We have presented an inquiry method in which citizens talk about their relationships to their built surrounding, raising problems, strengths, changes and dreams. It allows citizens to understand and describe their urban experiences and makes it easier for architects to recognize frameworks and rules inside the context in which they are asked to intervene.

This study aimed to describe effecitivity of the learning outcome IPA using inquiry method. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). Research procedures conducted through four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach. Subjects were teachers and students of fourth class in elementary school 08 Padang City. Data was obtained from the results of observations and test results of learning. The research was conducted by two cycles and each cycle consisting of two meetings. The results of the research that has been conducted every cycle seen an increasein the average value of student learning outcomes are: (a) the cognitive aspects of 75 to 93, (b) the affective aspects of 74 to 95, and (c) psychomotor aspects from 76 to 94. It can be concluded that the CAR using the inquiry method can improve learning outcomes of science fourth grade students of fourth class in the state elementary school 08 Padang City.Key words: Learning competency; science learning; inquiry method

In an education, learning is supported by various methods, media, and learning models to improve the quality of learning. In this article, the author only focuses on one example of the method used to assist the teaching and learning process. The method is a way whose function is as a tool to achieve a goal. The better the method, the more effective the attainment of the goal. This writing aims to describe the inquiry method regarding the strengths and weaknesses in the process of learning folk poetry and the reconstruction of the inquiry method in the process of learning folk poetry. This writing is a non-research scientific article, where only the author's ideas are expressed. Compiled from several theories such as learning folk poetry, learning methods, learning methods in the 2013 curriculum, and related to inquiry learning methods. The results of this paper are found the weaknesses and strengths of the inquiry method in learning poetry and the weaknesses are reconstructed to make it better or more effective.

Urban social sustainability represents a more specific part of urban development. Citizen involvement is a vital element of any future urban social development and helps to maintain the vision of human and diverse cities because it provides vibrant and sustainable cities in which everyone has a seat and can speak. Gellerupparken, as something new, also meets all five criteria for when an area is a ghetto during a given year. The criteria generally consist of income, ethnic origin, level of education, crime, and employment. The study’s aim is to present an objective means, to the reactivation of a passive multicultural zone in Aarhus city of Denmark to integrate it in the social life city by using the appreciative inquiry method by an introduction of new city functions. The study will assume the effect of sustainability in an urban social area, in a case study using the application of the pedagogical method, namely, the “appreciative inquiry” method.

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Untuk mengimplementasikan Pengembangan E-modul Pada Mata Pelajaran Pemrograman Desktop Kelas XI Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan. (2) Untuk mengetahui respon siswa dan guru terhadap Pengembangan E-modul Pada Mata Pelajaran Pemrograman Desktop Kelas XI dengan Model Project Based Learning di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah research and development (R&D), dengan model pengembangan Dick & Carey. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dan guru mata pelajaran Pemrograman Desktop di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Untuk mengetahui respon siswa dan guru terhadap e-modul diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Hasil implementasi e-modul yang telah dikembangkan pada mata pelajaran pemrograman desktop untuk siswa kelas XI Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning di SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan dinyatakan berhasil diterapkan berdasarkan beberapa uji yang dilakukan. 2) Hasil analisis data respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa persentase siswa yang memberikan respon sangat baik sebesar 36.84%, persentase siswa yang memberikan respon baik sebesar 63.16%, dan tidak ada siswa yang memberikan respon cukup, kurang, maupun sangat kurang dan mendapatkan presentase tingkat pencapaian e-modul sebesar 87.58%. Sedangkan hasil analisis data respon guru menunjukkan bahwa persentase guru yang memberikan respon sangat baik sebesar 94%. (2) To know students’ and teachers’ response towards the development of E-module for Desktop Progamming learning lesson of grade XI with Project Based Learning Model in SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan. Research methodology that is used for this research was Research and Development (R&D), with Dick & Carey development model. The subject of this research was the third grade students, engineer software and Desktop Progamming teachers of SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan in Academic Year 2016/2017. To know students’ and teachers’ response towards the E-module was gained by using inquiry method. The result of this study showed that: (1) Implementation result of E-module which was developed for Desktop Progamming learning lesson of grade XI engineer software by using Project Based Learning Model in SMK Negeri 2 Tabanan has proven effective to be applied through some tests. (2) The data analysis result of students’ response showed that the percentage of students’ who give excellent response was 36.84%, students who gave good response were 63.16%, and there were no students who gave fair response, inadequate or inacceptable response and get a percentage of the level of achievement of the e-module were 87.58%. While the data analysis result of teachers’ response showed that the percentage of teaches who gave excellent response was 94%.keyword : E-Module, Desktop Progamming, project based learning, Research and Development

This study aims to develop learning for Islamic education subjects based on reasoning and problem solving. The inquiry method is reasoning-based learning and problem solving that should be actualized in order to develop Islamic education learning, because Islamic education is in a strategic position in the formation of a complete human being to develop reason, knowledge, intelligence, skills, noble character, and personality. Based on the challenges of the times, Islamic Religion teachers are expected to have new innovations related to their learning. Meanwhile, in the community itself, there are many criticisms aimed at the implementation of Islamic religious learning, because it tends to memorize, and lacks reasoning. In fact, many studies show that, Islamic education are just secondary subjects that are not important. In the end, this study found that the inquiry method stimulates students to think, analyze a problem, and find a solution. Inquiry learning emphasizes the development of cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects in a balanced manner which can provide space for students to learn according to their style. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan pembelajaran bagi mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam berbasis penalaran dan pemecahan masalah. Metode inquiry adalah pembelajaran berbasis penalaran dan pemecahan masalah yang seharusnya diaktualisasikan dalam rangka mengembangkan pembelajaran Pendidkan Agama Islam. Pasalnya, Pendidikan Agama Islam berada di tempat strategis dalam pembentukan manusia secara utuh untuk mengembangkan akal, pengetahuan, kecerdasan, keterampilan, akhlak mulia, dan kepribadian. Di tengah tantangan zaman, guru Agama Islam diharapkan memiliki inovasi-inovasi baru terkait dengan pembelajaran. Sementara itu, di tengah masyarakat sendiri masih banyak kritik-kritik yang ditujukan pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran agama Islam, karena cenderung pada hafalan, dan kurang penalaran. Bahkan, banyak penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, mata pelajaran pendidikan Agama Islam hanyalah mata pelajaran sampingan yang tidak penting. Pada akhirnya, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa, metode inquiry merangsang murid untuk berpikir, menganalisa suatu persoalan, hingga menemukan pemecahannya. Inquiry learning menekankan kepada pengembangan aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor secara seimbang yang dapat memberi ruang kepada siswa untuk belajar sesuai gaya mereka.

The activeness of students in learning is of course very necessary because by activating their five senses, they will learn more meaningfully. One of the teaching methods that can activate students' five senses is the inquiry method. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in science learning outcomes at MIS Gampong Mutia. The design of this study used a control group posttest design. The instrument used is a test of learning outcomes for the material structure and function of plant parts. The results showed that there was an increase in science learning outcomes in classes that applied the inquiry method. So it can be said that this guided inquiry method is appropriate for use on the material structure and function of plant parts

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills (CTS) in disadvantaged, outermost and foremost areas, namely in Indonesia's border elementary schools which are full of limited educational facilities. This research was conducted on science subjects in grade VI SDN 29 IDAI on the balance of ecosystems. The method used for the research is the experimental method, which is Quasi Experiment because conditions do not allow for the control class to be held. The research design is one group pretest posttest design, where before the treatment is given, the sample is first given a pretest (initial test) and at the end of the learning sample is given a posttest (final test). CTS aspects developed in this study include identifying criteria for possible answers, mentioning examples, giving reasons, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis in the form of the results of the pre-test and post-test, there was an increase in students' average critical thinking skills, starting from 32% (less) in the pre-test to 75% (good) in the post-test. The application of discovery-inquiry method with work sheet illustrated media is also able to increase student learning outcomes to an average value of 72.38 with a graduation rate. The minimum criteria for completeness in classical is 84.62%.

This research is motivated by the low writing ability of students, especially in writing poster sentences. In fact, at present, there are still many students at MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka who have not been able to write poster sentences correctly. In addition to the formulation of the problem, this study also has a purpose. The objectives of this study are as follows. 1) Obtain data about the ability of class VIII students of MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka in writing poster sentences before learning using the inquiry method. 2) Obtain data about the ability of class VIII students of MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka in writing poster sentences after learning using the inquiry method. 3) Obtaining data about the effectiveness of using the inquiry method in learning to write poster sentences for class VIII students of MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka. The method used in this research is a descriptive method, while the techniques used are data collection techniques and data processing and analysis techniques. The population of the study was 5-grade students of MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka with a total population of 200 students. The sample in this study was 1 class, namely class VIII B with 35 students. The results of data processing and analysis showed the answer to the problem formulation, namely the results of the pretest students' ability in learning to write poster sentences was still low, only reaching 67.29%, but post-test results increased to 84.57%. With the level of effectiveness of using the inquiry method in learning to write poster sentences, it has a correlation of 0.464%, including the moderate categoryPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan menulis pada siswa, khususnya dalam penulisan kalimat poster. Kenyataannya pada saat ini masih banyak siswa MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka yang belum mampu menulis kalimat poster secara benar.Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. 1) Mendapatkan data mengenai kemampuan siswa kelas VIII MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka dalam menulis kalimat poster sebelum pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri. 2) Mendapatkan data mengenai kemampuan siswa kelas VIII MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka dalam menulis kalimat poster setelah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri. 3) Mendapatkan data mengenai efektivitas penggunaan metode inkuiri dalam pembelajaran menulis kalimat poster siswa kelas VIII MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif sedangkan teknik yang digunakan yaitu teknik pengumpulan data serta teknik pengolahan dan analisis data. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Daarul Uluum PUI Majalengka sebanyak 5 kelas dengan jumlah populasi 200 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 1 kelas yaitu kelas VIII B dengan jumlah siswa 35 orang. Hasil dari pengolahan dan analisis data menunjukkan jawaban terhadap rumusan masalah yaitu hasil pretes kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis kalimat poster masih rendah hanya mencapai 67,29%, tetapi hasil postes terdapat peningkatan menjadi 84,57%. Dengan tingkat efektivitas penggunaan metode inkuiri dalam pembelajaran menulis kalimat poster memiliki korelasi 0,464% termasuk kategori sedang.
