The main task in meat poultry production is to obtain products in a short period of fattening with the minimum feed costs. In economic terms, fodders occupy the largest share in the cost structure of poultry meat. The feed in its composition and properties should satisfy the physiological needs of the chicken, as much as possible, and this, in turn, directly depends on its usefulness and quality. In this regard, the actual issue of feeding is the use of antioxidants to improve the conservation of feed and optimize metabolism in the body of the bird. The inclusion of “Bisfenol-5” antioxidant in full-feed mixed doses in doses of 0.002-0.015% of the feed weight positively affected the growth rate of broiler chickens and feed conversion. The highest effect was obtained with the addition of “Bisfenol-5” in the amount of 0.008% to the compound feed. The use of antioxidant-enriched mixed fodder for growing chicken broilers allowed to increase meat production to 17.5%, to increase feed conversion to 12.1%, to reduce the cost of 1 kg of live weight gain to 6.99 rubles and to improve the efficiency index to 0.2 points.

The authors considered organic poultry production and presented a qualitative analysis of the diets used in raising broiler chickens. The authors also evaluated the possibility of switching from traditional diets to diets without chemical and microbial synthesis ingredients based on comparative data on the performance and economics of broiler chicken meat production. Organic requirements prohibit the use of microbial and chemical synthesis and genetically modified products in poultry feed. Obtaining large quantities of poultry products in a short period and at an affordable price involves using all kinds of additives that do not allow the products to qualify as organic. Surveys and opinion polls show that a new layer of consumers is today willing to buy organic poultry meat at a higher price. The aim of this work is to evaluate the possibility of producing organic meat from broiler chickens. The research was carried out at the Berdskaya poultry farm, and the test object was broiler chickens of the Iza cross. The age of broiler chickens ranged from one to 40 days old. The authors compared the effectiveness of traditional industrial diets and diets without microbial and chemical synthesis products. During the experiment, live poultry weight, average daily and gross gains, survival, feed costs and cost-effectiveness were considered. In commercial broiler chickens raised on diets without chemical and microbial synthesis ingredients during slaughter, the average live weight was 64.0% lower than that of broiler chickens in the experimental group. The average daily gain of these same broilers was also 52.9% lower. Feed costs per unit of production in industrial broiler chickens increased 1.7 times with the same survival rate of young animals (92.2%). Increasing the rearing period to 70 days resulted in a 1.4-fold increase in feed costs. The level of profitability decreased by 61.2 %, with a decrease in productivity. Increasing the price per kg of meat by 25 50 100 % would increase the profitability level by 22.4 4.7 -133.5 %, respectively, compared to the traditional method.

It is known that necessary to replace the components of organic acids, which are part of acidifiers when drinking water to poultry in order to prevent the adaptation of microbes in the gastrointestinal tract. In the poultry industry organic acids are widely used, which are used as acidifiers to preserve the properties of water consumed. The purpose of this work was to evaluate the efficiency of broiler meat production when using acidifying agents of drinking water Aquasafe and Veleguard. The experimental part of the work has been performed in JSC “Kurinoe Tsarstvo-Bryansk” broiler area “Roshcha” in the Pochepsky district. The object of research was the livestock of broiler chickens cross Cobb 500 at floor housing. The effect of water acidifiers on meat productivity has been studied. Groups of chickens have been formed on the principle of pairs-analogues. Broiler chickens of experimental groups have been separated from the main livestock by a grid in the corner of the room for 100 heads in each group. It has been found by a result of research to be optimal dose usage of acidifying agents water Aquasafe and Veleguard to drink to broiler chickens. The positive effect of these acidifiers on the digestion of crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, contributing to the effective use of nitrogen, which led to an increase in the intensity of growth, young animals’ livability and improved feed conversion. Slaughter yield in the control group was 55,1 %, and in the experimental group 57,2 and 58,4 %, which was by 2,1 and 3,3 % higher with the same level of metabolic energy and nutrients. In chickens that consumed acidifi ers more intensively used nutrients feed for deposition in the body of the components of the carcass, which affected the production. A positive impact of acidifying agents Aquasafe and Veleguard on meat quality in broiler chickens has been found.

Poultry farming is one of the most promising areas of production not only in Ukraine but also in the world. This is due to the high demand for protein products and increased consumption. Ukraine does not use enough of its export potential in the agrarian sector. It is precisely these circumstances lead to choosing as the basis for the research the mentioned direction of production by domestic producers. The tendencies of the Ukrainian poultry enterprises development and features of the chicken market are generalized, namely the volume of cultivation and sale on the slaughter of poultry by Ukrainian producers, the cost price and profitability of poultry meat production have been analyzed; the specific features of the products range are defined in all competitor companies and products offered for export. The competitiveness of domestic poultry production in comparison with domestic and foreign analogues has been investigated. For the study the following enterprises as the LLS “Ptahokompleks” Gubin, TM “Pan Kurchak”, slaughter-house “Piorkowscy” and JSC “Superdrop” were taken. It is established that domestic products are competitive both in terms of price and taste properties. The dynamics of export and import of poultry meat in Ukraine and abroad is analyzed. Significant growth of poultry meat export as compared to previous periods has been revealed, which is explained by obtaining permit documents and implementation of measures by domestic producers to bring poultry products closer to international standards. The prospects for the development of the investigated production direction are designed.

The poultry industry in Russia has significant prospects for the development of domestic production of eggs and poultry meat. Insufficient attention is paid to the practical application of enzyme drugs, although numerous studies have proven the effectiveness of these substances in feeding animals and poultry. The purpose of the research was to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of using the multi-enzyme drug Axtra XAP 101 produced by DuPont as part of compound feed for growing broiler chickens. A scientific and economic experiment has been carried out and various doses of the multi-enzyme drug Axtra XAP 101 have been experimentally studied as part of compound feed and the optimal dose in the amount of 7–9 % of the dry matter of the compound feed has been identified. Multi-enzyme drug Axtra XAP 101 influences on indices of meat productivity of broiler chickens. It has been found that this drug increases the average daily increase in live weight of broiler chickens, reduces feed conversion and has a positive effect on the livability of livestock. The highest value for livestock livability has been observed in the 3rd experimental group, where it was 97,67 %, which was by 0,32 % higher than in the control group, by 0,5 % higher than in the 1st experimental group and by 0,57 % higher than in the 2nd experimental group. The European productivity index was the highest in the 3rd experimental group and amounted to 412 points. This indicator was higher than in other groups: higher than the control group by 20 points, the 1st experimental group – by 12 points, the 2nd experimental group – by 5 points. Thus, the effect of using enzymes in wheat and barley diets is to increase and equalize the nutritional value of different varieties and batches of grain. Changing the location and mechanism of microbial fermentation as a result of adding an enzyme also has a positive effect on the health of poultry.

The goal of the research was to investigate the effect of dietary natural or biotic additives such as garlic, black pepper, and chili pepper powder in poultry nutrition on sustainable and economic efficiency of this type of production. A total of eight dietary treatments with 1200 broiler chickens of hybrid line Hubbard were formed, with four replicates. During the experimental period, chickens were fed with three period mixtures diets of different average costs: Starter compound mixture two weeks (0.38 €/kg in all treatments), grower compound mixture next three weeks (0.36, 0.38, 0.40, 0.41, 0.46, 0.39, 0.42, and 0.39 €/kg, respectively), and finisher compound mixture for the final week (0.34, 0.36, 0.38, 0.39, 0.44, 0.37, 0.40, and 0.37 €/kg, respectively). The experiment lasted a total of 42 days. Upon finishing the experiment, results have shown statistically significant (p < 0.05) differences regarding the European broiler index (EBI) as one of the indicators of economic efficacy. The EBI was lowest in the control treatment (220.4) and significantly higher in experimental treatments (298.6), respectively. In cost, a calculation included the cost of feed and used natural or biotic supplements in chicken nutrition. The findings of the study of economic efficiency revealed that the cost per treatment rises depends on the natural additive used. Economic efficiency analysis showed that the most economical natural additive with the lowest cost is garlic (0.68 €/kg), while the most uneconomical is treatment with black pepper with the highest cost of body weight gain (0.82 €/kg). This higher cost of the gained meat is minimal as a consequence of a much healthier and more nutritious food meant for human use, which often promotes sustainable aspects, compared to conventional and industrialized poultry production.

The article analyses the issues of balanced feeding of broiler chickens and their balanced diet. The results of studies aimed to determine the effect of mixed feeds on the productivity of Arbor Acres cross broiler chickens and the economic efficiency of poultry meat production companies are presented. It was found that broilers from the experimental group, who were fed with improved compound feed with additional sources of proteins and carbohydrates and feed additives exceeded broilers from the control group by their live weight at all ages. At the slaughter age, the average weight was more than 39.2%. The experimental group consumed 10-15% less feed whose conversion was 2.4 and 1.9 kg in favour of the group feeding with the new compound feed. The new compound feed had a positive effect on the viability of broilers: there were no deaths during the period under study. According to the control slaughter results, it was found that the pre-slaughter live weight was higher by 35% in the experimental group. The weight of edible parts increased by 6%. The improved compound feed can be used both in industrial conditions and by poultry farms.

Effect of toasted jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) seed meal (TJSM) on performance of 120 2 weeks old broiler chickens was investigated. The birds were divided into four dietary treatments having 3 replicates and 10 birds per replicate in a completely randomized design. Diet one (T) was soybean based while toasted JFSM meal was added to diets 2 (T), 3 (T) 1 2 3 and 4 (T) at 5, 10 and 15% levels of inclusion, respectively. Growth performance was 4 generally depressed with increased inclusion of toasted JFSM in the diets. Feed conversion ratio of birds fed T and T were the same and significantly better (P>0.05) than those of the 1 2 remaining treatment groups. Birds fed T had significantly higher values of live weight, 1 dressed weight and dressing percentage followed by birds fed T. The prime cut parts were 2 similar in all the treatment groups. Organ proportions showed no significant differences across the treatment groups except the spleen. Cost per kg feed decreased with increased inclusion of TJSM. The cost of feed consumed was higher (P>0.05) in T (531.29) but 1 decreased with increased inclusion of TJSM. The cost per kg weight gain, cost of production and revenue were similar across the treatment groups with birds fed T significantly higher 1 (P>0.05) than the remaining treatment groups. The gross margin obtained for birds fed T 1 and T are comparable and higher than other treatment groups. From the foregoing TJFSM is 2 a potential feed resource and could be included in the diet of broiler chickens up to 5% inclusion level.

Method for using probiotic feed additive Prolaksim-V with a therapeutic and preventive effect to improve the indicators of live weight gain, feed conversion and the safety of poultry stock was proposed by the authors. Composition of Prolaksim-V feed additive is dominated by species of lactic and propionic bacteria: Streptococcus salivarius LT-1, Lactobacillus acidophilus LT-12, Streptococcus thermophilus LT-9, LT-10 and Propionibacterium freudenreichi LT-8. These bacteria perform an important physiological role in the organism due to their protective and synthetic functions, as well as participation in the final link of the digestive process. Probiotic flora plays a leading role in maintaining and normalizing intestinal microbiocenosis, maintaining non-specific resistance of the body, improving protein and mineral metabolism, etc. deficiency of lactic and propionic bacteria is one of the pathogenetic factors of long-term intestinal dysfunctions. It leads to a violation of mineral metabolism, to the formation of chronic digestive disorders. There is evidence that used bacteria are some suppliers of a number of essential amino acids, primarily tryptophan, as well as vitamins. Protective role of lactic and propionic bacteria in vivo is largely due to the formation of organic acids that prevent the development of putrid and pathogenic forms of microorganisms. The analytical action of these microorganisms is due to the presence of propionic and lactic acids, resulting in a decrease in the pH of the intestinal contents. It was found that the use of probiotic preparation in feeding broiler chickens contributes to an increase in the daily growth of poultry in the experimental groups, compared with the control. There was also an increase in the mass of gutted carcasses, improvement in feed conversion, and an increase in the safety indicators of poultry that receive probiotic together with the general diet.

In order to save soybean meal, sunflower oil and reduce the cost of rations, new sources of raw materials can be used. In modern conditions, attention is drawn to the spring colza, the seeds of which can be used as a fat and protein supplement. A limiting factor in the use in poultry nutrition is the presence of glucosinolates in the seeds and erucic acid in the oil, which negatively affect the growth and development, especially of young animals. Breeding work aimed at improving the feed qualities of spring colza seeds contributes to a wider use in the composition of diets for poultry. In growth experiments on broiler chickens the rate of introduction of seeds of spring colza of the 'Nadezhda' variety selected by the Federal Williams Research Center of Forage Production and Agroecology. It has been established that this variety belongs to the "canola" varieties, and its seeds can be included up to 7% (by weight) in the feed composition without adversely affecting the state of the body and the rate of growth of live weight of chickens. The use of colza seeds reduces the use of soybean meal to 4.7% and sunflower oil to 2.3 % (relative). Increases the efficiency of feed in the control up to 61.93% and in the experimental groups (I, II, III, IV) – 62.18, 62.51, 63.62, 62.78%, respectively. The seeds of the spring colza variety 'Nadezhda' satisfy the bird's need for nutrients and ensure equal productivity with the control
