       This study aims to determine an alternative development strategy swamp buffalo in the region of Hulu Sungai Utara, South Borneo. This study uses survey method participation premises observation techniques, followed by analysis of the LFA (Logical Framework Approach). The results showed strategy development swamp buffalo in the Sapala Village Paminggir Districts namely increasing the use of appropriate technologies, held a contest races swamp buffalo, increase community participation skills, the role of extension workers and government, guidance / counseling from relevant agencies, increase capital, improve working relationships operation between businesses, farms made close to transport links, as well as improving land use with good breeding, and improve institutional performance.

Shallot plant has a good prospect to be developed if farmers have a desirability and ability to cultivate it. The purpose of this study was to identify the internal and external environment and to formulate a shallot farming development strategy. The research used a survey method located in Sungai Geringging Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency and was selected 40 farmers as respondents. The data were analyzed using IFE, EFE and the SWOT. The results of external opportunities showed that Kampar Regency is a center for shallot cultivation, while fluctuations in the selling price of production were considered a threat factor. The use of the improved yielding seed was a strength, and a weakness was the transportation facility. The IE matrix indicated that the shallot farming is in cell III, so that it can carry out market penetration strategies and product development. The SWOT matrix showed that farming could carry out the WO (Weaknesses-Opportunities) strategy, namely with increasing optimally business capabilities related to capital loans, using applied technology through training.  It requires the role of the government in accessing modern markets and increasing the ability of farmers to do business through information technology facilities and regional autonomy policies.

This study discusses how the sustainability tourism development strategy in every regency be able to improve the social welfare of local communities. The decentralization program has given freedom and policy to enhance the role of regional tourism to be more competitive. This study is using qualitative methods to be able to explore the empiric phenomenon of deeper problems that expected to be used as a reference for the strategy development of regional tourism applied in global and digital era, which is very competitive and professional through the strategy of well structure and systematic tourism program to be effective and efficient.

ABSTRACTThe implementation of regional autonomy aims to optimize its resources so that the community welfare and employment increased accompanied by equitable distribution of the fruits of development. In East Sumba district, one of the potential sectors are agriculture, particularly in the livestock sector. However, management at livestock subsector still experiencing various obstacles, so that development objectives have not been fully achieved. The purpose of this study is to (1) analyzing the potential and role of the livestock sector to the economic development in East Sumba district, and (2) formulating alternative development strategy of the livestock sector in order to boost the economy in East Sumba District. The analysis tool used is LQ (Location Quotient), SSA (Shift Share Analysis), and analysis of SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat). The results of this study indicate that the livestock sector is able to contribute or role for the economy as seen from its ability to meet the growing demand from both inside and outside the territory of East Sumba district. Strategy development of the livestock subsector in East Sumba district are: (1) the provision of infrastructure (roads into the center of the product of the livestock, electricity, water, and financial institutions, (2) the procurement of feed industry and processing of livestock, and (3) enforcement of the rules (laws and customs) pertaining to the establishment of development centers, management of communal land, livestock inter-island trade and other supporting institutions. Therefore, (i) intensification of livestock raising is required to provide adequate food and promoting the availability of infrastructure for the survival of farms, (ii) required formal enforcement (enforcement problem of theft of livestock) andinformal (restriction of the number of animals in a custom implementation of activities) to support the development of livestock for improving the welfare of society.

<p>This research aim was to formulate priority of strategy development the role of agriculture extension agent in Banten. To determine the priority of strategy development the role of agriculture extension agent used SWOT and AHP. Result of research indicated that the priority of development Strategy of role the agriculture extension agent in Banten were: (1) Improving the quality of human resouces of extension agent by diklat from other institution to get the ability, knowledge, and skill; (2) Improving of quality of counselling and cooperation with the relevant institution by the existence of fundamental duty clarity and function; (3) Product marketing competitive agriculture by maximizing role of group of farmer; (4) Optimalization of agriculture development with the guarantee of invitation regulation; and (5) Exploiting technology to support the agriculture extinsion program.</p><p>Keywords: strategy, role, development, agriculture extension agent</p>

       Swamp buffalo in South Kalimantan is a potential commodity in terms of providing meat because its ability to digest crude fiber is better than cattle with low quality feed conditions, and has the ability to reproduce over a wide range from wet areas to relatively dry areas. The study was conducted in the North Hulu Sungai regency of South Kalimantan with the aim of studying the potential of swamp buffalo maintenance areas, assessing the constraints and impacts of swamp buffalo development efforts, determining the logic of the relationship between the problem of swamp buffalo development, compiling a Logical Framework Approach for problem solving (solution) the development of swamp buffalo, making the right strategy for the development of swamp buffaloes that involve the participation of farmers, the private sector, banks, local governments, and higher education institutions on an ongoing basis. Research design with descriptive and participatory methods with LQ analysis techniques, analysis of regional potential, and Logical Framework Analysis (LFA). The results show that swamp agroecological zones are very beneficial for swamp buffalo cultivation, the strategic role of meat producers, labor, sources of income, advocates of sources of animal protein, sources of seeds, tourist attraction, and development of local wisdom. Comparing between the LQ value of 2.327 and the value of livestock density, the HSU District is the base for developing swamp buffalo cattle. The strategy model of swamp buffalo development in HSU District is to increase the use of appropriate technology, promotion through typical Kal-Sel swamp buffalo tourism events, improve: the role of skilled communities, the role of extension agents and the government, increase capital and cooperative relations between business actors, locations cultivation close to transportation routes, regulating land use, and improving institutional performance

The research aims to : 1. Knowing the real rice management by Kubu Raya District Government in increasing rice production. 2. Identifying factors external environment into opportunities and threats management of real rice and internal environmental factors are the strength and weaknesses of the management of real rice. 3. Formulate alternative strategies that can be implemented according to the manager of the rice area real environmental conditions. 4. Analyzing priority management strategies that can be implemented in accordance with the environmental conditions of real rice area . Benefits of this research are : 1. As an input for the management of real rice in Kubu Raya District to be considered in carrying on their business in the face of environmental changes occur real rice. 2. The research was conducted in the village of Kuala Foreman A B District Overseer Kuala Kubu Raya district of West Kalimantan Province and held for about 2 months. Method used was a survey method and included in the descriptive study. The population in this study are all stakeholders involved in the system of rice agribusiness. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, which determine directly or selecting respondents deliberately . The results of this study are : SWOT analysis matrix shows the internal - external strategic factors obtained is : SO the value of 3,2748 , with a value of 3,0448 ST, WO and WT with a value of 2.5888 with a value of 2.3588. Buffaloes is performance and potensial has ideal as meat-producing livestock, but the population has declined each year. The purpose of this research was to analyze performance and development strategy of swamp buffalo in Serang District. The resarch metodology was using the Body Condition Score (BCS) system and the analysis of Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT). The research was conducted in Serang District with a survey method, observation and in-depth interviews to 50 farmers, with the snowball sampling, and reinforced with secondary data from the instance relevant. The research location was determined by purposive sampling. Data obtained from 36 buffaloes randomly with the range of age before and after sexual maturity with a different sex, through direct observation using a frame-size Body Condition Scores (BCS). Analysis BCS calculations using factorial completely randomized design. The analysis showed that bulls have better of Body Condition Scores (BCS) level than cows when subjected to sexual maturity. The result value of the interaction between age and sex was significant (P<0.05), so there were SWOT that differs between the interactions with one another. The SWOT analysis and Quantitative Strategic Planning (QSP): the priority was to improve the weaknesses of alternative strategies to avoid threats, the strategy was to strengthen the organizational/institutional breeders that have a strong bargaining power in order to increase the population of buffaloes and breeder ability.

The purpose of this study is to: (1) review and analyze the strategies that have been implemented by 10 young entrepreneur’s Program of IbK of STIEAD Jakarta in developing their businesses over the years; (2) identify and analyze the strategies that will be run by them for the next day; (3) analyze and formulate proposals for business development strategy is relevant to young entrepreneurs run by them. The results shows, the strategy which conducted by them is actually still conventional and little is applying modern business patterns. However, they have a plan/strategy development effort that started steady state. Targets that have been set should be reassessed and to be rationalized, if the strategy is capable of being implemented. The recommendations concerned are for all tenants should have self determination for entrepreneurship, able to instill confidence, and always looking for a way out in case of a deadlock
