This paper explains the phenomenon of local culture that exists in the Banyumas community in particular and the Banyumas residency in general. The phenomenon of da'wah through art and the linkage of local culture with the interacion between Islam and local culture in the form of art which developed by Banyumas community. The result is there is a relationship and interaction of Islam in a Kenthongan art performance with local culture in Banyumas. The variety and presentation of songs performed by one of the kenthongan groups in Banyumas shows a number of meanings and moral values about Islam which indirectly become a form of Islamic da'wah in the Banyumas community. Keywords : Kenthongan, da'wah Islam and Banyumas Culture. Sebuah wacana yang menjelaskan tentang fenomena kebudayaan lokal yang ada di masyarakat wilayah Banyumas khususnya dan keresidenan Banyumas umumnya. Fenomena dakwah melalui seni dan keterkaitan budaya lokal dengan interaksi Islam, dalam sebuah seni yang dikembangkan oleh masyarakat Banyumas. Hasilnya ada hubungan dan interaksi Islam dengan dengan budaya lokal serta pesan moral dalam sebuah pementasan seni Kenthongan dengan budaya lokal di Banyumas. Bentuk variasi dan penyajian lagu yang dibawakan oleh salah satu grup kenthongan di Banyumas menunjukkan beberapa makna dan nilai moral tentang ajaran Islam yang secara tidak langsung menjadi sebuah bentuk dakwah Islamiyyah di masyarakat Banyumas. AbstractWayang art performance that develops in Java is a traditional performing art that is able to survive and adapt to all aspects of its changes. The issue of this research is to know, how does the history of development and change of wayang function in society? The development of wayang art performance is influenced by social conditions, which affect the change of function of wayang art performance. The objective of the research is to explain the history of development and change of wayang function in society.This study uses descriptive method, with the support of literature review and observation on wayang performance. The results show that the history of wayang development is conceptually a combination of several cultural elements that enter in Indonesia (Java), namely Indian culture with Hindu-Buddhism and Islam with sufism. Indicator of changes in wayang function in the community is the change of pakeliran wayang as an industry tomeet the entertainment market. Changes in ritual function can be seen from the waning of guidance or moral values in wayang, so its has only entertainment or spectacle functions and as a popular performances.AbstrakSeni pertunjukan wayang yang tumbuh dan berkembang di Jawa merupakan kesenian tradisonal yang mampu bertahan dan menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan zaman dengan segala aspek perubahan-perubahannya. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah mengkaji mengenai bagaimana sejarah perkembangan dan perubahan fungsi wayang dalam masyarakat? Perkembangan seni pertunjukan wayang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi sosial, yang berpengaruh terhadap perubahan fungsi seni pertunjukan wayang.Tujuannya adalah menjelaskan sejarah perkembangan dan perubahan fungsi wayang dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan dukungan kajian pustaka dan pengamatan (observasi) terhadap pergelaran wayang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sejarah perkembangan wayang secara konseptual merupakan perpaduan dari beberapa unsur kebudayaan yang masuk di Indonesia (Jawa), yakni kebudayaan India dengan Agama Hindu-Buddha dan Islam dengan tasawufnya. Indikator perubahan fungsi wayang dalam masyarakat adalah perubahan pakeliran dalam wayang sebagai industri untuk memenuhi pasar hiburan. Perubahan fungsi ritual dapat dilihat dari memudarnya nilai-nilai tuntunan atau moral dalam wayang, sehingga wayang hanya mempunyai fungsi hiburan atau tontonan dan sebagai pertunjukan populer.

ABSTRAKKonservasi Budaya Lokal Mikanyaah Munding sebagai Landasan Village Breeding Center Kerbau adalah penelitian yang dilaksanakan oleh kami terkait dengan bentuk penangkaran kerbau berbasis budaya tradisional, yang dilaksanakan di Desa Cikeusal-Tasikmalaya. Di dalam budaya “Mikanyaah Munding” juga ternyata terdapat pelestarian berbagai seni tradisi Sunda, diantaranya adalah Seni Terbang Gebes. Dalam tulisan ini digunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan kajian etnografi, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data digunakan teknik wawancara. Dari pembahasan hasil penelitian diperoleh antara lain; sistem penangkaran kerbau berbasis budaya lokal Mikanyaah Munding, yang di dalamnya terdapat; kebiasaan masyarakat setempat di dalam memperlakukan ternak kerbau, kosa kata khusus terkait dengan peternakan kerbau, hajat lembur yang ada hubungannya dengan peternakan kerbau, dan berbagai bentuk kesenian tradisional Sunda yang dilaksanakan dalam rangka budaya Mikanyaah Munding. Local culture is the identity of an area where in this era its features are increasingly eroded by foreign cultures. It happened because of the ease with which foreign cultures enter and blend in with local cultures which can directly affect the cultural structure of the nation. Likewise with folklore as if forgotten. Folklore is one of the national cultural heritages which is a national honor with a diverse culture that must be introduced to students since elementary school. This study aimed to identify the children's stories based on local culture and implement literacy culture at SD Kartika XX-I Makassar. The approach used in this research was descriptive qualitative with survey method while the data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires. Based on the data obtained, the researchers identified twelve children's story titles which were then carried out by literacy to elementary students of Kartika XX-I Makassar. The application of literacy culture in SD Kartika XX-1 Makassar by 1) distributing story books to students 2) reading about 15-20 minutes, 3) students identifying moral values ​​contained in the story, 4) strengthening the moral values ​​of the story children and the application of local culture in accordance with national values.

Kaba (story) is an old literature of Minangkabau that brings with it local culture and languages. Such local languages need to be revitalized to sustain Indonesian culture and language. This study aimed to reveal the philosophical values contained in the Kaba Rambun Pamenan, the old Minangkabau literature. This study was solely carried out resting upon empirical facts or phenomena existing in the Kaba Rambun Pamenan by Sutan Mangkudun and Ilyas Sutan Mangkudun (1988). The data sources were recordings from an art performance at Taman Budaya Padang in 2010, the book of Kaba Rambun Pamenan by Sutan Mangkudun and Ilyas Sutan Mangkudun, and the Book of Cultural Values in Kaba Rambun Pamenan by Abdul Rahman. The data analysis techniques used inductive and deductive approaches. First, the researcher listened to and opened the video recording of the kaba rambun pamenan performance; second, he made a synopsis of the story; and third, he searched for the content of philosophical values in the kaba, and it was then narrated in the form of quotations in sentences. After the data were collected, further analysis based on the existing theory was conducted. The findings of the present study covered: (1) being a leader must be a wise leader; (2) being a child must be responsible for the family; (3) being a man must be brave and honest, polite, not arrogant, and humble; and (4) if going abroad, one must be honest and helpful

Fantasy stories are imaginative texts with magical characters and backgrounds. A fantasy story about a primitive topic constantly needs some innovation to remain relevant. One of the ways to do that is by integrating local culture into the story. Local culture embodies the ideas and/or values, local views that are wise, full of wisdom, and that are embedded and followed by every member of the community. Writing a fantasy story based on local culture does not mean it loses its imaginative and magical elements. Local culture as a story idea or theme has various benefits for students, including: (1) preserving culture, (2) promoting moral values, (3) representative experience, (4) fostering empathy, (5) generating imagination and inspiration, and (6) the pleasure of reading. To include local culture content in students’ writing, a context approach can be used. The context approach assumes that while writing, the writer is actually oriented towards the purpose of writing and the reader is the target thereof. With this innovation, students can better understand, inspire, and preserve culture through learning. The novelty of this study is an analysis of local culture that can be collaborated into story ideas or themes for writing fantasy storyboards. Perancangan naskah Sumpah Pralaya ini lebih bersifat eksperimen yang mencoba untuk menggabungkan dua konsep bentuk pertunjukan boneka dua dimensi (wayang kulit) dan tiga dimensi (wayang golek) sebagai media penuangan. Wayang golek dan wayang kulit mempunyai bentuk dan karakter yang berbeda baik secara konsep pertunjukan maupun cara menggerakan. Namun perbedaan ini justru menjadi tantangan yang harus bisa dipecahkan dalam rangka membentuk sebuah pertunjukan yang tetap bisa dipahami oleh penikmatnya. Perancangan ini mengreinterpretasi tokoh Abimanyu supaya menjadi cerita yang ideal untuk dipaparkan dimasyarakat luas. Tema tentang kepahlawanan, keteguhan hati manusia, dan cinta, diharapkan menjadi pelajaran yang berharga bagi penikmatnya. Cerita ini juga dalam rangka memunculkan pitutur-pitutur Jawa untuk dikomunikasikan kembali kepada para penikmat. Setelah memahami cerita ini penikmat diharapkan mendapatkan pencerahan dan pengetahuan tentang kehidupan yang baik. Orientasi dari perancangan ini adalah mencoba untuk menempatkan dan memaknai dimensi dalam sebuah pertunjukan. Pertunjukan ini diharapkan mampu memunculkan dimensi lain yang justru merangsang dan mendorong penikmat kedalam sebuah imajinasi baru yang sebelumnya tidak pernah terpikirkan.Kata kunci: wayang, golek, boneka, abimanyuABSTRACTSumpah Pralaya: Puppet Theatre. The design of The Pralaya Oath represents an experiment which is trying to collaborate the two-dimension puppet and the three-dimension one as a united performance. The two-dimension puppet applied in this design is the wayang kulit (leather puppet), whereas the three-dimension puppet is the wayang golek (wooden puppet). These have different forms and characters in its concept of performance. However, the method to play these puppet scopes has dissimilar features and techniques. This remarkable distinction somehow becomes a challenge for the puppet artists to create an understandable and entertaining art performance. This work entitled The Pralaya Oath is clasified as an effort to reinterpret the character of Abimanyu in the form of a particular story that can be widely well-narated. Heroism, courage, and love knotted in this work are all lessons for people to learn. Moreover, this work is aimed to bring out the Javanese moral values as well. After watching and understanding this work, people are expected to gain both enligment and knowledge of a proper life. The orientation of this work is to attach as well as to interpret these particular dimensions in one stage. Hopefully, this performance is able to emerge other particular performance dimensions that could stimulate and assist people to win a new imagination they never thought before.Keywords: puppet performance, wooden puppet, abimanyu

<p><em>Masatua tradition means activities to tell satua or storytelling. The only things that were conveyed were the satua-satua that used Balinese. Satua Bali is one of the traditional Balinese art products that are given to children, but unfortunately the existence of the application of Balinese satua is currently very minimal even though Satua Bali is an ancestral heritage that should be preserved and preserved considering the moral values contained in this Balinese satua are very both in the formation of children's character and can also instill a sense of respect for children towards local culture and customs. However, life before was different from now. In this modern era, the Balinese masatua tradition has begun to fade and is certain to become a past story. Satua Bali, which used to be read by parents before the children go to bed, is different from the present condition, where the parents are so busy with their work that the masatua culture is slowly starting to be abandoned. Satua which is an oral literature that has become the culture of the Balinese people, especially what is called speech literature, which is the forerunner to the development and birth of literary life.</em></p><em>In this research, there are three problems studied, namely: (1) How is the Masatua tradition both formally and informally; and (2) The use of sor singgih in the Mesatua tradition. So based on the analysis that has been done, it can be seen and concluded that: (1) the masatua tradition is usually carried out before the child goes to sleep which occurs in the family circle. Masatua in non-formal activities, in this case in the family, is a traditional cultural activity. In formal activities, this masatua activity has occurred which has been packaged in learning activities. (2) The use of Balinese is closely related to the Masatua tradition, both formally and informally. It is very important to choose the vocabulary or level of the Balinese language so that it is used correctly and can be understood by listeners, namely the child in the family or students and even the general public.</em>

This study aimed to describe the religious moderation of students at public colleges in Kalimantan on the basis of four indicators of moderation. The type of this study was a qualitative-quantitative descriptive research using concurrent embedded research model. The result of this study showed that the understanding, response, and religious method of students had a characteristic, namely moderate value. The level of moderate indicator in each aspect was higher than the indicator that was not moderate, or extreme. In the aspect of knowledge, students were not familiar enough with the tag line “religious moderation”, and the provision of the religious moderation material in the form of socialization or a forum of scientific discussion was still limited. In aspect of behavior, students showed tolerance, national commitment, rejecting violence, and accommodating local culture. In the aspect of the religious method, the students who were categorized as moderate in facing religious problems preferred to uphold moral values, character, and identity of Islam rahmatan lil alamin rather than use violence in solving problems. Facing the disruption era, most students could filter information they obtained and know how to process information they received wisely and responsibly, confirm and consider the truth first, and know the advantage of information before distributing it to many people.

The importance of maintaining local wisdom for Balinese people in order to facevarious negative impacts of social changes brought about by .Technology The symptom, whichis basically felt by the Balinese today, is the fundamental socio-cultural change. The accelerationof the information coming along with the wave of technology has been significantly experiencedby the Balinese, both at the level of the “surface structure” (the attitudes and the pattern of behavior) and at the level of the “deep structure” (the value system, the life view, the philosophy,and the belief). The change is due to the culture contacts between countries in which there aredialectic fight between the contemporary values and those of the traditional where one tries totake the domination of another. Here, the hegemony and the neoliberal views are possiblycoming and breaking all the aspects of life, including the values of the local culture ever obeyedfirmly by the Balinese society. This condition leads to a spit and uncertain values situationbecause the people give more attention and respect to the modern values and marginalizethe transcendental values. This is resulting in various violations of the moral values reflected bythe feature, the style, and the life pattern of the society to occur. Therefore, reinforcement andinheritance of Balineselocal wisdom have to be conducted intensively to the Balinese youngergeneration.
