Peace education is an emerging field of study that has attained full acceptance in many countries, and is on its way towards development in many other parts of the world. The world is becoming more of an unsafe place to live in. There are threats in many forms against survival. Peace has become devoid in the day to day lives of people in all spheres of society, culture, politics and economics. Therefore it is essential to impart knowledge about peace and reconciliation post conflict, as that would help build a nonviolent approach towards conflict, and encourage to develop skills and values promoting reconciliation, and nonviolence. Once the right knowledge, skills and values are transmitted, transformation begins as people understand the root cause of conflicts and explore ways to address the challenges. Peace education is both educating on the peace content as well as educating for peace. The paper discusses the objectives of peace education and how it can be implemented as an effectualacademic discourse either by integrating it within the curriculum or through extramural activities. It also looks into the challenges and possibilities of a higher learning that shapes the mind and spirit of the learners as much as their intellect.

Beginnings are usually regarded as either hard or energizing times that set our inner world in motion. However, there is a beginning that is more important for humanity than any other: the origin of human life and of the world. The knowledge of our origin and the mystery concerning the beginning of the world have been the most intriguing and most engaging issues since man became aware of their own physical and spiritual existence. For many centuries, it was the duty of religion to provide humanity with a teaching about their origin and the foundation of human dignity. However, the 18th and 19th centuries were critical in the treatment of the biblical creation stories in Europe. The debate between misinterpreted creation myth accounts and scientific theories led to a sharpening confrontation between religion and science, but it also divided the believers and resulted in the birth of new theories. Emanuel Swedenborg, an influential theologist of the period, wrote detailed commentaries and genuine tractates related to the topic that influenced the ideology and art of William Blake, a versatile and ingenious artist and thinker of the era, whose influence is still significant today. The aim of this study is to highlight the parallels and contrasts between Blake’s Genesis myth and Swedenborg’s teachings, mainly through the unusual pairing of The [First] Book of Urizen and The Last Judgment, to show the connection between Swedenborg’s unorthodox views and Blake’s ideas about the creation of man and the world.

The conflict is as natural of law (sunnatullah) that always there in the course of human life. The authors, analyzing the philosophical concepts of M. Heidegger and their interpretations by architectural theorists, outline the understanding of architecture in the phenomenological tradition. The purpose of this work is to identify those meanings of architecture that are overlooked in the positivist picture of the world. The article examines the phenomenological concepts that reveal the importance of architecture as a link between man and the environment: architecture as the creation of «places», architecture as a built «thing», architecture as a work of art. The relevance of the topic is justifi ed by the urgent need to reunite architecture with the human life world.

Regardless of the cause of conflicts in a state, when the violence is ceased its aftermath should be dealt with. The most effective and targeted scenario of post-conflict regulation for every specific state would be designed and executed. The international community can play a crucial role in encouraging or combating peace process and building peace. The adjustment mechanism combines peacemaking with elements of nation-building, humanitarian action, transitional justice and recovery. One of the key elements of such a process involves possible revision, rewriting or even adoption of a new constitution to ensure an effective peace and security. In most cases, however, it is impossible to exclude the history and agreements that led up to a decision to make or re-make a constitution. Constitution building involves steps and sequences, and is not necessarily linear. Despite the important role that this process can play, little attention has been paid to the ways of developing and implementing participatory mechanisms and involving citizens in the process of creating a constitution conducive to a lasting peace. However, even developed in the best way constitutional and institutional framework cannot guarantee a stable democracy or permanent conflict resolution, although it can help it. Turning to the case of Ukraine, its Constitution needs changes though not that profound as in Africa for instance. Primarily, stabilization and conflict resolution in the east of Ukraine requires working towards the formation understanding of values and normative basis among people that will make intentions and practical measures of the current government legitimate and necessary in the eyes of the vast majority of the population. Ukraine should also take due notice of the complexity and comprehensive character of the process of peace building which hopefully will be launched in the nearest future.

Perhaps there is no better time to reflect on the new creation than now, amid the Covid-19 pandemic. All aspects of human life are being impacted by the pandemic, not to mention the danger of death that it generates. This critical situation brings out legitimate questions to the current state of the world (or creation): whether it is perishing, being abandoned by God, or whether God is punishing the world into destruction due to its abundance of sin. Attempting to answer those questions, the author will argue alongside Kuyper and Bavinck that God would never abandon nor destroy his creation. Even though corrupted by sin, God has no intention to destroy the creation; instead, he intends to restore it according to his original plan. God’s intention is not just to redeem the elect but to redeem the whole creation, and that complete redemption will find its fulfillment in the new creation. Such a reflection would encourage the Christian proclamation that God’s salvation extends to all creation.

Anthropocentrism has received many challenges since the publication of the famous article by Lynn White, Jr. in 1967. Yet, since then there has been no significant changes with regard to human attitude towards nature. Human beings still perceive nature as their tool whose existence is to serve their own interests. When the COVID-19 pandemic hits the world, the anthropocentrism is once again challenged. It should be a good opportunity to change the anthropocentrism. The novel corona virus has made people look powerless. It is just a tiny thing, but it has caused a great impact on human life. Despite the fact that the virus often outsmarts human beings, there is no sign that human beings want to admit their weakness. Through reading some biblical stories: the creation of human beings, the naming of animals, Job and the lamb in the Book of Revelation this article wants to deconstruct the view that sees human beings as superior to others in nature. This reading will use posthumanism as theory. It will allow us to see in the stories that human can be subjugated to animals.

Kamasutra is seen by Hindus as an important book to guide human ethical life. This text beautifully describes the intimacy process of a pair of humans. An outline of the beliefs of Hinduism is love. Hinduism believes that the process of intimacy portrays a high human existence. The teachings are contained in the statue in the Dalem Purwa Temple where the statue depicting sex has a very deep meaning; these statues are not pornographic statues. But as a symbol of the merging of Lord Shiva’s strength with Dewi Parwati (Durga). It can also be interpreted as a symbol of the merging of Kama Bang with Kama Petak (Purusha with Pradhana). Where, there is a union of Shiva symbolized by Lingga with Parvati symbolized by Yoni that is where happiness arises, the emergence of prosperity, and prosperity. When kama bang (egg cell) with kama petak (sperm) meets resulting in fertilization that causes happiness and gives birth to a life of harmony. The meaning of philosophy is poured into statues with the scene of having sex as a symbol of unification. In Hindu sexuality is seen as sacred in human life because it is implicitly contained in purusartha chess teachings, namely dharma, artha, kama, and moksa. One of the goals of human life is the fulfillment of lust or desire (kama) which encourages people to do something, which makes people passionate in this life. One form of kama is fulfillment of sexual needs. The union of Lingga and Yoni gave birth to something new, namely creation. The combination of linga and yoni symbolizes the creation of the world and fertility.
