Entering the era of globalization, the use of information technology in all areas of daily life cannot be avoided. There are at least two technologies that have developed rapidly in the last few years for the lives of millions of people, namely the internet and cell phones. By combining these two technologies, technology is created that makes it possible to access information that does not depend on the information source and location of access, namely WAP.  Along with the development of the combination of the two technologies, several business owners began to use it. One of them is the Podomoro Notebook Store, which is located at SCC Plaza Simpang Lima, Fl. V No. 62 Semarang which is engaged in selling notebooks is trying to use it. There are several things that might encourage this application to be used, including in terms of notebook sales. The absence of an application regarding ordering goods online is also an obstacle for the shop. The solution to solving the problem of this case is to create a wap-based information system for ordering goods. With the wap-based information system, it is hoped that it will help a little in terms of sales and this system can help to order goods online.

The development of information technology also developed in line with thedevelopment of human civilization. The development of information technology is veryhelpful, one of which is the internet. Online sales information systems are used to carry out business processes such as distribution, sales, purchasing, marketing of goods or services by using communication networks and the internet. Online sales information systems can help people who do not have a place or shop to carry out their business. Students in this case, especially at the Catholic University of Santo Thomas, are an opportunity to take advantage of this facility in carrying out their business, especially if they do not have a place or shop to carry out their business. Information technology has opened up digital economic opportunities in Indonesia. A number of applications of information technology are the internet, websites and social media. The internet has become a medium of data and information traffic with very large capacities and very high speeds. Website can be used as virtual places for various purposes. Social media can be used as an online social media. Small and medium businesses are one of the pillars of national economic growth. But with the existing limitations, the small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) actors/officers are still constrained by the promotion of their products. All the facilities and advances in information technology need to be packaged in such a way that they can be utilized by SMEs in running their business. This research will design a Palembang culinary information system website. The method used is web engineering which consists of 5 (five) phases: communication, planning, modeling, construction, and dissemination. The results of this study are in the form of web prototype Palembang's culinary information system that can provide information about Palembang's culinary products for social media-based SMEs.

Penilitian ini betujuan untuk merancang sistem informasi geografis objek wisata bahari pada Dinas Pariwisata Kota Ternate. Metode Analisis dan Pengembangan Sistem menggunakan metode terstruktur, serta Pengembangannya menggunakan metode sekuensial linier (Waterfall). Sistem ini dirancang dengan Alat bantu  Flowchart, DFD, ERD dan dibuat menggunakan bahasa Pemrograman HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery, Javascript serta database MySQL. Aplikasi Sistem Informasi Geografis Wisata dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi ini, memudahkan Dinas Pariwisata Kota Ternate menyediakan informasi kepada wisatawan, sehingga para wisatawan dapat mengakses informasi objek wisata bahari dimana saja.Kata kunci: Sistem Informasi, Geografis, Wisata Bahari.Abstract : Tourism is one of the leading sectors in the development of national income, to increase absorption of labor and the country's foreign exchange contributor. ABSTRACT The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Sanctuaries Hazardous Incident Emergency Logistics Database System (SHIELDS) is an Internet-based information system designed to improve access to critical data, plans, and tools for National Marine Sanctuary (NMS) personnel and their partners for contingency planning and response situations. At the core of the SHIELDS project is a website developed for each of the thirteen National Marine Sanctuaries and one coral reef ecosystem reserve in the sanctuary designation process. Each site hosts general planning and response information, such as policies and contingency plans. More so, SHIELDS takes advantage of leading information technology to improve the availability of vital response information and folds it into one comprehensive website. The use of Geographic Information System (GIS) data has expanded from static hardcopy maps to web-based interactive mapping, allowing Internet users to easily examine Sanctuary-specific geographic data from any location. SHIELDS offers NOAA modeling tools to analyze the fate of pollutants and live buoy data for real-time oceanographic conditions. Web-based databases within SHIELDS allow the user to enter or query information on personnel contact and location, potential Sanctuary threats, geographic response plans (GRPs) and Resources and UnderSea Threats (RUST) data, post updated incident text and documentation, or look up response glossary terms. Although SHIELDS relies extensively on the use of the Internet to distribute its information, it has also been designed to work as a stand-alone product for those inevitable circumstances when Internet access is not available during a response. The user can load the SHIELDS webpages and data onto their personal computer and carry it to any remote location to access the same data found on the Internet. SHIELDS provides the most comprehensive incident planning and response information for the National Marine Sanctuary Program (NMSP). This ensures that NOAA fulfills its role as stewards of Sanctuary resources and provides effective and timely response information about their trust resources.

Recently the impressive growth of the Web, and the Internet in general, has been considered as a promise that may both challenge and boost our representation of democratic institutions. It is well known that modern democracies are based on the possibility to control and even replace who rules by the force of the best arguments. More generally, the control of the government, and the effectiveness of democracy, is possible, if the citizens can access information. Hence, the promise of the Internet mainly relies on the fact that people may more freely access information, because it seems it cannot be controlled or manipulated by the political power. In the first part of this outline we will depict a cognitive framework to deal with the relationships between Internet and democracy. We shall show that Internet, as an information technology, can be considered as a cognitive and moral mediator; it can provide stories, texts, images, combined with sounds, so that the information fosters not only a cognitive, but also an emotional and moral understanding. In this sense, the Internet represents a kind of redistribution of the moral effort through managing objects and information to overcome the poverty and the unsatisfactory character of the options available. In the last part we will illustrate that Internet, as a moral mediator, may enhance democracy in two respects. First, it affords civic engagement and participation; second, it allows people to face different sources of information so that almost everyone can verify and test the information delivered by traditional media.

The development of computer system nowdays is getting faster and complex, to push everyone using computer in daily activity. We realize that by using manual system is not enough recently so we need computer to compile our file. By using manual system just waste our energy and our finance. The result of this system, we spend much money. As we know the development of information technology (IT) has got influence to our information system. The classical system of information is getting worse and an old fashion. Beside to influent its information of technology it has got an influence to our daily life, our life style will be change according to the developing of IT product. Everybody should understand to use or operate this technology. Every problem that appear and old fashion information system, computer is as one of devices should be entered to information system.Many kinds to publish our service and product via internet. Because internet not know about limited of time, limited of place dan limited of space. Everytime we can reach them and surfing with browser to find a lot of information.A treatment usualy we get publish our site is how much time the audien can reach our site and they dont necesery much need time to see our page. We can used a few aplication to built a webpage that they can make a page can reach as soon as possible. And we can used a few format of image and animation then make the audien no need more time to search our information.

Creation of information system of scientific researches planning in Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine on the Internet basis (ІS "Planning") will provide an information and technological support of processes of planning of scientific researches which are being carried out in scientific institutions of Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, and will solve a problem of effective maintenance of their performance. Organizational bases of ІS " Planning" construction, considered in the article, define directions of designing of this system and the requirements to receiving and processing procedures of the documents of scientific researches planning.

In the world of education the utilization of information technology is something that must be implemented, one of which is the use of the internet which can be used as a medium for disseminating information. Informatic Study Program of Sumbawa University of Technology is a study program that has graduated many alumni, but so far there is no portal that can manage information regarding the whereabouts of its alumni. This causes the study program difficulties in getting the latest information of the alumni when needed. Therefore, in this research a website-based alumni information system was designed which aims to facilitate the Informatic Study Program of Sumbawa University of Technology in managing and searching for information related to alumni data. In building this system researchers used the PHP programming language with CodeIgniter Framework and MySQL as the database. Then for the development of this software is using Waterfall model. It is hoped that when this system is implemented it can be used by study programs and alumni in managing alumni information, making it easier and faster to conduct data collection and reporting of existing alumni data.
