Abstract. This study was designed using a qualitative descriptive approach correlational manifold. Collecting data using three types of questionnaires about managerial skills, leadership models, and teacher performance. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that (1) A description and the principal forms of managerial skills very well belong to the category, as well as the performance of teacher MA Al-Falah Arungkeke Jeneponto classified as either category. This means that managerial skills with ability to approach the conceptual, technical, human relations affect the performance of teacher MA Al-Falah Arungkeke Jeneponto, (2) there is a significant positive implications in terms of principal leadership managerial skills to the improvement of teacher performance MA Al-Falah Arungkeke Jeneponto, this is explained by a score of 70 -85 % range, which means simultaneous principal leadership in terms of managerial skills in improving teacher performance MA Al-Falah Arungkeke Jeneponto entry in the category of good value. Based on these results, it is suggested to the principal in general, and a principal in the district in particular to pay attention and improve managerial skills and leadership models and with regard to other factors that affect the performance of teachers. Suggested for teachers to further optimize performance in accordance with the duties and responsibilities.

The objectives of this research were to examine the Influence of Principal Leadership toward Teacher Performance. This research consists of independent variables (Principal Leadership) and the dependent variable (Teacher performance). This research was used a qualitative descriptive method by Literature Review. Data collected by a search engine, google scholar, to search the articles with keywords. Principal’s leadership and teacher performance. Based on the results of the literature review we found that there is the influence of principal leadership toward teacher performance across various countries, in general, it can be concluded that there is the influence of principal leadership toward teacher performance.

One of influencing factors in improving the teachers performance is organization culture. This study aims to know the discipline training pattern, the assumption of the importance of organization culture in improving the teachers performance and motivation, and inhibiting factors in improving the teachers performance at SMAN 1 East Simeulue of Simeulue sub-district. This study is qualitative descriptive approach. The technique of the data collection were through observations, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were head master of the school, teachers, and school committee. The analysis of the research shows that (1) Fostering discipline in improving the teacher performance at SMAN 1 East Simeulue is by referring to the decided rules, whether both statutory regulations and school rules. The discipline approach was being conducted gradually started from decided job description, conducted persuasive approach, supervised the teaching-learning process, and guiding the teachers’ task, and giving impose sanctions in accordance with the offense level. (2) A system of giving motivation to the teachers in improving their performance is being conducted through giving the unbinding, good service, career promotion, training opportunities, providing services on safety and convenience of the teacher task . (3) The inhibiting factor in improving the teacher performance is the lack of the school rule socialization, lack of coordination , in effective communication amongst personnel, and lack of involvement of the school committee in deciding the school policy.

Abstract: This study aims to describe the Principal's Leadership in Improving Teacher Performance in SMA Negeri 11 Jambi and the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Principal's Leadership in Improving Teacher Performance in SMA Negeri 11 Jambi. This study used a qualitative descriptive study type case study. The subjects in this study were the Principal and Teachers. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, interviews and document study. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, the data validity test used triangulation technique. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Principal’s Leadership in Improving Teacher Performance in SMA Negeri 11 Jambi is quite good at coaching teacher performance, monitoring teacher performance, providing motivation and evaluating teacher performance. Meanwhile, teacher performance is also quite good in preparing lesson plans, managing learning activities, and conducting learning evaluations. (2) The supporting factor is strong support and motivation from the principal. The inhibiting factors are the lack of LCD projector and internet network, the lack of the ability of teachers to manage classrooms and use various learning methods and the lack of teacher discipline. Based on the research results it is recommended that the principal make improvements and affirmation to the teacher so that the principal leadership process in improving teacher performance can then be carried out optimally. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Guru di SMA Negeri 11 Kota Jambi dan Faktor pendukung dan penghambat Kepemimpinan Kepala sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Guru di SMANegeri 11 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah dan Guru. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Teknik analisis data yaitu dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikankesimpulan. Sedangkan uji keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Guru di SMA Negeri 11 Kota Jambi cukup baik dalam melakukan pembinaan kinerja guru, pengawasan kinerja guru, pemberian motivasi serta evaluasi terhadap kinerja guru. Sedangkan untuk kinerja guru juga cukup baik dalam menyusun rencana pembelajaran, mengelola kegiatan pembelajaran, dan melakukan evaluasi pembelajaran. (2) Faktor pendukungnya ialah adanya dukungan serta motivasi yang kuat dari kepala sekolah. Faktor penghambatnyaialah kurangnya proyektor LCD dan jaringan internet, kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam mengelola kelas dan menggunakan berbagai metode pembelajaranserta kurangnya kedisiplin guru. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian direkomendasikan agar kepala sekolah melakukan perbaikan dan penegasan kepada guru agar proses kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru selanjutnya dapat dilaksanakan dengan maksimal

Improving the educational quality can be done not only through improvements on instructional process such as curriculum, learning methods, the quality of teachers or educational facilities but also through principal leadership as the principal is directly related to the implementation of the school program. Data collection techniques used was interview, and documentation. The survey method is carried out only as an affirmation and supporting data. The research was conducted using qualitative descriptive approach. Moreover, to assure the validity of research, the data was tested through triangulation method. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that the hindrances on the effectiveness of principal leaders was caused by the absence of superintendents’ support in providing organizational structure, system and program which focused on school’s vision and mission. That being said, it was suggested that superintendent as a policy maker to put an effort to develop coordination and collaboration with all the stake holders as it will establish the school’s direction and foster a strong commitment in meeting those goals. Kualitas mutu sumber daya manusia salah satunya ditentukan oleh kualitas mutu pendidikan.Untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan tidak hanya dapat dilakukan melalui perbaikan proses pembelajaran seperti kurikulum, metode pembelajaran, perbaikan kualitas guru atau sarana pendidikan tetapi juga melalui kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah merupakan faktor penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan sekolah karena kepala sekolah berhubungan langsung dengan pelaksanaan program sekolah. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pelaksanaan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah X di pulau Bali. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, menggunakan pengamatan wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode survey dilakukan hanya sebagai penegasan dan data pendukung. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian dan kesimpulan. Pengujian keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa kendala-kendala yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dalam menjalankan kepemimpinannya adalah kurangnya dukungan dari pihak yayasan sekolah dalam menciptakan standar, sistem dan program yang berorientasi pada visi, misi dan tujuan sekolah. Untuk itu yayasan sebagai pembuat kebijakan hendaknya melakukan koordinasi dan kolaborasi yang baik dengan seluruh warga sekolah sehingga dapat menentukkan arah kebijakan dan menumbuhkan komitmen yang kuat dalam pemenuhan tujuan sekolah.

Abstrak : Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh perilaku kepemimpinan dan keterampilan manajerial kepala madrasah terhadap kinerja guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Jenis dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data diolah menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif yang diperoleh dari hasil kuisioner yang telah disebarkan oleh penulis kepada para guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang negatif dan tidak signifikan antara perilaku kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dengan kinerja guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Jika dikaitkan dengan keterampilan managerial terhadap kinerja guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu memiliki pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan. Maka kinerja guru di MAN I Kotamobagu dipengaruhi oleh keterampilan manajerial kepala sekolah. Sehingga dapat dismpulkan bahwa pengaruh perilaku kepemimpinan dan keterampilan manajerial setelah digabungkan memiliki pengaruh sedikit terhadap kinerja guru di MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Abstract: This article aims to examine the influence of madrasah principals leadership behavior and managerial skills on teacher performance in MAN 1 Kotamobagu. The type and research design used is quantitative. Data collection was processed using descriptive statistical techniques obtained from the questionnaires distributed by the author to teachers in MAN 1 Kotamobagu. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. This study proves a negative and insignificant influence between the leadership behavior of madrasah principals and teacher performance in MAN 1 Kotamobagu. If it is associated with managerial skills on teacher performance in MAN 1, Kotamobagu has a positive and insignificant effect. Then the performance of teachers in MAN I Kotamobagu is influenced by the managerial skills of the principal. So it can be concluded that the impact of leadership behavior and managerial skills after being combined has little effect on teacher performance in MAN 1 Kotamobagu. Kata Kunci : Perilaku Kepemimpinan; Keterampilan Manajerial; Kinerja Guru

The objectives of this study are to give an overview about programs implementation in a cooperative named Koperasi Maju, to identify social capital which is generated from the programs, and to find out social capital`s role in cooperative performance. Data were collected during interview towards member and staff of cooperative. Data were analysed using qualitative descriptive approach. The result shows that cooperative programs that were implemented created social capitals such as social relations in the form of interaction and trust, embedded resources in term of competence and financial access, and collective action. These social capitals also play an important role in establishing a good organization and member performance in economic and social aspects.

This research  is classified  as a qualitative descriptive approach to literary  sociology that aims to describe the manifestation of moral values in novel Amira: Cinta dari Tanah Surga. Data sourced from novel texts that were amalyzed using moral theory. The results of the study show that the from of moral values consists of three types, namely moral values in human relations with variants of  have faith,  pray to God, prayer and read the Quran. Moral values in relation  to humans and themselves with variants of patience, sincerity, and responsibility. Moral value of human relations with other people  with variants, of  advice from fellow friends, parents love children, and the love of fellow friends

Behavioral-based madrasa headship leadership can foster the performance of teachers in East Lombok Madrasah Ibtida'iyah. Every task entrusted to the teachers is done well. The focus of the study in this study includes (1) Madrasa head's visionary leadership style in strengthening performance in Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Negeri Lombok Timur. (2) Madrasa head specific behavior in strengthening teacher performance in East Lombok Madrasah Ibtida'iyah, and (3) Implications of behavior-based visionary leadership style of madrasa heads in strengthening teacher performance in Madrasah Ibtida'iyah, East Lombok. This study uses a qualitative approach, while the methods used in this study are observation, interviews / interviews, and documentation. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, which is a study in which data is expressed in verbal form and analyzed without using statistical data. The data validity checking technique is done through continuous observation and triangulation of data. The results of the study show that: (1) The leadership of the madrasah headmaster at the East Lombok Madrasah Ibtida'iyah in leading the teachers in the madrasah is based on their characteristics, behavior, situation, and acceptance. Through the leadership of the headmaster, the teachers accept and acknowledge the headmaster's leadership. (2) The performance of teachers in Madrasah Madrasah Ibtida'iyah, East Lombok State is quite good. The teachers carry out tasks with discipline, dedication, and high responsibility. (3) Behavioral-based visionary leadership style of madrasa heads in strengthening the performance of teachers in East Lombok Ibtida'iyah State Madrasahs, including exemplary, discipline, independence, Through the behavioral-based madrasa head visionary leadership style, teachers carry out their duties properly according to their respective fields of work -mind.     Kepemimpinan kepala madrasah berbasis perilaku dapat membina kinerja para guru di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Negeri Lombok Timur. Setiap tugas yang dipercayakan kepada para guru dikerjakan degan baik. Fokus kajian dalam penelitian ini mencakup (1) Gaya kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah dalam penguatan kinerja di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Negeri Lombok Timur. (2) Perilaku spesisif kepala madrasah dalam penguatan kinerja guru di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Negeri Lombok Timur, dan (3) Implikasi gaya kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah berbasis perilaku dalam penguatan kinerja guru di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Negeri Lombok Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, sedangkan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni observasi, wawancara/interview, dan dokumentasi. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu suatu penelitian yang datanya dinyatakan dalam bentuk verbal dan menganalisis tanpa menggunakan data statistik. Teknik pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan terus-menerus dan triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kepemimpinan kepala madrasah di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Negeri Lombok Timur dalam memimpin para guru di madrasah didasarkan pada ciri-cirinya, perilakunya, situasinya, dan penerimaannya. Melalui kepemimpinan kepala madrasah tersebut, para guru menerima dan mengakui terhadap kepemimpinan kepala madrasah. (2) Kinerja guru di Madrasah Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Negeri Lombok Timur tergolong baik. Para guru melaksanakan tugas-tugas dengan kedisiplinan, dedikasi, dan tanggung jawab tinggi. (3) Gaya Kepemimpinan Visioner kepala madrasah berbasis perilaku dalam penguatan kinerja guru di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Negeri Lombok Timur, mencakup keteladanan, kedisiplinan, kemandirian, Melalui gaya kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah berbasis perilaku tersebut, para guru melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik sesuai bidang tugasnya masing-masing.

This study aims to describe 1) the form of cohesion contained in the news Watching Sakinah Movies, UIN Yogyakarta Give Praise Students and 2) describing the forms of coherence contained in the news Watching Sakinah Film, Students of UIN Yogyakarta Give Praise. The subjects used in this study were news of watching Sakinah film, UIN Yogyakarta students giving praise, and the objects used were sentences containing grammatical cohesion, a form of lexical cohesion. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data in this study are sentences in the news of Watching Sakinah Movies, This student is a method of literature study. While the method of data analysis in this study is descriptive method analysis method, the method used to analyze and describe cohesion markers and analyze markers of coherence. Test The results of the study show that in the news of watching Sakinah films, UIN Yogyakarta Beri Pujian students have varied markers of cohesion and coherence in the Tebuireng Online news discourse. Cohesion markers were found to reference (3), substitution (1), ellipsis (2), conjunction (3), collocation (1), and markers of coherence found cause-effect relationships (2), relationship coherence suggestions — goals (1), coherence temporal relations (1), and coherence of causal relationships (1).
