Advances in technology, computers, and telecommunications support the development of internet technology. Currently, the IT function in society has begun to change. Initially, the IT function as a means of exchanging electronic information to an application that is used to implement corporate business strategies such as marketing, sales, and customer service activities. The purpose of this study is to get empirical evidence of the benefits of using communication technology for business people. This research used a descriptive method by conducting a survey in the form of a questionnaire and conducting several further interviews. The results showed that using communication technology such as the Digital Platform can make it easier for sellers to market products and make it easier to interact with buyers. This research discusses that using communication technology such as the Digital Platform is one of the best business strategies. The conclusion obtained in this study is that the Digital Platform is the best solution to expand business networks and make it easier for sellers and buyers to make transactions. The benefit of doing this research is to find out the meaning and purpose of developing business communication by involving digital technology in marketing products or services.

Pentingnya komunikasi terlihat dari perkembangan teknologi komunikasi yang semakin inovatif. Selain itu, dalam mengatasi persoalan waktu dalam komunikasi, kemajuan teknologi komunikasi bisa mengaburkan batas-batas geografis atau wilayah. Munculnya alat-alat elektronik dengan sistem komputerisasinya menyebabkan teknologi komunikasi berkembang dengan pesat, contohnya adalah perkembangan Smartphone dan teknologi internet yang memudahkan orang untuk melakukan komunikasi tanpa dibatasi jarak dan waktu. Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi juga diikuti oleh kehadiran berbagai platform media sosial yang banyak digunakan oleh individu, kelompok, maupun organisasi sebagai media komunikasi. Salah satu media sosial yang saat ini sedang ramai digunakan untuk melakukan komunikasi dan interaksi oleh masyarakat, tidak terkecuali organisasi, adalah WhatsApp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi komunikasi dalam organisasi dalam group chat WhatsApp Oriflame. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi partisipatif terhadap group chat WhatsApp Oriflame, Wawancara kepada 5 Informan yang berada dalam group chat WhatsApp Oriflame. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa fungsi komunikasi dalam organisasi melalui group chat WhatsApp Oriflame terdiri dari 4 fungsi komunikasi, yaitu: fungsi informatif, fungsi regulatif, fungsi persuasif dan fungsi integratif, yang bertujuan untuk mengkomunikasikan bisnis Oriflame.   Abstract The importance of communication can be seen from the development of communication technology that becomes more innovative. Furthermore, to overcome the problem of time in communication, the advancement of communication technology can obscure geographical or regional boundaries. The emersion of electronic devices with their computerized system has caused communication technology to develop rapidly, for example is the development of smartphones and internet technology, which makes it easy for people to communicate without being limited by distance and time. The development of communication technology is also followed by the presence of various social media platforms that are widely used by individuals, groups, and organizations as communication media. One of the social medias that is oftenly used for communication and interaction by society, with no exception by many organizations, is WhatsApp. This research aims to understand the communication functions in organizations in Oriflame group chat on WhatsApp. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data collecting techniques used in this research are participatory observation of the Oriflame group chat on WhatsApp, Interviews with 5 Informants who are members of the Oriflame group chat on WhatsApp. The research result shows that communication functions in organizations in Oriflame group chat on WhatsApp consists of 4 communication functions: informative function, regulative function, persuasive function, and integrative function, which aim to communicate Oriflame business.

  In this digital era, all information and communication technology emhanched faster all the time. This issue gives a big chance on communication practice become more effective than before. Hence, to full the tight competition on digital era such as online media, the researcher wanted to investigate about applying ethic of journalist code in the online media and in journalist understanding to the ethic journalist code. The researcher used qualitative descriptive method which oriented on the field research and literature. On the other side, the qualitative research also directs into the finding of basic theory which is emphasized the process over the result. It also limits the research with the focus which has criteria on finding the trustwothiness dta. Based on the result on the research about applying ethic of journalist code in the Islamic rubrik OASE at Depok POS.com, online media in Depok POS always apply the ethic of journalist code with colaborate on that ethic such as the way which always used in the field by journalist and the ethic of journalist understanding are the specific detail and detail things which manage about how should the media worker such as journalist, editor, chief of reporter, news achor and every profession which can called a journalist can behave on ethic of journalist code. Further, ethic of journalist code is the basic of journalist thought.

Quality Services User of Service User Pdam City Surabaya (Study on PDAM Responsiveness and Accountability in providing customer service of dirty/smelly water). Settlement in Surabaya city is one of clean water prone area. So far the distribution of clean water is done through home connection obtained from pdam Surya Sembada in Surabaya city, but the service obtained stiil not in accordance with service standard. This study aims to how resposiveness an akuntability PDAM Surabaya city in providing services. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method whit focus of public service covering, service procedure, completion time, competence of service providr officer. Research results can be seen that customer complaints service water distribution system that has been implemented well enough about the procedures service, facilities and infrasructure, the competence of serviceprovider. But at this yime the process of workmanship provided by the officer has not been in accordance whit waht is set and the officer so far only responds to all customer complaints but not acted upon. Keyword : service, responsiveness and accountability

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has been implemented in various fields, including in government. To support the implementation of e-Government (e-Gov) and improve the quality of public services, many technology-based applications have been created by government agencies, both central and local governments. DISKOMINFOARPUS Cimahi City built an application called SILPa KAMI to support the vision of Cimahi Smart City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that aims to determine how the implementation and sustainability of the SILPa KAMI application and what kind of characteristics the agencies should have so it can replicate this application. The results of the study reveal that the implementation of the SILPa KAMI application is running well because it has fulfilled various success factors of e-Gov implementation which is also marked by the sustainability even though there are still obstacles. Also, the use of ICT based on the e-leadership aspect, the information network infrastructure aspect, the information management aspect, the business environment aspect, as well as the community and human resources aspect has been optimally utilized. This application is relatively easy to be replicated by other agencies. The agencies that can replicate this application must have the availability of budget, the availability of related facilities and infrastructure and the availability of reliable ICT managers.

The growing population and the development of communication technology led to the increasing use of Internet technology. Narcotics circulation through the development of Internet technology and VPN applications is the impact of misuse of the positive functions of a technology that has evolved into negative functions and against the law. The use of technology that has evolved from a communication device by the narcotics distributor to market their narcotics trading quickly, briefly, and veiled with the intent of activities that will be disseminating and trading narcotics not May be known by the authorities. This research uses normative research method by analyzing about criminal action conducted by narcotics distributor using Internet based technology and VPN application as well as determining locus delicti from The cause of the cyberlaw and its accountability for narcotics dealers.

<span><em>Currently, real sector business activities are facing severe challenges. The development of ICT and the</em><br /><span><em>emergence of the covid-19 pandemic have led to changes in the business environment. Changes in the</em><br /><span><em>business environment require businesses to adjust by developing new business strategies, so that their</em><br /><span><em>business activities are in line with market demands. This study examines various determinants of</em><br /><span><em>readiness to change and their effect on the continuity of MSME activities in the covid-19 affected areas.</em><br /><span><em>The results of the study revealed that the new values and attitudes of micro business operators did not</em><br /><span><em>support the readiness to change, so they faced the problem of the sustainability of business activities. New</em><br /><span><em>values and attitudes are the main factors that shape readiness to change. While the readiness to change is</em><br /><span><em>an important factor that determines the sustainability of business activities. In addition, this study</em><br /><span><em>revealed that the business environment also as a factor forming change readiness and business</em><br /><span><em>continuity. This research recommends the importance of strengthening new values and attitudes for,</em><br /><span><em>especially for micro business people; so that they are better prepared to face a change. The Covid 19 pandemic so far has made a huge impact in various lines of life, especially for the Indonesian. This pandemic has not only caused a crisis in the health sector, but has created a domino effect that has also caused crises in other fields such as economic, social and religious life. From an economic standpoint, the outbreak of the Covid 19 virus has forced many business actors to go out of business or if someone survives they are forced to cut the number of employees so that the flow of layoffs increases during this time. Business actors who are trying to survive on this crisis are required to find the best solutions to keep producing and selling products, of course with more innovative things. The following article is a literature study on how accelerated adaption to the industrial revolution 4.0 in the Corona Virus Desease 19 pandemic as an opportunity to increrase the economic and business sectors through digitization of business strategies. The method used is to examine several research results that have been published in journals that explain the Covid 19 pandemic and solutions for business people to survive at this time. The findings of this study inform that one of the solutions that can be applied during this pandemic to survive in running a business for business actors is digitization of business strategies in each business run in order to reach wider consumers and increase profitability. This digitization of business strategies has proven to be able to help businesses survive a pandemic by adjusting the sales method that was previously conventional to digital.Keyword: Corona virus disease-19; industrial revolution 4.0; digitization; business strategy Pandemi Covid 19 sejauh ini telah mengakibatkan dampak yang begitu besar dalam berbagai lini kehidupan khususnya bagi bangsa Indonesia. Pandemi ini tidak hanya menyebabkan krisi dalam bidang kesehatan saja, namun menimbulkan efek domino sehingga juga menimbulkan krisis di bidang-bidang lain seperti ekonomi, sosial dan kehidupan beragama. Dari sisi ekonomi, mewabahnya virus Covid 19 memaksa banyak para pelaku usaha untuk gulung tikar atau pun jika ada yang bertahan terpaksa memangkas jumlah karyawan sehingga arus gelombang PHK meningkat selama masa ini. Para pelaku usaha yang berusaha bertahan dalam krisis ini, dituntut untuk menemukan solusi terbaik untuk dapat tetap berproduksi dan menjual produk, tentunya dengan hal-hal yang lebih inovatif. Tulisan berikut ini adalah studi literatur tentang bagaimana akselerasi adaptasi revolusi industri 4.0 di tengah pandemi covid-19 sebagai peluang peningkatan sektor ekonomi dan bisnis melalui digitalisasi strategi bisnis. Metode yang digunakan adalah mengkaji beberapa hasil penelitian yang pernah dimuat pada jurnal-jurnal yang menjelaskan seputar pandemic Covid 19 dan solusi bagi pelaku bisnis bertahan di masa ini. Temuan penelitian ini menginformasikan bahwa salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan di masa pandemi ini untuk tetap bertahan menjalankan usaha bagi para pelaku usaha adalah dengan digitalisasi strategi bisnis pada tiap-tiap usaha yang dijalankan agar dapat menjangkau konsumen lebih luas dan dapat meningkatkan profitabilitas. digitalisasi strategi bisnis ini terbukti mampu membantu para pelaku usaha untuk bertahan di masa pandemi dengan jalan menyesuaikan metode penjualan yang semula konvensional diubah kea rah digital.Kata kunci: Covid 19; akselerasi digital;  revolusi industri 4.0; digitalisasi; strategi bisnis

Internet technology has undoubtedly revolutionised our personal and business lives, however “the ‘killer application’ of the internet turns out to be other human beings” (Kang, 2000, p. 1150). The fusion of the computer and mobile technologies has created a World Wide Web of computer networks, which have brought about limitless opportunities for communication (Rheingold, 2002) and collaboration among social entities (Weaver and Morrison, 2008). Social networks, apart from facilitating user-to-user social interaction, can be seen as a very effective business approach for entrepreneurs, business professionals, and companies (Dimicco et al., 2009). In this chapter we present distinct aspects of networks. Initially, we describe and define social networks, emphasizing upon their key characteristics. Subsequently, we review the different network types and we proposed a holistic network taxonomy based on four distinct dimensions: network focus, network openness, network orientation, and social space. Finally, we examine the strategic perspectives of social networks for business actors, while focusing on organisational benefits and associated risks.

Customer knowledge management (CKM) is becoming vital for organizations’ operative and innovative performance. Currently, organizations are transforming their business strategies from mass production to mass customization and customer focused strategies to respond to business pressures and achieve a competitive advantage. Customer knowledge enables organizations to develop effective business strategies and achieve a competitive advantage. The capability of organizational knowledge management is assessed by incorporating tools that support knowledge management. Based on the experience of customer service managers’ perspective in successful CKM organizations, this chapter discusses effective tools for customer knowledge management that add value to organizations. Specifically, the chapter examines the most effective IT tools and non-IT tools (organizational mechanisms) that support the acquisition, storage, transfer, and application of customer knowledge. The chapter also examines the impacts of CKM tools on organizations.
