Cases of STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) and HIV / AIDS are quite common among adolescents. Various types of STIs and HIV / AIDS are very influential on a person's health level in general and reproductive health conditions in particular because in general, various STI and HIV / AIDS infections are directly related to the human reproductive system. Even HIV / AIDS can have an impact on death. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to knowledge of HIV / AIDS in adolescents. This research is an analytical survey research in which the research will be conducted is a research using cross sectional research method (cross-cutting) because in this study the independent and dependent variables will be observed at the same time. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the distribution of adolescent knowledge about HIV / AIDS at SMK Gema Gawita Tangerang in 2019, namely Not Good as many as 54 respondents (58.7%) and Good as many as 38 respondents (41.3%). The distribution of adolescent knowledge about HIV / AIDS based on gender was 46 respondents (50%) and 46 respondents (50%), based on The role of parents were 60 respondents (65.2%) and 32 respondents (34.8%) had a role. %), based on the Attitude of students who have negative Attitude as many as 45 respondents (48.9%) and positive ones as many as 47 respondents (51.1%), based on the environment where there are as many as 24 respondents (26.1%) and those who support 68 respondents (73.9%), based on Information Technology, there were 31 respondents (33.7%) and 61 respondents (66.3%) made use of it.

This research is an analytical survey research in which the research will be conducted using a cross sectional research method (cross-sectional). because in this study the independent and dependent variables will be observed at the same time. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the distribution of adolescent knowledge about HIV / AIDS at SMK Muhammadiyah Serang in 2019 was poor as many as 56 respondents (59.8%) and good as many as 37 respondents (40.2%). The distribution of adolescent knowledge about HIV / AIDS based on the sex of women was 47 respondents (51.1%) and male respondents were 45 respondents (48.9%), based on the role of parents as many as 60 respondents (65.2%) and those who played a role 32 respondents (34.8%), based on the attitudes of students who have negative attitudes as many as 45 respondents (48.9%) and positive ones as many as 47 respondents (51.1%), based on the living environment as many as 24 respondents (26.1 %) and those who supported 68 respondents (73.9%), based on information technology as many as 30 respondents (32.6%) and 62 respondents (67.4%) who used it.

Social media use: The role of parents' perceptions about social media impact in early marriageBackground: Early marriage is a marriage that is conducted at adolescence, the factors causing early marriage are socio-cultural factors, economic pressure, level of education, difficulty in getting a job, social media, religion and views and beliefsPurpose: To find out the influence of social media and the role of parents on the incidence of early marriageMethod: A quantitative research using descriptive analytical research method with cross sectional study design with variable use of social media with the criteria for the results "active and inactive". For the variable of the role of parents with 2 outcome criteria, namely "influential and not influential". And for the variable incidence of early marriage, there are 2 criteria, namely age 14-16 years and age 17-19 years, the questionnaire used has been through the validity of previous researchers. Then the results of the data obtained were analyzed in the SPSS program using the Chi Square testResults: From the Chi Square test results for social media variables obtained p value = 0.001, then the value of p = 0.001 <0.05 (α) while the role of parents variable Chi Square test results obtained p value = 0.022, therefore the value of p = 0.022 <0.05 (α).Conclusion: Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that, there is a significant influence between the use of social media and the role of parents in the event of early marriage Keywords: Social media; Parents, Early marriagePendahuluan: Pernikahan usia dini adalah perkawinan yang dilakukan pada usia remaja, faktor penyebab pernikahan usia dini adalah faktor sosial budaya, desakan ekonomi, tingkat pendidikan, sulit mendapat pekerjaan, media sosial, agama serta pandangan dan kepercayaan.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh media sosial dan peran orang tua terhadap kejadian pernikahan dini di Kecamatan Marioriawa Kabupaten Soppeng Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional study dengan variabel penggunaan media sosial dengan kriteria hasil “aktif dan tidak aktif”. Untuk variabel peran orang tua dengan 2 kriteria hasil yaitu “berpengaruh dan tidak berpengaruh”. Dan untuk variabel kejadian pernikahan dini ada 2 kriteria  yaitu umur 14-16 tahun dan umur 17-19 tahun,  kuesioner yang di gunakan sudah melalui uji validitas peneliti sebelumnya. Kemudian hasil data yang di dapatkan dianalisis di program SPSS dengan menggunakan uji Chi SquareHasil: Dari hasil uji Chi Square untuk variabel media sosial didapatkan nilai p=0,001, maka nilai p=0.001<0.05 (α) sedangkan variabel peran orang tua hasil uji Chi Square didapatkan nilai p=0,022, oleh karena itu nilai p=0.022<0.05 (α).Simpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat di simpulkan bahwa, Ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan media sosial dan peran orang tua terhadap kejadian pernikahan dini

The title of the research is The Role of Parents in Shaping the Character of Children in the Globalization Era in Masigit Village, Citangkil Village, Cilegon City. In the current era of globalization, there are many influences, both positive and negative. This negative influence must be avoided because it can affect a person's habits, attitudes, and behavior. Character education is one of the important things that must be applied in the family environment. Parents must reflect good attitudes and habits in interacting in the family environment and in the community environment. This is important for fostering good attitudes and habits in children. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of parents in improving children's character in the era of globalization, Masigit Village, Citangkil Village, Cilegon City. What factors can influence the formation of children's character in the era of globalization, Masigit Village, Citangkil Village, Cilegon City. What efforts are made by parents in shaping children's character in the era of globalization in Masigit Village, Citangkil Village, Cilegon City. This study aims to determine the role of parents in shaping children's character in the era of globalization in Masigit Village, Citangkil Village, Cilegon City. The subjects of this study were 6 parents and 6 children in Masigit Village, Citangkil Village, Cilegon City. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data analysis in qualitative research is by doing data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study indicate that the role of parents in Masigit Village, Citangkil Village, Cilegon City has been good in shaping children's character in the era of globalization.

AbstractPurposeThere is little information on youth gambling in Ghana even though there is an unprecedented emergence of various types of gambling and gambling venues throughout the country. The aim of this cross-sectional exploratory study was to examine the role of perceived social difficulties and perceived protective social factors in participation and attitudes of Ghanaian youth towards gambling using data from a school-based survey (n = 770).MethodsParticipants completed measures on perceived social difficulties, perceived protective social factors, attitudes towards gambling and participation in four types of gambling.ResultsSports betting was the most common form of gambling. There were significant differences in gambling participation with males gambling more than females. Youth who reported more perceived social difficulties from family and friends had a more positive attitude and a negative attitude towards gambling, respectively. Youth who reported higher protective social factors from family and teachers were less likely to have a negative attitude towards gambling. In all situations, high frequency gambling resulted in a more positive attitude towards gambling.ConclusionPerceived social difficulties influences Ghanaian youths to have a positive attitude towards gambling, however, protective social factors from family and teachers may help youth to have a negative attitude towards gambling, gamble less and consequently achieve academic success.

ABSTRACT Aims & Objective The aim of the present study was to assess current status of knowledge and attitude among the dental students of Udaipur, India towards HIV/AIDS. Material and Methods A cross-sectional questionnaire survey was conducted among 282 dental students of Darshan Dental College. The interview questionnaire comprised of 27close ended questions. One way ANOVA was applied by using SPSS (11.0) to compare mean level of knowledge and attitude towards HIV/AIDS. Results Shows dental students have satisfactory knowledge, but certain misconception was prevalent. It also shows that around 30.20% of the dental students held an over all negative attitude. Mean level of knowledge and attitude towards HIV/AIDS had a statistically significant difference in results among sex and academic periods. Conclusion Over all knowledge and attitude among dental students was found to be satisfactory. Most of the Dental Students, near about 69.80% have a positive attitude regarding HIV/AIDS education.

<p>During the COVID-19 pandemic, guidance and counseling teachers are demanded to keep running counseling services using various alternatives of online learning applications. At the same time, parents as the main assistants in the online counseling process should actively encourage their children to have active participation. It is because the majority of parents consider that all the things related to school activities are totally teachers’ responsibility. Thus, the present study attempted to find, reveal, and describe the role of parents in the implementation of supporting technology for online counseling services during the COVID-19 pandemic. To do so, the researchers adopted an online survey method and cross-sectional technique to analyze the data of 350 student's parents in Semarang Regency as the respondents of this study. BACKGROUND: Adolescence is a period of growth and development that occurs dynamically and rapidly both physically, psychologically, intellectually, socially, and sexual behavior that is associated with the onset of puberty. Health problems in adolescence are one of the important problems in the lifecycle. One of the health problems of adolescents today is sexual conduct before marriage. This behavior is a sexual behavior that is very risky to cause unwanted pregnancy problems, and risks causing various diseases such as sexually transmitted diseases, and even HIV/AIDS. AIM: The aim of the study was to describe dating behavior and age at first having premarital sexual relations for adolescent boys in Indonesia in 2017. METHODS: This study uses data from the Indonesian Demographic Health Survey (SDKI) in 2017 with the number of male respondents who are not married aged 15–24 years as many as 12,523 person. RESULTS: The results showed that more adolescents who are dating are 7047 people (56.3%) compared to those who are dating who are as many as 5476 people (43.7%). The most age at first having sexual relations with young men is at the age of 17 years, namely, as many as 254 people (20.2%), while the age at first having sexual relations with young at least is at the age of 11 years, as many as two people (0.2%). CONCLUSION: It is suggested to the role of parents, schools, health centers, and health offices in providing information related to comprehensive reproductive health education.

Background: Sedentary lifestyle is a major modifiable risk factor that usually starts from childhood. High screen time is associated with sedentary lifestyle in children; and parents might have played a role in screen time among the children. This study aims to assess the role of parents in the screen time of young children aged five to nine years in Pokhara metropolitan city in Nepal. Methods: A cross sectional study was done among 360 children where respondents were one of the parents of those children. Face to face interview was done using a semi structured questionnaire between March 8 and September 4, 2020. A daily screen time <2 hours was taken as a normal value. Descriptive and inferential analyses were done with the data. Chi square test at 5% level of significance was computed for the inferential analysis. The ethical approval was taken from the Nepal Health Research Council. Results: Of the total 360 children, 54.7% were male and 35.6% were aged 9 years. Screen time >2 hours was found among 48.6% children. The screen time of >2 hours children was significantly associated with the educational qualification of parents, parental worry and parental permission to watch the screen for tasks like eating, doing homework, not going out or making free time for parents. The screen time of children was not associated with socioeconomic characteristics like parental occupation. Conclusion: Parental characteristics have role in the screen time of children. Parental factors must also be considered while implementing programs to reduce children’s screen time.

Introduction. Improving nurses and nursing student’s knowledge and attitudes toward patients with HIV/AIDS is vital for providing quality care to each patients. The purpose of this study is to identify the knowledge and the attitudes of nursing students toward patients living with HIV/AIDS. Methods. This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted at Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Klabat (Unklab), Airmadidi. The inclusion criteria for the nursing students were as follows: being at least 18 years of age; being a fourth-year in course and as a nurse profession program nursing student; and having consent to participate in the research. The sample comprised of 90 nursing students. The study used two data collection tools: (1) the HIV/AIDS Knowledge Questionnaire and (2) the HIV/AIDS Attitude Questionnaire. Results. Participant’s knowledge were moderate or good, but they generally have negative attitude towards patients with HIV/AIDS. On the result of statistic test, there was no statistically significant relation between nursing students  knowledge level and attitude scale toward patients with HIV/AIDS,    p = 0.804 (p > 0,05). Conclusions. The current results reveal that nursing students have good knowledge of HIV/AIDS, but they have a negative attitude. HIV is a virus that attacks the human immune system and if the condition gets worse and results in various complications, the disease will cause AIDS or Aquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. Adolescent behavior at this time tends to be at risk with promiscuity everywhere so as to increase the incidence of HIV/AIDS for adolescents. The purpose of the research actually for determine the relationship between the role of parents and information media with HIV/AIDS prevention behavior for adolescents at SMAN 75 Jakarta. The type of research is quantitative with cross sectional research design and analyzed by Chi-Square Test. This research conducted in March to June 2020 at SMAN 75 Jakarta involving as of 154 respondents, and the sampling using a random sampling technique. The statistical test results using Chi-Square stated that a significant relationship between the role of parents and information media. (p = 0.007). On the information media with HIV / Aids prevention behavior showed a significant relationship (p = 0,000). It is recommended to students, schools and parents to work together in efforts for prevention of HIV/AIDS.
