Failure of the uterus to contract after childbearing is one in all the causes of maternal death. Numerous makes an attempts were created to enhanced the power of the uterus to contract. The aim of the study was to compare the effectiveness of postpartum exercise with early mobilization of uterine involution in normal postpartum. This type of research was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest and posttest design group. This research was implemented in midwives practicing independently. The population of this study was all normal postpartum. The sample of the study was 34 normal postpartum, aged 20-35 years, 2-4 parity, baby born healthy, postpartum haemoglobin ≥ 10.5 gr%, exclusively breastfeeding. Early mobilization was carried out after two hours postpartum and postpartum exercise was carried out for six days. Measurement of the postpartum fundal height was performed on days 1st, 3rd and 7th using a caliper pelvimeter. Consecutive sampling was used in this study. The difference between the two groups was analyzed by unpaired t-test and Mann Whitney U-test. There was a difference in the height of the uterine fundus on the third and seventh postpartum days between the two groups. Postpartum exercise was more effective than early mobilization in accelerating uterine involution. Therefore, it is expected that midwives can facilitate mothers to do postpartum exercise from the first day of postpartum. Diantara faktor yang berperan dalam kontraksi uterus adalah mobilisasi dini dan senam nifas. Jenis penelitian adalah desain kuasi eksperimental dengan kelompok pre dan posttest. Responden penelitian adalah 34 orang ibu postpartum, usia 20-35 tahun di Bidan Praktek Mandiri Kota Pematangsiantar, Juni-September 2016. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah consecutive sampling sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Dilakukan senam nifas pada kelompok intervensi dan mobilisasi dini pada kelompok kontrol. Pengukuran tinggi fundus uteri dilakukan sebelum dan setelah perlakuan pada hari ke-1, -3 dan -7. Analisa data menggunakan uji t-tak berpasanagn dan Mann Whitney menggunakan SPSS versi 20.0. Terdapat perbedaan tinggi fundus uteri hari ke-3 dan ke-7 antara senam nifas dan mobilisasi dini. Senam nifas lebih efektif menurunkan tinggi fundus uteri dibandingkan mobilisasi dini. Abstract Grades provide students with information about their level of performance. However, grades may also make students more aware of how well they have estimated their performance, their so-called calibration accuracy. This longitudinal quasi-experimental study, set in secondary education, examined how to increase students’ awareness of the accuracy of their grade estimates in order to improve their calibration accuracy. During an entire school year, students from year 1, 2, and 3 provided grade estimates after each of their French exams. Subsequently, when students received their grades, the level of reflection support on their earlier estimates was manipulated. The first group of students just received their grade, the second group had to calculate the difference between their estimate and the actual grade, and the third group also had to reflect on reasons for a possible mismatch. We expected that more reflection support would lead to more improvement in calibration accuracy. Results showed that providing grade estimates already improved calibration accuracy over the school year, regardless of level of reflection support. This finding shows that asking for grade estimates is an easy-to-implement way to improve calibration accuracy of students in secondary education.

One of the tasks of the development of children aged 11-15 years is to think in a more abstract and logical way and more idealistic thinking. This ability to think will be disrupted if teenagers have difficulty concentrating during learning. Therefore we need a method that is fun and can make children relax in learning so that they can concentrate their concentration on ongoing learning. One method that can be used is the Murrotal Al-Qur'an therapy. The aim of the study was to determine whether there was any effect of murottal therapy on the concentration of students at Muara Enim 2 MTsN. This study used a quasi-experimental design with the design of the one group pretest posttest. The sample used was all students of class VIII.G at MTsN 2 Muara Enim. The results showed that the average concentration score of class VIII.G students before Murottal therapy was given was 10.84 with a standard deviation of 3.043. While the average concentration score of class VIII.G students after being given murottal therapy was 17.90 with a standard deviation of 1.233, so that the difference in mean concentration scores before and after murottal therapy was 7.06 with a standard deviation of 1.81. Wilcoxon signed ranks test obtained ρ value = 0,000, with a value of α = 0.05 (p <0.05), this shows that there is a significant difference between the concentration of students before and after being given murottal therapy. It is expected that the school can make a policy about the application of murottal therapy in increasing student concentration.

This study is aimed at investigating the effect of process approach using Report Writing Frame on students’ writing achievement. The design of this study was quasi-experimental design. The subjects of this study were the third-semester students of Academic Writing class of English Education Department of Brawijaya University of Malang. The result of t-test showed that the students who were taught using Report Writing Frame have better writing achievement than those who were taught without using Report Writing Frame. Besides, from the five categories or aspects which were scored; organization, content, grammar, vocabulary, and mechanic, it indicated that the students who were taught using Report Writing Frame had more significant improvement in term organization, content, and vocabulary.

The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of a teaching materials based on local wisdom in jigsaw learning model to skill of writing description. The method used in this study is a quasi experimental design with two groups: the experimental class and control class. The results showed differences in the skills of writing description between the two classes. In the control class tend to not experience a significant increase, while the experimental class increased. The average value of the current skill of writing description in control class pretest to post-test by 61.25 to 71.40, increased 15.57% with average value of n-gain 0.274 in low category. Meanwhile, the average value in experimental class pretest to post-test by 61.22 to 83.31, increased 36.08% with average value of n-gain 0.570 in medium category. The difference of gain indicates that a teaching materials based on local wisdom in jigsaw learning model effectively used to improve the skills of writing description.   Abstrak Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal dalam model pembelajaran teknik jigsaw terhadap keterampilan menulis deskripsi. Metode penelitian menggunakan eksperimen kuasi dengan desain dua kelompok yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada kelas kontrol cenderung tidak mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen terjadi peningkatan. Nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis deskripsi kelas kontrol pada prates 61.25 pascates 71.40 peningkatan sebesar 16.57% dengan rata-rata n-gain 0.274 termasuk kategori rendah. Sementara itu, nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis deskripsi kelas eksperimen saat prates 61,22 pada pascates menjadi 83,31 peningkatan sebesar 36.08% dengan rata-rata n-gain 0.570 termasuk kategori sedang. Perbedaan peningkatan tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal dalam model pembelajaran teknik jigsaw efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis deskripsi. ABSTRACTBackground: Patients receiving intermittent hemodialysis (IHD) are at high risk of acquiring gram-positive infections, which are often treated with IV vancomycin. Despite frequent use of vancomycin in the IHD setting, there is variability in dosing and monitoring practices among clinicians at the study institution. There is also a paucity of evidence regarding optimal vancomycin dosing to achieve target pre-IHD serum concentration. Objectives: The primary objective was to compare the percentage of treatment courses with a serum vancomycin concentration between 15 and 20 mg/L, measured before the third IHD session, before and after implementation of a weight threshold–based dosing protocol. The secondary objectives were to compare the percentage of treatment courses with a pre–third IHD vancomycin concentration between 10 and 22 mg/L and the number of vancomycin measurements per treatment day, before and after protocol implementation. Methods: This quasi-experimental, single-centre study included inpatients and outpatients who underwent IHD and received at least 2 IV doses of vancomycin, with vancomycin being measured in an appropriately drawn sample before the third IHD session. Before protocol implementation, vancomycin dosing was at the clinician’s discretion (usual care). After protocol implementation, each patient received a loading dose of 1000, 1500, or 2000 mg and a maintenance dose of 500, 750, or 1000 mg, depending on body weight.Results: The percentage of treatment courses with a pre–third IHD vancomycin concentration between 15 and 20 mg/L was greater after implementation of the protocol than with usual care, but the difference was nonsignificant (44% [8/18] versus 20% [3/15], p = 0.27). However, the percentage of treatment courses with a pre–third IHD vancomycin concentration between 10 and 22 mg/L was significantly higher after protocol implementation (94% [17/18] versus 53% [8/15], p = 0.012). There was no difference in the median number of vancomycin measurements per treatment day before and after protocol implementa-tion (0.133 versus 0.125, p = 0.99). Conclusions: At the study institution, the likelihood of achieving recommended vancomycin concentration increased (relative to previous practice) after implementation of a simplified vancomycin dosing protocol for patients undergoing IHD.RÉSUMÉContexte : Les patients recevant une hémodialyse intermittente (HDI) présentent un risque élevé de contracter des infections à Gram positif, souvent traitées à l’aide de vancomycine par intraveineuse (IV). Malgré l’utilisation fréquente de la vancomycine dans les environnements d’HDI, les pratiques portant sur le dosage et le suivi varient entre les cliniciens de l’institution où l’étude s’est déroulée. Il existe également peu de données probantes sur la dose optimale de vancomycine permettant d’atteindre la concentration sérique cible avant l’HDI. Objectifs : L’objectif principal visait à comparer le pourcentage de traitements à la vancomycine, dont la concentration sérique se situait entre 15 et 20 mg/L, lors de la mesure prise avant la troisième séance de HDI, avant et après la mise en place d’un protocole de dosage basé sur le poids. Les objectifs secondaires visaient à comparer le pourcentage de traitements, dont la concentration de vancomycine mesurée avant la troisième séance d’HDI était comprise entre 10 et 22 mg/L, et le nombre de mesures de vancomycine par jour de traitement, avant et après la mise en place du protocole. Méthodes : Cette étude quasi expérimentale, menée dans un seul centre, comprenait des patients hospitalisés et ambulatoires ayant subi une HDI et reçu au moins deux doses de vancomycine par IV et dont un échantillon prélevé de manière appropriée avant la troisième séance d’HDI a permis de mesurer la vancomycine. Avant la mise en place du protocole, le dosage de vancomycine était laissé à la discrétion du clinicien (soins habituels). Après sa mise en place, chaque patient recevait une dose de charge de 1000, 1500 ou 2000 mg et une dose de maintenance de 500, 750 ou 1000 mg selon sa masse corporelle.Résultats : Le pourcentage de traitements dont la concentration de vancomycine mesurée avant la troisième séance d’HDI était comprise entre 15 et 20 mg/L était plus élevé après la mise en place du protocole qu’après les soins habituels, mais la différence n’était pas significative (44 % [8/18] contre 20 % [3/15], p = 0,27). Cependant, le pourcentage de traitements dont la concentration de vancomycine mesurée avant la troisième séance d’HDI était comprise entre 10 et 22 mg/L était significativement plus élevé après la mise en place du protocole (94 %[17/18] contre 53 % [8/15], p = 0,012). This article examines the impact of excellence-promoting policies on the actual performance of municipalities in the Czech Republic. In this analysis, the performance of municipalities that have received awards for the use of quality management tools is compared with a selected group of municipalities that did not receive awards. Data envelopment analysis (DEA; with constant and variable returns on the scale), free disposal hull (FDH), and Order-M methods were utilized to represent performance. For the actual performance comparison, a quasi-experimental design was used. The analysis of outputs using the difference impact method found that this specific public policy did not have a positive impact on the efficiency of municipalities. If the difference-in-differences method is used, the opposite is achieved. However, the technical efficiency gains are very small. The use of the quasi-experimental design along with the determination of inputs and outputs which are characteristic of the Czech Republic also offers a contribution when this method is being applied to the assessment of institutions in the form of local governments.

This reseach aims to investigate the difference between umbilical cord treatment by using topical ASI and dry treatment towards the length of umbilical cord release in baby. This research used quasi experimental method with non-equivalent posttest design only. 44 samples of neonatal babies were taken by using consecutive sampling according to the inclusion criteria. The average length of umbilical cord release with topical ASI is 6.18 days and the one with dry treatment is 7.41 days. The length of umbilical cord release with topical ASI is 1.23 days faster compared to the one with dry treatment with p=0.010. The umbilical cord release with topical ASI is faster than the one with dry treatment and it can also reduce infection.

Family Centered Care merupakan hal terpenting dalam hospitalisasi anak yang didasarkan pada kolaborasi antara anak, orang tua, dokter anak, perawat anak, dan profesional lainnya dalam perawatan klinis yang berdasarkan perencanaan, pemberian dan evaluasi pelayanan Kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penerapan Metode Family Centered Care Terhadap Stress Hospitalisasi pada Anak di Ruang St Theresia RS Panti Nirmala Malang. Desain penelitian menggunakan Quasi Experimental Design dengan pendekatan Pretest-Postest Control Group, Teknik sampling yang digunakan consecutive sampling sebanyak 42 responden, yang terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu 21 responden kelompok kontrol dan 21 responden kelompok intervensi. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan ada perbedaan tingkat stress yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test pada kelompok perlakuan (p=0,000< 0,05), sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol ada perbedaan tingkat stress yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test (p = 0,028< 0,05). Berdasarkan uji Mann Whitney terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor tingkat stress post-test kelompok kontrol dengan skor tingkat stress post-test kelompok perlakuan (p=0,000< 0,05). Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penerapan Family Centered Care pada pasien anak sangat diperlukan, guna untuk menurunkan stress hospitalisasi pada anak dan diharapkan dapat diterapkan di Rumah Sakit maupun di pelayanan Kesehatan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan keluarga dan mutu pelayanan di Rumah Sakit.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of application of the model Problem Based Learning on the understanding of the concept of V grade students of SD Negeri Unggulan Kuningan on the subjects of Social Studies IPS concept of Nature and Artificial in Indonesia. This research is a type of Quasi Experimental Design, while the research design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study are all students of VA class which amounted to 25 students and VB which amounted to 27 students in Kuningan Elementary State Elementary School. The results showed that the model of Problem Based Learning influenced the students' concept of understanding. This can be seen from the significant differences between the two sample groups, the difference is the average value of pretest = 53.11 to 79.85 in the posttest of the experimental students' learning result. While the students' learning outcomes control group pretest average value = 49.6 to 59.4 on posttest. And based on t test results, showed that the value of t-count = 6.50 with 95% significance obtained t-tabel = 2.96. Then thitung (6.50) > t-table (2.96), meaning that the model of Problem Based Learning has a significant effect on understanding the concept of students Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, Understanding Student Concept Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V SD Negeri Unggulan Kuningan pada mata pelajaran IPS konsep Kenampakan Alam dan Buatan di Indonesia. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok sampel, perbedaannya yaitu nilai rata-rata pretest = 53,11 menjadi 79,85 pada posttest hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa kelompok kontrol nilai rata-rata pretest = 49,6 menjadi 59,4 pada posttest. Dan berdasarkan hasil uji t, menunjukan bahwa nilai t-hitung = 6,50 dengan signifikansi 95% diperoleh t-tabel = 2,96. Maka t-hitung (6,50) > t-tabel (2,96), artinya bahwa model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa.
