Orange is considered the main product of the Brazilian citrus agro-industrial complex. However, in the end of 2016, the ANVISA pointed out orange as a risky product due to contamination using pesticides in its cultivation. Therefore, in this context, an analysis of the chemical elements present in fresh and pasteurized orange juices becomes extremely relevant. Thus, this work aims to quantify the elements that are present in fresh and pasteurized orange juices, using the TXRF technique. Samples of fresh orange juice of Pêra variety were acquired in a store in the city of Londrina-PR, were analysed; three samples of oranges were purchased at a store in Itápolis, São Paulo and five more samples of Pêra orange were obtained in the rural area. Samples of pesticides used in orange cultivation were quantified, and three different trademarks of pasteurized juice were analysed. In some of the samples that were collected in Itápolis-SP market, lead (Pb) element was quantified, however its concentration was within the limit established by Brazilian legislation. The aluminium (Al) element was detected in all samples of pasteurized orange juice, showing the influence of the packaging on the elemental concentration of the juice. All pesticides quantified in this work showed a significant concentration of some micro-contaminants, but when the pesticide was diluted in deionized water, those micro-contaminants could not be quantified.

Soil, performing a number of important functions is the geomembrane and affects the flow of most processes in the biosphere. Wherein geochemical processes occurring in the soil play an important role in the fate of contaminants as organic matter while controlling their redistribution in the ecosystem between its various components are generally leads to the formation of stable areas of contamination. The soil not only geochemically components accumulates contaminants, but also acts as a natural buffer that controls the transfer of chemical elements and compounds in the atmosphere. Around industrial enterprises formed geochemical anomalies with high content of pollutants, which can reach a radius of 10-50 km, and the impact of large industrial centers can be traced to a distance of 100 km. All known processes of metal accompanied by the formation of large amounts of waste that pollutes air, water and land surface. Mechanical engineering is an important industry of the Orenburg region and is represented by enterprises of the military-industrial complex, agricultural machinery, machine tools, equipment for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, vehicles, electric household appliances. In the machine-building complex of the Orenburg region includes more than 70 large enterprises. The share of engineering products in the volume of industrial production is about 8%. In this case, the natural environment of the city of Orenburg slabozaschischena from most adverse geo-environmental factors. Based on this, we carried out a study on the quality of soil and environmental situation prevailing in the city of Orenburg, in the zone of influence of the enterprise Plant drilling equipment.

Studies conducted in different cities have shown that trees growing in urbanized areas reduce noise levels and cleanse the air of solid particles, ozone, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitric oxide and other pollutants contained in car fumes, transport dust and generated by industry. The reaction to the influence of negative factors in woody plants is in disturbances in metabolism and biochemical composition, their general development also changes, and their population decreases. The indicators of disorders occurring at the cellular and tissue levels are more sensitive to the influence of negative anthropogenic factors in comparison with external manifestations. The research was carried out on woody plants: small-leaved linden (L. Tíliacordáta), horse chestnut (L. Aésculus); the soil. The research was carried out in 9 districts of Volgograd. The assessment of the state of woody plants was carried out by the visual method based on external signs. GOST methods were used to determine the concentrations of chemical elements in the foliage and soil of woody plants. Using physical and chemical methods, the concentrations of chemical elements in the soil and biomass of woody plants taken from the selected areas of the city of Volgograd were obtained, and the correlation between these indicators and the life state of woody plants was determined. The dependence of the indicators of the concentration of nutrients in the soil and the state and viability of woody plants was well traced. In general, the state of most of the woody plants of the city was healthy or moderately weakened. Such a high level of the life state is explained by the relatively young age structure of the studied plants, because at a young age woody plants are more resistant to negative factors of the urban environment. The revealed features of the life of woody plants in the city can be taken into account in the practice of city green building.

Currently, the most popular are the express methods of quality control of the environment, which permit a relatively rapid assessment of ecological and geochemical situation. one such method is based on the use snow cover. snow has a high sorption capacity and is informative in identifying the object of man-made pollution of the urban environment. the paper presents the results of a study of the chemical composition of snow that had fallen in Voronezh during winter 2015. snow samples were taken in the period prior to snowmelt in various functional areas of the city. in order to identify the degree of technogenic impact on the various parts of the city of Voronezh, was made a comparative analysis of the results:аccording to the actual presence of pollutants in precipitation for the study of functional areas;сalculate the rate on the concentration of chemical elements for test samples of snow.according to the degree of mineralization and dust content in snow can be seen technogenic pressure on environment.therefore, a comparative analysis of the degree of contamination of snow in the various functional areas of the city were carried out for the two indicators of the chemical composition - the total mineralization and suspended particles(dust).the results of the analysis of the chemical composition of the melt water indicate an increased level of technogenic pollution of snow cover in all investigated functional areas of Voronezh.

The study of fluorine content in the natural waters of the Odesa region was carried out. The content of fluorine in the waters of the centralized and non-centralized drinking waters supply of the Odesa region and the city of Odesa is determined. Areas with low and high fluorine content are found. Very low fluorine content is determined in Kiliyskyi, Bilyaivskyi, Kodimskyi and Savranskyi districts of the Odessa region. High fluorine content (above MAC) is determined in the Tarutinskiy and Arzizkyi districts. Correlation dependence of fluorine content in drinking water of the Odesa region and indicators of the prevalence of dental diseases (caries and fluorosis of teeth) of the population of the region and the city are established. It is determined that for most districts of the region there is a relationship between the content of fluorine in drinking waters and dental health. In some areas, this dependence is not sufficiently expressed, which is due to the geochemical and ecological characteristics of the territory. It is revealed that for the population of Odesa, who use water with very low fluoride content, high indicators of the disease for caries and fluorosis of teeth are characteristic, which is connected with the allocation of industrial areas with significant anthropogenic loading, including fluorine compounds. One of the possible causes of dental disease, even with optimal fluorine content in drinking water, can be the combination of its action with other chemical elements. Key words: fluorine, drinking water, Odesa region, Odesa city, caries and fluorosis of teeth.

Introduction. To date, one of the priority tasks of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine is to provide the population with benign and safe environmental and veterinary-sanitary products of animal products. Aquaculture is one of the fastest growing industries in the rapidly developing agro-industrial complex. The mentioned industry is able to provide the population with high quality nutritious and dietary fishery products in a relatively short period. Fish products replenish the human diet with essential amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, trace elements and other nutrients to meet the needs of the body. But important indicators are the quality and safety of fish and fish products. The use of hazardous fish products by humans can lead to human diseases. Therefore, research on determining the safety and quality of fish remains an important link. The goal of the work. The purpose of our research was to investigate commercial fish sold in the Sumy trade network and to carry out its veterinary and sanitary evaluation. Materials and methods of research. These studies were conducted under the conditions of the Department of Veterinary Expertise, Microbiology, Zohygiene and Safety and Quality of Livestock Products of Sumy National Agrarian University and in Sumy Regional State Laboratory of the State Consumer Service. Conducted research on commercial fish, which came to the sale in the trade network of the city of Sumy, namely in supermarkets, specialized stores and agri-food markets. Fresh, dried and frozen fish were studied.. Results of research and discussion. As a result of the study of the selected samples was found in live fish, namely the fathead, characteristic signs of postodiplastomosis. This disease manifested itself as small black spots on the body of a fish. It was also revealed in the study of carp in two specimens that the chronic course of aeromonosis was manifested by the presence of fissured ulcers on the body of the fish. Since the detection of the disease did not spoil the product indicators of fish, then all living fish are allowed to sell. When examining dried fish, no deviations from the requirements for dried fish were found in the submitted samples. All fish are identified as benign and admitted for sale. Studies of fresh frozen fish (hake) revealed the presence in the muscle tissue of the nematode Contracoecum squalii Affected fish are characterized by an increased content of microorganisms in the deep and superficial muscle layers, a doubtful or negative reaction to peroxidase, a doubtful or substandard reaction with a Nesler reagent, a doubtful or substandard reaction with sulfuric acid, acidification. Conclusions and prospects for further research: 1. In a study of 323 samples of live, dried, frozen fish, which entered the trade network in Sumy, it was found that 8 (2.47%) samples did not correspond to good-quality fish.2. Signs of diseases characteristic of aeromonosis (2 specimens), postodiplastomosis (1 specimen) and contracenosis (5 specimens) were established in the selected fish samples.3. A batch of hake (170 kg) in which the pathogen Contracoecum squalii was detected is not allowed for sale and is intended for technical disposal. In the future, it is planned to develop and implement a permanent monitoring system for the quality and safety of fish and fishery products that are commercially available.

The work is devoted to the 10th–13th-century paleodemographic data regarding the city of Chernigov and its districts, and to their introduction into the scientific domain. The study is based on the data on the anthropological series of Chernigov in the 10th–13th centuries, divided into three samples according to the topographic principle. This series is characterized by a low average life expectancy in comparison to other southern Old Rus cities. The feature of the necropolises of Chernigov indicating the predominance of female burials over male ones, revealed in the 1980s, has been confirmed at a new level. A study of the demographic parameters of the Chernigov population groups in the 10th–13th centuries, united on a territorial basis, has shown differences in their structure, probably reflecting the peculiarities of the life quality, social status, and professional specialization of the population of different parts of the city. Further research into the remains of the city’s population with methods of paleopathology, osteometry, osteoscopy, radiology, etc., as well as the analysis of aspects of the political history of the region, would help shed light on the possible causes of the identified features of the demographic structure of the population in the pre-Mongolian period.

Currently, along with an in-depth study of the gene pool and the phenotype pool of farm animals of different breeds and species in the zones of their breeding, special attention is paid to the production of environmentally friendly and safe products of the agro-industrial complex for the end consumer. Therefore, water, feed, soil, animal organs and tissues are carefully monitored for the content of chemical elements. Manganese, like magnesium and other divalent ions, is a non-specific activator of enzymes: hydrolases, kinases, decarboxylases, etc. The absolute need for Mn is confirmed by the metalloenzymes pyruvate carboxylase of the liver mitochondria and muscle oxaloacetate carboxylase. The first contains four manganese atoms and four biotin molecules and catalyzes the carboxylation of pyruvic acid to oxaloacetic acid. The removal of Mn leads to the irreversible loss of enzyme activity, which is not restored with the subsequent introduction of the endogenous metal. The purpose of the research was to establish the correlations of the accumulation of manganese in the hairs with some biochemical parameters in the blood of pigs of Kemerovskaya breed. During the work the correlations of manganese in the hairs with some biochemical parameters of blood serum of pigs have been studied. When comparing the obtained data with the studies of other scientists, all the correlations were described except for the content of manganese in the hairs with serum chlorides (r=–0,43), since this correlation was not confirmed by the data of the scientific literature. A positive correlation has been established between the level of Mn with cholesterol and Mg at the level of 0,542 and 0,417, respectively. The change in the magnitude and direction of the correlation between the concentration of Mn in the hairs and the biochemical composition of the blood can be caused by some animal diseases.

This research was conducted to study pollen quality in woody plants in the city parks of Dnipro, which are located at various distances from the sources of anthropogenic pollution. It has been revealed that sterile pollen in its greatest abundance was present in plant species in the Park of Memory and Reconciliation and Molodyozhny park, as both are situated within the range of emission transfer from the Western Industrial Complex, while the least abundant sterile pollen was detected in the park named after Yu. Gagarin and that named after V. Dubinin. According to sterility indices, the pollen inBetula pendulaRoth. and that inAcer platanoidesL. were most sensitive to environmental pollution. In the city parks, the amounts of shrunk and abnormally shaped pollen grains increases; giant forms with grain diameters exceeding standard, as well as dwarf forms are not rare in occurrence. The highest percentage of pollen grains of atypical shape and size was observed in the same parks where the pollen sterility index had its highest values.
