This paper is part of the broader research to investigate Malaysian university student’s veiling pattern and their motives to adopt and using veiling. This paper particularly focuses on relationship between religious motives and the personal wish or family pressure as the reason of using veiling articles among Malaysian Muslim University students. The data were collected through survey method with the help of a closed ended questionnaire from 335 female (Muslim and non-Muslim) university students of University Malaysia Perlis. After processing of Data 255 cases of veiling Muslim university students were included in this research paper. The research tool for this research study comprises of three broader main scales to assess the practice of veiling due to religious motives, personal wish, and family pressure among these students. The data were analyzed to identify the relationship between religious motives behind veiling and the choice made by the student’s personal wish for veiling or due to their family pressure to veil by applying Pearson correlation. The results show a statistically significant positive relationship between religious motives and the personal wish of veiling among Malaysian Muslim university students.

This study aims to examine the relationship between university students’ perceived health outcomes and happiness levels that result from engaging in recreational activities. The study evaluates this relationship using certain variables. The data were gathered from 652 students from various universities in Turkey. Appropriate sampling methods were used. The initial findings indicate that the highest score was obtained in the ‘improvement condition’ of health outcomes among university students. It shows that they are more likely to engage with physical activities for health purposes. Furthermore, all sub-dimensions of PHORS and the happiness scale significantly differed according to income and active-passive participation variables. This study further demonstrates a significant positive relationship between perceived health outcomes sub-scales and happiness among the students.

Abstract Purpose of the study: This research study explores the relationship between life satisfaction, self-esteem, and academic performance of university students. Methodology: A quantitative approach was used to explore the relationship among life satisfaction, self-esteem, and academic performance of university students. In this study, a survey method was employed to collect quantitative data on life satisfaction, self-esteem, and academic performance from 575 students studying in three different public universities of Punjab (Pakistan). A self-esteem scale as a survey instrument initially developed by Rosenberg (1965) and a life satisfaction scale developed by Gilligan and Huebner (2002) were used to collect data. A third scale was developed by the researchers to measure the students’ academic performance. The assembled data were statistically examined using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation by using SPSS 20th Version. Results: Findings of the study reveal that the level of life satisfaction among university students is comparatively higher than the presence of self-esteem and academic performance. Findings of the study show significant positive associations of university students’ academic performance with their life satisfaction and self-esteem. Applications of this study: This study helps strengthen the factors that promote university students’ academic performance. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study is to explore the relationship among life satisfaction, self-esteem, and academic performance of university students for strengthening different dimensions of life satisfaction and self-esteem which ultimately promote university students’ academic performance.

The study aims to determine the relationship between age and the relationship between body weight and the selling price of cattle. This research was conducted in the District of Ranomeeto Konawe Selatan District, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The material used was 72 male Bali cattle. The parameters observed were selling price, age, and body weight using the Winter formula which uses chest circumference, body length, and shoulder height as estimators and using a digital scale. The research method used in the study is a survey method with the Pearson correlation analysis model. Based on the discussion and the results of the analysis show that there is a very strong and positive relationship between age and body weight with the selling price of male Bali cattle in Ranomeeto District, Konawe Selatan Regency, namely between body weight and selling price has the highest coefficient value. Consequently, the coefficient value between age and selling price is 0.886 while between body weight and selling price the coefficient value is 0.952.

Purpose – Empirical studies in relation to employability development opportunities (EDOs) and university students’ enhanced employability are few, especially in Nigeria. The purpose of this paper is to assess the extent of university students’ engagement with EDOs and to empirically establish the extent of the relationship between these EDOs and students’ enhanced employability. Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected from 600 final-year university students in Nigeria with the use of an adapted questionnaire. The 29 items on the questionnaire were subjected to an exploratory factor analysis in which 28 loaded under six factors which were used for further analysis. Findings – Results indicate that at Nigerian universities students are engaging with all the EDOs to a moderately sufficient extent. Findings also show that there is a significant positive relationship between EDOs and students’ enhanced employability. Besides, considering the relative contribution of each of the EDOs to students’ enhanced employability, real-world activities make the highest contribution. Extracurricular activities were found to have no significant relationship with students’ enhanced employability. Research limitations/implications – Not all the EDOs are measured in the study. Originality/value – Apart from empirically confirming the significant positive relationship between EDOs and university students’ enhanced employability, the study has established the relative contribution of each of these EDOs, which is a major contribution to the limited existing body of knowledge on university students’ employability.

The fast-paced change in schools demands high level of adaptability. Several factors have been explored through research that affects employees’ adaptability. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between employees’ perception of leaders’ efficacy and its impact on their adaptive performance. A sample of 266 academic & administrative employees was randomly selected from 50 private secondary schools of Lahore Pakistan. Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analysis were run for data analysis and significant positive relationship was found between employees’ perception of leaders’ efficacy and their adaptive performance.

This study aims to determine the relationship between psychological capital and subjective career success in millennial generation employees. This study involved 129 millennial generation employees. The type of design of this research is correlational. The measuring instrument used of two questionnare, namely psychological capital questionnaire (PCQ) and subjective career success inventory (SCSI). Data processing with Pearson correlation. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between psychological capital and subjective career success in millennial generation employees (r(127)=0.551, sig (2-tailed)=0.000). Thus, the higher the psychological capital owned by millennial generation employees, the higher the subjective career success of millennial employees.   Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara psychological capital dengan subjective career success pada karyawan generasi milenial. Penelitian ini melibatkan 129 karyawan generasi milenial. Subjek dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Jenis desain dari penelitian ini adalah korelasional. Alat ukur yang digunakan terdiri dari dua alat ukur, yaitu psychological capital questionnaire (PCQ) dan subjective career success inventory (SCSI). Pengolahan data dengan uji korelasi pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara psychological capital dengan subjective career success pada karyawan generasi milenial (r(127)=0.551, sig (2-tailed)=0.000). Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi psychological capital yang dimiliki oleh karyawan generasi milenial maka semakin tinggi subjective career success karyawan generasi milenial.

The purpose of present research is to study the effect of COVID-19 Pandemic on the relationship between Optimism and Resilience among the university students. Optimism and Resilience of 100 university students (36 males and 64 females) were assessed by using optimism pessimism scale and a brief resilience scale. Digital survey method was adopted to reach out to the university students between 18-23 yrs. of age group and Pearson correlation coefficient method was used to establish the relationship between the variables. As a result, it was found that optimism and resilience share a positive relationship (0.507) not only otherwise but in the challenging times too. Findings revealed that to increase the resilience one has to increase the positive and optimistic thoughts. The research can add value to the detailed study on optimism and its relation with resilience and psychological well-being during unforeseen period. This study also gives further opportunity for a comparative study between the optimism and resilience among different age groups.

Love is more than a close friendship. It acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationship. Love is positive in nature and leaves a positive affect on every individual. An individual in love not only feels positive but spreads positivity around. They smile, be kind to other people, behave compassionately with everyone. If the person is happy then he is likely to be psychologically and emotionally healthy. The current study aimed at understanding the relationship between love, affect and wellbeing among young females aged between 20-25 years. The study reported a significant positive relationship between love and positive affect with the significant correlation of 0.29 at 0.05 levels (p<0.05). It was also found a significant positive relationship between love and wellbeing with the significant correlation of 0.58 at 0.01 level (p<0.01). This means that people in love experience positive emotions and healthy wellbeing. The correlation between love and negative affect came out to be insignificant. The correlation turned out to be -0.13. This means that people in love do not experience negative emotions.

Employee turnover has become a key performance indicator for many organizations as they struggle to retain talented employees. The negative impact of turnover on organizational performance has continually forced organizational leaders to seek better ways of retaining valuable employees. The relationship between man and work has always attracted the attention of philosophers. A major part of men’s life is spent at work. Work is social reality and social expectation to which men seem to conform. It not only provides status to the individual but also binds him to the society. An employee who is satisfied with his job would perform his duties well and be committed to his job, and subsequently to his organization. This paper examines relationship among job satisfaction, organizational commitment and employees’ turnover intentions at Unilever Corporation in Nigeria. The data for this study was collected from 117 employees currently working at Unilever Nigeria PLC using the survey method via the questionnaire. Pearson Correlation and the multiple regression analysis techniques using the SPSS version 22.0 was used for the data analysis. The findings of the study revealed that both job satisfaction and organizational commitment have significant negative relationship with employee turnover intentions. In addition, organizational commitment was revealed to have a more dorminant influence on employee turnover intentions than job satisfaction. Based on these findings, the implications, recommendations, practice, and theory were discussed.

Abstract In this research on the one hand we analyzed the relationship that exists in terms of motivational persistence and the Big Five dimensions and, on the other hand, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The results show that the conscientiousness has been identified as being in a significant positive relationship with OCB. This result is consistent with the data provided by previous researchers. The results also indicate that three conscientiousness facets are in a positive relationship with OCB. These three conscientiousness facets are self-efficacy, cautiousness and orderliness. Agreeableness was not identified as being associated with OCB. At the level of the relationship between motivational persistence factors and OCB, we have identified a significant positive relationship with only one factor: current purpose pursuing. The OCB model has two variables that work best as predictors: high scores with regard to current purpose in terms of the pursuing-motivational persistence factor, and low scores in terms of the imagination-facet of openness to experience.
