Physiotherapy is a field of medicine based on the study and application of natural and artificially created natural factors on the human body. Physical factors can have both local and systemic effects on the patient’s body. In the postoperative period, physiotherapy helps to solve the most important problems, such as accelerating the processes of tissue regeneration and reducing the risk of infection in the area of surgery. Physical factors, activating fibroblasts, accelerate the synthesis of collagen fibers and increase the regenerative capacity of damaged tissues. In addition, due to bacteriostatic and bactericidal action, microorganisms are destroyed and the risk of postoperative infectious complications is reduced. Understanding the key features of all stages of the wound process allows you to rationally affect the wound. The use of an integrated approach based on drug therapy and the use of physiotherapy procedures significantly increases the effectiveness of treatment and helps the patient to return to their usual level of life as soon as possible. This article is a review of the literature on the most commonly used methods of physiotherapy in the postoperative period. Based on the analysis of publications, the article presents the features and principle of operation of such techniques as electrophoresis, phonophoresis, magnetotherapy, ozone therapy, electrical stimulation, cryotherapy, shock wave therapy, galvanization, darsonvalization, as well as therapy based on the effects of ultraviolet radiation, laser, ultrasound, microcurrents. Examples of physiotherapeutic procedures that should be used at various stages of the wound process, depending on the impact, are given. It is the use of various methods of influence in combination with each other that helps to achieve the maximum effect of treatment in the postoperative period.

Аbstract. The recommendations on an integrated approach to the management of patients with penile prosthesis are presented. Penile prosthesis is one of the most effective and radical methods of erectile dysfunction treatment and is a common worldwide surgery, which gives a more predictable effect and allows to meet the expectations of 80-90% of patients and their partners. Currently, surgeons and urologists has quite a diverse choice of different models of phalloendoprosthesis and methodical surgical approaches for their installation. However, there are no clear clinical guidelines worldwide for the management of patients subjected to phalloendoprosthesis in the pre - and postoperative period. There is also no unified approach to the prevention of infectious complications of phalloendoprosthesis, including their preoperative antibiotic prophylaxis, based on clinical studies. The authors describe and structure the information about preparation stages and management of patients in pre - and post-operative period to prevent the most common complications. All the developed algorithms are based on extremely small selection and purely descriptive statistics, therefore further studies are needed on the scientific basis of management of patients with penile prosthesis, which should be based on in-depth statistical analysis. We consider it necessary to develop legal acts of management for this category of patients, the creation of Russian clinical guidelines for the prevention of infections in surgical intervention in penile prosthesis.

The modern integrated approach to the treatment of ischemic stroke (IS), in addition to pharmacotherapy, provides for the impact of physical factors. Among them is injectable carboxytherapy (ICBT). Objective. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effi cacy and safety of using ICBT in combination with a standard treatment program in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Material and methods. The main group (MG) included 39 patients with acute IS, the comparison group (GC) — 31 patients. On the second day of hospitalization, patients with MG underwent ICBT on the background of standard therapy, and GC — procedures that mimic ICBT. Clinical, laboratory and instrumental data, IS outcomes, complications, timing were assessed.Results. There were no statistically signifi cant diff erences in physiological parameters (heart rate, blood pressure, SpO2) between MG and GC during and after the course of treatment. Positive dynamics of the neurological status was observed in both groups in the form of a decrease in the NIHSS score — in the MG from 6 to 4 (p = 0.047), in the GC — also from 6 to 4 (p = 0.25). In patients with MG, trophic disorders were less likely to develop in comparison with GC — 1 (2.6%) versus 6 (19.4%), p = 0.039. ICBT did not aff ect the duration of hospitalization of patients, the duration of treatment in the intensive care unit and carrying of resuscitation and also did not contribute to reducing mortality. Changes in the indicators of the acid-base state of the blood were compensatory in nature and did not lead to changes in the pH of the blood. The decrease in pH from 7.5 to 7.4 in 30–90 minutes after the procedures was a physiological reaction of the body to the introduction of CO2 and was not accompanied by negative consequences. Conclusions. ICBT is a safe method, does not aff ect the duration of hospital stay and mortality, help lower the likelihood of complications.

Introduction.Methanol and its derivatives occupy one of the leading places among the main organic synthesis intermediates in terms of their importance and scale of production. According to experts, by 2027 the global demand for methanol can reach 135 million tons, the annual growth will be about 5.5%. However, there is little information regarding the assessment of working conditions and occupational risks for workers in modern methanol production and its derivatives. The aim of the studyis hygienic assessment of working conditions and the formation of health risks in workers of modern production of methanol and methylamines.Materials and methods. The assessment of the main adverse factors of production is given. When studying the state of health, objective indicators (the results of an in-depth medical examination) and subjective (the results of a quantitative assessment of the risks of the main pathological syndromes associated with health) are considered.Results.According to long-term observations, the concentration of harmful substances in the air of the working area, indicators of labor severity, parameters of physical factors met hygienic requirements, with the exception of industrial noise exceeding the maximum permissible level, as well as labor intensity of 1 degree. The General assessment of working conditions corresponds to the category of harmful 2 degrees (3.2). According to the results of the medical examination and quantitative assessment of the risks of health disorders in workers, the most significant were functional disorders and diseases of the circulatory system. The levels of somatic pathology on the part of the main body systems were significantly higher in apparatchiks compared to the engineering and technical personnel (ETP).Conclusions:In the production of methyl alcohol and methylamines, the main hygienic importance is the impact on workers of the complex of harmful substances of 1-IV hazard classes in low concentrations, increased levels of industrial noise, labor intensity of 1 degree. According to the subjective assessment of health and medical examination, the greatest prevalence of health risks in workers was observed from the circulatory system, and the levels of the revealed somatic pathology were statistically significantly higher in apparatchiks compared with the ETP.

Enhancing water purification processes is provided by various methods including physical ones, in particular, exposure to ultrasonic vibrations. The change in the dynamic viscosity of water affects the rate of deposition of particles in the aquatic environment which can be used in natural and wastewater treatment. At the Department Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal of the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering experimental studies were conducted under laboratory conditions to study the effect of ultrasound on the change in the dynamic viscosity of water. A laboratory setup has been designed consisting of an ultrasonic frequency generator of the relative intensity, a transducer (concentrator) that transmits ultrasonic vibrations to the source water, and sonic treatment tanks. Experimental studies on the impact of the ultrasonic field in the cavitation mode on the dynamic viscosity of the aqueous medium were carried out the exposure time was obtained to achieve the maximum effect.

Honey bees and the pollination services they provide are fundamental for agriculture and biodiversity. Agrochemical products and other classes of contaminants, such as trace elements and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, contribute to the general decline of bees’ populations. For this reason, effects, and particularly sublethal effects of contaminants need to be investigated. We conducted a review of the existing literature regarding the type of effects evaluated in Apis mellifera, collecting information about regions, methodological approaches, the type of contaminants, and honey bees’ life stages. Europe and North America are the regions in which A. mellifera biological responses were mostly studied and the most investigated compounds are insecticides. A. mellifera was studied more in the laboratory than in field conditions. Through the observation of the different responses examined, we found that there were several knowledge gaps that should be addressed, particularly within enzymatic and molecular responses, such as those regarding the immune system and genotoxicity. The importance of developing an integrated approach that combines responses at different levels, from molecular to organism and population, needs to be highlighted in order to evaluate the impact of anthropogenic contamination on this pollinator species.

Aphids are responsible for the spread of more than half of the known phytovirus species. Virus transmission within the plant–aphid–phytovirus pathosystem depends on vector mobility which allows the aphid to reach its host plant and on vector efficiency in terms of ability to transmit phytoviruses. However, several other factors can influence the phytoviruses transmission process and have significant epidemiological consequences. In this review, we aimed to analyse the aphid behaviours and influencing factors affecting phytovirus spread. We discussed the impact of vector host-seeking and dispersal behaviours mostly involved in aphid-born phytovirus spread but also the effect of feeding behaviours and life history traits involved in plant–aphid–phytovirus relationships on vector performances. We also noted that these behaviours are influenced by factors inherent to the interactions between pathosystem components (mode of transmission of phytoviruses, vector efficiency, plant resistance, …) and several biological, biochemical, chemical or physical factors related to the environment of these pathosystem components, most of them being manipulated as means to control vector-borne diseases in the crop fields.
