The rapid IT development in the 21st century has a significant impact on scientific communications and research in all branches of modern science. Psychological science cannot stay aside this non-stop process. Indeed, the modern IT capabilities provide wide opportunities for psychological research in terms of speed, accuracy, volume and cross-culture perspective. The article describes theoretical, methodological and practical principles of design of websites for professional psychological diagnosis. Adherence to these principles ensures that the psychological diagnostic websites: 1) attract visitors and maintain the necessary level of their confidence and interest; 2) provide anonymity, clarity, convenience and ease of use; 3) have high informational value, content richness and scientific character; 4) differentiate the respondents and help receive feedback from them. The research methods used include the analysis of the national and foreign experience of IT use in psychological research, modelling and online psychological diagnosis organised on two psychological diagnostic websites with 26 psychological diagnostic methods and questionnaires. The detailed structure and developmental rules for diagnostic Internet sites are substantiated. A number of specific aspects concerning diagnostic Internet site application for professional psychological diagnosis are discussed. The scientific foundations developed by the authors for the use of remote professional psychological diagnosis have been successfully tested on two created psychological diagnostic websites http://prof-diagnost.org and http://hr-test.org and confirmed by the research carried out with their help. These sites are aimed at solving conceptually rather different research tasks. The first site has become the basis for fundamental research performed by different scientists, whereas the other has provided an opportunity to adapt 11 modern English-language psychological diagnostic techniques related to the diagnosis of occupational stress for their use in Ukraine.

Purpose. To analyze stages of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and it’s unfavorable active forms, and the correlation between severity of ROP and gestanational age and birth weight of children in Republican Children's Clinical hospital (RCCH). Material and methods. We have examined 4036 children including 759 children with ROP, 596 children had I and II stages, 105 children with III stage, 58 children with Aggressive Posterior ROP (APROP) and 42 children with Plus disease. Results. The structure of ROP for 3 years is: I and II stages – 78,5%, III stage – 13,83%, APROP – 7,64%. There is direct relation between retinal lasercoagulation (RLC) and gestanational age and birth weight: the less are the indexes, the more is probability of unfavorable prognosis and operation necessity. Conclusions. Screening of premature children in catamnesis cabinet in RCCH, regular ophthalmic monitoring with up-to-date diagnostic methods and opportune prophylactic RLC in active phase of ROP allow to decrease disability of ROP. Key words: retinopathy of prematurity, premature children, lasercoagulation of retina.

The article is devoted to the coverage of socio-psychological factors of the emergence of suicidal behavior in pre-adult age. The article provides theoretical and methodological substantiation and empirical verification of the correlation of suicidal behavior in pre-adult age with psychological personality traits, identifies socio-psychological features of such behavior, as well as provides an empirical analysis of individually-psychological factors of suicidal ideation. The author formed a phased model of the emergence of suicidal behavior, described its main stages, among which were identified: the inability to adapt to changes in the social environment, conflict in the microenvironment, social and psychological maladaptation, the emergence of deviant behavior, intractable intolerance. There were also three groups of factors that provoked the emergence of suicidal behavior in pre-adult age: general psychological features of suicides; personal factors; family factors. Selected 3 valid diagnostic methods are aimed at: research of manifestations and stages of development of suicidal behavior; research of the relatives’ presence of persons who have attempted or succeeded in suicide; research of personal psychological states that highly likely influenced the suicidal behavior. The sample was divided into three groups. Separation criteria were stages in the development of suicidal behavior. It has been empirically proven that presuicidal behavior is conditioned by a multitude of influences. The most common of them are: the appearance of expressed anxiety, frustration, aggression, rigidity, as well as changes in the attitude to one's life and death.

A great prevalence of psychiatric disorders in epilepsy is well demonstrated, although most studies have used unstructured psychiatric interviews for diagnosis. Here we present a study evaluating the prevalence of psychiatric comorbidities in a cohort of Southern Brazilian patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) using a structured clinical interview. We analyzed 166 patients with TLE regarding neuropsychiatric symptoms through the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV. One hundred-six patients (63.9%) presented psychiatric comorbidities. Mood disorders were observed in 80 patients (48.2%), anxiety disorders in 51 patients (30.7%), psychotic disorders in 14 (8.4%), and substance abuse in 8 patients (4.8%) respectively. Our results agree with literature data where most authors detected mental disorders in 10 to 60% of epileptic patients. This wide variation is probably attributable to different patient groups investigated and to the great variety of diagnostic methods. Structured psychiatric interviews might contribute to a better evaluation of prevalence of psychiatric comorbidities in TLE.

The article offers a review of modern methods of assessing renal function in patients with kidney tumours. At present, there are many methods of assessment of renal function, beginning with laboratory diagnostic tests and up to radionuclide diagnostic methods. Examination of glomerular filtration rate and the Rehberg-Tareev test are widespread and accessible methods, but they are not precise indicators and do not allow determination of the split renal function. Scintigraphy is a “gold standard” permitting to obtain comprehensive information about split renal, but it is a costly procedure. Contrast computered tomography might be a promising a method for assessing renal function during both the preoperative and postoperative periods. Key words: computered tomography, assessment of renal function, partial nephrectomy, scintigraphy
