This research discusses the concept of zakat in Abu Ubaid's Kitab Al-Amwal. The purpose of this study is to analyze the existence of social justice in zakat. The research method that I use is a qualitative method with a literature review method. The result of this research is that zakat according to Abu Ubaid has esoteric values of social justice. Zakat instruments can alleviate poverty and stabilize state finances. To create social justice, the zakat instrument provides space for those in need. The space is not only a treasure. But also capital that can be used to start a business. In addition, in order to optimize zakat, the government must take part in maximizing the potential of zakat.

Focus groups are a research method using multi-person interviews to generate qualitative data from participants’ interaction. The purpose is to induce conversation between participants to answer questions relevant to the study goals. In contrast to one-on-one interviews that are also widely used in qualitative research, the source of the data is in the “interaction” between participants, including similarities and differences between their experiences, opinions, and perceptions. This helps researchers understand not just what the participants think about a topic, but also why they think that way. Focus groups can cover a wide range of topics that are skillfully “moderated” by the researcher. The earliest known focus groups can be traced to Bogardus in 1926 and Robert Merton and Paul Lazarsfeld in 1941 but did not take hold as a qualitative method in the social sciences for another twenty-five years. Since then, a significant body of knowledge has been created; since the late 20th century, more than twenty-five thousand peer-reviewed, published articles using focus groups have been published. This article will focus on uses within the realm of published scholarly research although focus groups are routinely used within the field of market and consumer research, and additional gray literature may be found in other sources.

This study aims to explain the implementation of the family’s religious functions in instilling the Islamic values to the children. The study was conducted in February - June 2018. The research method employed was the descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected using in-depth interviews and observations. The collected data were analyzed using the qualitative data analysis methods. The research subjects were 30 families whose parents had children aged 7-12 years and residing in the South Tangerang area. The research subjects were chosen using the purposive sampling procedures. The findings showed that 67.29% of the families had carried out their religious functions in instilling the Islamic values including the aspects of reading the stories of the prophets which done by the 60% of families, telling the family of the Messenger of Allah and the story of the Prophet’s companions which done by the 67% of families, teaching the names of the angels and their duties, and introducing the names of the scriptures which done by the 53% of the families, and the rest 32.71% of the family had not embedded the Islamic values in those aspects yet. Instilling the Islamic values as parts of the implementation of the family’s religious function was carried out in various ways according to the values which were implemented. Thus, the suggestion given is that parents as the implementers of the family’s religious functions have to learn continuously to improve their knowledge as well as to provide the sufficient time to instill the Islamic values in those aspects to their children. References Al Qur’anul Karim. The root and stem are the lowest levels at which a language speificific structure can be categorized. Additional categorization is the syntac level. An empirical study comparing root and stem categorization in a sample of two languages (English and Arabic) shows far-reaching distinctions. Therefore the researchers conducted the research about root and stem in arabic and english. The research method that was used is descriptive qualitative method. To gain the data the researchers used literature review in which the data gained from dictionary,English and arabic articles. The data analysed by using content analysis. These variations in the categorization of linguistic signs at the most fundamental levels cast doubt on any thesis claiming universal categorization or stem categorization. Such a static perspective should be substituted by a vibrant perspective demanding the role of categorization in linguistic operation.

Terrorism is a threat that not only jeopardizes a country's security, but also the survival of ASEAN as a regional organization, the security of peace and stability, and the region's overall economic possibilities. This research aimed to examine the implementation of Counter-terrorism (CT) cooperation in the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) from the perspective of Indonesia's defense diplomacy. The research method used was the qualitative method which is based on the combination of interviews and literature review regarding ASEAN’s or ARF’s Counter-terrorism cooperation and Indonesia’s defense diplomacy from the year 2015-2019. The findings showed that CT cooperation is less discussed in the mechanism of the ARF since the current focus of ARF is on Trafficking in Person (TIP) and threats of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN). Meanwhile, from the perspective of defense diplomacy, Indonesia has successfully initiated ARF Statement on Preventing and Countering Terrorism and Violent Extremism Conducive to Terrorism (VECT) with Australia and New Zealand in 2019. However, it is undeniable that CT cooperation through the ARF mechanism remains difficult to achieve due to several obstacles, including the differences of national interests and legal framework, the principle of non-interference, and the existence of mutual distrust between participating countries.
