تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع تطبيق نموذج خصائص العمل الخمس الواردة في نموذج هاكمان أولدهام وهي (الاستقلالية، وتنوع المهارات، وهوية الوظيفة، والشعور بأهمية الوظيفة، والتغذية الراجعة) من وجهة نظر العاملين في الكلية الجامعية للعلوم التطبيقية بالمحافظات الجنوبية. تكون مجتمع الدراسة من العاملين الأكاديميين والإداريين بالكلية الجامعية والبالغ عددهم (580) موظفاً، وتمثلت عينة الدراسة بـ(120 (موظفاً باستخدام طريقة العينة العشوائية البسيطة بنسبة (20.68%). استخدم الباحثان في هذا البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم تحليل استبانات البحث باستخدام عدد من الأساليب الإحصائية بواسطة حزمة البرامج الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية “SPSS” ، وتوصلت الدراسة للنتائج الآتية: يوجد موافقة بدرجة كبيرة من قبل أفراد العينة على فقرات خصائص العمل حيث بلغت درجة الموافقة 74.47%، فقد احتل بعد تنوع المهارات المرتبة الأولى بوزن نسبي 79.76%، تلا ذلك بُعد أهمية العمل الذي احتل المرتبة الثانية بوزن نسبي 74.67%، أما بعد التغذية الراجعة فقد احتل المرتبة الثالثة بوزن نسبي 74.61%، ثم جاء بعد وحدة العمل في المرتبة الرابعة بوزن نسبي 72.73%، بينما جاء في المرتبة الخامسة بعد الاستقلالية بوزن نسبي 70.49%. أيضا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى معنوية 0.05 بين متوسطات إجابات المبحوثين حول تطبيق نموذج خصائص العمل تعزى إلى العمر. لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى معنوية 0.05 بين متوسطات إجابات المبحوثين حول تطبيق نموذج خصائص العمل تعزى إلى (الجنس، المؤهل العلمي، سنوات الخدمة، المسمى الوظيفي). أوصت الدراسة بالتالي: زيادة الاهتمام بتنوع المهارات وتكليف العاملين بعدد أكبر من أجزاء العمل ضمن مجال التخصص فضلاً عن حاجتهم لمزيد من الاستقلالية لإنجاز اعمالهم؛ السعي إلى إيجاد وصف وظيفي واضح ومتكامل يشتمل على المهام والاختصاصات والأدوار الوظيفية لكافة العاملين في الكلية الجامعية؛ العمل على منح وتحديد الصلاحيات الوظيفية للعاملين بالكلية كافة، كلّ وظيفة حسب مستواها الإداري وبما يتلاءم مع طبيعة العمل الوظيفي؛ بالإضافة إلى التركيز على اتباع التدرج الهرمي الوظيفي في اتخاذ القرارات وتنفيذ الأعمال والإجراءات، مما يساهم في توحيد الإجراءات والقضاء على الازدواجية في استقبال الأوامر والتعليمات. This study aims to identify the status of applying the job five characteristics that contained in the Hackman – Oldham model which are: (independence, diversity of skills, job description, job loyalty and feedback) from the employee’s point of view at the university college of applied sciences in the Gaza Strip. The population of the study consists of (580) academic and administrative employees. Sample random method is used in this study that is (20.68%). Descriptive and analytical approach is used; in addition of using SPSS program to analyze the study questionnaires. The results of the study are as following: there is a high agreement on job characteristics’ paragraphs according to the point of view of the sample, which is (74.47%). The arrangement of the five job characteristics are as follow: the first one is diversity of skills with a relative weight of 79.76%, then job loyalty with a relative weight of 74.67%, the third one is the feedback with a relative weight of 74.61%, and the fourth one is job description with a relative weight of 72.73%, while independence is the fifth one with a relative weight of 70.49%. There are statistically significant differences at significance level of 0.05 for applying job characterize model due to age. There are no statistically significant differences at significance level of 0.05 for applying job characterize model due to (gender, educational level, years of service and career level). The study recommends that: there is a need to increase the skills diversity and to assign employees with many tasks within their specialization, in addition of providing independence in order to accomplish employee’s tasks; there is a need to seek for a clear and integrated job description that includes employee’s tasks, specializations and job roles in the University College; defend and clarify functional job to all employees according to their job’s description and their administrative level; make decisions, procedures and tasks according to the career hierarchy; to contribute standardizing procedures and preventing duplication of receiving orders and instructions.

I've always thought that Leibniz's monadology offers comfort during parallel session conferences. Assuring us that each monad reflects the whole, although from its particular point of view, Leibniz makes the sanguine case that one can make sense of things even if one's viewpoint is sadly singular. In the mad rush from one paper session to the next, knowing that at best one gets to hear a third of what is being said, it helps to invoke a bit of Leibnizian optimism. And indeed, Dublin seemed like a best possible world during the three days of the Defining Space conference taking place in October 2007. Generously hosted and meticulously organised, the University College Dublin-led event succeeded not only in attracting more than eighty papers that contributed to elucidate the concept of space in relation to architecture, art, and the city, but also in creating an atmosphere of conviviality and intellectual generosity which gave the event an unusual sense of sharing.

The study aimed to assess the reality of marketing educational services at the Islamic University in the Gaza Strip and its impact on the decision to join it from the viewpoint of first- level students at the university. The study adopted the descriptive and analytical approach, and the tool was a questionnaire. It was distributed to a simple stratified random sample of (355) male and female students from all colleges of the first level (BA), and the SPSS program was used in the data analysis. The results of the study showed that the marketing of educational services from the viewpoint of the first- level students obtained an overall average (3.75 out of 5), with a grade of (large), and the field of promotion came first with an arithmetic average ((3.86), followed by the field of public relations with an average ((3.83) and the third in the field of advertising with an average (3.75) and fourth in the field of factors helping to attract students with an average of (3.72) and finally the field of direct marketing with an average of (3.57), and it was found that the size of the effect amounted to (0.85). It indicates (large) correlation coefficients and the existence of a positive relationship of (α≤0.05) Between the marketing of educational services at the Islamic University in the Gaza Strip in its five dimensions and the decision to enroll students in the university reached (0.83), indicating (large) correlation coefficients. Based on the results of the study, the researcher presented a number of recommendations and proposals, including: The university forming marketing teams that keep pace with the technical and technological developments in the world Marketing because of the great importance attached to the university in all respects, especially attracting students and attracting them to the university's specializations.


ملخص: هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف درجة توافر مؤشرات قياس الأداء في جامعة القدس المفتوحة في ضوء الجودة الإدارية من وجهة نظر الإداريين، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، والاستبانة كأداة للدراسة تكونت من 30 فقرة موزعة على ستة مجالات: (القيادة الإدارية، الجودة والتطوير، إدارة الموارد البشرية، نظم المعلومات الإدارية، الرقابة وتقييم الأداء، رضا المستفيد)، وطبقت الاستبانة على عينة عشوائية مقصودة تكونت من أصحاب المناصب الإدارية في قطاع غزة.وأهم ما توصلت إليه نتائج الدراسة أن استجابات أفراد عينة الدراسة حول درجة توافر مؤشرات قياس الأداء في جامعة القدس المفتوحة في ضوء الجودة الإدارية من وجهة نظر الإداريين جاءت بدرجة كبيرة، حيث بلغت الدرجة الكلية للمتوسط الحسابي للمجالات الستة (3.96)، وبوزن نسبي بلغ (79.2%)، كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دالة إحصائياً عند مستوى الدلالة (α ≤ 0.05) بين متوسط تقديرات عينة الدراسة حول درجة توافر مؤشرات قياس الأداء في جامعة القدس المفتوحة في ضوء الجودة الإدارية تعزى إلى متغير الجنس، ووجود فروق ذات دالة إحصائياً بين إجابات أفراد عينة الدراسة تعزى إلى متغير سنوات الخدمة كانت لصالح الفئة (أكثر من 10 سنوات). الكلمات المفتاحية: مؤشرات قياس الأداء، الجودة الإدارية، جامعة القدس المفتوحة. Abstract The study aimed at identifying the degree of availability of performance measurement indicators at Al-Quds Open University in the light of administrative quality from the point of view of the administrators. The study used the analytical descriptive method and the questionnaire as a study tool consisting of 30 paragraphs divided into six fields: (administrative leadership, quality and development, , Management information systems, monitoring and performance evaluation, beneficiary satisfaction). The questionnaire was applied to a random sample of the owners of administrative positions in the Gaza Strip. The most important findings of the study were that the responses of the sample of the study on the degree of availability of performance measurement indicators at Al-Quds Open University in light of administrative quality from the point of view of the administrators came to a great extent. The total score for the six domains (3.96), with a relative weight of 79.2 The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at (0.05 α ≤) between the average of the sample of the study sample on the degree of availability of performance measurement indicators at Al-Quds Open University in light of the administrative quality due to gender variable and the existence of statistically significant differences between The responses of the study sample individuals are attributed to the absentee Years of service was in favor of the category (more than 10 years). Background: The status of a refugee or asylum seeker is only recognised after legal processes. The uncertainty of these procedures or the rejection itself may severely impact mental well-being. Methods: We surveyed the patterns of psychiatric services used by patients whose applications for asylum had been rejected. In a retrospective investigation of admissions to the University Emergency Department in Bern, Switzerland between 1 March 2012 and 28 February 2017, we studied patients receiving a psychiatric consultation after their applications had been rejected. The primary endpoint was based on the comparison of these individuals with controls who were asylum seekers with pending asylum applications using the Mann-Whitney U test and the chi-square test (χ2) with a significance level of 0.05. Results: Thirty-eight cases were identified. There were more men than women and the mean age was 30.08 ± 9.62 years. Patients predominantly presented as walk-in patients (n = 16, 42.1%), most frequently due to suicidal ideation (n = 16, 42.1%). Stress-related disorders were the most common diagnosis (n = 29, 76.3%) and patients were mainly referred to inpatient treatment (n = 28, 73.7%). Patients with rejected applications were less likely to be living in reception centres than patients with a pending application (χ2 = 17.98, p < 0.001). Conclusion: The profile of asylum seekers whose applications had been rejected reflects individuals with high-stress levels, potentially aggravated by the negative asylum decision.

The paper discusses the status of philosophy in the context of the increasing commercialization of higher education, which turns the university into a business. It shows that the neoliberal policy of the commercialization of higher education changes the structure of the educational process dramatically and brings humanism as an educational model inextricably linked with the development of humanitarian disciplines to the limit. In the era of capitalization of knowledge, the principle of utilitarianism becomes dominant. The paper gives reasons for the need to overcome the neoliberal tendency of the educational process dehumanization and return to humanitarian disciplines, which preserve the culture of human thinking in today’s world. The paper finds that the construction of the process of university education according to the being-in-place model actualizes thinking, which brings an individual back from the inertia of non-thinking existence. The paper describes specificity of philosophy as a practice of thinking and language which preserves the foundations of human existence and develops the hermeneutic type of thinking of an individual as “persona”. The hermeneutic type of thinking is focused on a person’s self-understanding of oneself as a personality. At the same time, it contributes to understanding the Other, a dialogue with whom opens up the opportunity not only to look at oneself in a different way, but also to understand the “point of view” of the Other, thereby opening up a different horizon of seeing the world in general.

In recent years, universities have become more active in performing new activities that have been added to those regarded as ‘traditional’. This trend has led to a number of changes, among which is a transformation of the status of universities in urban and regional contexts and, in particular, an increase in their impact on the development of medium-sized university cities. From a methodological point of view the contribution of universities to urban development can be analysed from three different perspectives: knowledge and economic; relational; and cultural. Starting from these points of view, this paper analyses three cases of European medium-sized university cities (Oxford, Leuven and Pisa), in which the presence of one or more universities represents an important asset not only for the construction and evolution of knowledge spaces but also for urban development as a whole, by leaving tangible and intangible ‘traces’, reinforcing the relationship between academia and local community and contributing to the identity of knowledge cities.

ABSTRACTLong term cooperation that is based on common trust, friendship and especially willingness to go forward together is a good basis for development of an international university. Challenging the modern world together makes it possible to reach goals beyond the average. This is the heart of the Beyond Alliance for Knowledge—an alliance between Feevale University, VIA University College and Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK). This article is written to highlight the basic needs for the Beyond Alliance for Knowledge from HAMK’s perspective. The perspectives are (1) the need for internationalisation of the university itself, (2) better education products for students and (3) effective research results for businesses and society. The purpose of this study is to know the status quo of the application of the Jordanian universities to E-Management from the viewpoint of the faculty members. The study used the descriptive approach by which a resolution of 28 paragraphs has been developed, and the truthfulness and consistency of the tool was validated, its sample of the faculty members was formed in Jordanian universities represented at the University of Jordan, Yarmouk University, and Mu&#39;tah University, a number of 300 persons has been selected randomly. The study concluded the following results: The results of mean averages and standard deviations have shown that status quo of the application of E-Management by Jordanian universities from the viewpoint of faculty members is moderate. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (= 0.05 &alpha;) in the study sample estimates in the fact that the Jordanian universities applied E-Management from the viewpoint of the faculty members due to the gender variable and found statistically significant differences at the level of significance (= 0.05 &alpha;) due to the variable of the college and for the benefit of the scientific faculties, for the benefit of Assistant professor. The study recommended that Jordanian universities should publish an E-Management culture within university units by introducing departments to implement and apply E-Management at the university.


ملخص: هدفت الدراسة للتعرف على علاقة التمكين الوظيفي بأبعاده (الإدراكي والهيكلي) في السلوك الإبداعي لدى العاملين في كليات التعليم التقني الحكومية في قطاع غزة. وقد استخدم الباحثون المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. تكوَّن مجتمع الدراسة من جميع العاملين الأكاديميين في (الكلية الجامعية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا-خانيونس، وكلية فلسطين التقنية-دير البلح) والبالغ عددهم (160) موظفاً. تم اللجوء لأسلوب المسح الشامل وتم استرداد (120) استبانة بنسبة استرداد%75. وأظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة لثقافة التمكين الوظيفي على مهارات التفكير الإبداعي لدى العاملين في كليات التعليم التقني الحكومية بقطاع غزة. و أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق تعزى لمتغير الجنس، وعدم وجود فروق تعزى لمتغير المؤهل العلمي، ووجود فروق تعزى لمتغير العمر في مجال(المشاركة بالمعلومات، حل المشكلات واتخاذ القرارات، الطلاقة والأصالة)، أما في باقي المجالات فلا توجد فروق، ووجود فروق تعزى لمتغير سنوات الخبرة لصالح الأكثر خبرة، ووجود فروق حول المجالات مجتمعة يعزى لمتغير مكان العمل وقد كانت الفروق لصالح الكلية الجامعية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى التوصيات من أهمها: • تطوير وتعزيز العلاقة والعمل بروح الفريق فيما بين الإدارة والعاملين من خلال تبادل الآراء والمقترحات. • منح العاملين الثقة والاستقلالية في العمل وتوفير مناخ يسمح ويشجع على نشر ثقافة التمكين الوظيفي. الكلمات المفتاحية/ ثقافة التمكين الوظيفي، تنمية مهارات التفكير الابداعي لدي العاملين. Abstract This study aimedto investigate the relation of the job empowerment with its dimensions; the perceptive and the structural of the creative behavior for the employees at the governmental technical education colleges in Gaza Strip. The researchers used the descriptive analytic approach. The population of the study consisted of all academic employees at the University College of Sciences and Technology- Khan Younis, and Palestine Technical College- Deir Al Balah who has a number of (160) employee. The comprehensive scan style was used and (120) questionnaire were regained with 75% percent. The results indicated that there was a relation for the culture of the job empowerment on the skill of the creative thinking of the employee at the government technical education college in Gaza Strip. Also the results indicated that there were no differences due to the sex variable. There were no differences due to the scientific qualification. There were differences due to the age variable in the field of (information sharing, problem solving, making decision, fluency and originality), while there were no difference in the other aspects. There were difference due to the experience variable in favor of the most experience. There were difference due to the place of work and the difference were in favor of the University College of Sciences and TechnologyBased on those findings, the study recommended the following: • Development and reinforcement of the relationship and the work with team spirit between the management and the employees through exchanging ideas and suggestions. • Granting the employees to trust and independence at work and providing an atmosphere that encourage on spreading • the culture of job.

This study aimed to reveal the level of digital citizenship among students at Jordanian public universities from their point of view, and then suggest a future perspective to improve it. Using a descriptive analytical method, a (45) item questioner was developed, the sample of the study consisted of (5200) students, who were randomly selected form (6) universities. Results indicated that the mean value of the tool level was 3.82 out of 5, with high value. In terms of the study fields, the mean of digital skills was 4.32 with high value; digital responsibility was 3.62 and the digital safety, 3.52, both of the two feilds were moderate. Results also indicated no statistical significant differences in the level of digital citizenship due to the selected variables, except for the university variable. Finally, the researcher suggested a future vision to improve the status of digital citizenship among students at Jordanian public universities. The study recommended to raise the awareness of digital citizenship among students at Jordanian public universities and to increase technical support.
