BACKGROUND: Papaya fruit which is a type of fruit that has high nutritional content and is rich in health benefits, one of the benefits is to increase breast milk production. Papaya is a fruit that contains galactagogue, a substance that can help increase and improve breast milk production. AIM: This study aimed to determine papaya fruit’s effect on breast milk production in nursing mothers at Teling Atas Public Health Center, Wanea Subdistrict, Manado City, Indonesia. METHODS: The research method was the pre-experimental method using a before and after intervention design to one group. The study population was all breastfeeding mothers whose babies were aged 0–6 months per June 2019 and a sample size of 14 categorized less breastfeeding, namely, babies often cry; restless baby; the color of the feces dark brown; consistency of solid feces; the baby’s mouth and eyes appear dry; dark yellow urine; and baby’s weight decreases. The intervention group, namely, getting 200 g of papaya 3 times a day, and given for 7 days (1 week). Data analysis is the Wilcoxon Test. RESULTS: Most respondents were less breastfeeding before consuming papaya, about 71.43%. Nursing mothers before and after being given papaya for 7 days increased by 4.1. The mean value before the intervention was 2.21, and after the intervention, the level of milk production increase to 6.36. There was a significant difference in the level of milk production before and after papaya intervention (p = 0.001). CONCLUSION: Consuming papaya fruit effectively enhanced breast milk production in nursing mothers.

The decrease of breast milk production of postpartum mother in the early breast feeding process that become a problem for mother to provide breast milk  early on her baby. Based on a preliminary study of the lowest exclusive breastfeeding rate coverage in the Kediri city is at Sukorame Public Health Center. This is because many postpartum mothers who felt less that give their milk formula or food other than breast milk in early lactation. The breast milk production could be stimulated by the use of intervention  marmet technique. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of giving marmet technique to the breast milk production of the postpartum mother. This study is a quasi-experimental research design with post-test only control group design. The population in this study were all post partum mothers who met the inclusion criteria for the study in BPM working area of Sukorame Public Health Center Kediri City. The sampling technique is consecutive sampling with a sample of 26 respondents. Data collection was done by dividing into 2 groups: the experimental group and the control group and to assess the breast milk production using the observation sheet of breast milk production. Data analysis technique used is the Fisher Exact Test Test. The results obtained p value count (0.0074) < = (0.05) then H0 is rejected, meaning that there is the effect of giving marmet technique to the breast milk production. The conclusion of this study was the Marmet technique affects breast milk production of post partum mother. Giving Marmet technique can be applied to help the adequacy of breast milk production. Suggestions researchers is that all medical person can continue to support the improvement of service quality by taking into account maternal postpartum milk production that can impact the breastfeeding process. Keywords: marmet technique, breast milk production, post partum

Background: The low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is caused by several factors, one of which is anxiety. The mother feels anxious because she is unable to provide enough milk for her baby.Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between anxiety and breast milk production among breastfeeding mother in Public Health Center of Jagir, Surabaya.Methods: The design of this study was observational analytic with the cross-sectional approach. The study population were all of breastfeeding mothers in Public Health Center of Jagir, Surabaya who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample of this study was recruited through purposive sampling as many as 67 mothers. Data were collected by using the State Anxiety Inventory Questionnaire and the breast milk production observational sheet. The results of Cronbach Alpha test for the State Anxiety Inventory Questionnaire was .619 and the breast milk production observational sheet was .711. Descriptive statistics and Spearmen Rank Test with significance value less than .05 were used to analyzed data.Results: The results showed: 1) most breastfeeding mothers experienced moderate anxiety (91.04%), 2) some breastfeeding mothers showed smooth milk production (61.19%), 3) There was a correlation between anxiety and breast production in breastfeeding mothers (p = 0.001).Conclusion: The more severe anxiety in nursing mothers, the production of breast milk becomes not smooth. Future studies are expected to analyze other factors that can affect breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers. Keywords: Anxiety, Breast Milk Production, Breastfeeding Mother

Abstract   BACKGROUND: Breastmilk (ASI) is the best food for babies. Adequacy of breast milk plays a vital role in the process of growth and development of babies. One way that can be done to increase the rate of secretion and production of breast milk is by giving boiled water for sweet potato leaves. AIM: To analyze the effect of giving boiled sweet potato leaves on the acceleration of milk production in nursing mothers   METHODS: The research design used in this study was pre-experimental with a pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted in the Kuta Baro Health Center, Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar District, and was carried out in May-August 2020. This study's population was all mothers who were breastfeeding and had babies aged 0-6 years. This study sample was part of breastfeeding mothers who had babies aged 0-6 months, selected by purposive sampling as much as 32. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square statistical test.   RESULTS: The results showed that there was an effect of intervention giving sweet potato boiled water for five days with an increase in the acceleration of breast milk production by 204.69 ml, and on the 10th day, it was 212.88 ml. Furthermore, the intervention of giving boiled water for sweet potato leaves on days 11 to 15, there was an increase in the average milk production by 214.25 ml. These results are evidenced by statistical tests where is a significant difference in acceleration of milk production between before the intervention and after the intervention on the 5th, 10th, and 15th day (p-value <0.05).   CONCLUSION:   There is an effect of giving boiled sweet potato leaves water on the acceleration of milk production in breastfeeding mothers in the working area of the Kuta Baro Health Center, Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar District.

Abstract Adequacy of milk production in the newborns will affect the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Not all postpartum mothers are able to increase milk production in the postpartum period. Acupressure at the meridian points is one way to increase milk production in postpartum mothers. This study aims to determine the effect of acupressure therapy on increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers at PKU Muhamadiyah Bantul. This study was a quantitative study  a quasi-experimental research design with pre-test and post-test nonequivalent control group. The number of respondents in each group was 17 people. The treatment given was acupressure at the meridian points for 5 minutes on days 2 and 3of poatpartum. Breastfeeding adequacy was assessed before treatment and on day 4 postpartum. Data were analyzed by Mc Nemar analysis. The results showed that there was a significant difference in breast milk production before and after acupressure with p value of 0.000 (p value <0.05). There was a significant difference in breast milk production in the control group before and after being given the breastfeeding technique leaflet p value 0.001 (p value <0.05). Conclusion: There is no significant difference in breast milk production after being given acupressure and after being given leaflets about breastfeeding techniques at PKU Muhamadiyah Bantul p value 0.100 (p value> 0.05).  Keywords: acupressure, breast milk production, postpartum

Abstract Nursing mothers belong to one of the vulnerable groups of nutrition, because breast milk which is the main food for babies is obtained from the mother. Therefore, mothers who are breastfeeding must be controled to the intake of nutrients consumed. green beans as a food source of vegetable protein which has been very popular in everyday life. Based on the amount every 100 grams, protein is the second main constituent after calories, which contains 22.2% protein. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of consumption of mungbean juice on breast milk production in nursing mothers. This research is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design with one group pretest posttest, with a population of 20 breastfeeding mothers (0-2 months) and a total sample of 11 nursing mothers who delivered at Klinik Pratama Tutun Sehati. Data collection uses an observation sheet using indicators of Smooth Milk Production. The characteristic equality test showed that there was an effect of consuming mung bean extract on breast milk production in nursing mothers (p> α, α≤0.05). The results of the analysis test with the Wilcoxon test showed that there was a smooth effect of breast milk production (p = 0.046). It was recommended for nursing mothers whose milk was not smooth to pay attention to nutritional intake in order to improve the quality and amount of milk production, in packaging because the price is also affordable.

ASI eksklusif merupakan salah satu program yang cukup sulit dikembangkan karena berkaitan dengan berbagai permasalahan sosial di masyarakat. Untuk mencegah dan menangani masalah laktasi tersebut, maka dimungkinkan sebuah intervensi yaitu Kombinasi Masssage Woolwich dan Massage Rolling serta Tekhnik Marmet. Dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu guna mengetahui adanya perbedaan Kombinasi Masssage Woolwich dan Massage Rolling dengan Tekhnik Marmet terhadap produksi ASI ibu nifas di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Karang Pule. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian Quasi Eksperiment dengan menggunakan rancangan post test only design with control group. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu nifas di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Karang Pule, sampel diambil dengan consecutive sampling dengan jumlah 34 orang. Analisis data menggunakan Independent T- test untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan produksi ASI antara dua kelompok intervensi. Produksi ASI pada kelompok intervensi kombinasi massage woolwich dan massage rolling didapatkan rata-rata yaitu 29,12 cc. Sementara produksi ASI pada kelompok dengan tehnik marmet didapatkan rata-rata yaitu 22,35 cc. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah Independent T-test didapatkan hasil nilai t sebesar 2,617 dan signifikansi (p) 0,013 < 0,05. Ada Perbedaan antara kombinasi massage woolwich dan massage rolling dengan tekhnik  marmet terhadap produksi ASI ibu nifas di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Karang Pule Tahun 2019. Exclusive breastfeeding is one program that is quite difficult to develop because it is related to various social problems in the community. To prevent and deal with the problem of lactation, an intervention is possible, namely a combination of wolwich massage, Rolling Massage and Marmet Technique. This research is conducted to find the different of woolwich massage combination and rolling massage with marmet technique to milk production of postpartum mother in the working area of Karang Pule Public Health Center in 2019. This study used a Quasi Experiment design using a post test only design with control group. The population was all postpartum mothers at working area of Karang Pule Public Health Center, samples were taken with consecutive sampling with a total of 34 people. Data analysis used the Independent T-test to determine the differences in ASI production between the two intervention groups. Breast milk production in the intervention group combined of woolwich massage and rolling massage obtained an average of 29.12 cc. While breast milk production in the group with the marmet technique was obtained an average of 22.35 cc. The statistical test used is the Independent T-test, the results of the t value are 2.617 and the significance (p) is 0.013 <0.05. There is a difference between the combination of massage woolwich and rolling massage with marmet techniques on the production of breast milk for postpartum mothers in the work area of the Karang Pule Health Center in 2019.

Background : Diarrhea is the frequency of defecating more than 3 times a day within 24 hours with a liquid consistency. Diarrhea disease is still one of the important public health problems because it is the main contributor to the three morbidity and mortality rates for children after pneumonia in various countries, especially in developing countries, one of the developing countries is Indonesia. Goals : The purpose of this study was to know the effect of education on the level of mother’s knowledge in preventing of diarrhea in children at Wonoasih Public Health Center, Probolinggo City. Research methods : The design of this study uses Quasy-Experimental with a pretest-posttest with Control Group approach. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a total sample of 30 intervention groups and 30 control groups using a total sampling technique. Results : The results of the analysis that have been carried out using the wilcoxon test showed differences in the level of knowledge before and after in the intervention and control groups showed a significant value 0,001 (p<0,05) Ha accepted means that there is an effect of education about diarrhea using leaflet media on the level of mother’s knowledge in preventing of diarrhea in children at Wonoasih Public Health Center, Probolinggo City. The Exclusive Breastfeeding has been shown to have an impact better on health growth, development, and all the impacts short and long term, but there are still many mothers who do not provide exclusive breastfeeding. One of the reasons mom does not provide exclusive breastfeeding to the baby was due to the release of breast milk that was not smooth that happened due to inhibition of the hormone prolactin which produces breast milk. Rolling Massase Technique was one action which gives a relaxing sensation to the mother and smooth the flow of nerves as well as the milk duct. The purpose of this research was to know the influence of rooling massage techniques on the smooth release of breast milk  in third trimester pregnant women in the work area In Public Health Center Of Batunadua 2020. This type of research was quantitative research with a quasi experimental design used the Post Test Only Design with Control Group design. The population in this study are all trimester III pregnant women who came to the Public Health Center Of Batunadua as many as 32 people. The sample in this study was 16 people in the intervention group and 16 people in the control group   by used accidental sampling method.  The analysis used was the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that massage rooling technique effect on smoothness expressing breastmilk in pregnant women Trimester III with p value = 0.008 (p <0.05). It was hoped that the Public  Health Center Of Batunadua In  Padangsdimpuan to do health education or health promotion which can be given to pregnant women  to prepare for smooth operation expressing breastmilk like  perform rooling massage technique.

Background: Breast milk is the main source of nutrition for babies from birth until they are able to digest other nutritional sources after 6 months of age. Failure in the breastfeeding process is often caused by maternal factors, namely breastfeeding. Actions to facilitate milk production include the oxytocin massage method.Objective: The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of oxytocin massage compared to counseling on breastfeeding techniques using leaflets on the milk production of primiparous postpartum mothers.Methods: The study used a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design. The sample selection was accidental sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria, which consisted of 30 postpartum mothers who were divided into 2 groups, 15 respondents were given oxytocin massage and 15 respondents were given leaflets. The data analysis method was univariate and bivariate using Paired T-test and Independent T-test.Results: The results showed that the oxytocin massage treatment had a p-value= 0.000 (p < 0.05) meaning that there was a difference between before and after treatment. The control group had a p-value= 0.432 (p > 0.05) meaning that there was no difference between before and after treatment. There was a significant difference between the treatment group compared to the control group.Conclusion: Oxytocin massage has a significant effect in increasing milk production in primiparous postpartum mothers. Oxytocin massage is more effective than counseling using leaflet media to increase breast milk production.

One of the pharmaceutical services that can be done by pharmacists is counseling. Counseling lead to increase the obedience to taking medication in reduce hypertension. The objective of this research is to evaluate the obedience to drug therapy of hypertensive patient which already get counseling by pharmacists in Public Health Center in Semarang. This research was carried out by cross sectional design. The research was conducted towards 40 patients who were willing to take part in the research by filling out inform consent. “Pill count” method was used to evaluate the obedience level by counting the remaining drug for 1 month starting from the beginning until the end of July 2019. These results will be analyzed by chi-square test to determine the relationship between the characteristics and the obedience level. Wilcoxon test was done to determine the differences in groups before and after given counseling. The results showed that there was a significant decrease in systolic and diastolik pressure (p = 0,000). Chi-square test results showed that counseling given by pharmacists had no significance effect related to the obedience to drug therapy of hypertensive prolanis patient with a statistic of p> 0.05.
