The major purposes of the study were to determine the extent of the problem faced by the farmers in bean cultivation and to explore the relationships between bean farmers’ selected characteristics with their problem faced. The study was conducted in four villages of two unions under Atghoria upazilla of Pabna District. Data were collected from a random sample of 106 bean farmers by using an interview schedule during 15 Dec, 2017 to 15 Jan, 2018. The highest proportion (71.70 percent) of the farmers faced medium overall problem in bean production, while 16.04 percent faced high and 12.26 percent faced low problem. Problem faced in non-availability of pesticides ranked 1st and this was followed by non-availability of fertilizers, lack of capital so on and least one lack of irrigation in bean cultivation ranked 28th. Correlation analysis indicated that education, training exposure, organizational participation, extension media contact and farmers’ knowledge had significant negative relationship with their problem faced. Age had significant positive relationship with their problem faced while family members, farm size, annual family income, bean cultivation area, and credit received by the farmers had no significant relationship with their problem faced. Overwhelming (87.74) majority of bean farmers faced medium to high problems therefore, it may be said that problem faced by the farmers in bean cultivation is a serious issue to be addressed to maximize bean production.Res. This study aimed to identify the learning methods based on the flipped classroom model among UPSI’s Geography students, focusing on the students who have completed university education courses including the courses that implement flipped classroom in line with the 21st Century Approach. A quantitative approach was applied in this study using a questionnaire as a research instrument. The study respondents included 92 samples from a total population of 120 students selected through simple random sampling. The questionnaire items constructed involved three variables, namely knowledge, readiness and usage of flipped classroom. A descriptive analysis was used to examine the level of knowledge, readiness and usage variables. The Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship of each study variable, and regression analysis was used for the purpose of analyzing the influence and contribution of knowledge and readiness variables on the usage of flipped classroom. The findings of the study showed that the students had a moderate level of flipped classroom knowledge (Mean=2.97, SP=0.18), a moderate level of flipped classroom readiness (Mean=2.83, SP=0.44) and a moderate level of flipped classroom usage (Mean=2.78, SP=0.42). Further, the findings of the Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a strong and significant positive relationship between flipped classroom knowledge and flipped classroom readiness among the students (r=.508, p<0.01), moderate and significant positive relationship between flipped classroom knowledge towards flipped classroom usage among the students (r=.487, p<0.01) and a strong and significant positive relationship between flipped classroom readiness and flipped classroom usage among the students (r=.509, p<0.01). The regression analysis showed that flipped classroom readiness had given a higher influence and contribution than flipped classroom knowledge among the students. The influence of the contribution of the flipped classroom readiness variable on flipped classroom usage among the students was 25.9 percent with the values of R2=0.329, F=21.862, p<0.05. In conclusion, the prospective UPSI’s Geography educators have not yet mastered the flipped classroom learning strategies. The implications of this implementation of flipped classroom study can be used as a guide and direction for the students in increasing their knowledge and readiness as educators in carrying out a variety of activity usages through access to learning materials, in line with the 21st Century Learning goals.

The present study aimed to detect and compare the most preferred teaching styles by Iranian English teachers in public schools and private language institutes and investigate the possible relationship between EFL teachers’ teaching styles and aspects of their emotional intelligence.  The participants were 100 EFL teachers from public schools and private language institutes in Iran, Shiraz. The Persian version of the Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory and Grasha’s Style Inventory (TSI) was used to measure the teachers’ emotional intelligence and teaching styles, respectively. Concerning teaching style preference, formal authority style for EFL teachers of schools and facilitator style for teachers of the private institute was the most preferred styles. In addition, the least preferred styles were ‘delegator’ and ‘formal authority’ styles for public school teachers and private institute teachers, respectively. Regarding emotional intelligence, the lowest mean scores were observed in the Stress Management dimension, and the highest was related to the General Mood dimension. Furthermore, ‘general mood’, as a dimension of emotional intelligence, was highly correlated with ‘formal authority’ and ‘expert style’, both of which were public school teachers’ preferred styles. Public School teachers were relatively weak at using ‘personal model’, ‘facilitator’, and ‘delegator’ teaching styles. Thus, it is recommended that they adapt themselves to these styles.
