The culturological direction of professional training of future foreign languages teachers as one of pedagogical conditions of formation of linguoculturological competence is considered and substantiated. The culturological direction of professional training of future teachers is focused on the priority of the role of culture in human life, especially in education. The education system is considered as a social institution for the development of individuality as a subject of culture. Given that culture is an individually mastered spiritual values, the purpose of education is to create a person as an individuality: the development of his spiritual strength, abilities, needs, education of morally responsible and socially adapted person. Thus the content of education is culture, and the way to introduce such content in the professional education of future foreign languages teachers in particular is a culturological approach, which involves close interaction of language and culture, namely language awareness as a cultural phenomenon and promotes intercultural consciousness. The linguistic personality is the bearer not only of spiritual, but also of national and cultural values, which form the central part of the national picture of the world, having different ways of linguistic expression. Consciousness is the acquired quality of personality and social system of knowledge, fixed in the language. Therefore language as a cultural phenomenon in such case appears as the means of forming the consciousness and mentality of the linguistic personality, as well as an indicator of the level of its formation. Multicultural consciousness is the ability of the person to perceive, understand and comprehend the phenomena of the multicultural world that based on self-awareness of the subject of culture through the unity of representations and knowledge about the peculiarity of cultures, systems of their values, necessary for interaction with representatives of other nationalities, solving professional problems in terms of intercultural interaction relying on cooperation and tolerant behavior. The essence of culturological direction in the professional training of future foreign languages teachers is close to the essence of linguoculturilogical competence, which is based on the relationship of language as a cultural phenomenon and linguistic personality as a representative of culture, and therefore a certain national consciousness. This can along with other pedagogical conditions ensure the success of the formation of linguoculturilogical competence of future foreign language teachers.

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study demonstrated how Armenian Massacres as crime fiction developed in response to finding their identity by tracing the ethnic criminal or heritage against their descendants. Besides, by looking at this genocide against the Armenian racial, I found it increasingly difficult to ignore the link between self-identity and the race criminalization conducted by the authority Methodology: In this study, the writer implemented New Historicism theory by looking at the historical background, and combined with Horney Psychoanalysis of Personality, through the activities conducted by the characters. Then, through analyzing the plot and the whole story, the writer found that self-awareness of those characters could be seen in different forms and cultures. Based on those theories that people who know themselves will know what they think, feel, and believe; they will be able to take responsibility for themselves and be able to determine their values by reflecting their personality Main Findings: Self-identity and Armenian descendants could be portrayed significantly, and they were very appropriate with the identity of the characters shown in the texts. Here, the writer also found that a novelist like Tom Frist (2015) used the backdrop of massacres to write about the inner lives of Turkish criminals. He focused directly on the narrative dilemmas posed by American Armenian. His work attempted to uncouple race from crime, and this writer showed us how massacres fiction became a necessary identity form for American Armenian who lived as migration and diaspora. Applications of this study: So, the study of Armenian descendants was not only useful for a literary critic but also presented the history and ethnic cleansing in Turkey. And through this analysis, we learned more about the bitter experiences faced by deportees as shown in the setting places and the author’s perspective. Novelty/Originality of this study: Finally, I believed that tracing the Armenian descendants and self-identity was fascinating by identifying the characters shown in the novel.

This article examines how Nigeria's core values are being redefined in the face of the new media and cultural globalisation era; it identifies Nigeria's core values to include age, greeting, dressing, among others. The questionnaire was used as an instrument to elicit data from the sampled population (Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State). Findings show that the Internet, especially, is changing Nigeria's core values. Based on the findings, the paper concludes that Nigerians, especially the youths no longer have regards for their culture; rather, they value foreign culture. Also, the paper concludes that globalisation and global culture is gradually eroding Nigeria's core values as people no longer have regards for their local culture; rather they value the foreign culture. The paper, among others, recommends that the media in Nigeria should adequately transmit local programmes in order to genuinely reflect indigenous culture. The media no doubt, plays a significant role in projecting and reflecting culture. In doing so, indigenous culture should be adequately reflected through sufficient airing of programmes with local content to prevent dominance of Western values over indigenous values and the local languages be instituted in Nigerian school system and monitored to ensure local dialects are learnt and spoken. In this way, the youths will learn to attach value to their culture right from their formative years.

The purpose of this article is to illustrate how mixed methods research can be applied as a rigorous method for developing a quantitative instrument responsive to an indigenous culture in Malaysia. In a sequential research design, a three-round Delphi study was conducted to integrate open-ended and free-listing data, and to generate a list of items. The items were subjected to a field test to ensure reliability. A correspondence analysis of scale was employed to examine the validity of the instrument. This research contributes to mixed methods by illustrating the value of Delphi groups as part of a mixed methods research design and the utility of mixed methods research in advancing the validity and reliability of an indigenous cultural values instrument.

The article analyzes the attention to the deep essence of myth as a scientific phenomenon, which is the primary form of awareness of the world both in ontogenesis and in human phylogenesis. The myth is interpreted as a special way of mastering the world, which directly affects the socialization of an individual at different stages of his development. The features of the influence of family myth as the initial form of personality mythologization on the formation of a teenager’s own myth are studied. The existence of such function as the mythologization of family stories and stories in the structure of personality consciousness determines the constructive or destructive possibilities of forming own image, and in general can affect the assimilation and use of basic behavioral patterns of personality. The role of an adolescent’s self-relation to the formation of a personal myth is clarified, which is expressed in the context of a person’s ideas about the content of the “Self” as a generalized sense of self. Adolescence is sensitive to the development of self-identity and the development of reflection as an indisputable thought process that is aimed at self-awareness, analysis and understanding of all components of a person’s life, which include: actions, speech, feelings, abilities, interpersonal relationships, character and so on. A generalized description of the components of the structure of mythological consciousness is provided: the awareness of attitudes, restructuring of stereotypes, reflexive ability, as a qualitatively new level of personality selfawareness, as a stage of growing up. The factors contributing to the formation of an effective personal myth, as well as the factors of the problem of formation of an effective personal myth among teens, are identified. It is shown that the existence of such a function as the mythologization of family stories and stories in the structure of family consciousness may be similar to the function of socio-cultural myth, expressed in a smaller format, which determines constructively or destructively the possibilities of forming someone’s own image, and in general can influence and cause the use of basic behavioral patterns of personality.

According to the aim (to identify the features of the connection of fears, phobias, anxiety with self-esteem of adolescence), an empirical study was conducted, in which the respondents were representatives of school and student youth, namely 120 people: 60 students of 10-11 grades (15-17 years) of Vyshhorod comprehensive school No2 and No3. This sample was chosen not by chance. After all, it is in adolescence is the active development and formation of all components of self-awareness, including self-esteem. According to the age periodization of M. Savchyn and L. Vasylenko, adolescence is divided into two groups: representatives of early youth (15-18 years) and late youth (18-23 years) or senior school and student age. The presented study covers only certain aspects of such a complex phenomenon as self-assessment. As its subject was the socio- psychological features of self-attitude of adolescents and young people, other social and age categories, as well as socio-psychological factors influencing the features of self-attitude, in particular: financial status, degree of self-realization and more. The study of this problem requires further comprehensive research, because adequate positive self-attitude is the most optimal for the formation and development of personality, determines the achievement of its inner harmony. In our further study of self-assessment, a promising direction, in our opinion, is to clarify the features of this phenomenon in other age groups. Consideration of the influence of gender on the peculiarities of self-assessment, in this perspective, will be useful in both theoretical and practical aspects.
