The community and industry have been developing sago products. However, the downstream industrial development of sago products carried out by the community is still very limited, both in terms of type and quality. The aim of this study was to formulate strategies and policies for the development of technology for downstream sago products, especially sago noodles. The study was conducted in the Meranti Islands District in 2019, with a sample of 40 sago noodle micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Data collection was carried out by means of surveys and focus group discussions (FGD). Data analysis using SWOT analysis. The results of the research found that the majority of sago processing technology was still traditional and semi-modern and 87.5% of the sago noodle product quality was not good. Efforts to organize the production space according to product hygienic sanitation standards and improve sago noodle product packaging technology are the right strategies to improve the quality of sago noodles. Therefore the policy of developing sago noodle downstream product technology is implemented by Building supporting facilities for the smooth running of the sago noodle business, such as providing clean and proper water facilities for processing sago noodles, Providing socialization, and improving the quality of human resources regarding quality and sago noodle packaging.

ABSTRAK   Dienis Beauty merupakan usaha online yang menjual produk masker kecantikan merk ternama  dan  memiliki  legalitas  resmi  dari  Badan  Pengawas  Obat  dan  Makanan (BPOM).  Permasalahan  yang  timbul yaitu  mengenai  kemasan  kurang  menarik yang dapat mengancam pengusaha tersebut apabila kualitas kemasan tersebut tidak segera dirubah dikarenakan dalam proses produksi kemasan nya masih menggunakan mesin manual dalam proses pengerjaannya. Kualitas kemasan produk dianggap penting mengingat interaksi pertama yang akan memikat minat konsumen untuk melakukan pembelian yaitu melalui tampilan luar produk yang dikenal dengan kemasan. Kegiatan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai ideal nya suatu kualitas kemasan untuk menembus sebuah penjualan dan memberikan dampak positif bagi para pelaku Usaha Mikro,Kecil,dan Menengah (UMKM) agar tetap berdiri dan bertahan ditengah ketatnya persaingan.   Kata kunci : kualitas kemasan produk, penjualan, UMKM     ABSTRACT   Dienis Beauty is an online business that sells well-known brand beauty mask products and has official legality from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). The problem that arises is regarding the packaging that is less attractive and can threaten the entrepreneur if the quality of the packaging is not changed immediately because in the production process the packaging still uses manual machines in the process. The quality  of  product  packaging  is  considered  important  considering  that  the  first interaction that will attract consumers to make a purchase is through the outer appearance of the product known as packaging. This research activity aims to provide information about the ideal quality of packaging to penetrate a sale and have a positive impact on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) players in order to stand and survive in the midst of intense competition.   Keywords: quality of product packaging, sales, MSMEs

This study aims to identify and evaluate the factors including internal (strengths and weaknesses) and external scope (opportunities and threats) in determining the strategy of the Balai Diklat in support the growth of agro-based micro, small and medium enterprises in Makassar City, as well as to determine the Balai Diklat strategy with a deep SWOT analysis support the growth of small and medium agro-based enterprises in the City Area Makassar. Data collection techniques use observation, documentation, interview, with the analysis used is the SWOT analysis. Research result indicates that the factors comprising the internal environment with pay attention to the strengths and weaknesses and the external environment, namely opportunities and threats. Wherefrom the analysis of the internal and external environment hence the results of this study the Makassar Industrial Education and Training Center still has strength and great opportunities in overcoming weaknesses and threats. From the analysis of the results of strategy determination using SWOT analysis, including strategic planning, strategy determination, and decision-making stages regarding the strategy, the strategy carried out by BDI Makassar in encouraging the growth of agro-based micro, small and medium enterprises Develop competency-based training modules and curriculum, Implement monitoring and evaluating programs/activities, recruiting processing machine instructors, general graphic and functional design instructor, Organizing 3 in 1 training, competency-based industrial system training and business incubator, and Improve the quality of human resources by attending training, industrial apprenticeships and writing KTI.

Abstract— Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are business sectors that play an important role as a backbone of a nation or region"s economics. Most problems faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are capital, management and production process. This study aims to give strategic proposals in expanding small and medium enterprises of gethuk pisang for conserving traditional food. The methods used in this research are internal factor evaluation (IFE), external factor evaluation (EFE), and strengths- weaknesses - opportunities - threats (SWOT), so internal factors and external factors that faced by the small and medium enterprises can be identified. Based on SWOT analysis, some analysis strategy can be used to expand the small and medium enterprises of gethuk pisang. Result showed the small and medium enterprises of gethuk pisang were in first quadrant at SWOT cartesian diagram, meant the right strategies were strengths opportunities (SO) or Growth strategy. The strategies that will be used are local government holds traditional food festival, upgrade the quality of the product and use on-line marketing technology. In conclusion, the sales of gethuk pisang products from small and medium enterprises can increase and correlate with income increase, so small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of gethuk pisang can have competitiveness and grow.Keywords— Strategy, Gethuk pisang, IFE, EFE, SWOT.  Abstrak— Usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) merupakan suatu sektor usaha yang memiliki peran penting sebagai tulang punggung perekonomian suatu negara atau daerah. Sebagian besar permasalahan-permasalahan yang dihadapi UKM adalah permodalan, manajemen, dan proses produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan usulan strategi dalam mengembangkan UKM gethuk pisang dalam melestarikan makanan tradisional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), dan Strengths–Weaknesses - Opportunities-Threats (SWOT), sehingga dapat diidentifikasi faktor-faktor internal yang dimiliki dan faktor-faktor eksternal yang dihadapi oleh UKM. Berdasarkan analisa SWOT, maka akan diperoleh beberapa alternatif strategi yang dapat digunakan dalam mengembangkan UKM gethuk pisang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UKM gethuk pisang berada di kuadran I pada diagram kartesius SWOT, yang berarti strategi yang tepat digunakan adalah strategi Strengths Opportunities (SO) atau strategi Growth. Strategi-strategi yang akan digunakan adalah: Pemerintah Daerah mengadakan festival makanan tradisional,  mutu produk lebih ditingkatkan, dan memanfaatkan teknologi media pemasaran on-line. Dengan demikian, produk UKM gethuk pisang dapat terjadi peningkatan penjualan dan berkorelasi dengan peningkatan pendapatan, sehingga UKM gethuk pisang memiliki daya saing dan dapat berkembang.Kata kunci — Strategi, Gethuk Pisang, IFE, EFE, SWOT

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) which are now better known as micro and small enterprises play an important role in the growth of the Indonesian economy. The company carries out a SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Oppurtunity, and Threat) in determining marketing strategies. The respondents in this study are tofu producers, suppliers, consumers, governments, competitors and marketing institutions of Tahu Teguh Pribadi. Where this analysis consists of 2 analysis variables, namely an analysis of internal factors consisting of strengths and weaknesses, and external analysis consisting of opportunities and threats. The IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) matrix shows that the strength and weakness factors have a total score of 3.01. The EFAS (External Factor Analysis Strategy) matrix shows that opportunity and threat factors have a total value of 3.16. Based on the Cartesian diagram shows that Usaha Tahu Teguh Pribadi is in the Growth quadrant where the quadrant is a very favorable situation. S-O strategy (Strenght-Opportunity) then obtained the factor that must be maintained to be able to take the opportunities that are: Improving product quality by utilizing technological developments to maintain consumer trust and forming associations / unions of business entrepreneurs to maintain bargaining positions against suppliers. The W-O strategy (Weakness-Opportunity) obtained results, namely: Increasing sales volume through product diversification by utilizing culinary policies and improving the quality of human resources through programs from the government. S-T strategy (Great Strenght) shows results: Improving quality and maintaining product continuity with good production management to improve competitiveness. And can improve marketing efficiency by establishing W-T (Weakness-Threat) Strategy partnership relationship, namely: Use simple SOPsfor effectiveness and efficiency. As well as increasing capital and promotion networks through product packaging and increasing human resources

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role in economic development. It is reasonable if the empowerment of MSMEs gets special attention by the government, including MSMEs in tourism villages. The tourist village of Loram Kulon MSME which is one of the objects of this research is growing and diverse in both number and type. The diversity of MSMEs has resulted in village governments having difficulties in implementing MSME development programs that are in harmony with the characteristics of tourism villages. This study aims to formulate a business development strategy model for MSMEs in resource-based and local wisdom-based tourism villages. Except in the village of Loram Kulon, research has been carried out with the object of the Jambearum tourism village in Kendal Regency. The study used 7-10 samples of MSMEs taken randomly. Respondents are owners / managers of MSMEs. Data was collected through interviews with the help of questionnaires. Processed using descriptive statistics and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. From these two studies can be formulated a model of village tourism MSME development. The results show that the development model based on the SWOT analysis is the right model for formulating the tourism village MSME development strategy. This is because the SWOT analysis considers the internal and external conditions of MSMEs and provides four alternative strategies namely SO, ST, WO, WT which can be selected according to the general objectives of MSMEs in the tourism village

This research aims to study the problematic conditions of small and medium enterprises, of hotels and food services, to provide a strategy for the development of small and medium enterprises, by providing hospitality and food services in Phuket by using integrated quantitative research which is divided into two phases. The first phase is a study of current problems of small and medium enterprises, accommodation and food services. The second phase is a strategy for the development of small and medium enterprises, accommodation and food services in Phuket by using qualitative research. Pieces of data were collected by the expert in-depth interview. Representatives from all sectors, local and national academics were to summarize information about strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and barriers to SWOT Analysis to find the right strategy and stage the forum. The participant were involved to present a draft strategy for the development of small and medium enterprises in Phuket accommodation and food service industry. The analysis of the data in the first phase of the questionnaire was using the statistical programme to distribute the frequency as a percentage value, average standard deviation and analysis of data in phase 2 by content analysis

In the Indonesian economy, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or MSMEs are the business group that has the largest number and is proven to be resistant to various kinds of shocks to the economic crisis. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are encouraged to be able to develop into the global market not only on a national scale. Strategy is very important to determine the success of a company to achieve its long-term goals. By choosing the right strategy for a particular company position, it will make a company have a competitive advantage. The purpose of this research is to find out what is the most appropriate strategy that should be taken by PT. Muniru Burni Telong as a UMKM in facing Global Business competition. This research method uses SWOT analysis and IFAS, EFAS, by previously collecting data through interviews, questionnaires, observations and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the strategy that must be carried out by PT Muniru Burni Telong is in quadrant I, which is a quadrant that supports an aggressive growth strategy which shows that this company has the power to take advantage of existing opportunities, meaning that the organization is in a strong condition so it is possible to continue to expand opening branches to the targeted countries, enlarging growth and achieving maximum progress.   Abstrak Dalam perekonomian Indonesia, Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah atau UMKM merupakan kelompok usaha yang memiliki jumlah paling besar dan terbukti tahan terhadap berbagai macam goncangan krisis ekonomi.Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) didorong harus mampu berkembang sampai ke pasar gobal bukan hanya di skala nasional saja. Strategi merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk menentukan keberhasilan perusahaan untuk mencapai tujuan jangka panjangnya. Dengan memilih strategi yang tepat pada posisi perusahaan  tertentu, akan membuat  sebuah perusahaan  memiliki keunggulan kompetitif.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi apa yang paling tepat yang harus diambil PT. Muniru Burni Telong sebagai UMKM dalam menghadapi persaingan Bisnis Global . Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis SWOT dan IFAS, EFAS, dengan sebelumnya melakukan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, kuesioner, observasi dan juga studi literature. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang harus dilakukan oleh  PT Muniru Burni Telong adalah di kuadran I yaitu kuadran yang mendukung strategi pertumbuhan agresif yang menunjukkan  perusahaan ini memiliki kekuatan untuk memanfaatkan peluang yang ada, artinya organisasi dalam keadaan kondisi kuat sehingga sangat dimungkinkan untuk terus melakukan ekspansi membuka cabang ke negara-negara yang akan dituju, memperbesar pertumbuhan dan meraih kemajuan secara maksimal. Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)  are one of the sectors supporting the economy of the people in the Lunang II area of Pesisir Selatan Regency. MSME in the Lunang Dua area still have several problems to compete or survive in the Industry 4.0 era. The first problem were  they do not have a brand or image that is easy to recognize by potential customers. The second problem were they don’t have attractive product packaging. The third problem were they  still limited marketing area. Through the activities of the team Technology Student Creativity Program (PKM T), the team carried out educational activities to partners about the importance of the brand for the product. In an effort to improve the competitiveness of MSME, especially in the Lunang Dua area, it was carried out by branding the names of MSME partners to become the Barokah MSME which later became their own identity for local, national and international marketing. To improve the quality of product packaging, the partners of the PKMT team helped design attractive packaging and can compete with competitors' products and match the characteristics of partner products. The PKM T team also built and developed a website in the form of an online shop as a means of online sales so that it expands the market from partners, namely Barokah MSME. The team also helped make Barokah's MSME social media in the form of instagram to increase sales of partner products. To increase the usefulness of this online market for partners, the team provides web and UMKM Instagram training to partners. The Barokah MSME brand and the improvement of product packaging quality and the existence of an online shop that can be operated easily by partners are expected to expand the marketing area of partner products and increase sales volume and improve the welfare of partners.

ABSTRAK                Tujuan program pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Wringinputih ini adalah menemukan strategi pengembangan usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) makanan olahan berbahan baku lokal. Kelompok usaha yang menjadi obyek pengabdian adalah kelompok UKM bidang makanan berbahan dasar dari ketela. Untuk menemukan berbagai strategi yang dipilih, digunakan analisis Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunity and Threat (SWOT). Strategi yang direkomendasikan untuk pengembangan usaha adalah peningkatan kualitas produksi, pengurusan perijinan industri rumah tangga (P-IRT), peningkatan kualitas pengemasan produk,  dan pemasaran. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menghasilkan produk berupa (1) peningkatan kualitas produk makanan berbahan baku ketela dengan penggunaan mesin peniris minyak (spinner), (2) hasil diversifikasi jenis makanan olahan berbahan baku ketela dan pepaya, (3) hasil pelatihan dan pengurusan P-IRT, (4) desain kemasan produk makanan berbahan baku ketela dan pepaya, dan (5) rancangan pemasaran produk makanan olahan. Kata Kunci : Singkong, Usaha Kecil Dan Menengah, Sertifikat P-IRT ABSTRACT                The purpose of community service program in Wringinputih Village is to find the strategy of developing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of processed foods made from local raw materials. Group of business as object of dedication is group of food industry based SMEs from cassava. To find the various strategies of SME’s development, we used Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) analysis. The recommended strategies for business development are improving the quality of production, managing the home industry licensing (Perijinan Industri Rumah Tangga/P-IRT), improving the quality of product packaging, and new marketing design. The result of the community services are (1) the improvement of the quality of food product made from raw sweet potatoes with the use of the oil spinner machine, (2) the diversification of the processed foods made from raw cassava and papaya, (3) the result of training and management of P-IRT, (4) packaging design of food products made from cassava and papaya, (5) marketing design of processed food products. Keywords: Cassava, Small And Medium Entrepreneurs, Certificate P-IRT

In this paper, based on the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis, a matrix of Threats, Opportunities, Weaknesses and Strengths (TOWS) was formed. It represents possible business strategies of the transport company. To choose the right plan, a model based on the integration of Fuzzy PIvot Pairwise RElative Criteria Importance Assessment (fuzzy PIPRECIA), Full Consistency Method (FUCOM) and Measurement Alternatives and Ranking according to COmpromise Solution (MARCOS) methods, has been formed. A case study was conducted in the transport company from Bosnia and Herzegovina which provides services on the domestic and the European Union market for 20 years and belongs to a group of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The SWOT analysis in this transport company was the basis for forming the TOWS matrix, which represents a set of possible business strategies. These strategies are the basis for developing five basic alternatives. The transport company should choose the best one of them for future business. The research focuses on forming a model for choosing the best strategy by which the transport company seeks to improve its business. Decision-making (DM) is not a straightforward sequence of operations, so the harmonization of methods as well as the verification of their results, are essential in the research. This model is applicable in SMEs that make these and similar decisions. Using this model, companies can adjust their business policies to the results of the model and achieve better business results. This research is the first that allows the use of such a model in making strategic decisions.
