Abstract Different concentrations of Neem Azal-T/S were used in an artificial diet, to study the mortality of the greater wax moth Galleria mellonella. A Neem formulation and different ages of natural beeswax combs were used for the effective management of the wax moth. While the diet was being prepared, Neem Azal-T/S was directly added ensure that the Neem formulation was distributed evenly in the diet at concentrations of 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, and 4%. The obtained results showed that the different concentrations of Neem Azal-T/S mixed in the prepared artificial diet had a significant efficacy against the tested 2nd instar larvae. An outstanding elongation of the 2nd larval instar was clear in comparison with the control, even at the least tested concentration (0.25%). Neem Azal-T/S at 4, 2,1, and 0.5% caused 100% mortality for all tested larvae. When using a 4% concentration, all the tested larvae died in the 2nd instar. However, when using a 2% concentration, the larvae died in the fifth instar. When using a decreased concentration of 1.0 and 0.5%, some of the larvae were tolerant and lived till the 6th instar. Feeding the larvae on beeswax combs treated with 2% Neem Azal-T/S, caused 100% mortality when fed on very old wax. When the diet was old wax treated with 2% Neem Azal-T/S, a 91% mortality was recorded. When the diet was new wax treated with 2% Neem Azal-T/S, a 90% mortality was recorded. A 4% Neem formulation caused mortality for all larvae during the first week of treatment on the different tested ages of beeswax combs.

Hyperthyroidism is one of the most common disorder of Thyroid gland which is increasing day by day globally especially in developing countries. Ayurvedic classics have no direct reference of Hyperthyroidism. Considering various factors, it can be compared with Atyagni or Tikshnagni or Bhasmaka Roga (related to increased agni). Approaximately 300 million people worldwide are affected by thyroid dysfunction as it is a common endocrine disorder. Globally about 1-5% population are affected by hyperthyroidism. The prevalence of thyroid disorders in Nepalese population is 4.32% and among them 13.7% population has Hyperthyroidism. Available treatments of Hyperthyroidism in contemporary medicine cause lots of adverse effects and complications in the long run. So, it is very necessary to find out an effective alternative treatment for hyperthyroidism. Therefore this study was an attempt to get the understanding of disease Hyperthyroidism as per Ayurveda through various Ayurvedic principles so as to set its management strategies. The term thyrotoxicosis identifies the clinical syndrome caused by elevated circulating thyroid hormones of all sources, while the term hyperthyroidism includes only the disorders due to an increased secretion of hormones by the thyroid gland. Hyperthyroidism is the most frequent cause of thyrotoxicosis. Destructive processes involving the thyroid gland that induce unregulated discharge of preformed thyroid hormones (destructive thyrotoxicosis) and circulating thyroid hormone of extrathyroidal origin (exogenous or extrathyroidal thyrotoxicosis) are less common causes of thyrotoxicosis. Although careful history taking and physical examination often allows a diagnosis of thyrotoxicosis to be made, laboratory confirmation by measurement of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and thyroid hormone is always needed. Once thyrotoxicosis is confirmed, laboratory testing and thyroid imaging are required to identify the cause of thyrotoxicosis.

Muscle cramps are a common complaint. When not associated with weakness, the course is usually benign but can still be frustrating to patients. Diffuse cramping may be indicative of a neuromuscular disorder. Cramps can be associated with a metabolic or endocrine disorder or medications. Normal nerve conduction studies and electromyography are reassuring for a benign cause of cramps. In motor neuron disease cramps are common. There are rare spontaneous activity syndromes associated with cramping. Stiff person syndrome is rare and usually has severe axial rigidity. It can be treated with immune modulating medications. McArdles disease has a prominent symptom of diffuse muscle cramping associated with activity. Unfortunately not always will a specific cause for cramps be discovered. Various treatment modalities are presented.
