The main aim of this paper is to identify and specify factors that influence business analytics. A factor in this context refers to any significant characteristic that defines the environment in which business analytics and business in general are conducted. Factors and their understanding are essential for the quality of final business analytics solutions, given their complexity and interconnectedness. Factors play an extremely important role in analytic thinking and business analysts’ skills and knowledge. These factors determine effective approaches and procedures for business analytics, and, in some cases, they also aid in the decision to delay a business analytics solution given a situation. This paper has used the case study method, a qualitative research method, due to the need to carry out investigation within the actual business (company) environment, in order to be able to fully understand and verify factors affecting analytics from the viewpoint of all stakeholders. This study provides a set of 15 factors from business, company, and market environments, including their importance in business analytics.

This paper explores self-plagiarism in three different articles that reported results of the same research project on reading in a foreign language. This article follows the qualitative research method and an exploratory case study was used. Results support that both inadequate paraphrasing and adequate paraphrasing were given. Regarding inadequate paraphrasing some similar words and ideas were found. On the other hand, using different authors in a specific idea, having different numbers of words in a common issue, and being versatile to present information might lead to adequate paraphrasing. Conclusions suggest that a dialog between editors and authors must be given in order to clear self-plagiarism up. Finally, conclusions also suggest that editors should consider the inclusion of some similar information in articles written by the same author or the same research members

Abstract: The industry or restaurant business in Tomohon City has a very rapid growth. The purpose of this study was to analyze the benefits of competency assessment for waiters to ensure the quality of their services while working. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis model. The research was conducted at 10 restaurants in Tomohon City. The results showed that as a reflection or image of the restaurant, it was judged by the visiting guests, which was determined by the competence of the waiter who worked, including the expertise of the waiter in serving customers directly. This is very crucial in giving a good impression or image and giving satisfaction to customers because they feel comfortable. This of course cannot be separated from a competency or knowledge of the profession in providing a table during the service. The results also show the need for competent waiters to have qualifications that are truly recognized in their fields which can be developed through trainings whose credibility is tested and recognized by the Professional Certification Board. Professional certification aims to provide recognition of competencies that have been obtained through learning, training, as well as work experience.

The phenomena of soft skillsoccurs in real-life events andcurrent situation, as well as programs and activities. In this qualitative research method the researcher conducted three main activities such as in-depth interview, observation and to get relevant data collection in order to enrich and complete the previous obtained data. Based on findings, it is known substantively that students’ soft skills will not be developed if the instructional management focuses on academic. Besides, soft skills will enhance significantly students’ academic results, because soft skills will enable and improve students’ potentials to reach the best learning achievement. In Islamic perspective, the quality of soft skills within akhlak-adab domain will be more better if soft skills’ development are referred to a sound heart (qolbun salim). ASEAN as a regional organization has fundamental principles that underlie all activities carried out by member countries. This basic principle was recorded in the TAC (Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in South-East Asia) in 1976. However, in February 2021, one of the ASEAN member countries, Myanmar, was facing a crisis caused by a coup by the Myanmar military. ASEAN has a fundamental principle that keeps member countries from interfering with each other. However, the Myanmar crisis could affect other member countries and ASEAN cooperation. This study aims to determine the pattern of ASEAN cooperation in dealing with the Myanmar crisis under the basic principles of ASEAN. The research method used is a case study method with this type of research as qualitative research. This paper concludes that ASEAN principles which contrasting to the issues that currently occur make it difficult for ASEAN to make a foreign policy-making approach to the issue of the Myanmar military coup. In addition, this paper also concludes that to overcome the limits given by these basic principles, ASEAN takes an approach through the ASEAN Way of Diplomacy.
