Abstract: As one of health care organizations, a hospital comprehensively covers promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services for the society, therefore, it often faces problems related to the quality of hospital services which is considered inadequate or unsatisfactory. The hospital has medical staff and non-medical staff such as employees at the finance section, cleaning service, front office, and marketing. These non-medical employees have very important responsibilities and they also manage the operational systems of the hospital. This sudy was aimed to assess the relationship between compensation, leadership style, and infrastructure with work motivation of the cleaning service employees at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital, Manado. This was a quantitative study with a cross sectional design conducted from December to February 2017. Respondents were all cleaning service employees as many as 125 people. Analysis of the data consisted of univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyses using SPSS. The results showed that the significant values of the variables were as follows: compensation provision (P = 0.000), leadership style (P = 0.000), and infrastructure (P = 0.102) in relation with the work motivation of the cleaning service employees. Conclusion: There were significant relationships between the compensation and leadership style with work motivation of cleaning service employees, meanwhile infrastructure had no relationship with that work motivation.Keywords: compensation, leadership style, infrastructure, work motivationAbstrak: Rumah sakit sebagai salah satu organisasi pelayanan kesehatan yang komperhensif mencakup layanan promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif bagi seluruh lapisan masyarakat, sering menghadapi permasalahan mutu pelayanan yang dianggap kurang memadai atau memuaskan. Rumah sakit memiliki tenaga medis dan non-medis yaitu antara lain karyawan yang bekerja di bagian keuangan, cleaning service, front office dan pemasaran. Tenaga non-medis juga memiliki tanggung jawab yang sangat penting dalam mengelola sistem operasional rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemberian kompensasi, gaya kepemimpinan, dan sarana-prasarana dengan motivasi kerja karyawan cleaning service di RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou. Jenis penelitian ini ialah kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember-Februari 2017. Respoden ialah seluruh karyawan cleaning service sebanyak 125 orang. Analisis data terdiri dari univariat, bivariat, dan multivariat dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi pemberian kompensasi (0,000), gaya kepemimpinan (0,000), dan sarana-prasarana (0,102) terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan cleaning service. Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara pemberian kompensasi dan gaya kepemimpinan dengan motivasi kerja karyawan cleaning service di RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado, sedangkan sarana-prasarana tidak berhubungan dengan motivasi kerja tersebut. Kata kunci: kompensasi, gaya kepemimpinan, sarana-prasarana, motivasi kerja

In this study we used a quasiexperimental, cross-sectional design with six cohorts differing in phase of treatment (pretreatment, posttreatment, 2-year posttreatment) and treatment type (psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy) and investigated scores on 39 Rorschach-CS variables. The total sample consisted of 176 participants from four mental health care organizations in The Netherlands. We first examined pretreatment differences between patients entering psychoanalysis and patients entering psychoanalytic psychotherapy. The two treatment groups did not seem to differ substantially before treatment, with the exception of the level of ideational problems. Next, we studied the outcome of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy by comparing the Rorschach-CS scores of the six groups of patients. In general, we found significant differences between pretreatment and posttreatment on a relatively small number of Rorschach-CS variables. More pre/post differences were found between the psychoanalytic psychotherapy groups than between the psychoanalysis groups. More research is needed to examine whether analyzing clusters of variables might reveal other results.

In the hospital, nursing staff are the greatest number of hospital human resource and the longest staff who interact with clients. Nursing practice standards,  include  the  standard  of  care  and  the  professional  performance standard that are use as evaluations in assessment nursing care who carry out by nurses. Performance or work performance comes from job performance word (work performance or real achievement someone has ever achieved). The factors that can affect on someone performance, are individual factors: abilities, skills, family background, work experience, social level and demography factor; psychological factors: perception, role, attitude, personality, motivation, and job satisfaction; organizational factors: organizational structure, job design, and leadership. To getting nurses with good performance, hospital need a leader who can understand the nurses' necessary and can provides good environmental assistance to make nurses feel motivated. This study aims to determine the relationship between room head's leaderschip style and work motivation in the inpatient room of AN-NISA Hospital, Tangerang. The research design used is a quantitative correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study is  organizer nurses in the inpatient room of AN-NISA Hospital in Tangerang and using  purposive  sampling  technique  with  83  respondents.  Analysis  technique using Chi-square test. The results showed that the dominant style of leadership in inpatient  room  of  AN-NISA  Hospital  Tangerang  is  democratic  style  (48.2%). There is a relationship between the room head's leadership style and the performance of nurses (p.value = 0.033) and there is a relationship between work motivation  and  nurse  performance  (p.  Value  =  0.019).  It  is  hoped  that  this research can be used as a material for evaluating hospitals regarding the leadership style of the head of the room, work motivation and performance of the nurse nurses to be able to maintain and improve the performance of nurses.

Main hazard for the coal mining workers is chemical dust that will cause declining of lung function with chronic exposure. PT. X experienced elevated trend of decline lung function of its worker within the past three years (2013–2015 i.e., 15.8%, 18.3%, and 21.9%). November 2015, PT. X stipulated new policy to its field workers that oblige them to use PPE mask of N series type 8211. Using cross sectional design with 300 people chosen by convinient sampling; primary data collection was conducted via interview and filling questionnaire, and secondary data collection was compiled from PT. X’s MCU reports of 2015 and 2016 and HRD-HSE monthly reports. As much as 82% of workers are comply to use PPE. There are statistically significant relation between work motivation (p 0.02, ORa 4.80, 95% CI 1.22; 18.86), PPE knowledge (p < 0.01, ORa 353.77, 95% CI 59.93; 2088.25), PPE comfortability (p < 0.01, ORa 61.64, 95% CI 5.99; 634.13), reward/punishment (p < 0.01), and supervision (p < 0.01, ORa 0.08, 95% CI 0.01; 0.43) with workers’ compliance of PPE mask of N series type 8211. There are three people experienced declining of lung function within a year. PT. X was advised to continue its policy.

Human resources are a very important factor in an organization both large and small scale organizatio formulation ns. In an organization or company, leadership is one of the things needed to influence performance results. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between leadership and work motivation with employee performance at the Benda Baru Health Center in South Tangerang City in 2020. This study used an observational analytic research type with a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional design. The population in this study amounted to 48 people and the sample size equal to the total population of 48 people. The instruments and data collection techniques used were questionnaires which filled in directly and independently by respondents via google forms. Based on the research results it is known that the leadership variable has a significant relationship with employee performance with p-value = 0.006 and the work motivation variable has a significant relationship with employee performance with a p-value = 0.010. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between leadership and work motivation with employee performance on employees at the Puskesmas Benda Baru Kota South Tangerang in 2020.Keywords: LeadershipWork motivationPerformanceEmployeesABSTRAK Sumber daya manusia merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam sebuah organisasi baik organisasi dalam skala besar maupun skala kecil. Instrumen dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang diisi secara langsung dan mandiri oleh responden melalui google formulir. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa variabel kepemimpinan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kinerja karyawan dengan p-value = 0,006 dan variabel motivasi kerja memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kinerja karyawan dengan p-value = 0,010. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja dengan kinerja karyawan pada karyawan di Puskesmas Benda Baru Kota Tangerang Selatan tahun 2020.Kata Kunci:KepemimpinanMotivasi kerjaKinerjaKaryawan

Penelitian ini bertujuan membuktikan adanya pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja, secara sendiri-sendiri maupun bersama, terhadap kinerja guru SD negeri di Kecamatan Comal Kabupaten Pemalang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan survey yang bersifat explanatory. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang telah teruji keabsahannya terbukti valid dan stabil. Pengujian prasarat analisis yang meliputi uji normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedasitas, dan linearitas menunjukkan persyaratan telah terpenuhi. Hasil uji F hitung 120,311 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000<0,05, berarti ada pengaruh signifikan dan positif gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Dari uji parsial, diperoleh nilai signifikansi gaya kepemimpinan transformasional 0,001, motivasi kerja 0,000, dan kepuasan kerja 0,000< 0,05, berarti gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja masing-masing berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap kinerja guru. Hal ini menunjukkan semua hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima, artinya ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja, baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun bersama, terhadap kinerja guru.AbstractThis study aims to prove the influence of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction both individually and collectively on the performance of elementary school teachers in Comal District, Pemalang Regency. This is a quantitative study using a cross sectional approach and an explanatory survey. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and is proven valid and stable. The results of the analysis prerequisite test including normality test, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and linearity show that the requirements have been fulfilled. The result of the F test count is 120.311 with a significance value of 0.000<0.05, meaning that there is a significant and positive effect of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction on teacher performance. Partial test shows that the significance value of transformational leadership style is 0.001, work motivation is 0.000, and job satisfaction is 0.000<0.05, meaning that transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction have a significant and positive effect on teacher performance, respectively. It shows that all hypotheses in this study are acceptable, which means that there is a positive and significant effect of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction both individually and collectively on the teachers’ performance.

AbstractWork productivity is potential on the survival of a company. The use of contraceptives may affect the physiology of every woman, so it can affect daily activities and resulted in labor productivity. The aim of this study was to determine the contraceptive use effect on labor woman productivity by controlling with age, education and work motivation. Study with cross sectional design involved 71 married women workers of PT. Bomar Makassar who had got married. Data were found by interview using questionnaire on May to June 2015, then analyzed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The results of the study indicate that, there was an effect of contraceptive use on woman labor productivity after controlling for variables as age (p value = 0.011), education (p value = 0.022) and work motivation (p value = 0.028).Withouth being controlled by those variables, a significant result showing an effect of contraceptive use on work productivity was also found (p value < 0.05). The results of multivariable analysis indicate that there were two variables which consistenly affected the productivity, namely work motivation (p value = 0.010) and contraceptive use (p value = 0.010). In conclusion, there is an effect of contraceptive use on woman labor productivity. AbstrakProduktivitas kerja potensial pada kelangsungan hidup perusahaan. Penggunaan kontrasepsi dapat memengaruhi fisiologi setiap perempuan, sehingga dapat memengaruhi aktivitas sehari-hari dan akan berdampak terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan alat kontrasepsi terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja perempuan dengan mengontrol usia, pendidikan dan motivasi kerja. Penelitian dengan rancangan potong lintang melibatkan 71 pekerja perempuan PT Bomar Makassar yang telah menikah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner pada bulan Mei sampai Juni 2015, kemudian dianalisis secara univariat, bivariat, dan multivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan alat kontrasepsi terhadap produktivitas kerja setelah dikontrol dengan variabel usia (nilai p = 0,011), pendidikan (nilai p = 0,022) dan motivasi kerja (nilai p = 0,028). Tanpa dikontrol dengan variabel tersebut, juga terdapat hasil yang signifikan yang menunjukkan dampak penggunaan alat kontrasepsi terhadap produktivitas kerja(nilai p < 0,05). Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua variabel yang konsisten memberikan pengaruh terhadap produktivitas kerja yaitu motivasi kerja (nilai p = 0,010) dan penggunaan alat kontrasepsi (nilai p = 0,010). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan alat kontrasepsi terhadap produktivitas kerja.

Abstract Background: Workplace violence has been recognized globally as a serious occupational hazard in health services occupations, and existing studies have identified that workplace violence can significantly lead to depression. Interpersonal trust, an important topic, also has been proved associated with workplace violence and depression. However, the moderating effect of interpersonal trust has not been tested before, which can help us to further understand the effect mechanism of workplace violence on depression. Method: In the current study, we collected 3,426 valid questionnaires based on a cross-sectional design among medical staff in Chinese hospitals. Depression, workplace violence, interpersonal trust, social support, physical diseases, and some other social-demographic variables were evaluated. Results: The data analyzed in the current study supported that there were 52.2% of medical staff experienced workplace violence before. Experiencing verbal violence (b=2.99, p<0.001), experiencing physical violence (b=3.70, p<0.01), experiencing both kinds of the violence (b=4.84, p<0.001), high level of interpersonal trust (b=0.22, p<0.001), nursing (b=1.10, p<0.05), manager (b=-1.72, p<0.001), suffering physical disease (b=3.35, p<0.001), social support (b=-0.23, p<0.001) were significantly associated with depression. Interpersonal trust had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between workplace violence and depression. Conclusion: Interpersonal trust can be a mediator between workplace violence and depression. Some potential strategies would be beneficial to promoting the mental health status among medical staff.

Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital applies reward and punishment in completing employee work discipline that must be in accordance with hospital regulations. Good rewards and punishments can motivate employees to improve work discipline and help employees achieve effective performance. This study aims to determine the Relationship of Reward and Punishment with Work Discipline in Employees of the Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital in 2020. This type of quantitative research is analytic survey using cross sectional design. The sample in this study was taken by purposive sampling of 48 employees. Analysis using the Chi-Square test with a confidence level of 95%, α = 0.05. The results of the research between reward and work discipline show that there is a significant relationship between reward and work discipline in the employees of Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital in 2020, p value (0.022) <α (0.05) is obtained. While the results of research between punishment with work discipline that shows there is a significant relationship between punishment with work discipline on employees of the Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital in 2020. From the Chi Square test results obtained p value (0.036) <α (0.05). It is expected that the hospital should pay more attention to the rewards and punishments for employees to further improve discipline, work motivation, work morale so that they can be maintained or further improved and it is advisable to pay more attention to work discipline to employees by giving reprimands or punishment to employees who work discipline is not good so the bias is even better.

                                                         ABSTRACTUD. King Rack Surabaya is a rack production home industry. The production process includes welding of the rack structure. This study aims to analyze the relationship between education, job satisfaction, and work motivation to the work productivity of workers in the welding section of rack production at UD. King Rack, Surabaya, Indonesia. This is an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The study sample used a total population of 12 workers. Data were taken in the form of primary data tested with the Spearman correlation test. The results of the analysis show that the majority of respondents graduated from elementary school and the majority of respondents' job satisfaction was high. However, majority of respondents' work motivation was moderate and the majority of respondents' work productivity was low. The results of the Spearman correlation analysis indicate a relationship between education and work productivity (correlation coefficient = 0.475) as well as work motivation and work productivity (coefficient correlation = 1.000). There was no relationship between job satisfaction and work productivity. To increase work productivity, daily standards for the number of racks to be produced by workers need to be set. Besides that, it is important to give praise and appreciation to the workers in order for them to produce racks that are above the work standard. Keywords: education, job satisfaction, work motivation, work productivity

Kinerja karyawan merupakan aspek penting dalam upaya pencapaian suatu tujuan. Pencapaian tujuan yang maksimal merupakan buah dari kinerja tim atau individu yang baik, begitu pula sebaliknya, kegagalan dalam mencapai sasaran yang telah dirumuskan juga adalah akibat dari kinerja individu atau tim yang tidak optimal. Faktor-faktor yang dapat menentukan terhadap kinerja individu yaitu motivasi kerja, kepuasan kerja, kepemimpinan, pengembangan karier, kompetensi, perilaku organisasi, sistem penghargaan/imbalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor faktor yang berhubungan dengan kinerja karyawan non medis di Rumah Sakit Syafira Pekanbaru Tahun 2020. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Cross Sectional atau potong lintang. Lokasi dan waktu penelitian adalah di Rumah Sakit Syafira Pekanbaru pada Bulan Januari sampai Juli 2020. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu 60 orang karyawan non medis di Rumah Sakit Syafira Pekanbaru. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu teknik random samplin. Hasil penelitian yaitu Motivasi kerja p value= 0.012, Kepemimpinan p value= 1, Kompetensi p value= 0, Pengembangan karir p value= 1, Sistem penghargaan/ Imbalan p value= 0.028. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara Kinerja karyawan dengan Motivasi kerja, Kompetensi dan Sistem Penghargaan/ imbalan dan Tidak terdapat hubungan antara Kinerja Karyawan Dengan Kepemimpinan dan Pengembangan karir    Employee performance is an important aspect in effort to achieve a goal.  Achieving the maximum goal is the result of a good team or individual performance, and vice versa. The failure to achieve the goals that have been formulated also is a result of individual or team performance that is not optimal.  Factors that can determine individual performance are work motivation, job satisfaction, leadership, career development, competence, organizational behavior, an honor/ reward system.  This study aims to determine the factors associated with the performance of non-medical employees in Pekanbaru Syafira Hospital in 2020. This type of research is a quantitative study with cross sectional design.  The location and time of the study were at Syafira Pekanbaru Hospital on January to July 2020. The sample of this research was 60 non-medical employees at Syafira Pekanbaru Hospital.  The sampling technique used is the random sampling technique.  The results of the research are work motivation p value = 0.012, leadership p value = 1, competence p value = 0, career development p value = 1, an honor/ reward system p value = 0.028.  It can be concluded that there is a relationship among employee performance with work motivation, competence and an honor / reward system and there is no relationship between employee performance with leadership and career development.
