This study assesses the relationships among net margin (ML), profitability (LUC), and return (RENT), as well as several technical and economic indices that determine the ML, LUC and RENT land-use change, and economic return of milk production systems. We estimate and analyze the property-size, zootechnical, and economic indices of 20 milk production systems located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2011. We also conduct a descriptive analysis of the variables studied, as well as a multiple linear regression analysis among the estimated indices (independent variables) and the net margin, profitability, and return (dependent variables). The statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 20.0. The items that most influenced net margin were milk production by labor, total revenue, energy and protein commercial concentrates, and the ratio of labor costs to total operating costs. Then, profitability was most influenced by animal productivity per day, fixed value by lactation matrix (value immobilized in the activity divided by the number of lactating matrices), milk revenue, and the representativeness of energy concentrates. Economic returns were most influenced by the number of males available for sale, as well as by animal productivity per day and the value of assets on land per hectare. These findings show that management and technological efforts are required to reduce production costs. In addition, animal productivity needs to be increased because it is has the highest positive relationship with profitability.

This study aims to find out: 1). procedures for using production factors, 2). production factors that significantly influence the level of production in rice farming, 3). level of technical efficiency in the use of production factors, 4). determinants of the level of technical efficiency, 5). the amount of expenditure and income earned by farmers from rice farming on irrigated land in West Lombok Regency. The analysis used in this study is descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis with Cobb Douglass function and frontier analysis. The results show that 1) irrigated rice cultivation is carried out in MH and ICM, with a monoculture planting system. There is a waste in the use of seeds because the use is more than a recommendation, the dominant variety is Invari 32. Then at the stage of land processing and planting the biggest use of labor was 40 HKO. The use of fertilizer was not balanced and not exactly dose 2). Production factors that significantly affect the level of production in rice farming in irrigated land are land area, seeds, fertilizer (Urea + SP36) and pesticides 3). The average level of technical efficiency achieved is 0.899 (89.9%), meaning that the average productivity achieved is around 90 percent 4). Factors that significantly influence the level of efficiency in the use of production factors are the number of parcels, farming experience, education of the household head and the frequency of planting in one year because the t-count value is greater than t-table 1.96. 5). The income that farmers receive from their rice farming is Rp. 9. 278,200, - / hectare with production costs that must be spent on average per hectare of Rp. 8,081,800, - Therefore rice farming in irrigated land is economically beneficial because of the value of its business efficiency (R / C) 1.15.Keywords: Determination, efficiency, production factors, farming, rice

The method used in this study is a survey with 240 respondents. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews, while data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Patani activities in rice farming are started from land preparation, selection of rice seeds, rice seedbed, planting, maintenance, food and post-harvest. The results showed that the influence of socio-economic factors on farmer's behavior in the level of siginification was 0.05 with 0.006, Educational variable was 0.094, experience variable was 0.552, motivation variable was 0.034, acceptance variable was 0.096, media information variable was 0,000 and agricultural extension variables were of 0.010.
