Observations play an important role in the process of teaching astronomical knowledge. Practical observations of astronomical phenomena lead to analysis and explanation based on natural laws and so form the basis of cognitive processes in the education. Evidently the observations are an integral part of acquiring astronomical knowledge. Giving up observations, no matter what the reasons, is equivalent to losing quality in the educational process. It decreases the possible influence over the personal development of pupils and students. At the same time, observation and observational results are important for success in education.Carefully planned observational time has a substantial influence on cognitive and educational processes. It leads to considerably more active participation in astronomy lectures.

At the onset of the crisis caused by COVID-19, the Mexican education system chose to join the global context and suspend face-to-face classes for all educational levels. For the continuity of educational processes, a transition from a traditional educational model (face-to-face) to emergency remote teaching (ERT) was made through virtual learning platforms and learning management system (LMS) schemes. Universidad del Valle de Mexico (UVM), in a collaboration agreement with Microsoft Co., chose to use Teams to continue its educational process. In this work, we intend to identify the factors that can be taken into account regarding the level of student satisfaction in the teaching–learning process in ERT using Teams, and validate the established educational strategy. Statistical analysis was carried out to analyze the academic environment for these scenario changes while considering knowledge assessment, and competencies achievement. A combined sampling method was applied with convenience and statistical analysis. The main results established significant percentages, where more than 60% of the students surveyed were manifested in the use of the teams and the organization of the class sessions by the teachers, and the activities developed. Using the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient, the reliability of the data collection instruments was determined. The correlations of each of the survey questions were calculated to determine the relationship between themselves and the total answers, giving results similar to those obtained through data science tools. Taking advantage of the situation, data science tools were applied to compare the results with obtained values from RapidMiner software in the correlation of factors in of 0.440, 0.384, 0.246, 0.048 and 0.384.

By pointing to the significance of the concept of resistance to learning, the paper is aimed at enhancing understanding of the attitude of pupils/students towards teachers, the teaching/learning process, educational process in general, and, consequently, learning outcomes. The concept refers to all oppositional behaviours of an individual in the educational context. The paper provides an overview of different ways of demonstrating resistance to learning and systematically presents different sources of this phenomenon, which can be explained by the developmental characteristics of the age, the very nature of the learning process, the characteristics of the teaching/ learning process, the nature of the relationship with the teacher and the relations within an institution (school/faculty), and the socio-cultural milieu from which the pupil/student comes. The interpretation of the phenomenon is placed within the social constructivist explanatory framework. The strategies and methods for overcoming resistance to learning have been proposed. The paper points to the necessity of an interdisciplinary approach and holistic understanding of pupils in the teaching process.

The present paper aims to identify the representations of final year students regarding their future career, by measuring the degree of satisfaction regarding the way in which the educational process (teaching-learning-evaluation axis) took place and by analysing their beliefs regarding the place and importance of the engineering profession on the labour market, in order to customize career counselling and orientation services. All these elements are revealed afterwards in the form of academic results obtained by students and their insertion rate into the labour market after graduation, representing a relevant feedback regarding the quality of the education process. As research method we have used the survey-based research, on a lot of 100 students from the first study year from the Faculty of IMST. The data was processed using the IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) Software Suite and the result emphasizes a significant percentage of positive beliefs regarding the profession and one’s own professional route.

AbstractThis article presents a case study of two subjects: an investigation in which the authors assessedthe reading comprehension strategies as a fundamental component for the Social communication curriculum in PUCMM. The basic concepts on which the research is based are: reading comprehension and its critical aspects for students, academic literacy, reading strategies and teaching strategies. The findings are grouped into three areas: Reading and cognitive processes;students and their reading comprehension; and the role of teachers in the teaching-learning processes of reading

In the conditions of informatization of modern society and the introduction of new methods of communication, multimedia technologies facilitate the effective use of electronic teaching aids in the educational process. In recent decades, a number of scientists (I. Werner, M. Carmayer, L. Skibb, S. Hayfmeister, A. Chesnat, V. Volobuev, M. Afasyzhev) investigated the phenomenon of multimedia. The questions of the application of multimedia technologies in the educational process are also considered by researchers N. Anisimova, N. Voronova, Yu. Kazakov and, in particular, in the process of studying history, A. Telezhinsky, S. Telukhii and many others. But, despite the availability of certain theoretical achievements, the issue of using multimedia technologies in the educational process has not yet been sufficiently studied. Therefore, the aspect of their use in the process of studying subjects of the social and humanitarian cycle by future history teachers needs further thorough research. In the article, we determined that the combination of interactive, audiovisual and multimedia technologies contributes, for example, to the development of research skills in teaching history. They have a positive effect on improving the level of academic achievement and better learning of historical knowledge, developing skills to critically treat certain historical events and the use of acquired knowledge in life. Therefore, in the context of organizing multimedia learning in the study of history, one can speak of the emergence of a special interdisciplinary scientific field that updates and modernises the process of teaching-learning and improves its efficiency through broad access to information sources and the processing of educational tasks; provision of feedback, interactivity of interaction with information and its processing, and diversity of presentation forms with the help of hypertext, video, sound and other forms of creation of virtual reality. Consequently, as a result of the analysis of the main theoretical principles of the use of multimedia technologies in the process of teaching future teachers of history, we presented the main approaches to this issue that have emerged in modern pedagogical literature.
