proporsional random sampling technique with the Slovin formula at a 5% margin of error.The results of the research show: 1) there is a significant positive relationship between Organizational Culture and Teachers’ Commitment to the Profession, which is indicated by correlation coefficient value ry1 = 0,611 and determinant coefficient value ry12= 0,373; 2) there is a significant positive relationship between Work Satisfaction and Teachers’ Commitment to the Profession, which is indicated by correlation coefficient value ry2 = 0,665., and determinant coefficient value ry22= 0,442; and 3) there is a significant positive relationship between Organizational Culture and Work Satisfaction with Teachers’ Commitment to the Profession, which is indicated by correlation coefficient value ry12 = 0.677., and determinant coefficient value ry122= 0,458.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the interest and motivation of choosing senior high schools. Subjects in this study were students in 1 Krayan East Kalimantan, with the purposive sampling technique. The method of analysis used in this study is Product Moment .Motivation variable data analysis choosing a school with a variable interest in showing the value of r =0.475 with a significance level of p =0.000. There is a significant positive relationship between interest and motivation in students choosing school SMP Negeri 1 Krayan. The determinant coefficient of 0.225, meaning interest variable contribute effectively in motivating choose schools as 22.5 %, while the remaining 77.5 % is influenced by other factors such as the intrinsic factor consisting of passion and desire to succeed, hopes and ideals of extrinsic factors that consists of awards in learning, conducive learning environment and engaging learning activities .Keywords: Interests, Motivation Choosing Schools.

This study aims to determine the effect of the size of the company, size of the board of commissioners and industrial sensitivity to the disclosure of corporate social responsibility partially and simultaneously. The data of this study were taken from 87 observations. The number of samples used in this study was 29 LQ-45 companies listed on the IDX in 2014-2016. The samples were taken by using purposive sampling technique. The method of data analysis used in this study was multiple linear regression analysis. The result of the research showed that size of company significantly influenced the disclosure of corporate social responsibility with significance level by 0,021, while size of board of commissioners did not significantly influence the disclosure of corporate social responsibility with the value of significance by 0,621, but industry sensitivity has significant influence to corporate social responsibility disclosure with a significant value of 0,010. The simultaneous test showed that firm size, board size and industry sensitivity simultaneously and significantly influenced the disclosure of corporate social responsibility significantly by 0,004. The GMS members who have the authority to propose, appoint and dismiss the board of commissioners should consider the candidates of the board of commissioners to be proposed, and the further research should expand the object of research and develop other factors that can affect the disclosure of corporate social responsibility such as foreign ownership, growth company, good corporate governance (GCG) practices and several other factors.

This study aims to investigate the influence of servant leadership on job satisfaction with individual character as a moderating variable. It used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The population of this study were employees of the Central Sulawesi province industry and trade office. It involved 72 samples selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that servant leadership significantly influence job satisfaction with a value of 82.5%. The most significant factor affecting job satisfaction is wisdom (correlation coefficient = 0.863) in which the higher the wisdom, the higher the job satisfaction. The next factor is persuasive mapping in which the higher the persuasive mapping, the higher the job satisfaction (correlation coefficient = 0.697). Then, it was followed by altruistic calling with the correlation coefficient value of 0.524 in which the higher the altruistic calling, the higher the job satisfaction. The last is emotional healing with a correlation coefficient value of 0.291 in which the higher the emotional healing, the higher the job satisfaction. On the other hand, organizational stewardship is the only factor does not influence the job satisfaction (correlation coefficient = 0.009).

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy with anxiety facing matches in athletes at the Apac Inti soccer school. Anxiety will arise when faced with something new such as facing a match. Athletes who master physical, technical, and good tactics, but if an athlete's mind is disturbed by excessive negative things, it can interfere with concentration and not optimal in the competition, causing athletes to feel anxious. The population in this study were 40 male students of Apac Inti aged 15-18 years. This research uses a quantitative correlational method with saturated sampling technique. Based on the research results obtained correlation coefficient (r) = -0.547; p <0.05 and it can be concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy with anxiety facing the match in athletes at Apac Inti soccer school.

The aim of the study was to find the role of socio-demographic factors of teachers' discipline styles and classroom management approaches. The study was designed in relational survey method. The universe of the study was composed of teachers serving in high schools in Zeytinburnu district. Using convenience sampling method, 317 teachers accepted to participate in the study.To collect data, a demographic information form, the Teacher Discipline Styles Inventory and the Classroom Management Approaches Scale were used. The data were analyzed via the SPSS 21.0 program. T-test and ANOVA were used for the groups with normal distribution. In addition, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation analysis was performed to determine the relationship between the variables and the scale. Significance level was taken as p <.05.As a result of the study, it was found that the teachers used conciliatory style at the highest rate, followed by supportive style, and they used abdicative style at the lowest rate. In addition, it was found that the teachers adopted democratic approach at the highest rate in classroom management, followed by laissez-faire and autocratic approaches. Also, there was a significant positive relationship between supportive style and abdicative, conciliatory, coercive, negotiator styles. However, there was no significant relationship between supportive style and autocratic and laissez-faire classroom management approaches. Finally, a significant positive relationship was found between supportive style and democratic approach.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1)mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar kimia siswa. (2) mengetahui dan menjelaskan besarnya koefisien korelasi antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar kimia siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA di SMA Negeri 2 Negara tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 72 orang dengan menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner motivasi belajar yang terdiri dari 20 pernyataan positif dan 15 pernyataan negatif dan data hasil belajar siswamenggunakan nilai UAS siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa(1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran kimia dengan hasil belajar kimia siswa. (2) Besarnya koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 0,391, yang berarti r hitung yang diperoleh lebih besar dibandingkan dengan r tabel yang telah ditentukan pada taraf signifikansi 5% yaitu 0,229, sehingga Hipotesis Nol (H0) dalam penelitian ini dapat ditolak.Berdasarkan hasil pemaparan diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar pada mata pelajaran kimia dengan hasil belajar kimia siswa. Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar, Motivasi Belajar, Pelajaran Kimia AbstractThis study aims to: (1) describe and explain the relationship between learning motivation and student chemistry learning outcomes. (2) knowing and explaining the magnitude of the correlation coefficient between learning motivation and student chemistry learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population of this study was all students of class XI MIPA in SMA Negeri 2 Negara the academic year 2017/2018 and the study sample amounted to 72 people using the cluster sampling technique. The data were collected using the research instrument in the form of a learning motivation questionnaire consisting of 20 positive statements and 15 negative statements and student learning outcomes data using the student UAS value. The results showed that (1) there was a positive and significant relationship between students' learning motivation in chemistry learning and student chemistry learning outcomes. (2) The magnitude of the correlation coefficient obtained is equal to 0.391, which means that the calculated r is greater than the r table that has been determined at the 5% significance level of 0.229, so the Zero Hypothesis (H0) in this study can be rejected. The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze the effect of supervison, communication and organizational commitment for employee performance on PDAM Tirtanadi branch Padang Bulan North Sumatera. The data collection was carried out through questionnaires conducted on 43 employees on PDAM Tirtanadi branch Padang Bulan North Sumatera. Data analysis in this study uses SPSS version 22. The sampling technique used is the saturation sampling method and data testing technique used in this study includes the validity test and reliability test. Multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing is also conducted to test and to prove the hypothesis in research. Partial tes results (t test) showed t count (1,721) > t table (1,682) and the significance level was 0,043 < 0,05 proved that supervision had a positive and significant effect on work performance, t count (5,578) > t table (1,682) and the level of significance was 0,000 < 0,05 proved that communication had a positive significant effect on work performance, t count (2,610) > t table (1,682)and the level of significance was 0,013 < 0,05 proved that organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on achievement work.
