The aims of the research are to find the correlation between vocabulary and sentence structure mastery towards students’ writing skill. This research also calculates how strong the correlation by analyzed and computed using Pearson Product Moment. The method used in this research is quantitative research method by implementing a correlation study research design that has three variables. The first variable is vocabulary mastery, the second is sentence structure mastery, and the third is students’ writing skill in descriptive text as dependent variable. The researcher gives three tests to 40 students. That test is given to measure student’s abilities according to the three previous variables. The result of this research is the use of correlation between vocabulary mastery and sentence structure mastery toward students’ writing skill. The finding of the research proves a moderate level of correlation. This study suggest that the students have to learn vocabulary mastery and sentence structure mastery, and the English teacher should prioritize it so students’ writing skill will improve.

Writing is a means of communication and part of everybody’s education. Writing as a medium of language has its special features. This study brings to light the fact that teaching English through literature does not render any substantive and positive pay off in developing and honing the ESL/EFL learners’ writing skill. In the Pakistani context, literature seems to be inadequate and improper language teaching tool at HSSC level. To achieve the set objectives of this study, the researcher went for the quantitative research methodology. So, a questionnaire comprising of four categories i.e., grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure and creative writing was designed to collect data from 600 subjects (male/female) of intermediate level. The researcher also conducted an achievement test so that a correlation might be drawn between their attitude towards “developing writing skill through literature” and the score of their achievement test. This study has also strived to categorize the subjects in accordance with their proficiency level and computed a pie chart to illustrate their proficiency level. The collected data were analyzed through software package (SPSS XX). The findings of this study explicitly reveal that the EFL learners remain unable to develop both the language skills (particularly writing skill) and language areas when they are taught English through literature. This study recommends that the teaching of English should be application oriented and task-based strategies and activities should be resorted to by the EL educators.

Considerations on sustainability have growing attention not only for scholars and businesses, but also for almost everyone. However, accomplishing sustainable progress is complicated and cannot be completely reached by single individuals or organizations. Consequently, entrepreneurs striving for sustainable change might search for collaborations with universities to overcome their resource and technology constraints. A quantitative research method was employed to explore the value of such collaborations. Data were gathered via questionnaires, between February and March 2020, from entrepreneurs/start-ups that are spin-offs of the ten leading higher education institutions in Berlin and Brandenburg (Germany). Correlation and logistic regression disclosed that start-ups with different sustainability goals employed dissimilar formats of collaboration with universities. Ecological-oriented entrepreneurs tend to utilize all three forms of university–start-up collaboration. On the contrary, social-driven start-ups are not likely to adopt any kind of collaboration with universities. While ventures with economical SDGs are prone to employ product and prototype development along with support from professors. The study extends the knowledge about the search for collaborations of start-ups when pursuing different SDGs. In the practical domain, this research can encourage entrepreneurs to cooperate with universities in order to achieve their sustainable goals beyond incubation and acceleration. Additionally, it can also trigger universities to supply resources for supporting start-ups, especially social-driven ventures, to facilitate them to accomplish sustainability as well as to reach the third mission of universities in terms of supporting society.

This research is quantitative research design. Experimental was conducted as the method. The sample of this research are two classes which are VIII-4 as a control class because they are active with better achievement than other class and VIII-9 as an experimental class because they have lower achievement. The result shows that using Anagram Game on students’ vocabulary achievement at grade eight of SMP Negeri 8 Pematangsiantar got high level where as the score of t-test (4.65) was higher than t-table (1.679) at level of significant 5% for two tailed test. So Null Hypothesis was rejected and Alternative Hypothesis was accepted. After analyzing the data, the researcher concludes that using Anagram Game significantly affect the students’ vocabulary achievement and her suggestion is English teacher should have creative method in teaching English to their students especially to increase their vocabulary by using Anagram Game, so that they are not boring to learn English and make the enjoy on it.
