It is known that necessary to replace the components of organic acids, which are part of acidifiers when drinking water to poultry in order to prevent the adaptation of microbes in the gastrointestinal tract. In the poultry industry organic acids are widely used, which are used as acidifiers to preserve the properties of water consumed. The purpose of this work was to evaluate the efficiency of broiler meat production when using acidifying agents of drinking water Aquasafe and Veleguard. The experimental part of the work has been performed in JSC “Kurinoe Tsarstvo-Bryansk” broiler area “Roshcha” in the Pochepsky district. The object of research was the livestock of broiler chickens cross Cobb 500 at floor housing. The effect of water acidifiers on meat productivity has been studied. Groups of chickens have been formed on the principle of pairs-analogues. Broiler chickens of experimental groups have been separated from the main livestock by a grid in the corner of the room for 100 heads in each group. It has been found by a result of research to be optimal dose usage of acidifying agents water Aquasafe and Veleguard to drink to broiler chickens. The positive effect of these acidifiers on the digestion of crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, contributing to the effective use of nitrogen, which led to an increase in the intensity of growth, young animals’ livability and improved feed conversion. Slaughter yield in the control group was 55,1 %, and in the experimental group 57,2 and 58,4 %, which was by 2,1 and 3,3 % higher with the same level of metabolic energy and nutrients. In chickens that consumed acidifi ers more intensively used nutrients feed for deposition in the body of the components of the carcass, which affected the production. A positive impact of acidifying agents Aquasafe and Veleguard on meat quality in broiler chickens has been found.

The results of studies of the use of rhaponticum carthamoides for feeding dairy cows are presented. The experiment was carried out on Holstein cows of black-and-white breed in Perm Territory. Vitaminherbal fl our from green mass of rhaponticum carthamoides at a dose of 0.4 and 1.0 kg per head per day in the period of 10-16 days before calving and in the fi rst 30 days of lactation was introduced into the feeding rations of two experimental groups of cows. High sugar content in rhaponticum carthamoides (from 4.15 to 11.2% in dry matter and metabolic energy from 10.87 to 12.12 MJ/ kg) was noted. In the studied material from this plant, the content of the 20-hydroxyecdysone was 0.49% of active ingredients in the dry matter of the product at a rate of 0.25%. The introduction of rhaponticum carthamoides in the diet of feeding animals contributed to the increase in the intensity of metabolic processes in the body. A gradual increase in cholesterol levels in all experimental groups was noted. The most signifi cant growth was observed in cows of the second experimental group by 0.82 mmol / l or 29.50% (p <0.01). Compared with the fi rst experimental group, the increase was 0.13 mmol / l or 5.2%, and the control group – 0.36 mmol / l or 14.17%. Stimulation of metabolic processes in the body of cows of the experimental groups had a positive impact on reproduction, which was manifested in the reduction of the service period duration, compared with the control group.

This study was done to determine the impacts Yucca schidigera supplementation to drinking water on the excretion of nitrogen, and subsequently the level of ammonia, intestinal bacterial count, hematological and biochemical parameters, and some performance parameters. A total of 270 one-day old Cobb 500 chicks were equally divided into three groups (90 chicks/group). The first control group (G1) was fed on the basal diets without any yucca supplementation. The 2nd and 3rd groups (G2 and G3) were fed on basal diets with Yucca Plus liquid®, at an 8 h/day supplementation rate of 0.5, and 1 mL/L to drinking water, respectively. The chicks that received yucca showed significant decreases in litter nitrogen content, when compared to controls. The chicks that received liquid yucca had reduced counts of total bacteria (TBC) (p < 0.05), Escherichia coli, and a non-significant increase in the number of lactic acid producing bacteria. They also showed increased activity of antioxidant enzymes, increased levels of immunoglobulins M and G, and decreased levels of lipid peroxidation biomarkers, without a harmful effect on liver and kidney function. The chicks that received yucca showed a better feed conversion ratio. In conclusion, the use of natural additives is necessary to decrease nitrogen losses, feed cost, and environmental pollution; without adverse impacts on animal performance. Liquid supplementation of saponins is valuable for the performance, gut health, and welfare of broiler chickens.

Perosis is a common metabolic disease of industrial birds, especially broiler chickens. It leads to a violation of the balance of biotic substances in the body of chickens, which is clinically manifested by the curvature of the limbs, reduced mobility, and, consequently, reduced profitability of meat production. Prevention of perosis is possible provided that chickens receive a sufficient amount of manganese in a biologically available form. Studies were conducted to determine the efficiency of use of manganese chelates (pantothenate and lysinate) for prevention of perosis in broiler chickens. Efficacy was confirmed by examining changes in the clinical state, indicators of protein and mineral metabolism, as well as meat productivity of birds. For the experiment, broiler chickens of the Cobb-500 cross were taken at the age of 14 days. The birds of the control group received a standard diet, and the chickens from two experimental groups additionally received manganese pantothenate and lysinate with water during the critical period for the development of perosis – 14–28 days old. After 14 days of administration of manganese pantothenate and lysinate, the weight of the experimental birds at the age of 28 days was greater by 133.6 g (+11.0%) and 142.2 g (+11.7%), respectively, in comparison with poultry of the control group. Additional provision of manganese pantothenate and lysinate to chickens of the experimental groups contributed to an increase in the blood serum total protein concentration by 11.0% and 12.8 %, albumin – by 10.1% and 8.2%, magnesium – by 8.1% and 9.0% and manganese – by 29.6% and 26.9%, respectively, compared with indicies of the control group birds. The use of manganese chelates in the form of pantothenate (0.2 mL/L of water) and a lysinate (0.5 mL/L) during the 14–28th days of broiler chickens’ rearing provides 100% prevention of perosis. This reduces the death of broiler chickens, increases body weight, and, as a result, significantly increases the profitability of meat production.

Under the environments of the Tyumen region a scientific and research work has been carried out, including an assessment of the influence of antimicrobial substances: colloidal silver, antibiotics and organic acids on the body of broiler chickens. The purpose of the work was to evaluate the influence of antimicrobial substances on the productivity of broiler chickens. The research and laboratory experiment has been carried out in the laboratory of the Northern Trans-Ural Scientific and Research Institute of the Tyumen Scientific Center of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences on chickens of the cross ArborAykrs+. Chickens at the daily age have been distributed according to the principle of balanced groups-analogues. The period of chicken rearing was 35 days, during the same period the analysis of the studied antimicrobial substances has been performed. The composition of the test substances was included colloidal silver 10 μg/l, antibiotics (Pulsoceril, Enronite) and the mixture of organic acids (Agrofeed) at the dose of 0,4 ml/l. The results have shown that chickens that have been watered colloidal silver had the gain of live weight for the period of rearing 1850,94 g or lower than chickens in the control group. At the same time, broiler chickens with watering of antibiotics and organic acids exceeded the control group’s analogues. For example chickens of the 1st experimental group where colloidal silver has been watered at the dose of 10 mcg/l every day had the live weight gain during the rearing period lower by 15,56 g and the average daily live weight gain of 0,45 g than chickens of the control group. At the same time broilers of the 2nd experimental group (with antibiotics) and the 3rd experimental group (with organic acids) had the higher gain of live weight during the rearing period by 56,61 and 95,23 g, respectively, compared to the control group. The average daily gain diff erences were 1,62 and 2,72 g. Indicators of morphological and biochemical composition of blood of experimental groups of broiler chickens indicated that they were within the limits of the corresponding physiological norms. At the same time, there were some changes on the part of both red and white blood, which seems to be related not only to the body’s response to feeding, but also to the biochemical processes within the body.

The study was carried out to know the effects of probiotics (Proetxin® Boost, Novartis Bangladesh Ltd.) and antibiotic (oxytetracycline-Renamycin®, Renata Animal Health) on growth performances and haemato-biochemical parameters of "Shaver Star Bro" broiler chickens during September and October 2003. A total of 20, day old broilers were randomly selected and assigned into four equal groups n = 5) as A, B, C and D. Group A was considered as control group fed with commercial ration while groups B, C and D were fed with commercial ration with the addition of 200 mg probiotics / liter drinking water, 100 mg probiotics and 50 mg antibiotic (oxytetracycline- Renamycin®) / liter drinking water and 100 mg antibiotic (oxytetracycline- Renamycin®) / liter drinking water respectively up to 35 days of age. The results showed that the body weight gains differed significantly (p < 0.05) at the 2nd, 4th and 5th weeks of age in different treatment groups. The meat yield not differed significantly (p > 0.05). The drumstick, wing differed significantly (p < 0.01) and spleen weight differed at p < 0.05 among different groups. The mean haemato-biochemical values of Hb, ESR, PCV, heterophil, eosinophil, basophil, triglyceride, HDL, LDL, SGPT and SGOT were differed significantly (p < 0.01) in different groups. The present findings suggest that supplementation of probiotics has significant effect on growth performance and certain haemato-biochemical parameters of broiler chickens as compared to antibiotic supplementation.

Feed acidifiers are used in animal diets for the prevention of proliferation of intestinal pathogenic microorganisms and resulting gastrointestinal digestive disorders. These additives, containing organic acids, have also been found to improve productivity and feed efficiency in poultry. There is information about correlation between digestive enzymes’ activity and intestinal microbiota of meattype chickens. However, the exact mechanism of the beneficial impact of organic acids on the digestion system still remains understudied. The paper presents the results of experiments conducted on Hisex White chicken with chronic fistulae of the main pancreatic duct, fed on a diet supplemented with an acidifier containing 2-furoic acid. No significant effect of this acidifier was found on the digestive pancreatic function. The dynamics analysis showed that the chickens’ secretion rate of pancreatic juice after postprandial 30 minutes dropped by over two times in the testing period when using acidifiers in their diet. After 150 minutes this rate was lower by 27.3% compared to the control group, which corresponds the neurochemical phase of secretory regulation. Analysis of enzyme dynamics (amylase, lipase and protease) showed a slight increase in the activity of proteases in pancreatic juice (by 1.2- 12.4%), compared to the control group, in the phase of complex-reflex regulation of pancreatic secretory activity related to the recognition of the taste qualities of the feed. Feed conversion ratio in the test group of broiler chickens increased by 1.52% when using acidifiers in the diet. The result of the study showed that the use of acidifiers has a beneficial effect on chickens’ gastrointestinal digestion as well as an inhibitive action on intestinal pathogens.

ABSTRACT This study was conducted to investigate the effect of various levels of fresh chive’s bulb (Allium schoenoprasum) supplementation (CBE) in drinking water on immune status against Newcastle disease (ND) virus and productive performance of broiler chicken. A total of 180 Ri roosters were brooded at the same bath until 7 days  of age. After chickens had been vaccinated the Newcastle on day 7, they were randomly allocated into four treatments with 03 replicates as namely Control (no CBE), and T1, T2 and T3.  While a control group received no CBE, birds in groups T1, T2 and T3 received 0,3, 0,5 and 0,7 (w/v) CBE, respectively, continuously from day 7 to 42 years old. Newcastle vaccine was repeated on day 28. The geometric mean titer (GMT) against Newcastle disease virus was determined using the haemagglutination inhibition (HI) assay at 21, 35 and 42 days of age. The results showed that at the end of the experiment, the feed intake, average daily gain, feed conversion ratio (FCR) and overall mortality rate did not significantly differ among 04 treatments. Whereas, in general the antibody titer and the ratio of organ mass of the immune system to the body weight were significantly higher (P <0,05) in T2 and T3 than in the Control. Therefore, the supplementation of CBE in drinking water did not affect the growth performance. However, the supplement of 0,5% and 0,7% increased the antibody titre against Newcastle virus in broiler chicken.

In this experimental study, the performance of broiler chickens fed diets supplemented with Genex, a feed additive containing organic acids and their ammonium salts, essential oils and plant extracts, was evaluated. A total of 17,340 one day-old Cobb chicks randomly divided into three groups and housed in floor pens of a commercial farm, were used in a feeding trial that lasted 40 days. One group was fed on a basal commercial diet, the second group on the same diet supplemented with 8 g flavomycin /ton of feed, while the third group was given the basal diet supplemented with Genex at 3 kg/ton till 21 days of age and 4 kg/ton thereafter. In this trial the buffering capacity of the tested diets and their ingredients was also measured. Results based on the body weight growth, the feed conversion ratios, the mortality rate and the productivity index suggested that supplementation of the feed with Genex exerted a growth-promoting effect comparable to that of flavomycin.

The effectiveness of the use of zinc mixed-ligand complex in feed for broiler chickens of the Cobb-500 was studied. It was found that the reduction of the dose of introduction into compound feeds for broiler chickens, for periods of cultivation of 5-21, 22-35 and 36-42 days, of mixed zinc complex from 60, 50 and 40 g to 45, 37,5 and 30 g of the element per 1 ton of compound feed shows the best results. Live weight of broilers of the 2nd group, which depending on the growing period 5-21, 22-35 and 36-42 days, consumed feed with mixed ligand complex Zinc in a dose corresponding to the introduction of 37.5, 30.0 and 25, 0 g of element per 1 ton of compound feed was the highest and at the age of 42 was 2669.2 g, which was 7.1% higher than that of the control group chickens. It was found that the use of zinc mixed-ligand complex in the doses corresponding to the introduction, by age, 37,5, 30,0 and 25,0 and 30,0, 25,0 and 20,0 g of element per ton of compound feed, compared with the introduction of mixed ligand complex at doses corresponding to the introduction of 1 t of compound feed 45, 37.5 and 30 g of element, increases the average daily increments for the whole period of the experiment by 4.2 and 2.9 g, or 7.2 (P <0, 05) and 5.1%. Feeding mixed fodder with zinc mixed ligand increased sales revenue by 28.4% and profitability of broiler meat production from 37.2% to 47.1%. Thus, the profit per head increased from 22.6 to 28.65 UAH. As a result of the production check, it is established that, provided the same selling price for the products, the use of compound feeds with the addition of zinc zinc-ligand complex has a positive effect on the conservation of livestock, increases the weight of the carcass, reduces feed costs for growth, which leads to increased profits increasing the level of profitability of meat production of broiler chickens. Key words: zinc mixed ligand complex, zinc sulfate, broiler chickens, daily average gain, control group, experimental group, economic efficiency, production check.

The main task in meat poultry production is to obtain products in a short period of fattening with the minimum feed costs. In economic terms, fodders occupy the largest share in the cost structure of poultry meat. The feed in its composition and properties should satisfy the physiological needs of the chicken, as much as possible, and this, in turn, directly depends on its usefulness and quality. In this regard, the actual issue of feeding is the use of antioxidants to improve the conservation of feed and optimize metabolism in the body of the bird. The inclusion of “Bisfenol-5” antioxidant in full-feed mixed doses in doses of 0.002-0.015% of the feed weight positively affected the growth rate of broiler chickens and feed conversion. The highest effect was obtained with the addition of “Bisfenol-5” in the amount of 0.008% to the compound feed. The use of antioxidant-enriched mixed fodder for growing chicken broilers allowed to increase meat production to 17.5%, to increase feed conversion to 12.1%, to reduce the cost of 1 kg of live weight gain to 6.99 rubles and to improve the efficiency index to 0.2 points.
