Introduction: The most common health problem associated with the negative effect of heavy school bags is back pain, and non-specific back pain is frequently observed in childhood. The prevalence of back pain in schoolchildren varies from 12% to 92%, depending on the age and affected region of the back. To prevent the occurrence of back pain in schoolchildren, the weight of school bag should not exceed 10% of the child’s body mass. Methods: This was a descriptive, cross-sectional study conducted in April 2017. We included 79 students of the fifth and sixth grade from the elementary school in Sarajevo. Information on the weight and type of school bag, method of carrying a school bag, and feelings of pain and tiredness due to school bag were obtained by questionnaire. Results: In the total sample, the majority of the students (64.6%) reported occasional back pain while carrying the bag, 20.3% of students reported no back pain, and 11.4% of students experienced frequent back pain. The mean school bag weight in the fifth grade was 4.01 ± 0.57 kg, and it was significantly higher (4.61 ± 0.86 kg) in the sixth grade. About 48.5% of the students in the fifth and 50% in the sixth grade carried school bags weighing more than 10% of the body mass. A higher mean weight of school bag was significantly more frequent in students who reported always feeling tired (11.03 ± 2.74%) compared to those who did not feel tired while carrying the school bag (8.41 ± 2%).Conclusions: Overall, more frequent occurrence of back pain and tiredness in schoolchildren was associated with heavier school bags (>10% of the body mass), and the occurrence of back pain due to school bag was related to gender (i.e., back pain was more common in girls compared to boys).

Abstract Insomnia is a common disorder that affects up to 40% of people age 65 and older. Untreated insomnia can decrease quality of life, increase healthcare use, and exacerbate cognitive problems. Individuals with cognitive impairment experience more sleep disorders than those without cognitive concerns, yet little is known about insomnia and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Our objective was to examine predictors of insomnia in persons with MCI (PwMCI). Using data from the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center Uniform Data Set, a cross-sectional study of older PwMCI was conducted. Independent sample t-tests and contingency tables with chi-square tests of independence were used to examine differences between PwMCI with and without insomnia. Multivariate binary logistic modeling was performed. The total sample (N=1543) was comprised of 234 (15.1%) with clinician-reported insomnia and 1309 (84.9%) without insomnia. PwMCI and insomnia were more likely to be younger, take more medications, and smoke cigarettes (p.05). Three variables significantly predicted insomnia in PwMCI subjects in a multivariate model: active depression (OR 1.66, 95%CI 1.21, 2.27), active anxiety (OR 2.16, 95%CI 1.57, 2.99) and arthritis (OR 1.78, 95%CI 1.33, 2.39). Differences in predictors of insomnia in PwMCI highlight the need for geriatric and mental health specialists to provide specialized care to this population. Future studies should examine conversion of PwMCI with insomnia to dementia and the compounding effects of insomnia on cognition.

ABSTRACT Background: Woman who become mother have gone through various life cycles, from pregnancy till childbirth. During this postpartum period, almost all mothers also breastfeed their babies. The process of restoring the body health after childbirth along with caring for the baby often leaves the mother physically and psychologically exhausted. So many mothers cannot provide exclusive breastfeeding. This is where the husband’s role is very important to provide support to the mother. This study aimed to analyze the influence husband’s role on the mother’s interest in giving exclusive breastfeeding. Subjects and Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted for 2 months on 46 postpartum mothers. This study conducted in Wonokromo, Surabaya, in 2020. The independent variable was the husband’s role and the dependent variable was the mother’s interest in giving exclusive breastfeeding. The data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Chi Square test. Results: The results showed that out of 21 (57.14%) mothers who had less husband’s role, most had a low interest in giving exclusive breastfeeding. Of the 25 mothers who have a good husband’s role, almost all (92%) have a high interest in exclusive breastfeeding (p< 0.001), and it was statistically significant. Conclusion: The better husband’s role in supporting his wife, the higher the mother’s interest in giving exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords: husband role, mother, exclusive breastfeeding Correspondence: Yunik Windarti. Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya, East Java. Jl. Along with the rapid development of industry encourages the increasing use of machinery, work equipment in the process of produsi with accompanied the application of techniques and technology from various levels in all sector. This means that there maybe a high risk of accidents due to work and also an increase in the amount of intensity of hazard sources in the workplace. Using of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is the final stage of hazard control, although the use of PPE will be maximized if other controls such as elimination, substitution, enginee was already applied. This research was conducted at PT.XYZ which is one of the companies engaged in the delivery of goods through sea lanes located in Tanjung Perak, Surabaya by using analytical observational method with a cross sectional study design with a total sample of 38 people. The characteristics of the respondents and the level of compliance with the use of PPE were obtained from interviews with mechanicalworkers in the workshop area. From the results of interviews conducted, as many as 24 mechanical workers obedient in using PPE and 14 others are not obedient in using PPE. The result of statistical test using chi square test shows that there is correlation between knowledge level (p = 0,002) with level of compliance of PPE usage on mechanical worker in workshop area. Advisable for workers to further improve compliance and self-awareness in using personal protective equipment (APD) whileworking or while in the work environment because its relates to the personal health and safety of workers. For the company should be more firm in supervising the worker in this case about the habit of using personal protective equipment in accordance with the policy set.

Immunization is an attempt to actively boost a person's immunity against a disease, so that if one day exposed to the disease will not get sick or just experience mild illness. Immunization is routinely divided into primary immunization and continued immunization. Basic immunization is given to infants aged 0 to 1 year, where as advanced immunization is a repeat immunization intended to maintain immunity level or to prolong the period of protection. Further immunization is given when primary immunization is given first, and is given at the age of toddlers and at school age. This research is cross-sectional study. The dependent variable in this study is the basic immunization status of infants, while the independent variables include age, education level, occupation, knowledge and attitude. The sample of this research is mothers with children aged 12-24 months totaling 250 respondents. Instrument of data collection using questionnaire and health record of baby. The data transformation uses the data normality test and Rasch model. Data analysis technique using Chi Square test and logistic regression test. The result of data analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between occupation (p <0,05, PR = 1,864; 95% CI = 1,121-3,097), education level (p <0,05; PR = 3,438; 95% CI = 1,671- 7,074), knowledge (p <0,05, PR = 2,653; 95% CI 1,580-4,455) and attitude (p <0,05, PR = 3,202; 95% CI = 1,897-5,405) with infant immunization status. Age has no significant relationship with the basic immunization status of infants. Conclusions coverage of basic infant immunization completeness in this area is still low that is equal to 42,4%. Attitude is the most dominant factor associated with the basic immunization status of infants.
