School age children are groups that is prone to experiencing health problems due to low knowledge of clean and healthy life behavior. To increase their knowledge, an attractive promotional media namely snake and ladder is needed so that the delivery of material is easily accepted by them. The purpose of this method is as a stimulus medium so that elementary school students can easily understand on how to improve clean and healthy life behavior. The research method was quasi-experimental with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population were 85 elementary school students of Ujong Tanjung in IV, V and VI grade who had been given an understanding of CHLB. The sample consisted of 30 people who would be given a pre-test and post-test who were previously given snake and ladder media intervention. The results showed there was a significant improvement on student’s knowledge after they got intervention with snake and ladder media where during the pre-test the respondents who had good knowledge were 11 people (36.7%) but after being given the intervention, it was increase into 22 people (73.3%). On the other hand, respondents with poor knowledge category on pre-test were 19 people (63.3%), after being given the intervention, it was decrease into 8 people (26.7%). Based on the results of Wilcoxon test, it was found Pvalue = 0,000 < α =0.05, it is indicated there is a significant difference on respondents’ knowledge about clean and healthy life behavior (CHLB) before and after given the intervention through Snake and Ladder (SAL) media. The conclusion is there is the difference in the level of respondents’ knowledge on CHLB (Clean and Healthy Living Behavior) before and after the intervention through Snake and Ladder (SAL) media.

The unbalanced eating behavior of school-age children is influenced by the level of nutritional knowledge. The purpose of this research is to analyze the comparison of media education with videos and pop-up books on the knowledge of balanced nutrition guidelines for elementary school students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The total sample used in the study was 90 students who were taken by probability sampling and then divided into two groups, 45 students were given education with video media (P1) and 45 students were educated with pop-up book media (P2). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test with a significant level of 0.05. The results obtained are that there is a difference in the level of knowledge of the pop-up book group before and after education (p=0.0001) and there is no difference in the level of knowledge of the video group before and after education (p=1.00). Pop-up book media is more effective in increasing students' knowledge level of balanced nutrition compared to video, so pop-up book media can be an alternative media used to provide education to elementary school students.

Healthy lifestyle knowledge becomes a foundation that should be owned by elementary school students to improve their life wellbeing level in the future. This research aimed to find out the impact of Physical Education learning on the healthy life style knowledge of elementary school students. The research used an ex-post facto descriptive method on the population consisting of 112 grade six students of elementary public schools in Cimahi City. The samples of the study were 78 elementary students chosen through a convenience sampling technique. The instrument used was The Clean and Healthy Behavior Scale (TCHBS) with the reliability p=0.87. The data analysis used a descriptive percentage and one sample t-test on the SPSS 19.0 program. The result shows that the Physical Education instruction significantly affects the healthy life style knowledge of elementary school students, mostly on the student knowledge of dietary habit and physical activity.  The healthy lifestyle knowledge of elementary school students was not merely the responsibility of Physical Education teachers, but also their parents and surroundings. A further research is needed to examine the effectiveness of Physical Education program related to the school support and gender in improving knowledge as well as to implement the healthy lifestyle of the students.

<p>Kemampuan dasar matematika sangatlah penting untuk siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD). Salah satunya adalah kemampuan melakukan operasi hitung bilangan. Kondisi di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) tentang operasi hitung bilangan masih rendah. Hal ini terjadi karena aktivitas siswa di sekolah pada umumnya masih dibatasi oleh guru, sehingga membuat anak-anak menjadi cepat bosan saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Oleh karena itu, diperlukannya suatu suasana pembelajaran yang baru dengan berbantuan media sehingga dapat membuat pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan serta membuat siswa lebih aktif. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang akan digunakan adalah <em>Games Memorize Card. </em>Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan <em>Games Memorize Card</em> serta pengaruh <em>Games Memorize Card</em> terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Adapun subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SD XYZ di Kabupaten Tangerang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik <em>purposive sampling</em>. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan menggunakan<em> one group pretest-posttest design</em>. Instrumen yang akan digunakan di dalam penelitian ini berupa tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji Wilcoxon dan menghitung nilai N-Gain. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penggunaan <em>Games Memorize Card </em>mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas III SD pada operasi hitung bilangan.</p><p><em>Basic math skill is very important for elementary school students. One of them is ability to do number arithmetic operations. Based on the fact show that elementary school students learning outcomes about number arithmetic operations still low. This case happen because activity at school in general still limited by teacher, so that make children become easily bored when learning be held. Therefore, need a new learning environment with assisted media so it can make learning becomes fun and make students active. One of the media that will be used is Games Memorized Card.  The purpose of this research for see the difference in learning outcomes before and after use Games Memorized Card and the influence of Games Memorized Card on student learning outcomes. As for the subject of this research is 3<sup>th</sup> grade students in XYZ elementary school in Tangerang district. The sampling technique had been used purposive sampling. This research is a pre-experimental design that used the one group pretest-posttest design. The instrument to be used in this research is test. The data analysis technique to be used are Wilcoxon test and calculate the value of  N-Gain. The result of research obtained that use Games Memorized Card able to increase learning outcomes 3<sup>th</sup> grade students elementary school on the number arithmetic operations.</em></p>

At most of elementary school, students learn cube nets from a books and teacher stories. As a three dimentional structure, a cube alsochapter should be taught using three dimentional media. It helps students to imagine the concept of the chapter. A cube has eleven nets, therefore it may be hard to get all of the nets and present them as media in front of students. This paper proposes a media education for cube nets learning. The media is software that developed for desktop utilizing. The software product from this method is tested to elementary school student. A pre test and post test is applied to know student’s skills about cube nets, before and after they used the application. Using Wilcoxon test, the result shows that p-value (0.017) < α (0.05). In other word, the students gain more scores after they use the educational media. The students are also given a questionnaire to valuate the application. From the questionnaire, conclude that the motivational affordance gain 87.14% while the physicological outcome gets 91.67%. Whereas the students give 90.57% for behavioural outcome

ABSTRACTReading is the basic capabilities that must be mastered in order to understand the knowledge. In reality, not all children have a good reading skills. To overcome this problem researcher choosed VAKT method. Researcher believed toward VAKT method effective to improve literacy ability on early elementary school students. This study aimed to determine how the influence of  VAKT methods to improve reading ability at the beginning of first grade elementary school students. The subject on this study was the first grade elementary school students. The subject on this study consist of 5 students. Experimental design used in this study is quasi experiment. The data analysed by nonparametric (Wilcoxon). The results showed that VAKT method effective to improve reading skills at the beginning of the first grade students of elementary school. The result showed that (z = -2.023, p= 0,043 (p <0.050). This study concluded that there was a significant difference between the ability to read at the beginning of the first grade students of elementary school before and after treatment. The reading ability at the beginning of the first grade students after the treatment is better than before the treatment. Key words: Implementation VAKT Method, Early Reading Ability

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of group therapy with cognitive reconstruction techniques to reduce anxiety in grade VI elementary school students. The subjects in this study were grade VI students, male or female sex, and experiencing anxiety. Data collection methods in this study are through observation, interviews, Discussion Group Forums (FGD), and pre-test and post-test using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The data analysis technique used a non-parametric test with the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was a decrease in anxiety both qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative results indicate that participants can think positively, bolder, more confident, and try to do something happily, while the quantitative results show the value of Z = -2,371 with a significance of p = 0.018 (p <0. 05) on the HARS anxiety scale which means there was a significant difference between the anxiety experienced by participants before and after attending group therapy. Based on the results of the research that has been done it can be concluded that group therapy with cognitive reconstruction techniques can reduce anxiety levels in grade VI elementary school students.Keywords: anxiety, cognitive reconstruction, class VI students, group therapy

Traditional children’s games at school have the potential to decrease the prevalence of obesity which tends to increase. Modifications and standardization of the game are needed so that the game can be implemented. The research objective is to develop a modified softball game model and test its effectiveness for improving nutritional status and physical fitness level of elementary school students. The development research design was used to produce the modified softball game model. Field trials of 27 elementary school fifth grade students were carried out with a one group before and after intervention design. The effectiveness of the model was assessed by changes in Z score of body mass index and physical fitness level before and after the intervention. The results of this research prove that the modified softball game model is valid and relevant to the physical education review. Application of the modified softball game model also proved effective in improving the nutritional status and physical fitness level of elementary school students. In the context of overcoming the problem of over nutrition in school-age children, it is recommended that schools and related stake holders implement the modified softball game model consistently.

The purpose of this study is to determine elementary school students’ level of self-regulation skills—goal setting and to develop strategies to achieve these goals. Survey method is used in the study with the participants of 368 students. The study was conducted at two elementary schools in Incesu and Kocasinan provinces of Kayseri and students filled a five-item Likert type scale. Data were analysed using statistical analysis program and 0.05 significance level was accepted. The result shows that the average grade of girls was higher than the boys, the average of 5th grades was higher than 6th grades and the average of the school in the city centre was higher than the school in the rural area. Also, there was a significant difference between the self-regulation scores of the grade levels in the favour of 5th grades. Lastly, the self-regulation score of the students living in city centre was higher than that of students living in village.   Keywords: Self-regulation, elementary education, survey research, elementary students
