The application of appropriate technology in the form of electric stirrer and storefront of donut product storagehas been implemented appropriately and targeted to the business partner of Roti Sari and Dian Jaya Bakery Businesslocated in Kupang city. Until now the process of stirring, pengulenan or pengenyalan on household industry partners arestill done manually with simple equipment. In order to increase the added value and selling value of donut cake products,baking cookies, Bolu cake, it is necessary to synergy between universities with partners in the form of application ofappropriate technology for the development of science and technology. The method of this program is the provision ofmaterials, design and manufacture of tools, demonstration tools and equipment by the team, simulation tools, specialcounseling at the location of partners and suggestions as a follow-up in the endurance of production and assistanceactivities. This community service offering provides added value of production in terms of time and speed in massproduction, hygiene and clean. Increase the product value in quality or quality and quantity quantity is estimated from 3kg - 5 kg of raw material to 10 kg - 15 kg per cycle of production. Product demand increased after this activity. productionper day from 10 kg to 20 kg of wheat raw material after baking dough, processed, fried, sliced, and packed into 400 - 600donuts and fried bread Rp. 800 - 2,000.00 per seed. Interview results in partners explain this product in a day generaterevenue Rp. 600,000.00. Electrical stirrer and storefront of donut product storage help to overcome problems to partners

Community Partnership Program in small home industry of making fish floss brand "Savitri" and "Tiaras" inKupang city in the form of application of electric centrifugation filter model has been implemented. One of the problemsin the production of Savitri and Tiaras fish floss is that there is still a lot of oil in the frying product which is only drainedon a simple sieve and then placed for some time on traditional tools of filter and paper that can cause low quality and lowquality, so it is necessary to reduce the oil yield frying fish floss product. In order to increase the added value and sellingvalue of the products, it is necessary synergy between Universities and Partners in the form of application of the results ofscience and technology to the public. The main components of the composer of the versatile filter are the cylindrical plateas the bucket of the filter, the cylinder filter, the electric dynamo as the centrifuge system rotator and the load-bearingconstruction. The method of this program is the provision of materials, design and manufacture of tools, demonstrationtools and the provision of a versatile filter cylinder system centrifuge model by the team, simulation tools, specialcounseling at the location of partners and suggestions as a follow-up in the endurance of production. The output of thisprogram can provide added value in the form of the use of this tool can improve labor efficiency, increase productivitypartners by producing 40 kg to 50 kg raw material, raw fish marlin, fish meat after cleaning, processed, fried, in andpacked into 80-100 packs of fish floss with the price of Rp. 40,000.00 per package weighing 250 grams. With estimatedpartners will earn a profit of Rp 3,200,000 - 4,000,000.00 per production or 12,800,000.00 - 16,000,000.00 per month incash and consumptions, as well as the abundance of non-greasy, clean and hybrid fish products

Science for Society in Small Industries of Corn Crackers Kelimutu Sikumana Kota Kupang in the form ofapplication of slicer has been implemented, one of the problems in the production of Kelimutu corn cracker is still a lot ofoil in frying product which only drained on simple sieve and placed some time above cardboard that can cause loweringquality and low hygiene, so it is necessary to do the reduction of frying oil products corn chips cracker. In order toincrease the added value and selling value of the product, it is necessary to synergy between Universities and Partners inthe form of science and technology for the community. The main constituent component of a slicer is a cylinder plate as abucket of a slicer, a cylinder slicer, an electric dynamo as a centrifuge system rotating motor and a load-bearingconstruction. The method of this program is the provision of materials, design and manufacture of tools, demonstrationtools and the provision of a versatile cylinder system centrifuge model by team, tool simulation, special counseling atpartner sites and suggestions as follow-up in production endurance. The output of this program can give the added valueof production increase from 20 kg-30 kg of raw material to 40 kg - 50 kg,  corn raw material after cooking, dried, fried,processed and packed into 60 - 100 packs per 500 g with price Rp . 15,000.00 per pack. Or equivalent Rp. 900,000.00 to Rp1,500,000.00 per production in the form of cash and consumptions, and non-greasy, clean, hybrid corn chip crackers

Kebutuhan akan ketersediaan air bersih menjadi tantangan di pedesaan, terutama desa yang belum dijangkau oleh Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM). Salah satu desa yang mengalami masalah ketersediaan air bersih adalah Desa Tanjung Selamat Selamat, Kabupaten deli Serdang. Masyarakat di desa ini hanya mengandalkan air tanah yang berasal dari sumur bor pribadi. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah kekeruhan air relatif tinggi, dan tingkat sterilisasi air juga sangat rendah  karena mengandung mikro organisme penyebab penyakit seperti disentri, tipus diare dan sebagainya. Usaha untuk membersihkan air menggunakan asam sitrat sudah dilakukan tetapi tingkat kekeruhan air masih diatas ambang batas. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini diperlukan teknologi tepat guna pengolah air  mengahasilkan  air bersih. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah merancang dan menerapkan teknologi untuk mengolah bahan baku air menjadi air besih untuk konsumsi masyarakat. Pengabdiankepada masyarakat berupa penerapan teknologi  penjernihan air dengan bantuan tenaga surya dan antimikroba dengan bantuan tenaga surya telah dilaksanakan di Perumahan Tanjung Selamat Deli Serdang Tahun 2019. Langkah yang dilakukan adalah survey keberadaan baku air, uji laboratorium mikroba dan uji derajat keasaman. Kualitas baku air sebelum dilaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tergolong rendah karena memiliki tingkat kekeruhan tinggi, warna kekuningan, derajat keasaman 6, 23 dan mengandung bakteri coliform E.coli, sehingga membutuhkan pengolahan sebelum digunakan menjadi bahan baku air untuk konsumsi domestik dan air minum. Penerapan teknologi tepat guna penjernih dengan bantuan panel surya mampu mengubah air baku yang  menjadi air yang jernih, memilki derajat keasaman 8,6 dan bebas bakteri E.coli. Air yang dihasilkan juga bersifat alkali sehingga baik untuk konsumsi domestik. Masyarakat pengguna air sangat merasakan manfaat teknologi tepat guna penjernih air yang dikembangkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini. Kata kunci: Air bersih, Alat penjernih air, Bebas kekruhan,  Pengabdian kepada masyarakat, Teknologi tepat guna.     Abstract The need for clean water is a challenge in rural areas, especially villages that have not yet been reached by the Regional Water Company (Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum, PDAM). One of the villages experiencing problems with the availability of clean water is Tanjung Selamat Housing Village, Deli Serdang Regency. The people in this village rely solely on ground water that comes from private bore wells. The problem faced is that the water is relatively high in turbidity, and the level of water sterilization is also very low because it contains micro-organisms that cause disease such as dysentery, typhoid diarrhea and so on. An efforts to clean water using citrate have been made but the level of turbidity of the water is still above the threshold. To overcome this problem, appropriate technology is needed for water treatment to produce clean water. The purpose of this activity is to design and implement a technology to process raw water into clean water for public consumption. A design of antimicrobial water purification set with the help of solar power has been provided in Tanjung Selamat Deli Serdang Housing in 2019. The steps taken are surveying the existence of water standards, microbial laboratory testing and acidity test. Low quality raw water has obtained in the target village where the water is high turbidity level, yellowish color, acidity level 6, 23 and contains coliform E.coli bacteria, so it requires processing before it is used as raw material for domestic purposes and drinking water. The application of purifying technology with the help of solar panels is able to convert raw water into clear water, has an acidity of 8.6 and is free of E. coli bacteria. The water produced is also alkaline so it is good for domestic consumption. Water user communities really feel the benefits of appropriate water purification technology developed in community service activities.   Keywords: Appropriate technology, Clean water, Community service, Turbidit-free, Water purification equipment.

Gombengsari Village is one of the villages in Banyuwangi that has promising coffee potential, but the potential for coffee still lacks in the innovation of processed coffee products. One change that can be done is training and making Herbal Coffee. This training and manufacturing aim to elevate local Banyuwangi coffee and add high added value to coffee products. The method used is counselling and training. Counselling aims to introduce the benefits and derivative products of herbal coffee, while the practice seeks to demonstrate how to make herbal coffee from the initial process to the packaging process. While the final stage is monitoring, which aims to evaluate and provide solutions to problems encountered in the coffee-making process.The results of community service show that the products produced from instant herbal coffee have distinctive features, including the taste and efficacy provided with affordable raw material prices, the application of instant herbal coffee production technology had a positive impact on the development of the creative, social and economic sectors In other sectors, the revenue generated by making herbal coffee was able to pay all costs incurred and be able to produce promising profits.

<span class="ShortAbstract"><em><span>This community service aims to improve tour guides’ skills in delivering environmental education in English and enhance their environmental awareness attitude. The activity implementation method is direct method from preparation, implementation, evaluation, and discussion of follow-up efforts. The activity results indicate that the activity run well in accordance with the pre-determined targets and outcomes. The activity conducted provides an illustration that the training generates added value in environmental education conveyed in English to the visitors as well as to the tour guides in their attitude toward the environment. Follow-up efforts to be executed next year include creating a profile of each tree around the Elo River and environmental-themed photo spots.</span></em></span>

<p>In order to meet households energy needs, one of the groundbreaking efforts that needs to be done is to implement appropriate technology training in utilization of cow manure waste by recycling it into biogas and organic fertilizer. Animal husbandry in Bambankerep Sub-District of Ngaliyan, Semarang City, are sufficiently developed, however, the use of livestock manure has not been optimal, whereas livestock manure can be used as raw material to produce renewable energy in the form of biogas and organic fertilizer. Furthermore, Limited knowledge and skills of the people in Bambankerep sub-district in the utilization of cow manure waste by recycling it into biogas and organic fertilizer have become the main problem. Steps performed in Community service programs are as follow (1) Socialization of recycling livestock waste into a blessing; (2) training, (3) Monitoring and outreaching. The impact generated from this community service programs, among others are: (1) raising public awareness in the utilization of cow manure waste for biogas alternative energy, (2) increasing knowledge and skills of people in processing cow manure into energy and fertilizer, (3) growing number of business groups in cow manure organic fertilizer processing that are expected can improve the welfare of the people in Bambankerep sub-district, Mijen, Semarang City.</p><p> </p><p>Dalam rangka pemenuhan keperluan energi rumah tangga, salah satu upaya terobosan yang perlu dilakukan adalah melaksanakan pelatihan teknologi tepat guna pemanfaatan limbah kotoran sapi menjadi biogas dan pupuk organik. Usaha peternakan di Kelurahan Bambankerep, Ngaliyan Semarang cukup berkembang, tapi pemanfaatan kotoran ternak selama ini belum optimal, padahal kotoran ternak dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan baku untuk menghasilkan energi terbarukan dalam bentuk biogas dan pupuk organik. Keterbatasannya pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dimiliki masyarakat di Kelurahan Bambankerep mengolah limbah kotoran sapai menjadi biogas dan pupuk organik menjadi permasalahn utama. Tahapan program pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah: (1) Sosialisai pemanfaatan limbah kotoran hewan menjadi berkah; (2) pelatihan; (3) Monitoring dan Pendampingan. Dampak yang dihasilkan dari program pengabdian masyarakat ini antara lain: (1) meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan limbah kotoran sapi untuk energi alternatif biogas, (2) meningkatnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan masyarakat bidang pengolahan kotoran sapi menjadi energi dan pupuk, (3) tumbuhnya kelompok usaha pengolahan pupuk organik dari kotoran sapi sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat Kelurahan Bambankerep Ngaliyan Semarang.</p>

Validation of the EBD-SIM (evidence-based design-simulation) framework, a conceptual framework developed to integrate the use of lighting simulation in the EBD process, suggested that EBD’s post-occupancy evaluation (POE) should be conducted more frequently. A follow-up field study was designed for subjective–objective results implementation in the EBD process using lighting simulation tools. In this real-time case study, the visual comfort of the occupants was evaluated. The visual comfort analysis data were collected via simulations and questionnaires for subjective visual comfort perceptions. The follow-up study, conducted in June, confirmed the results of the original study, conducted in October, but additionally found correlations with annual performance metrics. This study shows that, at least for the variables related to daylight, a POE needs to be conducted at different times of the year to obtain a more comprehensive insight into the users’ perception of the lit environment.
