This study aims to determine an increase in the mathematical connection ability of students of class VIII MTs Mathlabul Falah Labuan by using the Probing-prompting learning model based on Islamic values. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental method. Sampling was done by sampling technique saturated with a sample of 40 students from class VIII A as the experiment class and class VIII B as the control class. Based on the results of data analysis, the results show that there are differences in the ability to improve mathematical connections between experimentasl class students and control class students. This study aims to see the effect of visual thinking approach on improving students' mathematical connection ability. This is a quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The sample is students on class VIII in Madrasah Tsanawiyah which is chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments used are a test of mathematical connection ability and an observation sheet. The results of the observations showed an increase in the activity of students and teachers in each meeting in the classroom that obtained learning by using visual thinking approach. The data of increased connection ability is not normally distributed, so the data analysis is done using U non-parametric test of Mann Whitney. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is no significant effect of learning by using visual thinking approach to students’ mathematical connection ability improvement.

The purpose of the study was to find out different cognitive student achievement used Make a Match and conventional learning model in pollution and destruction environment and the connection with human activity material in class VII SMP Yapis Manokwari. The method used the quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this research was conducted in class VIII A as experimental class as many as 28 students and class VII B as control class as many as 25 students. The technique sampling used purposive sampling. The data analysis was t-test and significant ɑ= 0,05. The result showed the significant 0,039 < 0,05 and score of experiment class were 69,21 and control class were 56,4. Conclusion, there is a significant difference in the average cognitive student achievement who are taught by Make a Match learning model and the conventional learning model.

This study aims to determine the effect of the generative learning model to improve the mathematical connection of elementary school students. This research was conducted at SDN Tanjungwangi in the 2020/2021 academic year with a research sample of 20 class III A students and 20 class III B students. This research method uses a quasi-experimental method. The data analysis technique in this study uses N-gain calculations to measure the increase in students' mathematical connection abilities, (t-test) to determine the effect of using generative learning models on students' mathematical connection abilities. The results showed that (1) an increase in mathematical connection ability with an average N-gain in the experimental class obtained a result of 0.79 with the criteria "high" and the average N-gain in the control obtained a result of 0.05 with the criteria "very low" . (2) there is an effect of the use of generative models on the ability of mathematical connections with the results of tcount < ttable 0.830 < 2.024. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the generative learning model on the mathematical connection ability of elementary school students.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning model of group investigation type against scince generic skills of students. This research was a quasi-experimental. The population in the study was a grade VIII MTS Nurul Falah NW Lajut with 36 students. Sampling was derived by random sampling where the 16 students of VIII A as on experimental class and VIII B as a control class with 20 students.Based on pretest data analysis, obtained an average value of 31,25 experimental class and control class was 42,2.Posttest analysis showed an average grade of 65,75 experimental and control class was 61,6.  The data analysis technique was t-test. It show t- test= 5,80 and t-table = 1,67. Because of  t-count is greater than the  t- table, it can be concluded that there were the effect of cooperative learning model of group investigation generic against science skills of student.

<p>The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of learning models to student achievement. Learning models compared between NHT-CTL, NHT and direct instruction. Method of research used quasi experimental with the factorial design of 3x1. Population of this research was all students class VIII in SMP Negeri at Madiun City. The sampling technique using a stratified cluster random sampling. Samples in this research were 266 students with 91 students as experimental class I, 88 students as experimental class II and 87 students as control class. Data collection methods used documentation and test.Hypothesis testing was performed using one-way analysis of variance with unequal cells. Based on the results of hypothesis testwere concluded that NHT-CTL learning model gave better achievement than NHT learning model and direct instruction, while NHT learning model and direct instruction gave the same achievement. </p>

This quasi – experimental research aims to determinethe effect of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) and Numbered Heads Together (NHT) on students' mathematics achievement, and the effect ofcooperative learning model TPSand NHT on student motivation.Three classes were randomly selected for experiment and control groups, each class consists of 32 students. A questionnaire of 26 items is used to measure motivation test, and a test consisting of nine questions is used for measuring mathematics achievement. T-test was used for data analysis. The findings show that there is significant effect of both cooperative learningTPS model and NHT model onstudent mathematics achievement. However, the effect of  TPS and NHT models on student motivation to learn mathematics is not significant.   Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menganalisis  pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan tipe NHT terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini melibatkan 3 kelas experimen dan kelas control, masing-masing terdiri dari 32 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes motivasi yang terdiri dari 26 indikator, dan tes matematika yang terdiri dari 9 pertanyaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, demikian pula penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT juga berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.  Namun tidak ada perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT. Di samping itu ditemukan pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPSdan Tipe NHT terhadap motivasi belajar matematika siswa.

The research is based on the low level of career planning ability of students in middle school. The main objective of the study is to know the impact of experimental learning techniques in improving the career planning ability of students. The research method used is quasi-experimental design. The subjects of the study were students of Class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kalitidu. Bojonegoro academic year 2016/2017 which selected by purposive sampling technique. The technique of data analysis using the t-test to compare the gain value of experiment group and control group. The results showed t score is -8,303 and p score is 0,00 it means that experimental learning techniques can improve the career planning ability of the student than the conventional method.

This study aims to determine the effect of classroom discussion learning model using Socratic seminar method to the student’s learning result in the heat topic of second semester X Class of SMA Negeri 8 Medan T.P 2013/2014. This research is quasi experimental with research design is Two Group Pretes-Postes Design. The  population in this research was all students in class X which consists of 12 classes and the totaled is 343 students. Class X-8 and X-7 were chosen as an experimental class and control class with random sampling technique. Instrument learning results were contain of multiple-choice tests and observation sheet of student activity in the classroom. Average data of pre-test experimental class and control class are 44,33 and 40,33. In both classes, the pretest data are normally distributed and homogeneous. The ability of students at the beginning of both classes are same as analyzed by t-test. After treatment,the data of learning achievement using posttest, shows average yield of experimental class and control class are 70,17 and 56,50, which are normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on t-test, Ha was accepted and reveal that there is significant influence of classroom discussion learning model using Socratic Seminar method to the student learning outcomes. Keywords   :           classroom discussion, Socratic seminar, quasi experiment, learning results

This research is a quasy experiment which aimed to finding out the effect of contextual learning model implementation assisted by media flash on the understanding concept of physics in SMPN 1 Labuapi. The population is all class VIII which filled by 117 students, while the sample of this research is class VIII B with 23 students as experiment group and grade VIII C with 23 students as control group. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The research design used is nonequivalent control group design. The hypothesis is tested by t-test separated varians. Based on by calculation hypothesis testing obtained that there is a difference of understanding concept of physics between experiment group which is given treatment with contextual learning model assisted by media flash and control group which is given treatment as convensional learning. The mean of the posttest for experiment group is greater than control group, so it can be obtained that contextual learning model assisted by media flash given positive result for understanding concept of physics in grade VIII SMPN 1 Labuapi. N-gain test given that for all of sub materi of light showed that the increasing of understanding concept of physics of class experiment is higher than control class, so it can be obtained that the increasing of understanding concept of physics of experiment group is higher than control group.

This study was aims to determine the differences in students mathematical understanding abilities with using snowball throwing learning model compared to direct learning model, and to determine the effect of snowball throwing learning model on improving students' mathematical understanding abilities. The benefit of this study is to provide information about how big the effect of snowball throwing learning model on students' mathematical comprehension abilities. This study used a quasi-experimental method. The Population used in this study was class VIII students of MTs-Al-Musthofa with a total sample 60 people taken by random sampling technique. The instrument that used in this reseacrh is test intrument mathematical comprehension ability consisting of 5 items essays. The results of the study showed that: 1) the ability of students' mathematical understanding using the snowball throwing learning model was better than the direct learning model. 2) There was an increase in the students' mathematical understanding ability using the snowball throwing learning model.
