Organizational-process possibilities of the educational field practice for the purpose of ecological competence forming for the students of biological specialties have been presented in the article. Basic factors which complicate students ecological competence forming, fundamental directions of its formation in the process of organization and realization field practice have been underlined in the article. The content of field practice requires additional information on the methods of environmental monitoring in the environment and on the domestic issues. Particularly relevant is the saturation of field practices with the tasks of applied local history and those that affect the spheres of domestic activities and human impact on the environment. Methods of educational impact on students are also needed. Among the generally positive conditions for the formation of environmental competence of students (the presence of ecological content in the discipline, the possibility of self-realization  during seminars and laboratory classes, the practical application of acquired knowledge in field practice), there are factors that impede the formation of this quality. Among them is the lack of content of the environmental issues of the local rank and the practical absence of information relating to the domestic sphere of the person's activities (complicates the decision-making process and responsibility for the state of the surrounding environment), the prevailing use of educational and educational methods that contradict the norms of environmental behavior (make it impossible to form a value the attitude towards nature, environmental motivation and related activities, suppress the readiness to preserve nature and the responsibility for it with en).

Banjar people known as nomads and merchants in his life is famous for the principle that formed the character of the Banjar. Through the values contained in the philosophy/life principle of the Banjar people who can then be integrated into the world of education, one of which is historical education. The meaning and value of local wisdom existing in the community has a goal to increase learners to be able to develop their attributes derived from wisdom and local history of society, possessed the skill in understanding the society in the life of the process and possessing the characteristics and attitudes that are in line with the value of local wisdom. Amid the onslaught of technology and practicality of life offered, later emerged an approach that tried to highlight the local wisdom owned by the region, especially South Kalimantan. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to introduce the value of the urban life of Banjar philosophy and its integration in learning history as a form of cultural endurance. The method used in this writing that is with a qualitative approach and data collection is done by library study by collecting the relevant literature with this paper.

One of the environmental issues is water Pollution causing serious health related problem not only to human but also seriously affect aquatic life. Dyes are among the pollutants that pollute our water bodies. In the olden days so many methods were applied for the purification of water but recently photocatalysis shown a promising technique where the pollutants (dyes) were degraded to give clean water and carbon dioxide to be liberated as the end product. The specific surface area of the photocatalyst 243.80 m2g-1 and the PZC was found to be 8.10. Only 0.9% of the dye (MG) decolorized in the presence of light (photolysis) while 25% of the MG was adsorbs in the dark with 30 minutes of contact. The ANOVA showed an F-value of 1114.81 which suggests that the model is significant. All model terms i.e. MG initial concentration, photocatalyst dose, irradiation period and pH are all significant with Prob>” values <0.05. The predicted R-squared that has a value 0.995 was in perfect agreement reasonably with Adj R-squared that reached up to 99.8%. Adequate precision more than 4.00 by this model indicates desirable and adequate signal. The influence of MG initial concentration in removing the MG color was higher when compared to other parameters involved and this was indicated by the F-values.

In recent years, the metal casting industry has sought to meet ever more stringent environmental standards. Inorganic binders based on silicate chemistry have many advantages with respect to environmental issues, but often suffer from reduced strength, burn-on and poor water-resistance. In particular, when sand is mixed with a water glass based inorganic binder, it adversely affects fluidity. In this study, a Powder flow test (PFT) analysis was conducted to confirm the effect of the surface tension of water glass on mixed sand. Certain additives were selected as surfactants to lower the surface tension of the water glass. The characteristics of the samples were measured using the PFT. A correlation between the surface tension of the water glass and the fluidity of the mixed sand was established. We then evaluated the effect of the inorganic binder on core strength. Using the surfactants, the fluidity of the mixed sand increased by 66%. However, strength and water resistance were reduced by approximately 45%. As a result, it was found that when 1.5% of surfactant was added, the resulting fluidity and humidity strength characteristics produced a mixed sand with good properties. Water glass with improved fluidity can produce a high quality core and mold. Finally, we used a practical application prove that an inorganic binder can replace organic binders in foundry cores.

With the rising awareness on environmental issues and the increasing risks through industrial development, clean up remediation measures have become the need of the hour. Bioremediation has become increasingly popular owing to its environmentally friendly approaches and cost effectiveness. Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are an alarming threat to human welfare as well as the environment. They top the list of hazardous xenobiotics. The multiple effects these compounds render to the niche is not unassessed. Bioremediation does appear promising, with myco remediation having a clear edge over bacterial remediation. In the following review, the inputs of white-rot fungi in PCB remediation are examined and the lacunae in the practical application of this versatile technology highlighted. The unique abilities of Pleurotus ostreatus and its deliverables with respect to removal of PCBs are presented. The need for improvising P. ostreatus-mediated remediation is emphasized.

YI-SHU basin is one of the key blocks in Daqing oil field exploration. After several years exploration, drilling technology and the research on formation has obtained certain achievements, but the core recovery still is not high enough since there are a large section of coal and fracture zone in reservoir, it restricted the further exploration work in this area seriously. In this article, through the various research and field practice, put forward a coring method in the fracture formation, we have got good results in practical application.

The Jewish women of Calcutta contributed extensively towards building and consolidating the rich socio-cultural heritage through the creation of social and cultural infrastructures like schools, hospitals, baby clinics, women and youth organizations. Breaking social taboos, they were stimulated by the attractions of western education and took up modern professions. Their contributions were keenly appreciated both in pre-and post-independent India, which this paper tries to explore. Moreover, when India is delving into the rich diversity of its different voices, with women and environmental issues coming to the fore, the contribution(s) of the Jewish women, as the “other voice of history” could hardly be ignored. Thus besides highlighting the different aspects of the world of the Jewish women of Calcutta and their contribution in the literary-educational field, the paper also tries to fit their collective experience in a multi-cultural rubric, in the Indian context.

The article gives theoretical substantiation and experience of practical application of knowledge on development of ethnic tolerance of pupils in the conditions of the international school cooperation in an Udmurt rural school. For multinational and multicultural Udmurtia this problem is particularly relevant. In villages there is an increase in social problems, which lead to a decrease in the level of culture of the population. The success of social changes will largely depend on the activities of rural schools. The concept of "tolerance" is considered from different positions, the conditions of its development in school are substantiated, and the components of the tolerant environment are given. For the development of ethnic tolerance of adolescents in school, it is necessary to create conditions for the study of other national and cultural traditions. However, in order for teenagers to understand and study the culture of another people, it is necessary, first of all, that they know and understand the culture of their people, the history of their native area, village, and then compare the cultural traditions of different peoples, find common and differences in them ("Respect the other, being able to respect yourself"). The article describes the practical experience of the development of ethnic tolerance of students in the conditions of international school cooperation in the school of village Norya. The village has been cooperating with settlements in the Finno-Ugric countries for about 20 years, which are engaged in local history and, more broadly, the revival and preservation of the culture of their peoples. Positive changes are observed not only in the school itself; such activities give a powerful impetus to the development and prosperity of the village.

Since no simulation model is perfect, any simulation model for modeling a system’s physical behavior can be refined further. Hence, the question faced by a designer is — “How much refinement of a simulation model is adequate for a particular design problem?” To answer this question, we present a value-of-information based approach for determining the appropriate extent of refinement of simulation models. The value of additional information obtained via refinement of simulation models is measured as the difference between the maximum payoff that could possibly be achieved throughout the design space and the minimum possible payoff at the point in the design space selected using the simple model. The approach is presented using two examples — design of a pressure vessel and the design of a material.
