The purpose of this work is to assess the state of flax cultivation in the Russian Federation as a whole and in certain flax-sowing regions, to identify current problems in the industry, to study state support programs for the flax complex and to determine opportunities for its development. A wide range of analytical methods for studying economic phenomena – monographic, statistical and others was used in the research process. Particular attention was paid to the comparability of indicators for the analysis of the dynamics of the studied processes. For Russia, the fibre flax (Linum usitatissimum) is the most important industrial crop adapted to its soil and climatic conditions as much as possible, which allows to significantly ensuring the import substitution of cotton. The main task facing the flax industry today is to create a reliable domestic raw material base for flax processing enterprises. The economic and strategic security of the country depends on its decision which is determined by the need for regular production of domestic fibrous raw materials and its derived products for civil and defense purposes. Researches have shown that the measures implemented to support the industry at the federal and regional levels positively affect its condition, but so far cannot ensure high production efficiency. Whole yields of flax fiber do not increase and have stabilized at the level of 40 thousand tons and the area of planting fibre flax (Linum usitatissimum) does not reach 50 thousand hectares. The quality of flax products remains low. In conditions of high cost of flax production, price disparity, insufficient level of investments, the profitability of flax production is rather low. Important and relevant tasks in the development of the flax industry are increasing the volume and efficiency of flax production, improving the quality of fibrous and seed products and technical and technological modernization of flax cultivation. Therefore, along with existing programs (easy credit terms, finance lease of equipment, subsidizing of costs) it is necessary to develop a targeted integral program "Development of the flax sub-complex of the region", covering not only agricultural commodity producers but also enterprises of the processing and light industries.

this article discusses the possibility of using artificial ceramic binders obtained by the technology of highly concentrated binder suspensions in the production of ceramic materials and products. The results of complex studies of suspensions of artificial ceramic binders based on feldspar and quartz sand, as well as the results of tests of the samples obtained on their basis are presented. A definite advantage of entering the suspensions in the molding compositions of the slurries used in the manufacture of certain varieties of pottery is proved. The solution of the problem of import substitution of raw materials components, caused mainly by the difficult political situation in the country, as well as the lack of its own raw material base of good quality, in connection with which the paper proposes the use of technology of highly concentrated binder suspensions, which allows to optimize the quality of domestic raw materials. The use of technology of highly concentrated binder suspensions, allows not only to expand the assortment and range of products produced by this technology, but also to improve the quality and economic feasibility of individual varieties of ceramics. The emphasis on the introduction of technology of highly concentrated binding suspensions in certain areas of ceramics production is explained by the formation of a completely different structure of materials due to the increased content of nanoparticles in the composition of artificial ceramic binding suspensions, which contributes to a significant increase in mechanical strength while optimizing other basic technological quality indicators for ceramic materials and products. The possibility of reducing the firing temperature by 50-100°C, however, this issue requires additional research.

This article presents the characteristics of the resource base of building sands within the three Podillya regions, the patterns of sands distribution, and proposals for increasing the extraction of raw materials . The construction sands of Podillya are confined to the Upper Cretaceous, Neogene and Anthropogenicdeposits. The decrease of the thickness of the sandy strata of the Opilsk Neogene suite in the eastern direction was observed with the simultaneous increase in the thickness of the overlapping strata of the rocks. There is no apparent correlation between the thickness of sandy interlayers and the quality of sands. The interdependence of the chemical composition of Neogene sands and the sand size module is established. The genetic predisposition for the distribution of building sands in different parts of the Podillya territory has been established. Four groups of sand deposits of different age have been identified within the Podillya regions, which contrast sharply with single deposits in the neighbouring territories. There is a very uneven distribution of explored reserves of sandy raw materials across the region and accordingly in the provision of construction sands in the different oblasts /regions of Podillya. The areas best provided with sandy raw materials are the central districts of Ternopil region and Slavutsky district of Khmelnytsky region . Sands of the Baltic stage distributed in Vinnytsia region are mostly poor in quality, clogged with clay material and require enrichment. The further development of the mineral raw material base and the prospects for increasing the production of construction sand in the Podillya regions is associated with the increase in production at the prepared deposits, the commissioning of reserve deposits, the conducting of prospecting and exploration work in the proposed potentially exploitable areas and additional exploration of individual deposits that are exploited. The research allows us to evaluate objectively the existing base of sand raw materials for various purposes in the Podillya region and to develop on this basis measures to increase it. The importance of the study is determined by the acute shortage of the raw material in most administrative districts of Khmelnytsky and Vinnytsia regions, by the growth in the volume of construction work (and accordingly the requirements for sandy raw materials) both in Podillya and in the country.

The processes of optimization of the production plan according to certain criteria by modeling were investigated. Achieving effective results directly depends on the optimal production plan. The most important thing in determining the optimal production plan is the choice of modeling criteria. For the most part, the quality of decisions is characterized not by one but by many incomparable criteria. Therefore, it is necessary to make decisions based not on one but on many criteria. This so-called multi-objective optimization problem. For solving such problems is widely used mathematical methods. Mathematical approach can be used to solve problems in any particular activity as mathematics abstracted from specific features characteristic of a particular solution. Therefore, from the point of view of mathematics, the optimal result can be obtained with various established criteria, but from the economic point of view it is important to choose the ones that are of decisive importance. That is, their weight is important for the consumer when making a purchase decision, and for the manufacturer – in terms of production capabilities of certain types and results (production efficiency). The basis of the operation of any enterprise is a production program (production and sales plan). The main task of the production plan is to meet the needs of consumers in high-quality products, which are produced with the best use of resources, on the one hand, and the enterprise to get the maximum profit, on the other. With this in mind, a two-criteria optimization model that allows to make a production plan was proposed. The plan ensures that products are produced with the best use of available resources and at the same time ensures maximum quality of manufactured products and maximum profit from sales of these products. The solution of the problem with two objective functions and linear constraints is achieved by step-by-step solution of the proposed mathematical model of optimization of the production plan using the method of sequential restrictions. The simplex method was also used. An example shows an algorithm for solving the optimization problem.

Hybrids of excess sugar maize are good raw material for the production of functional food products, including baby food and diet. Important indicators of high quality of these products are high protein content and a valuable oil, a small amount of poorly digestible maize starch and a high content of antioxidants, and also excellent taste qualities. The paper presents data on the evaluation of the antioxidant activity of a large group of promising new hybrids of excess sugar maize of mid-group created in order to obtain valuable raw materials for the canning industry. Index value of total antioxidant activity varied over a wide range (from 31,8 % to 60,4 %, 568,4–1,008 mg/g of seed), which indicates on promising use of this important parameter in the breeding of biochemical excess sugar maize on quality.

Coal raw material base of coking is the main factor characterizing the quality of coke. Therefore, it is very important to know technological properties and peculiarities of coals behavior in a charge during coking process for coals charge batching and coke quality control. One of the priority directions in study coals and charges is petrographic and reflectogram analysis, which enable to obtain data related to evaluation genuine (one-valued) technological properties of coals, coal blends and charges at production of coke of required quality. Using a broad material of study, including the one carried out by the authors of the article, a wide range of application of reflectogram analysis of coals, coals blends and charges in the coking production was shown. It was demonstrated also that application of the analysis enabled to exclude the problem of “twins”, to define the degree of genetic coals recoverability and coals grades or types relation in the mixtures for the coking. Based on the elaborated by the authors reflectogram criteria of charges for coking, a strategy of coals batching was proposed, which ensures production of metallurgical coke of required and high quality and safe running of coke ovens. Based on wide experimental studies of plastic-tough properties of coal charges, porosity of coke, its X-ray structure characteristics, strength and reaction ability, theoretical ideas were formed about mechanism of interaction in a charge of petrographically nonuniform coals comprising it during coking process, by using the proposed by the authors indices of coals nonuniformity. The indices of coals, comprising the charge, nonuniformity, differ by metamorphism degree (σR) and petrographic composition (σСК), explaining regularities of forming of quality of coke from the charge with participation of petrographically nonuniform coals. The package of the factors noted by the authors, revealed in the process of the study of coals, coals blends and charges, as well as quality of coke obtained from them, enabled to elaborate a complex index of charges coking ability (К.п.к.Vo), which enables to considerably simplify the mathematical model of coke quality prediction and to increase its reliability. Mathematical models of coke quality prediction were verified and implemented at several plants of Russia.

The modern state of the raw material base of the “Kogalymneftegaz” TMC is characterized by deterioration in the structure and quality of the field reservoirs at the latter development stage. The depletion of the main developed oil formations has long exceeded 60%. Despite the high depletion rate, the complete coverage of all recoverable resources by flooding has not been achieved. The differences in zone and area irregularities of the production facilities and the imperfection of the existing development systems at the present stage lead to the formation of non-drainable resources. In order to involve them into production in formations, various types of interventions are carried out in order to improve the existing development systems. The research objective is to develop a detailed approach to planning a transfer of wells which have completed their purpose from one development facility to another. Using a detailed geological and routine analysis of results of carrying out various interventions on the formation, an active application of the most effective of these has been proposed.

The estimation of the share of hard-to-extract oil reserves in the deposits of Russia varies by different sources, in a fairly wide range (from 30 to 70 %). Due to the absence of a common approach to their definition, the variety of parameters used to estimate this share and fundamentally different conditions for the development of the groups of reserves classified as hard-to-extract become challanging. A significant share of the proven oil reserves of Russian oil fields - about 34 % (6.3 million tons) - belongs to heavy (oil density more than 0.871 g/cm3) and super-heavy (oil density more than 0.895 g/cm3). In general, the share of high-viscosity and super-highviscosity oils is about 13% (2.4 million tons). The largest share refers to the deposits of three districts. In lowpermeable collectors (permeability less than 0.05 μm2), huge reserves are concentrated – 8.2 million tons or 44.6 % of all oil. Comparison of oil extraction and reserves structure indicates a good correlation for oil extraction from low-permeable collectors in 41.8 % with reserves percentage in 44.6 % as well as a relatively good correlation in super-heavy oil in 13.4% with reserves percentage in 18 % and low rates for super-high-viscosity oil in 1.7% with reserves perecentage in 6 %. Significant proven reserves of high-viscosity oil in Russia indicate the possibility of increasing production with the introduction of modern, existing and proven, technologies under appropriate economic conditions. Full-scale involvement in the development of only the largest deposits of high-viscosity oil would allow the Russian Federation to produce at least 25-30 million tons in the medium term.
