The purpose of this study was to determine the production and income of Eel Fish and to analyze the marketing price and the factors that influence the marketing price of Eel Fish in Nokilalaki District Sigi Regency Central Sulawesi. The method used is a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods using the income formula and multiple linear regression formula. The results of this study are, the production of Eel Fish in October 2019 was 93 fish. The income from selling Eel Fish ranges from nominal Rp.600,000 to Rp. 2,500,000 per month. There are several factors that influence the marketing price of eel Fish they are, production costs, number of fish sold, distance of sales location, number of consumers, competitors, and basic income. There is a significant influence of the dependent variable (Marketing Price) with the independent variable (the six factors that influence). The significant influence percentage was 55.1% with the intertwined relationship seen from the value of R approaching 1 which was 0.742. Of all the factors, only the number of consumers (X4) significantly affected the marketing price of Eel Fish in Sopu Village Nokilallaki District Sigi Regency Central Sulawesi.

Purpose The aim of this research was to study collaborative practices with suppliers in multinational manufacturing companies operating in India and to develop a framework for collaboration with suppliers. Design/methodology/approach This study adopted a four-step mixed-methods approach that included qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative technique was used to explore the factors and develop a balanced scorecard-based (BSC – balanced scorecard) framework using them. Quantitative technique was used to validate the framework statistically and also by using fuzzy analytical hierarchy process using perception-based ranks given by practitioners. Findings The exploratory research resulted in 26 antecedents for collaboration with suppliers in supply chains. Out of these 26, only 19 were considered based on importance given by practitioners. Further, the identified antecedents were classified and mapped based on the perspectives of the BSC. The extended BSC adds business environment and partnership perspectives to existing BSC framework. Some of the important factors identified under these perspectives were transparency of transactions, long-term commitment and trust. The customer perspective was given the utmost importance by the practitioners. Research limitations/implications There are certain issues that may limit the completeness of the work in a global context. The number of organizations (21) and respondents (45) may also be insufficient to convey the complete knowledge embedded in the practice of the field. Originality/value The study provides practical insights about the factors affecting collaboration with suppliers. A BSC-based framework for collaboration with suppliers was also developed along with the associated importance of each perspective and factors under each perspective, which can prove to be of great value to academics and practitioners involved in relationship with suppliers in supply chain.

This study aims (i) to know the effect of production costs on the selling price of tilapia, (ii) how the costs are spent on fish production in fish hatchery activities at the Local Fish Seed Center (LFSC) in Cukan Lipai Village, Batang Alai Selatan District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. The method used is a case study, respondents in this study conducted interviews with employees of the Local Fish Seed Center (BBIL). The data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis, linear relationship equation between two or more independent variables so that the functional relationship between the dependent variable (Y) and the independent variable (XI, X2, Xn), X variable as the independent variable and Y variable as the dependent variable The results obtained a value (r²) of 0.374 which means that production costs have an influence on the selling price of 37.4%, in tilapia hatchery business in Cukan Lipai Village, Batang Alai Selatan District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. The influence of variable (X) is the production cost of variable (Y) selling price is 37.4%, while the remaining 62.6% can be influenced by other variables not included in the equation model

Factors affecting households’ choices to participate in markets are often not disaggregated by gender, leading to policies that are insensitive to women’s needs. Using qualitative and quantitative methods, the study analysed challenges faced by male and female-headed households in goat commercialisation in the semi-arid Msinga area of South Africa. The main constraints were poor condition of goats and mortality, high illiteracy rates of women, shortage of transport to take goats to the market and limited access to information. The study recommends that women be provided with greater market access and information and for the government to avail more attractive investment opportunities to reduce the use of goats as a store of wealth.

Although Sri Lanka made attempts to adopt policies of decentralization and democratic governance to enhance citizens’ trust, the efforts had yielded very little success. As such, this study attempts to assess the level of citizens’ trust in public institutions in the eastern province of Sri Lanka and explores the factors contributing to the decline of citizens’ trust in public institutions. Both qualitative and quantitative methods consisting of questionnaire survey, in-depth-interview and focus group discussion as data collection techniques were employed in this study. Overall, it was found that the people have little trust in the public institutions due to lack of awareness, discrimination in terms of ethnicity, undue delay, lack of modern facilities and political influence. Thus, it is paramount on the part of government to address these challenges to restore the trust among the citizens on these public institutions.

This study aims to address the current state of mechanical supporting industry in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) by approaching several factors affecting the industry for further solutions to its development in the coming years. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, we find that: (i) the HCMC mechanical industry has yet to satisfy the demands for development of other economic industries as a consequence of its simple products and its failure to manufacture machine tools and equipment in automatic production lines; (ii) the industry is mostly composed of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), featuring mainly imported inputs, outdated technologies, and poor quality management, thus causing the output products in large part to merely serve domestic consumption and disabling them to engage in the global supply chain; and (iii) some principal reasons comprise limited access to credit, modern technology, market, and information as well as other constraints to production infrastructure and human resources.

To support the significance of instructor readiness for the adoption of E-learning, it is necessary to examine the factors affecting instructors’ integration of Moodle into their English classrooms, as well as the students' perceptions of those who are learning English by using Moodle. This study had chosen to implement both qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis. The study's subjects comprised 25 lecturers and 150 students. The findings revealed that the lecturers from the University of Amman's School of English used Moodle as part of the English language teaching method. The majority of them used the option of document uploading and sharing function to give assignments to students and encouraged them to access and download the course materials outside of learning sessions to better enhance their competencies in English learning skills. Additionally, it was later discovered that the positive impacts of adopting Moodle during English lessons are as follows: Moodle promotes student-centered learning engagement, anytime-anywhere learning, simplifies course management, and mitigates the expense and time constraint of delivering lessons. The drawbacks of using Moodle in English classes are linked to technological problems, mainly regarding access to the Internet, inadequate professional development given to instructors, and Moodle's efficacy. Students exhibited favorable views regarding English learning by using Moodle as a platform. This is shown through their great computer self-efficacy, system engagement, and user satisfaction.

The paper attempts to define and measure factors affecting export of provinces/ cities in Vietnam, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. In particular, the former was conducted through in-depth interviews with 15 experts (including 3 academics, 7 export officials of Departments of Industry and Trade and 5 managers of export enterprises) in December 2018. The latter was performed using spatial regression model on secondary data of 63 provinces/cities from 2013 to 2017. The paper provides a new research methodology on export of Vietnam’s provinces/ cities (i.e. the spatial regression model). The empirical results show that there is a positive correlation between neighboring provinces/ cities in export activities, indicating that the good export performance of one province boosts that of its neighbors. The results also show that the export of Vietnam’s provinces/ cities is affected by GDP, import value, investment capital, and labor costs.
