Despite the great creators’ efforts of e-learning educational materials, it is not possible to define the content of these materials specifically for all students. Based on this, it is necessary to provide in e-learning education the possibility of a more detailed interpretation of specific parts of the educational material that may be unclear to specific students. Based on this fact, we decided to take the first step in the form of software design, which will represent a virtual assistant in teaching computer science. The role of this assistant will be the ability to answer technical questions related to the presented curriculum. From an architectural point of view, it will be a set of micro-services, each of which will serve a specific task. The prerequisite is the use of decision trees to determine a specific micro-service, which will be implemented in the form of a neural network. Main aim of this paper is to provide detail description of global software architecture for such a virtual assistant

This study aims to evaluate the role of Cloud Computing in enhancing teaching and learning in Saudi Arabian government universities in the backdrop of the four principles of Social Constructivism Theory - social interaction, previous experience, activity of a learner, and the development of mental skills; all these have to be examined form the specialist’s point of view as he will be responsible for integrating technology into the processes for supporting the whole ecosystem. The study was conducted at 29 Saudi Arabian government universities, using a quantitative approach based on a Questionnaire. The study sample consisted of 84 Deans and Vice Deans of E-learning across all Saudi government universities, in the Academic Year 2016/2017. The results revealed a significant role for Cloud Computing for teaching and learning enhancement in the Saudi Arabian universities in accordance with the construct outlined above.

Although less well established than in other parts of the world, higher education institutions in German-speaking countries have seen a marked increase in the number of open educational resource (OER) initiatives and in government-supported OER funding in recent years. OER implementation, however, brings with it a unique set of challenges in German-speaking higher education contexts, stemming in part from copyright laws and use permissions that have made sharing and reuse of educational materials less prevalent. The article discusses how instructional development centers, including university didactics centers (hochschuldidaktische Zentren) and e-learning centers, can play a key role in faculty uptake and adoption of OER, and concludes by proposing a set of OER implementation guidelines that leverage the expertise and interfacing role of these centers in German-speaking countries.

The article considers discussion as an active approach to teaching foreign languages and the development of communicative competencies, given the use of a communicative approach to learning. The phenomenon of discussion, stages of its organization, presence of discussion tasks in educational materials are analyzed. The possibility of using discussion in foreign language classes as an interactive form of learning is considered. It was found that the main task of the discussion is to involve different points of view in the active discussion of problems in a foreign language, which, in turn, stimulates the cognitive interest of students. The main role of the teacher in ensuring the effectiveness of the discussion in the classroom is determined. The results of research on the efficacy of discussion show that the correct use of this method will increase the effectiveness of foreign language classes. Wide application of the method of discussion in solving problem situations promotes the development of logical, independent and critical thinking of students, allows them to acquire important personal and social activities skills to express and defend their point of view and at the same time listen to other people's opinions.

The rhythm of modern life and the widespread dissemination of digital technology leads us to the need to review traditional education systems. Opportunities for realizing the potential inherent in electronic training systems are revealed only if they are used. Expanding the range of educational materials used due to the possibility of multimedia tools allows improving the quality and speed of assimilation of the material. The possibilities of e-learning using multimedia technologies increase the visibility and attractiveness of educational content. Also, these technologies make it possible to demonstrate in the educational process such material that previously due to its nature (complexity, high cost, inaccessibility) could not be widely used Effective use of the opportunities provided by the Internet allows you to implement incredibly flexible and adaptive training programs. The student’s access to educational material at any convenient time from any convenient point allows the formation of the most effective curriculum program, which increases the digestibility of educational material.

Every new global era demands a rethinking of the roles of the lecturer, especially with the widespread introduction of mixed and e-learning in high schools/universities. From a historical point of view, the new socio-economic conditions of life alter the requirements imposed on the roles, which leads to the emergence of new ones and their modification, and this process is observed especially well in the professional roles of the socio-occupation professions, such as the profession of the teacher. The conceptual framework of the research outlines the roles of the teacher to create a supportive environment in the e-learning environment. The professional role requires mastering and maintenance in a sustainable state of special professional knowledge, skills, and competencies. This implies various mutable rights and obligations, which once again leads to the conclusion that the new roles of teachers are necessary to create a supportive environment in e-learning. The aim of the research is to define the leading roles of the lecturers (according to the opinion and the preferences of the student) when creating the appropriate environment for the students in the era of e-learning. The study was carried out among the bachelor's degree students of the Faculty of Technics and Technology – Yambol. In conclusion, in e-learning, lecturers have many leading roles, sometimes overlapping. Some leadership roles have officially defined responsibilities, others are more informal when they interact with their partners. Role variation ensures that teachers can find the appropriate behavior and initiative that matches their talents and interests, and the needs and requirements of the learners. In order to build a supportive environment in e-learning, the lecturer should play the role of the distant tutor, Moderator and Facilitator, that creates a Positive Atmosphere, Distance Learning Curator, Diagnostic – prognostic, formulating the learning objectives and tasks giving contemporary feedback, precise and clear guidelines for the course objectives, organizing and coordinating the activity.

This study aims at exploring the forms, benefits and obstacles of distance education during COVID-19 pandemic. The study adopted the cross-sectional research approach. A sample of 377 university students were conveniently recruited during the second semester of the academic year 2020/2021. The researchers developed a valid and reliable questionnaire that consisted of three parts; they were investigating forms of distance education, benefits of distance education, and obstacles of distance education during COVID-19 pandemic. The results of the study indicated that synchronous e-learning and using social media channels were the mostly used means to deliver the educational material during the COVID-19 period. Reduction of the expenses and better academic performance were reported to be the most achieved benefits by the students from distance learning during COVID-19 pandemic. The study concluded that distance education during COVID-19 imposed different forms of education that in turn imposed various benefits and obstacles for the students Keywords: COVID-19, distance education, Jordan, Cross-sectional, forms, benefits.
