Objective: To determine the prevalence of low back pain and some related variables among adults of both genders. Methods: Was conduct a cross-sectional study of population-based in the urban area of Presidente Prudente, São Paulo. The sample consisted of 743 adult residents for over two years in this city. Low back pain, quality of sleep and physical activity were collected through face to face interview at the residence of respondents. Was used the chi-square test to analyze the association between variables, later was created tree multivariate models with hierarchical inclusion of confounding factors. Results: The prevalence of low back pain reported last year was 50.2% (95% CI: 46.6, 53.8), and the last week 32.3% (95% CI: 28.9, 35.6). Was association among low back pain and females (p-value = 0.031), older age, lower education, altered sleep and overweight, the adjusted model found that people over the age of 45 years (45 to 59.9 years, OR = 13.1 [1.72-98.5] and ≥ 60 years, OR = 9.10 [1.15-71.7]), with some alteration of sleep (OR = 3.21 [1.84-5.61]) and obese (OR = 2.33 [1:26 to 4:33]) seems to be a risk group for low back pain. Conclusion: The prevalence of low back pain is high and obese people aged over 45 years, with any sleep disturbance are a group at higher risk for low back pain.

Abstract One of the government’s efforts to reduce MMR, which is still high, is the implementation of the Antenatal Care (ANC) program at the primary health center (PHC). Besides, the government also accredits PHC to improve the quality of health services starting in 2015, so it is hoped that ANC achievements will increase. This study aims to determine the relationship between accreditation status and ANC achievements in PHC. The study design was cross-sectional with a sample of 103 accredited PHC. The distribution of PHC samples is seen based on the 2013 Public Health Development Index (IPKM) categorized as low, medium, and high. Analysis of the relationship between accreditation status and the K4 achievement program used the chi-square test. The results of this study indicate that the majority of the PHC in the sample are distributed in areas with a high and medium IPKM areas. The relationship between accreditation status and K4 achievement showed a value of p = 0.034. The logistic regression results showed that when compared with primary - complete accredited PHC, basic PHC had OR = 0.224 (95% CI: 0.064 - 0.786) with p = 0.020 to the proportion of K4 achievements. Meanwhile, the middle PHC had OR = 0.517 (95% CI: 0.146 - 1.828) with a p-value = 0.306. This study concludes that the accreditation status of PHC is related to the proportion of K4 achievements. The proportion of K4 achievements increases with the increase in the level of PHC accreditation. A basic accredited PHC has a chance to achieve K4 by 0.224, lower than a primary – complete accredited PHC. There was no significant difference between middle accredited PHC with primary - complete PHC for the proportion of K4 achievement Abstrak Salah satu upaya pemerintah menurunkan AKI yang masih tinggi adalah dengan pelaksanaan program Antenatal Care (ANC) di puskesmas.

Occupational health absolutely must be implemented in work, both informal and formal industries. Activities that can cause health problems are improper work attitudes such as sitting, standing, bending, squatting, walking, and others. Health problems related to work attitudes are complaints of low back pain (LBP). This type of research is a descriptive-analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. Research respondents are brick workers in Babatan Seluma Village with 60 workers. Data were obtained by interviewing the respondents' characteristics, years of service, work attitudes, and complaints of LBP. Data analysis was carried out using the Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between variables and the logistic regression test to determine the factors most at risk for the occurrence of complaints. The results showed that 51.70% of the respondents were less than 40 years old, the respondent's working period of more than 10 years was 51.80%, and most of the respondents (56.70%) had non-ergonomic work attitudes. This study shows a relationship between age, tenure, and work attitude towards LBP complaints with a p-value (0.040; 0.050; 0.016). Workers are expected to work according to an ergonomic work attitude to avoid LBP complaints.

Background: Pregnancy becomes a meaningful experience with all the changes both physically and psychologically. One of the changes is discomfort that occurs in the third trimester is lower back pain. Lower back pain can cause disruption of daily physical activity. Endorphin massage can be one of the measures to reduce pain in third trimester pregnant women because it releases endorphins from light massage and positive affirmations from the husband. Methods: This research was conducted in the working area of Pare Public Health Center Temanggung District. The methods used Quasi Experimental with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study were all third-trimester pregnant women with a gestational age of 36 weeks, its about 46 people. The tool used the data collection an observation sheet on the scale of Mankoski pain. Data analysis used Wilcoxon test.Result: The results of the study used Wilcoxon test items, namely p value of endorphin massage group of 0,000 with a value of Z 3.787 and the control group p value of 0.025 with a value of Z 2.235. This showed that both groups were equally influential, but the endorphins group had a stronger influence compared to the control group. Conclusion: Endorphin massage had an effect on reduced lower back pain in the third trimester of pregnant women. Endorphin massage contain mild massage and positive affirmations from husband that stimulated the emergence of endorphin so reduce pain sensation roomates. It was expected that endorphin massage can be applied by pregnant women and husband or families as one method of decreasing low back pain because it helped empower husband / families to improve the welfare of pregnant woman.
