COVID-19 has led to work from home (WFH) arrangement for many employees. Using the conservation of resources (COR) theory, this arrangement has been studied in detail both from a household perspective and an employees' perspective (with special emphasis on women employees). Aspects such as resource consumption in a household, how WFH has affected an organization, and the implications for working women have been examined. Households can now optimize resources based on the findings, and organizations can learn how to adapt to this new WFH reality. An in-depth interview-based qualitative methodology with 25 working women was used, in addition to analyzing their social media accounts and audio/video clips. This chapter will be useful for organizations to design work from home policies such as infrastructure, work timing, job motivation/incentives, role definition, and cybersecurity. Additionally, working women perspectives will be strengthened. The chapter ends by highlighting future areas of research.

This study aims to analyse the media management strategy of Indonesian television stations during the Covid-19 pandemic. In March 2020, an outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia affected the operations of broadcasting offices, which forced people to work from home. This situation affects the operations, strategy, and content of the television industry. The object of research is Kompas TV, one of the largest media companies in Indonesia, which was the first to implement a digital concept for its customers. The concepts of planning, organising, actuating, and controlling are used to analyse the strategies media utilised. The methodology employed for the current research takes the form of a case study by adopting the qualitative approach through an in-depth interview and observation. The results showed that Kompas TV, through its digital platform in the form of websites, YouTube channels, and social media, achieved an increase in the number of viewers, users, and engagement during the pandemic. In particular, the digital aspect does not only appear in communication, but also in the implementation of the Kompas TV strategy. The results of the study also revealed that strategies carried out on Kompas TV can be used as a model for other television in Indonesia to emulate, in order to sustain its business in times of crisis. Keywords: Strategy, broadcast management, Indonesia television station, pandemic Covid-19, qualitative research.

This article is based on the role of female lecturer as working women in assigning meaning and building her marriage. Several perspectives were used as theoretical framework, i.e. Phenomenology, and Social Construction of Reality.  Subjects for research were purposefully sampled, and consisted of six female lecturer in Unisba. This research employed in-depth interview as data collecting technique. This research has resulted in some findings. Marriage behavior is actually a conscious action, means that it doesn’t exist in one consciousness without special effort to comprehend it. Furthermore, marriage behavior is based on goals which could be clustered to normative, psychological, social and economy goals. Meanwhile, adjustment in marriage appeared on some phases faced by husband and wife as couple.  Ideal communication situation was enabled based on support, trust, openness, and proper time.

Compared to traditional ways of annotating multimedia resources (textual documents, photographs, audio/video clips etc.) by keywords in form of text fragments, semantic annotations are based on tagging such multimedia resources with meaning of objects (like cultural/historical artifacts) the resource is dealing with. The search for multimedia resources stored in a repository enriched with semantic annotations makes use of an appropriate reasoning algorithm. Knowledge management and Semantic Web communities have developed a number of relevant formalisms and methods. This chapter is motivated by practical experience with authoring of semantic annotations of cultural heritage related resources/objects. Keeping this experience in mind, the chapter compares various knowledge representation techniques, like frame-based formalisms, RDF(S), and description logics based formalisms from the viewpoint of their appropriateness for resource annotations and their ability to automatically support the semantic annotation process through advanced inference services, like error explanations and expressive construct modeling, namely n-ary relations.

already experiencing significant revenue and job losses. The ability to ‘Work from Home’ (WFH) can helpdamp down the impact of the situation, undoubtedly. Overall, the effects of WFH arrangements rely a loton the job status of parents and presence of dependents (children & elderly), and this current situation islikely to intensify these differences. It does not necessarily mean, however, that the effect of the crisisshould inevitably be gender neutral. Working women have been particularly affected. It seems to be veryfascinating to work from home, while sitting on a comfortable couch, casually dressed, even sometimesin sleep suits, without stepping out in scorching heat and wasting time in traveling, but this may not be apreferred situation for everybody, especially women. The most significant impact on working womenduring the crisis will be trying to balance household demands, childcare needs and work demands. The group most likely to be hardest hit then would be lower income families with young children, and singlemothers in particular. Generally women are in charge of planning, organizing and recalling of everythingthat needs to be remembered. The mental stress and load that comes with such work has risenexponentially in present circumstances. Even though many countries are relied on lockdown to controlwidespread of COVID-19 pandemic, the mental problems such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, suicidalthoughts and other psychological trauma are most common in case of normal individual and extensive incase of people who are psychologically ill. Females are more prone to psychological distress. The mainconcern is to manage and provide opportunities for regulation of stress caused due to anxiety and lack ofpeer contact. Another main threat is an increased risk of parents to develop mental illness, women mayalso suffer from domestic violence and consequently it results child maltreatment. The current scenariomay be particularly challenging especially for children and adolescents with special needs ordisadvantages, such as disabilities, also if someone has prior trauma experiences, undiagnosed mentalhealth problems, background of migration and low socioeconomic status.Dr. Sana HassanUniversity College of Medicine and Dentistry,The University of Lahore, Teaching Hospital,Lahore, Pakistan

The objective of this research was to investigate vocational students’ perception on learning technical vocabularies through Vocabulary Self-Collection Strategy. This research provides two research questions, 1) In what ways Vocabulary Self-Collection Strategy facilitate students in learning technical vocabulary? 2) What are the constraints of the students in the learning of technical vocabulary using Vocabulary Self-Collection Strategy? This research was using qualitative methodology and virtual classroom action research as a research design due to the pandemic of Covid-19. The participants of this research are grade 10th students of audio-video engineering from one of vocational high school in Karawang, West Java, Indonesia. A chosen audio-video engineering journal was distributed in order for the students to explored and selected new important words and added the information they got from it to vocabulary self-collection strategy (VSS) chart. And also semi-structured interviews have completed to know their perception on vocabulary self-collection strategy during learning technical vocabulary using VSS (selecting and nominating new words). The result of this study showed that vocabulary self-collection strategy had positive impacts to students’ vocabulary size, their ability to comprehend text and the constraints that the students had during the VSS process.

Most electroencephalography (EEG) based emotion recognition systems make use of videos and images as stimuli. Few used sounds, and even fewer studies were found involving self-induced emotions. Furthermore, most of the studies rely on single stimuli to evoke emotions. The question of “whether different stimuli for same emotion elicitation generate any subject-independent correlations” remains unanswered. This paper introduces a dual modality based emotion elicitation paradigm to investigate if emotions can be classified induced with different stimuli. A method has been proposed based on common spatial pattern (CSP) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) to analyze human brain signals for fear emotions evoked with two different stimuli. Self-induced emotional imagery is one of the considered stimuli, while audio/video clips are used as the other stimuli. The method extracts features from the CSP algorithm and LDA performs classification. To investigate associated EEG correlations, a spectral analysis was performed. To further improve the performance, CSP was compared with other regularized techniques. Critical EEG channels are identified based on spatial filter weights. To the best of our knowledge, our work provides the first contribution for the assessment of EEG correlations in the case of self versus video induced emotions captured with a commercial grade EEG device.

AbstractWhile the use of well as an intensifier of most adjectives had supposedly died out by Early Modern English (Fettig 1934: 186, Mustanoja 1960: 327, Stenström 2000: 188, Ito and Taglimonte 2003: 278), no studies have empirically examined its frequency diachronically. The present study traces its use from Early Modern English (1560) to Present Day English, (2014) using five speech-related corpora in addition to various dialectal sources and audio/video clips. Results indicate that this use was retained in some dialects of English despite not being attested in the Corpus of English Dialogues nor the Old Bailey Corpus, which document predominantly the incipient standard variety. A qualitative analysis of its use reveals a potential diachronic shift in its stress pattern and the scale structure of its intensified heads. Moreover, the present study discusses some of the methodological challenges which arise when using historical corpora to investigate linguistic change, drawing particular attention to sample representativeness and data analysis.
