Local culture is the identity of an area where in this era its features are increasingly eroded by foreign cultures. It happened because of the ease with which foreign cultures enter and blend in with local cultures which can directly affect the cultural structure of the nation. Likewise with folklore as if forgotten. Folklore is one of the national cultural heritages which is a national honor with a diverse culture that must be introduced to students since elementary school. This study aimed to identify the children's stories based on local culture and implement literacy culture at SD Kartika XX-I Makassar. The approach used in this research was descriptive qualitative with survey method while the data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires. Based on the data obtained, the researchers identified twelve children's story titles which were then carried out by literacy to elementary students of Kartika XX-I Makassar. The application of literacy culture in SD Kartika XX-1 Makassar by 1) distributing story books to students 2) reading about 15-20 minutes, 3) students identifying moral values ​​contained in the story, 4) strengthening the moral values ​​of the story children and the application of local culture in accordance with national values.

Literacy is one way to build and develop children's thinking skills that are important for students. However, students' literacy habits are still low. Therefore, schools as one of the three educational centers should implement a literacy culture to improve children's thinking skills. This study aims to examine information about the application of literacy culture in schools and to apply literacy using children's stories for students. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The subjects of this study were elementary school students. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that literacy activities in schools had been implemented with literacy fifteen minutes before the lesson started and used every corner of the school as a reading corner, while the implementation of literacy using storybooks was done by inviting students to read books with various story titles. Based on these results, it can be concluded that elementary schools already have a good literacy program and the application of literacy using storybooks can invite students to retell the story content and the moral values of the story. This research implies that schools should optimize their role as one of the three educational centers to build and develop literacy habits for elementary school students.

Introduction: Dental treatment is considered not very important, but the benefits are vital in supporting health and appearance. Oral health knowledge affects a person’s behavior of maintaining oral hygiene. Efforts to oral health care should be done at early age. The purpose of this study was to determine oral health knowledge of students in grade 5 and 6 of Sekeloa 1 and 2 Elementary School Bandung. Methods: This study was a descriptive study with survey method. The method used in sampling was total sampling with a sample size of 158 students in grade 5 and 6 in Sekeloa 1 and 2 Elementary School Bandung. The data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to the objects. Results: Oral health knowledge of student’s in grade 5 and 6 in Sekeloa 1 and 2 Elemantary School Bandung are in 38 respondents (24.1%) with good category; 85 respondents (53,8%) with moderate category; and 35 respondents (22.2%) with less category. Conclusion: Oral health knowledge of 5 and 6 grades of Sekeloa 1 and 2 Elementary School Bandung was moderate.

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of students’ science learning in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) at one elementary school in Taiwan. This study investigated student perceptions of both the content and language achievement of science learning in CLIL. Data collection techniques included graphic organizers, individual interviews, students’ self-assessment, and students’ tests. Findings showed that CLIL helped enrich student vocabulary size, foster student science knowledge, and lead them to expect to learn other subjects in English. They also enjoyed the CLIL approach, but expressed limited knowledge about the school flower.

<em>The research is based on an analysis of the problems of elementary school children and efforts to develop planning and counseling programs. This type of quantitative research with survey sampling techniques. The research location was in the elementary school in Klirong sub-district, Kebumen. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The results showed that there were several types of problems of elementary school children so that there was a need for planning counseling and programs to help elementary students optimal development.</em>

Thematic learning in elementary school has obstacles in its implementation, one of which is related to the media. The results of the observation show that students need pictorial media. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media in the form of pictorial modules to support learning. The researchers used research development or Research and Development (R&D), according to Borg and Gall. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. Based on the results of material expert validation, it was 89%, linguist validation was 88%, and media expert validation was 84%. The results of the student readability questionnaire were 88%, and the teacher's readability questionnaire was 92%. The conclusion is the thematic module of the development of transportation technology for elementary students was developed suitable for use in learning.

Vocabulary instruction in elementary students differs from other level of education. It aims to empower them understand English vocabulary related to their surroundings.This study focuses on the implication of vocabulary instruction in elementary students through pictures. The use of pictures initiate and activate students curiosity on topic. This study focuses on the use of pictures in learning vocabulary to elementary students. The data collection technique was in the form of observation and field note in one of state Elementary School (SDN) in Surabaya. The study found that picture game is useful to empower students in learning English vocabulary. In addition, students are able not only to write the words correctly, but also to construct simple sentence. This study provides suggestionto integrate picturesin learning vocabulary.Keywords: Vocabulary, Instruction, Elementary Students

The focus of this research is to investigate the impact of learning media towards the students’ value in grade six. This research was conducted in Ledok Elementary School State 6 in Salatiga by using survey with eighteen students as the number of the sample. Survey method was applied by the researcher in this research by giving questionnaire for students grade six. The result of this research showed that the use of learning media performed the strong impact towards the students’ learning achievement. In the development of elementary students, the students were in the a concrete operational phase. Moreover, the students need something real or all the learning process which involved the sensory in this phase. The use of learning media were effective to make the students became more enthusiastic and more active in the learning activity

Resumo: Este trabalho tem o objetivo de apresentar as principais concepções dos alunos, de uma turma do ensino fundamental II, sobre a relação entre atividades antrópicas e recursos hídricos utilizando uma proposta didática baseada no Ensino de Ciências por Investigação (ENCI). A coleta de dados se deu por meio de gravação de áudios das discussões e registros dos estudantes sobre a relação entre atividades antrópicas e recursos hídricos. Os dados foram analisados a partir da Análise Textual Discursiva (ATD) e os resultados obtidos foram organizados em três categorias pré-estabelecidas: a) Concepções sobre o problema da poluição dos recursos hídricos; b) Concepções sobre a interpretação dos dados obtidos no processo de investigação; c) Concepções sobre o uso do conhecimento construído no ENCI em outros ambientes. A partir do ENCI, foi verificado que os alunos compreenderam diversos conceitos relacionados ao tema, foram cooperativos e participaram de forma ativa durante o desenvolvimento da atividade.Palavras-chave: Ações antrópicas; Recursos hídricos; Ensino de Ciências por Investigação. The relationship between anthropic activities and water resources: a didactic experience based in inquiry-based science education with elementary students IIAbstract: This work aims to present the main conceptions of students, from a class of elementary school II, on the relationship between human activities and water resources using a didactic experience based on the Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE). Data collection took place by recording audios from students' discussions and records on the relationship between human activities and water resources. The data were analyzed using the Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA), and the results obtained were organized into four pre-established categories: a) Conceptions about the problem of water pollution; b) Conceptions about the interpretation of data obtained in the investigation process; c) Communication and recording of data obtained by students at ENCI; d) Conceptions about the use of knowledge built in IBSE in other environments. From the IBSE, it was verified that the students understood several concepts related to the theme, were cooperative and participated actively during the development of the activity.Keywords: Anthropic actions; Water resources; Inquiry-Based Science Education.

The problem of this thesis is how the traditional game in Physical Education learning in each school in the Air Priukan Subdistrict. The purpose of this study is to find out the traditional game in Physical Education learning in each school. Air Priukan Subdistrict, Seluma District. Elementary School. The sampling technique used was the total sampling method, namely all elementary school physical education teachers throughout the Air Priukan Subdistrict, Seluma District, totaling 14 people from 14 elementary schools. The sampling technique uses random samples or random samples. Data collection in this study uses a survey method. Data collection techniques in this study are documentation and research. Documentation is used to obtain accurate data about the traditional game process in physical education learning in Primary Schools in Air Priukan Subdistrict, Seluma District. used is descriptive with percentages.

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the school literacy movement program in Cot Lheue Rheng Elementary School through Indonesian language lessons by utilizing the potential of local culture. This study uses descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques are observation and interview. The results of this study can be described that of the 5 steps in the stage of habituation of the school literacy movement in Cot Lheue Rheng Elementary School, not all steps can be taken to the full. Second, the implementation of the school literacy movement is limited to activities in the classroom. Third, the Neighborhood does not fully support this school literacy Movement program so the Environment does not provide source text as a reading. Fourth, the selection of reading books only through textbooks and assessment of community involvement has not been carried out optimally to support the school literacy movement program.
