The church as God's people in its presence in this world is inseparable from society, where the church, as the organizer of worship, is also called to carry out its task or prophetic role in society. This happened also in the context of the prophet Amos when served in North Israel, where the worship at that time seemed to be going well and lively, but contrary to it; their attitude to life has deteriorated considerably. So in this research, the meaning of worship according to Amos 5: 4-6 will be examined with the aim of developing it to get relevance to the duties and vocation of the church today. The method used in this research is qualitative, by applying the descriptive analysis method to the text of Amos 5: 4-6, so that the meaning of worship seeking the true God is found. The result of this research is that worship should be interpreted as a relationship between people's love for God which reflects good deeds in daily life. The church must also reflect on the meaning of worship in its duties and vocation by living out the meaning of worship in daily life, being more involved and engaging in community life, and also as a church calling to repent and become better. AbstrakGereja sebagai umat Allah dalam kehadirannya di dunia ini tidak terpisah dari masyarakat, dimana gereja selaku penyelenggara ibadah, dipanggil juga untuk mengamalkan tugas atau peran kenabiannya dalam masyarakat. Hal ini terjadi juga dalam konteks nabi Amos melayani di Israel Utara, dimana ibadah kala itu nampak berjalan baik dan semarak, tetapi bertolak belakang dengan itu; sikap hidup mereka sangat merosot. Maka pada penelitian ini akan diteliti makna ibadah yang benar menurut Amos 5:4-6 dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkannya untuk mendapatkan relevansi bagi tugas dan panggilan gereja di masa kini. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif analisis pada teks Amos 5:4-6, sehingga didapati makna tentang ibadah mencari Tuhan yang benar. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ibadah harus dimaknai sebagai hubungan kasih umat kepada Tuhan yang mencerminkan perbuatan baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Gereja juga harus merefleksikan makna ibadah ini dalam tugas dan panggilannya dengan menghidupi makna ibadah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, lebih berperan dan terlibat dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat dan juga sebagai panggilan gereja untuk bertobat dan menjadi lebih baik lagi.

This article discusses an interpretation of the Qur’an by Abdullah Said using the contextual interpretation model. However, this paper will focus on how Abdullah Saeed developed the concept hierarchy of values inspired by Fazlur Rahman's thought, how application and implication of this concept in Qur’anic interpretation. Abdullah Saeed developed and formulated the concept hierarchy of values into five levels, including obligatory values, fundamental values, protective values, implementational values, and instructional values. The five hierarchies of values become a complete unified frame as an effort to the contextual interpretation of the Qur’an, especially the ethico-legal verses that mostly fill the daily life of most Muslims based on the understanding of maqashid al-sharia and the concept of good deeds. This study uses a descriptive analysis method and hermeneutic analysis techniques to apply the concept hierarchy of values in the Qur’anic interpretation. The results of this paper are in the contextual interpretation of QS. Al-Hujurat in the 1st-5th verses are instructional value; the 6th and 9th verses are combination of fundamental, protectional and impementational values; the 7th-8th verses and the 14th-18th verses are obligatory value; the 10th verse implementational value; the 11th-13th verses are instructional value. In QS. Al-Hujurat contain the five hierarchical levels of values that have been specifically conceived by Abdullah Saeed

Pengkalan Kuras, Langgam, Kuala Kampar, and Bunut Subdistrict, Pelalawan Regency. Petalangan tribe has various cultures in the traditions of life. A good introduction to cultural heritage by the next generation can strengthen the nation's tradition in responding to the increasingly severe challenges of the future in this era of globalization. Cultural heritage in the form of moral-spiritual inheritance, one of which is obtained and known through the tradition of belief in the traditional proverb that exists in the community. The traditional adage in the Petalangan community, among others, explains the perspective on community life. This study aims to describe the style of language in the customary proverb that is related to the perspective of life in society. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The data source used was the book entitled Pepatah Adat, Istilah, dan Kosa kata Masyarakat Petalangan Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau. There are 16 traditional proverbs used as data in this study, which then obtained 3 language styles based on sentence structure and 2 language styles based on meaning. By knowing and learning the style of language in this traditional proverb, the philosophy of life and aesthetic tastes of the people of Riau can be understood. Petalangan merupakan salah satu puak asli di Provinsi Riau yang bermukim di Kecamatan Pengkalan Kuras, Langgam, Kuala Kampar, dan Bunut, Kabupaten Pelalawan. Suku Petalangan ini memiliki beraneka kebudayaan dalam kehidupan. Pengenalan yang baik terhadap warisan kebudayaan oleh generasi penerus dapat memperteguh tradisi bangsa dalam menjawab tantangan masa depan yang semakin berat dalam era globalisasi ini. Warisan kebudayaan yang berupa warisan moral-spiritual, satu di antaranya didapatkan dan diketahui keyakinan terhadap pepatah adat yang ada pada masyarakat. Pepatah adat dalam masyarakat Petalangan antara lain menjelaskan cara pandang mengenai hidup bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa di dalam pepatah adat yang berhubungan dengan cara pandang dalam hidup bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah buku Pepatah Adat, Istilah, dan Kosa kata Masyarakat Petalangan Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau. Terdapat 16 pepatah adat yang dijadikan data dalam penelitian ini, yang kemudian diperoleh 3 gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat dan 2 gaya bahasa berdasarkan makna. Dengan mengetahui dan mempelajari gaya bahasa dalam pepatah adat ini dapat dipahami filsafat hidup dan cita rasa estetika masyarakat Riau.

This research was motivated by the existence of interest and curiosity about why two villages are very close in the distance, which use the same language but have many differences in the use of vocabulary used in speaking in the daily life of the speech community. Using different vocabulary in the spoken community in Betung and Kesuma villages raises questions about the differences in vocabulary and what factors influence these differences. The research objective was to describe the difference in vocabulary between the two villages. This research is expected to become a reference for similar research and as material to add insight. This research uses vocabulary theory, language variation, and technique. This research is qualitative research using the descriptive analysis method. Data were collected using the method of observation, interviews, proficient listening, and note-taking techniques. The collected data is then reduced, displayed, concluded. Based on the research process that the author has carried out, it was found that the results of the study were the differences in the vocabulary of the Malay dialect used by the speech community between Betung Village and Kesuma Village. The author found 71 differences in vocabulary that will be analyzed based on semantic differences, namely synonyms. The author also found six differences in vocabulary that will be analyzed based on semantic differences, namely homonyms. The author also obtained the study results, namely the factors that influence the vocabulary used by the spoken community in Betung Village and Kesuma Village.

Abstrak Nilai kearifan lokal merupakan produk budaya masa lalu pada suatu komunitas masyarakat  dan memiliki peran mengatur tatanan kehidupan bermasyarakat. Nailai-nilai keraifan lokal ini dapat dijumpai dalam cerita rakyat, termasuk cerita Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat di dalam cerita rakyat Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya  dan peranannya dalam pembentuk karakter generasi muda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analisis dengan data bersumber pada cerita Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya. Cerita itu diperoleh dari  Dokumentasi Perpustakaan Balai Bahasa  Sulawesi Tengah.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sepuluh  nilai kearifan lokal dalam cerita Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya, yaitu  nilai rasa syukur dan rasa hormat,  nilai amanah/dapat dipercaya,  nilai tolong-menolong,  nilai kesopanan, nilai keberanian dan percaya diri,  nilai kebijaksanaan,  nilai musyawarah, nilai kerja keras, nilai komitmen.  Dari kesepuluh nilai kearifan lokal yang ditemukan, secara keseluruhan dapat digunakan untuk dasar pembentukan karakter generasi muda. Kata Kunci: Nilai kearifan lokal, cerita Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya, pembentukan  karakter  Value of Local Culture in History of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya and Its Role in Forming the Young Generation Character Abstract Value of Local Culture was a product of past culture in a society community and have role to organize the system of community life. These values of local culture could be found in folklore, including story of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya. This research purposed to describe the value of local culture which was inside of folklore of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya and its role in forming the young generation character. The method which was used was descriptive analysis method with data sourced on story of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya. That story was gotten form library documentation of Balai Bahasa of Central Sulawesi Province. The results of research showed that there were ten values of local culture in story of Asal Usul Bamba Libo Toaya, that were the value of thankfulness and respect, the value of trust, the value of mutual assistance, the value of politeness, the value of bravery and self-confidence, the value of wisdom, the value of deliberation, the value of hard work, the value of commitment. “Batombe” is an oral tradition of the Nagari Abai society at Sangir Batanghari Subdistrict, South Solok District, West Sumatra Province. Batombe is exchanging rhymes (berbalas pantun) which is performed as an entertainment on the wedding party (baralek). Batombe is identical with Great House (Rumah Gadang) Nagari Abai which is a unique house because it is a long traditional custom house that has many rooms. It reaches 21 rooms. The rhymes in batombe tends to deliver a feeling of lilting so the singers often drift into the atmosphere of the show. Therefore, as part of community life, batombe often cause a negative effects for the singers soul. This paper describes various things, such as: who batombe singer is; the time to perform this activity; the relationship between batombe and Great House (Rumah Gadang) at Nagari Abai; and the negative effects caused by batombe for the singers. This paper based on the fact that in oral tradition there is a close relationship between text and the speakers and text with context (place, time and atmosphere), a multidisciplinary approach is used in this paper, such as historical, sociological, anthropological, and psychological approach. The method used is descriptive analysis method. Abstrak Batombe adalah tradisi lisan masyarakat Nagari Abai, Kecamatan Sangir Batanghari, Kabupaten Solok Selatan, Provinsi Sumatra Barat. Batombe adalah tradisi berbalas pantun yang dilakukan sebagai hiburan pada pesta pernikahan (baralek). Batombe identik dengan rumah gadang Nagari Abai yang unik, yakni rumah adat dengan ruangan yang sangat panjang hingga 21 ruangan. Pantun-pantun batombe cenderung menyampaikan perasaan yang mendayu-dayu sehingga para pedendangnya sering hanyut ke dalam suasana pertunjukan. Oleh sebab itu, sebagai bagian dari kehidupan masyarakat, seringkali batombe menyebabkan efek negatif bagi (kejiwaan) para pedendangnya. Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan berbagai hal, seperti penutur batombe, waktu untuk melakukan batombe, hubungan batombe dengan rumah gadang di Nagari Abai, dan efek negatif yang ditimbulkan batombe bagi pedendangnya. Tulisan ini bertolak dari kenyataan bahwa pada tradisi lisan terdapat hubungan erat, antara lain seperti teks dengan penutur dan teks dengan konteks (tempat, waktu, dan suasana). Pendekatan multidisipliner digunakan pada tulisan ini, yakni pendekatan historis, sosiologis, antropologis, dan psikologis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif.

The problem of poverty in Indonesia is still unresolved to date. Related to the problem of poverty, ideas emerge in an effort to alleviate poverty that focuses on empowerment, entrepreneurship and deacons. These three ideas of thought can lead to dangers, including: empowerment and entrepreneurship can trigger the spirit of capitalism which can lead to greed and high egocentrism. Whereas deacons can make people keep silent without the effort to move out of poverty. So that the three concepts of poverty alleviation do not fall into this danger, it is necessary to provide a basis for thinking about the theology of ownership and the function of wealth. One of the books that could provide a prospect for rationale is the book of Luke. The book of Luke leaves ample room for discussion of the theology of property and function of wealth. In this paper, the author uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The result of this research is that the book of Luke contributes thoughts about the theology of ownership and the function of wealth. His contribution is that in Luke's writings there is a systemic pattern that was born from the theology of property and function of wealth. This systemic pattern can contribute to the idea that the church can create a poverty alleviation system that not only works on an individualistic level, but also has a communal dimension that involves poor and rich people in order to create a community without social disparities.

We ​​need a handle on life, that is religion or belief that recognizes the existence of an all-powerful substance, whereas in daily life a person is required to maintain, improve, and improve the quality of faith and piety in the creator, to achieve that there are all several ways one of which is through the world of Sufism or commonly known as the mystical world. For attainment in the mystical world it can be done by way of meditation or spiritual practice. The pinnacle of the mystical world is mahaabah or divine love where these are the highest levels of attainment towards God. In this paper the author examine the theory of divine love (mahabbah) from the Sufi women who first expressed her love to God, namely Rabi'ah Adawiyah. This paper uses the type of library research, while the approach used is historical, philosophical. Data collection is done by the documentation method and analyzed by descriptive analysis method. According to Rabi'ah love is love that has no strings attached to it and does not expect a reward in the form of either reward or liberation of the law, but what is sought is only doing God's will and perfecting it. Dalam kehidupan ini kita membutuhkan pegangan hidup yaitu agama atau keyakinan yang mengakui adanya Zat yang maha kuasa, sedangkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari seseorang dituntut menjaga, memperbaiki, dan meningkatkan kualitas iman dan takwa pada sang pencipta, untuk mencapai itu semua ada beberapa jalan salah satunya adalah melalui dunia tasawuf atau biasa dikenal dengan dunia mistik. Untuk pencapaian dalam dunia mistik itu dapat dilakukan dengan cara meditasi atau latihan spiritual. Puncak dari dunia mistik adalah mahaabah atau cinta Ilahi dimana ini semua merupakan tingkat tertinggi dalam pencapaian menuju Allah. Dalam tulisan ini penulis akan mencoba untuk menelaah teori cinta ilahi (mahabbah) dari toko sufi perempuan yang pertama kali mengemukakan kecintaanya pada sangkhalik yakni Rabi’ah Adawiyah. Penelitian dengan judul “Konsep Cinta Ilahi (Mahabbah) Rabi’ah Adawiyah” menggunakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research), adapun pendekatan yang digunakan adalah historis, folosofis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi dan dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskritif. Menurut Rabi’ah cinta adalah cinta yang tidak ada pamrih di dalamnya dan tidak mengharapkan balasan baik yang berupa ganjaran maupun pembebasan hukum, tetapi yang dicari hanyalah melakukan keinginan Allah dan menyempurnakannya.

Suku Minangkabau memiliki berbagai kesenian, di antaranya adalah Randai. Randai hidup dan berkembang dalam kehidupan masyarakat, dan hampir di setiap daerah di Minangkabau mempunyai Randai. Salah satu grup yang mengembangkan Randai yaitu Grup Parewa Limo Suku yang berada di Kuranji Kota Padang Sumatera Barat. Randai ini dilaksanakan dengan berbagai unsur seni yaitu Silek, Tari, Musik dan Teater. Randai termasuk kedalam Drama Musikal  kedaerahan dengan memliki unsur seni yang kompleks. penyajian Randai diawali oleh permainan musik untuk menarik perhatian masyarakat. Berikutnya pidato dari Tukang Gore yang kemudian masuk ke dalam Legaran dengan diiringi musik untuk memberikan kesempatan kepada pelaku cerita memasuki lingkaran. Naskah cerita yang digunakan berjudul Untuang Sudah yang memiliiki permasalahan dan perselisihan dengan  Rajo Angek Garang. Cerita ini dilaksanakan dalam lima legaran, cerita  dalam Randai pada umumnya merupakan perumpamaan  dalam  masyarakat yang didalamnya mengandung nasehat-nasehat yang berisikan pesan moral. Cerita Untuang Sudah dalam Randai sering dibawakan dalam acara hiburan Baralek  oleh Parewa Limo Suku. Musik iringan dalam Randai berperan sangat penting dimana musik  membuat karakter suasana yang berbeda-beda yakni sebagai ilustrasi cerita dan sebagai penguat suasana dalam penyampaian pesan di setiap adegan Randai. Tujuan Grup Parewa Limo Suku, yaitu untuk melestarikan kebudayaan Minangkabau, serta turut aktif membantu pemerintah dalam membina dan mengembangkan seni budaya khususnya seni budaya Minangkabau. Randai saat ini masih digunakan dalam pertunjukan rakyat Minangkabau dan bentuk penyajiannya disesuaikan dengan drama musikal yang menggunakan berbagai unsur-unsur kesenian yang ada dalam masyarakat Minangkabau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan pendekatan Etnomusikologi. Minangkabau tribe has a variety of arts, including Randai. Randai lives and develops in community life, and almost every area in Minangkabau has Randai. One of the groups that developed Randai is the Parewa Limo Tribe Group located in Kuranji, Padang, West Sumatra. This randai is carried out with various elements of art namely Silek, Dance, Music and Theater. Randai included in the Regional Musical Drama with a complex element of art. Randai's presentation was preceded by a musical game to attract the attention of the public. Next was the speech from Tukang Gore which then entered Legaran accompanied by music to give the story actors a chance to enter the circle. The text of the story used is titled Untuang Sudah which has problems and disputes with Rajo Angek Garang. This story is carried out in five stories, the story in Randai is generally a parable in a society which contains advice which contains a moral message. Untuang Stories Already in Randai is often sung in Baralek entertainment programs by the Parewa Limo Tribe. Accompanied music in Randai plays a very important role where the music makes the character of a different atmosphere that is as an illustration of the story and as a reinforcement of the atmosphere in delivering messages in each Randai scene. The aim of the Parewa Limo Suku Group is to preserve the Minangkabau culture, and to actively assist the government in fostering and developing cultural arts, especially Minangkabau cultural arts. Randai is currently still used in Minangkabau folk performances and the form of presentation is adapted to musical dramas that use various artistic elements in the Minangkabau community. This research uses descriptive analysis method and ethnomusicology approach

Indonesia is a country rich in local wisdom spread from Sumatera to Papua. The local wisdom has guided the community to live and survive in life. The local wisdom possessed by Indonesia is diverse, ranging from local wisdom in the field of Indonesian language and literature, the field of community life, agriculture and animal husbandry, the culinary field, the economic field, to the tourism sector. However, there are still many local wisdoms that have not been explored or recognized by the Indonesian people, especially the younger generation of the nation's successors. Describe Malay local wisdom as the identity of Batam City. The approach used is qualitative with descriptive analysis method. Malay local wisdom is at the core of the Malay tradition, a cultural strength and an important source of its human identity. Without local wisdom, Malays will lose their identity.

This research is titled "Demonophobia in Kusano Tetsuya's character in Bonus Track’novel by Koshigaya Osamu". This study aims to determine the symptoms and ways to overcome demonophobia in Kusano Tetsuya’s character. The method used descriptive analysis method. The theory used literary psychology that proposed by Ratna (2006) and the theory of specific phobia proposed by Hogan (2004). The analysis of fear or anxiety that occurs to Kusano can cause adverse effects on daily life. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that someone who experiences demonophobia has problems that can be cured with symptoms that suffer. Changing mindset is an influential step for Kusano Tetsuya in an effort to overcome the demonophobia because at that step makes Kusano slowly to recover from his phobia.
