Teaching skills are one of the skills that must be possessed by a teacher. Whether or not the pedagogical competence possessed by teachers can be seen from the quality of school performance. Supervision still tends to lead to inspection. So far, the implementation of academic supervision is considered effective. In order for the Academic Supervision to provide objective and detailed results, collaborative self-evaluation is carried out, namely peer evaluation to find teacher strengths that need to be maintained and deficiencies that must be corrected. This study aims to determine the effect of collaboration-based Academic Supervision model with Peer Evaluation Approach to Improve Pedagogical Competence and Quality of School Performance: The Role of Principal's Motivation as Moderation Variable. This research is a quantitative study with numerical data analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) assisted by the Smart PLS application. The results showed that Academic Supervision has an effect on Pedagogical Competence with a P-Value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Academic Supervision affects the Quality of Performance with a P value of 0.000 (p <0.05). motivation is able to moderate positively pedagogical competence with a P value of 0.032 (p <0.05). Motivation is not able to moderate supervision of the quality of performance with a P value of 0.138 (p> 0.05). Supervision is able to explain the Pedagogical Competence (Y1) variable of 69.4%. Supervision is able to explain the Performance Quality variable (Y2) of 40.1%. The principal should be able to periodically monitor the learning carried out by the teacher in the classroom, so that the principal knows the problems faced by the teacher in learning. Researchers who want to research further on this topic can use other variables and a wider sample.

Background: Herpes zoster (HZ) and postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) have a significant impact on quality of life. PHN is often chronic and difficult to treat. Dermatologists have always been involved in making the diagnosis of these conditions and, most recently, teaching the need for early antiviral therapy. Objective: With the introduction of a new vaccine, HZ and its difficult-to-treat complication PHN can be prevented or minimized. Preventive medicine is important and has been supported by dermatologists with sun safety programs. Patients receiving biologics are at increased risk of developing zoster. Conclusion: Dermatologists should embrace zoster vaccination and recommend routine vaccination of immunocompetent individuals > age 60 years, as well as patients of any age who are starting immunosuppressants, including biologics. Given that individuals over age 50 years are at risk for PHN and studies have shown that the vaccine's immunogenicity and safety are maintained in individuals age 50 to 59 years, vaccination in this age group may be considered. Some dermatologists may consider vaccinating their own patients, but most will likely recommend that vaccination be performed by their patients' primary care physicians.

The correlation between translation as an objective field and psychological characteristics has produced various psychological and translational interrogations. To investigate the role of the translator’s personality in identifying the level of irrationality beliefs, university instructors are the corpus of the present study. After using statistical means SPSS, the results of instructors of males and females were observed to advocate for an active role of the translator in some instances. The present study employed a questionnaire that is consisted of thirty-five paragraphs measures the individual's attitude towards himself and his or her family that behaves irrationally in the performance and functions. Through the results of this study, which this study found that irrational thoughts are widespread among male and female teachers. This research also provided details of making an empirical contribution to the research in translation. Thus, the seriousness of irrational thoughts, as it is one of the reasons for the incompatibility and its seriousness on translation. This led to the weakness of the translation process, which caused the distraction of the mind to broadcast the hostile rumour that managed to exploit confusion in the translation.

Dynamic compliance (Cdyn) was measured at different frequencies (breaths/min) in 30 nonsmoking males and females aged 30–59 yr. In those aged 30–49 yr Cydn at 90 breaths/min was significantly higher than at 15 breaths/min while those aged 50–59 yr showed no significant difference. Assuming an inertance of 0.01 cmH2O/l per s-2, and a sinusoidal breathing frequency, Cydn at 60 and 90 breaths/min was corrected for inertia. In the 30–49 yr age group corrected Cydn did not change with increasing frequency of breathing whereas in the 50–59 yr age group Cydn at 15 breaths/min was significantly higher than at 90 breaths/min (P is less than 0.05). In this age group, four of eight subjects were frequency dependent when corrected for inertia. These findings indicate that inertia influences Cydn at breathing frequencies of 60 per min and above. Unless this is taken into account, frequency dependence of compliance may be missed. The results also indicate that frequency dependence of compliance is normal in some older individuals but is not normal in the younger age group.

815 Background: The National Cancer Institute defines palliative care as care given to improve the quality of life (QOL) for patients with life threatening diseases. The role of palliative care (PC) within oncology is ever evolving and as more studies are being conducted, its role in the improvement of QOL for patients is being widely recognized. Patients undergoing cytoreductive surgery (CRS) are at a higher risk for morbidity and mortality and often have severe post-operative symptoms that can worsen their QOL. Here we studied the factors affecting PC consult in order to better overcome them. Methods: We queried our Electronic Medical Record EPIC for a list of patients who underwent cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC or HITEC in the hospital from April 2016-April 2019. Data was manually extracted and patients who didn’t meet our criteria were excluded. Patients were divided on the basis of palliative care consults and differences between the groups were analyzed. Odds ratios(OR) with p-value 0.05 and confidence interval (CI) 95% were calculated. Results: We identified 55 patients of whom 34 met our inclusion criteria, 11 male and 23 female with an average age of 56.3 years at the time of diagnosis. 8 patients (23%) had PC; more than 1 comorbidity and age > 40 was associated with a higher likelihood of PC (OR:0.12; CI:0.02-0.76; p:0.02) and (OR: 0.015; CI: 0.0007-0.3029; P: 0.006) respectively. Gender, insurance type and marital status did not corelate with PC. Mean age (58.1 vs 55.7) showed a trend towards higher rates of PC in older population. Conclusions: Approximately one quarter of patients undergoing CRS with HIPEC had a concurrent PC consult. Though this is better than the national average of 11-16%, it continues to be a very small number. PC is not only an end of life service, in fact studies have shown early consultations lead to higher patient satisfaction, improved QOL and better communication. Efforts must be made to engage PC early in the course of treatment and recognize it as an integral part of cancer care.

Some human literature suggests a possible role of endocrine disruptors (EDs) exposure in thyroid cancer (TC) development. We investigated TC incidence in selected Italian National Priority Contaminated Sites (NPCS) with documented presence of EDs considered thyroid carcinogens. Adjusted Standardized Incidence Ratios (SIRs), with their 90% confidence intervals, were computed by gender, and age-specific groups (aged 15–39 years, and 40 years or over) for each NPCS in the period 2006 to 2013. In the age group of 15–39 years, a significant excess of TC risk was found in two NPCSs in males; non-significant excess risks were observed in four NPCSs in males, and in five in females. In the age group of 40 years and over, significant excess risks were found in six NPCSs in males and in seven NPCSs in females; non-significant excess risks were identified in two NPCSs in males and females. The findings of several excesses in incidence, mainly observed in adults aged 40 years or over, are suggestive of a possible adverse effect associated with residence in NPCSs, even if a role of other factors cannot be excluded, due to the adoption of an ecological study design. Future analytical studies are needed to clarify if EDs are a TC risk factor for individuals living in NPCSs.

This review analyses existing literature, including authors' own data, describing the results of clinical trials which assess safety and efficacy of insulin Glargine (Lantus?) in children and adolescents, as well as peculiar features of T1D management in this age group, including the challenge of reducing the rate of hypoglycemia while maintaining adequate glycemic control. The article also discusses various issues in T1D management in children and adolescents, including the role of glycemic control in development of vascular complications, hypoglycemia and the variability of glycemia. The data confirm the high efficacy of Lantus insulin in respect to metabolic control, including the decrease in the incidence of hypoglycemia and in variability of glycemic profile, the safety of its clinical use in treatment of children, including young children, and adolescents, as well as its ability to improve the quality of life for patients and their parents.
