Complementary therapy has been applied in various regions to accompany conventional / medical therapy. Pregnant women are a group that is encouraged to take advantage of complementary therapy or medicine in dealing with their perceived complaints, because complementary therapy can avoid the side effects of conventional medicine and have great control over their own health. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of pregnant women about complementary therapies in pregnancy. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. Primary data collection research using a questionnaire. The population in this study were all pregnant women at PuskesmasPutri Ayu Jambi City with a sample of 88 people. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. Data analysis was carried out by univariate. From the results of the research on the perceptions of pregnant women about complementary therapies in pregnancy, it was concluded that most pregnant women had a positive perception, namely 73.3%. The results of this study are expected to contribute to increasing the knowledge of pregnant women about complementary therapies that are safe for pregnant women, so that pregnant women can achieve optimal health by utilizing non-pharmacological therapies and the fetus can grow healthy

<p>Hypertension in pregnancy often progresses to pre-eclampsia as one of the biggest contributors to maternal mortality. Mineral and nutritional factors have an important role in the etiology of hypertension in pregnancy, especially pre-eclampsia. Mineral factors associated with hypertension are calcium. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of calcium levels with the incidence of hypertension in pregnancy. This study uses a cross-sectional study design that measures / observes independent variables (calcium levels) with dependent variables (hypertension in pregnancy). The number of samples was 43 trimester II pregnant women taken by consecutive sampling technique. This study uses primary data by examining blood pressure and calcium levels in the blood serum of pregnant women. Univariate analysis results showed 30% of pregnant women experience hypertension in pregnancy, and 44% of pregnant women have insufficient calcium levels. The results of calcium levels and the incidence of hypertension in second trimester pregnant women (p value 0,000).the bivariate analysis prove that there is a significant correlation between maternal blood</p>

Anxiety is a feeling of discomfort, worry about something unclear and accompanied by autonomic symptoms. Murottal Al-Quran therapy is a complementary therapy with the most widely used Al-Qur'an media. This study aims to analyze the effect of the murottal Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mulk and Al-Hasyr on the anxiety of medical students of Universitas Sriwijaya. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a cross-sectional approach with one group pre-post test design which was conducted from July to December 2020 at homes through Zoom meeting application. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. Data in the form of primary data using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) questionnaire.Primary data were collected using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) questionnaire before and after receiving the Murottal Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mulk and Al-Hasyr for 7 consecutive days. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test was performed on the data, then analyzed with Paired t-test or Wilcoxon test using SPSS device. The Wilcoxon test results showed significant results of murottal Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mulk and Al-Hasyr on anxiety (p = 0.000) in medical students. There is an effect of murottal Al-Qur’an surah Al-Mulk and Al-Hasyr on anxiety among medical students of Universitas Sriwijaya.

Abstract Background : At the beginning of a pregnancy the mother experiences various processes of transition or adaptation regarding changes in herself, so that she really needs support from her environment. Lack of social support can worsen the physiological complaints of pregnant women including Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy (NVP). Complaints of nausea and vomiting can affect the mother in carrying out daily activities, affect the mother's social situation with the environment and cause stress. Therefore, it is important to research the relationship between social support and the degree of nausea and vomiting in first and second-trimester pregnant women. Method : This research method is observational analytic with cross sectional research design. Sampling used the total sampling method with the criteria of pregnant women who had complaints of nausea and vomiting. Collecting data using primary data using a 24-hour PUQE questionnaire that measures the duration and frequency of nausea and vomiting and the MSPSS questionnaire measuring social support. The data collected were analyzed using the Spearman test (p<0.15). Results : Out of 47 respondents, 34 pregnant women (72.3%) received high social support. Besides that, 24 out of 47 respondents (51.1%) experienced moderate degree of NVP. In this study, there were no respondents who experienced severe degree of NVP. Spearman test analysis results obtained p= 0.833 or p>0.15. Conclusion : There is no relationship between social support with NVP in first and second trimester of pregnancy.

The high number of pregnant women who do not breast care during pregnancy, after childbirth will then encountered problems that harm the mother and the baby. The aim of research to find out if there is a relationship between breast care expenditure colostrum in the third trimester of pregnancy. The research method using the analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The primary data obtained with tools questionnaire answered by all respondents amounted to 29 people. Sampling technique using total sampling, data analysis techniques using Chi-Square. The results of the analysis we found the majority of respondents do breast care, and the majority of respondents spending colostrum. P values obtained value 0,002 <0,05 so Ho rejected, so that there is a very close relationship between breast care expenditure colostrum in the third trimester of pregnancy. The conclusion of this study there is a very close relationship between breast care expenditure colostrum in the third trimester of pregnancy on Poskesdes Kampung Baru. Expected health workers provide counseling to pregnant women about breast care so that colostrum can get out.

The impact of the incidence of anemia in pregnant women who have less knowledge during pregnancy are abortion, preterm labor, fetal and uterine disorders, low birth weight (LBW), and high maternal mortality. This study aimed to study the relationship between the level of knowledge with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Tanjung Kemuning Community Health Center Kaur District. This type of research was Descriptive Correlation and the design used was Cross Sectional. The data in this study used the primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires. The population in this study was all pregnant women who checked pregnancy and did not check their pregnancy at Tanjung Kemuning Community Health Center of Kaur Regency from January to June 2016 as many as 66 pregnant women. Sampling technique are Total Sampling and obtained sampel counted 35 respondents. Data analysis was done by univariate and bivariate analysis with Chi-Square test and to know closeness using Contingency Coefficient (χ2) statistic test. The result of the research showed that there were 14 respondents (40.0%) of good knowledge, and 19 respondents (54,3%) did not experience anemia. There was a significant relationship between knowledge with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in working area of Tanjung Kemuning Community  Health  Center Kaur District with a close category. Suggestion for Tanjung Kemuning  Community  Health Center Kaur District                   to increase the intake of iron nutrition in pregnant women by doing  health promotion about  anemia  and giving  iron  tablets  to pregnant  woman. Keywords : anemia, knowledge, pregnant women

Basic Health Research Results (Riskesdas) conducted by the Ministry of Health shows that the coverage of K4 during the last 3 years in 2010–2013 is the year 2010 by 86.85% and the year 2013 of 87.48%. The lack of utilization of ANC by pregnant women is associated with many factors, one of which is the lack of awareness of pregnant women about the importance of pregnancy care. The purpose of this study analyzed the influence of awareness of the situation of pregnant women with the frequency of antenatal visits. The research method was analytic observational with cross sectional  study design. The study sample was 38 pregnant women who lived in the working are at waru public health center’s. The sampling technique using simple random sampling. Data collection using primary data by questionnaire and secondary data with the instrument KIA book. Data were processed and analyzed by using frequency distribution and inferential analyze of linier regression with a significance level of 5% (p = 0.05). The results of linear regression analysis in pregnant women showed significant value of β 0.684 (β > 0.500), that the awareness of the situation had an effect on the frequency of antenatal care. A good situation awareness is a necessary process to influence the decision to act, it is a pregnancy test and can be seen the frequency of antenatal care of a pregnant woman. This conclusion Waru public health center’s is a health clinic located in the highlands. Still less maximal antenatal care visits because of the support and access to antenatal care. It is suggested to raise awareness of pregnant women situation through family involvement, husband as reinforcement factor in support of improvement of antenatal care examination.

Determinants of pregnancy hypertensive disorders in Indonesia PurposeThis study aimed to assess the determinant factors of gestational hypertension (HDP) in Indonesia.MethodsThis research was an observational analytic study using a cross-sectional design. Sampling was calculated using consecutive sampling technique. The subjects were all pregnant women aged 15-54 years old in 33 provinces in Indonesia and 9024 women were selected as subjects. Chi-square and binomial regression tests were used to analyze the determinants of HDP to see the value of the Ratio Prevalence (RP). ResultsThe prevalence of hypertension among pregnant women was 6.18% (558 people) after being adjusted with external variables which were potentially confounders. The highest of hypertension was found in West Java with 59 pregnant women (10.57%). Overweight and chronic hypertension were related to hypertensive disorders in pregnancy with RP: 2.13 (95% CI: 1.80-2.51); and in overweight with RP: 4.36 (95% CI: 3.6-5.26) in hypertension assessments. The use of contraceptives was not a risk factor for hypertensive disorders in Indonesia with RP 0.92 (95% CI: 0.76-1.10). ConclusionOverweight and chronic hypertension are risk factors for the incidence of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy in Indonesia.

Every pregnant woman in the first trimester experiences nausea and vomiting. This situation is natural and often occurs in pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. Nausea usually occurs in the morning, this case can occur almost 50% of pregnant wowen and many occur at 6-12 weeks. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women on how to cope with vomiting nausea in pregnancy trimester 1 in the work area of ​​Payung Sekaki health center in Pekanbaru. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross sectional, so that the number of samples obtained was 71 respondents. Sampling used consecutive sampling technique, nominal and ordinal measuring scales, questionnaire research instruments and univariate and bivariate data collection. Based on the results of the chi square test obtained the knowledge variable is related to how to overcome nausea and vomiting with p = 0.008 where the value of α <0.1 then, Ha accepted means there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women on how to cope with nausea vomiting while the variable obtained p=0,000 where the value of α<0,1 in the working area of ​​payung sekaki health center in Pekanbaru in 2019. Advised to puskesmas payung sekaki pekanbaru to try to increase public knowledge abaout nausea vomiting in pregnancy and the attitude of pregnant women to overcome nause and vomiting. By providing counseling to pregnant women abaout nausea and vomiting in pregnancy.

Complementary therapy in health care is a non-conventional treatment aimed at increasing the degree of public health. The terpi includes promotional, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative efforts that have proven their quality of safety, and effectiveness based on research and science (Evidence Based Medicine). In complementary therapy, the therapist treats various diseases or complaints using traditional techniques and is not done by surgery and drugs or pharmaceutical products, but by utilizing various types of therapy and herbs.The use of complementary therapies in the field of midwifery must be proven safe by research. Pregnant women are a group that is recommended to take advantage of complementary therapy or medicine in dealing with perceived complaints, because complementary therapy can avoid the side effects of conventional medicine and have great control over their own health. Although traditional / complementary medicine is relatively safer, it does not mean that it does not pose a risk, therefore pregnant women must have adequate knowledge about the use of safe complementary therapies during pregnancy.Health education on complementary therapies in pregnancy is provided by extension methods when pregnant women carry out motherhood classes in the working area of Puskesmas Putri Ayu, Jambi City. This activity was carried out in conjunction with the clinical practice of students of D III Midwifery Stikes Baiturrahim Jambi.

Rapid development of global worldwide has been happening on technology, information, science and health technology including reproduction health have impacted on a very tight competition in Health Sector. Recently, the society has required quality of service, safety, comfortable and reasonable price. That is why a midwife is requested to be ready and able to respond quickly and anticipate modernization and satisfy the customers. This research aims to figure out the correlation of the quality of antenatal care (ANC) treatment and the level of clients’ satisfaction at BPM Hj. Elsye Agustin in Tasikmalaya. Data sampling technique has applied total sampling with cross sectional approach method. And data collection is primary data. Primary data is the data taken directly from the respondents which has been done by the researcher itself. Based on the result of the research, the quality of ANC treatment at BPM Hj. Elsye Agustin is good (66.3%), it explains that ANC treatment has oriented to the pregnancy needs. Pregnant women who have received pregnancy treatment at BPM Hj. Elsye Agustin are satisfied (71.4%) indicating that the expectation of pregnant women to get a satisfied treatment has been fulfilled. The correlation of the quality of ANC treatment and the clients satisfaction at BPM Hj. Elsye Agustin has identified p-value of 0.000 indicating that the clients/pregnant women are satisfied with ANC treament.Keywords: quality, antenatal care treatment, customers‟satisfaction
