Objective: This study sought to identify the main aspects related to students' expectations regarding higher education.Method: The research was conducted in the Capes (Coordination for Improvement of Higher Education Personnel), in the last 10 years, through blind review system. The scientific methods used were SLR (Systematic Literature Review), meta-analysis (Cooper, 2016) and content analysis (Bardin, 2011).Originality / Relevance: Despite recent surveys on higher education, the originality of the study can be justified by the lack of studies addressing the expectation on higher education using meta-analysis.Results: The article identifies the gaps that exist between the offer made by the HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) and what is really expected by students towards higher education. Such comprehension can contribute to improve the marketing strategies, as well as the management of the HEI services, by understanding the factors that may affect the student behavior.Theoretical / Methodological Contributions: This research contributes to the understanding of the changes that have affected the education field, especially higher education, in which is noticed the increasing dropout and mismatch between the objectives of the subjects involved, as well as the profound ongoing changes in the social, economic and technological contexts. Therefore, it serves as a subsidy for marketing studies, especially on consumer behavior, as well as to surveys related to the higher education.

The period 1917-21 in Russia found the fledgling Bolshevik government engaged in desperate military struggles with imperial Germany, with several White Russian armies assisted in varying degrees by foreign troops and supplies, with national movements for independence, and with a newly restored Poland. Yet despite an ever-present military threat to the very existence of the new government, many Bolshevik leaders remained constantly aware that theirs was a revolutionary regime, with the goal of achieving a radical trans? formation of the social, economic, political, and cultural institutions they had inherited. Consequently this same period witnessed, in addition to the crucial military conflicts, several experimental efforts to achieve thoroughgoing institutional change.Higher education was one such target of reform, and this paper will describe succeeding attempts undertaken during 1917-21 to implement three radically different blueprints for reform of the higher educational system.

The contours of social exclusions are broad and varied. However, tackling exclusion is like policy creation. This study sought to bring out the progress on inclusive education by addressing policy elements in exclusions and inclusive as its main objective based on the scope in policy creationand implementation in higher education. The study used theories; Heutagogy of Stewart Hase (2000); or the self - determined learning as well as Herbert Simon’s social learning (1947) theory or the social discourse theory. The study design was explorative with case surveys from the global trends as a benchmark for its scope including Kenya using the content analysis of Salamanca conference on inclusive education and Education For All and expectations thereafter from the year 2015. The lessons have been derived from survey cases of countries benchmarked as a basis for policy analysis, planning, implementation and for adoption for other countries like Kenya.

The aims of this research is to describe the roles of woman in Nggorea village in order to increase the economic social of family by local weaving cloth heritage. This research is a descriptive qualitative. Data collected by direct observation, documentation, and interview. In this research shows that beside as the housewife, the woman at Nggorea village roles to increase the economic in their family by using the local weaving cloth, which is the culture heritage of the ancestor. Generally, the activity of weaving by woman in Nggorea village is just to spend their time after finishing the homework and to continue the culture heritage. The product of woven cloth can be used as the daily clothing and as used at the culture ceremony. Meanwhile, to fulfill their daily life needs are getting by gardening and fishing. However, the product of woven cloth is known by many people and the function of the woven cloth is varied such as to make a coat, bag, skirt, blanket, and so on. The quality of woven cloth give an effect to its price, so it can influenced the economic social of Nggorea society. There are some kinds of social economic increasing at Nggorea village, such as fulfill the life needs and to get the higher education so that it can influence to the better social life. Automatically it influenced to the social status of society.

Abstract The motivation behind this paper is to understand the status of water resources management education provided in higher education institutions (HEIs) in India and decipher gaps between what is taught and what is needed in the field. The assessment has been carried out based on the information available on the respective websites of the HEIs using keywords. The authors have also reached out to faculty members and final-year students in universities/HEIs in India. There are a good number of HEIs in India, which offer educational programmes in water-related subjects, though their distribution is skewed and there seems to be a clear bias in favour of the technological aspects of water. Relatively fewer HEIs engage themselves in social, economic and gender-related issues. It is imperative to popularise research in the social, economic and regulatory aspects of water management. Not all HEIs have provided information about the areas of research they engage in, on their websites. Further, a limited number of faculty members and students have responded to the questionnaires. The preparedness of any country in addressing its current challenges can be gauged from the incorporation and subsequent entrenchment of these roles into the fabric of HEIs. This article can be looked upon as reference documents which will go a long way to enabling the identification of synergies, interlinkages and collaboration opportunities to find solutions for a plethora of challenges.

This study applies social quality framework to analyze the current social development of Taiwan by utilizing governmental database as secondary dataset and using meta-analysis as further check in data collection. This study found that the social development of current Taiwan society basically keeps progressing along with requirements and indicators of social quality. Among them, Taiwan’s performance of social development in dimension of social economic security goes best. And in social inclusion and social empowerment dimensions, the indicators obviously show much progressive. However, the biggest room for further improvement and development is in social cohesion.

The study analyzes the scientific production that deals with the economic activity of the sport. This is a systematic review that evaluates scientific papers published in the last Olympic cycle (2012-2016) in national and international journals, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, indexed to the Portal of Journals of Capes (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel). From the content analysis, 355 studies were examined that, despite their diversity, were grouped into 16 categories. The considerations suggest an ample process of commercialization of the sport as a cultural commodity and, also, vehicle of sale and propagation of other products.

The aim of this study is to reveal how university students conceptualize their perceptions of social justice. 393 university students were included as the sample of the research. An interview form was sent to the students online. The content analysis technique was used in the analysis of the data. As results, it was stated that every student is equal, opportunities are provided equally, there is no discrimination, social activities are equally benefited, every student is given the same rights, interests and needs are cared for, and every student is treated fairly. They expressed as the most unjust incidents are "necessity of distance education due to the Covid-19 pandemic," "getting unworthy points," "discrimination," "lack of justice in scoring," "unfair scholarship distribution" and "no course exemption." In addition, since it is not in the literature, a scale can be developed regarding the social justice perception levels of students studying in higher education.

Despite the growing interest in social forestry (SF), how much do we understand the social, economic and environmental outcomes and the conditions that enable SF to perform? In this article, we use a content analysis of literature on existing traditional SF practiced throughout Indonesia. It examines the outcomes of these systems and the conditions that enabled or hindered these outcomes to understand possible causal relations and changing dynamics between these conditions and SF performance. We discuss the gaps in how SF is assessed and understood in the literature to understand the important aspects of traditional SF that are not captured or that are lost when the diverse traditional systems are converted into other land uses. It aims to understand the potential trade-offs in the State’s push for formalizing SF if these aspects continue to be ignored.

In virtually all institutions of higher learning, there is the development of online courses to meet local demands foremost but also to potentially glean from an international cadre of learners. Various universities may offer curricular topics relevant to a much larger context. This chapter makes the case that network science may be applied to marketing online courses in higher education to reach target learners. This focuses on some real-world instructional design cases and the marketing strategies used. These cases are then analyzed using a social network strategy approach, which is first described here. Finally, there are ideas on how to apply a social network strategy to various online learning “products.”

Abstract Introduction Effective August 2018, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) required that nicotine addiction warnings be placed on ads for nicotine containing e-liquids. As per FDA comments, this provision pertains to visual ads communicated via social media, raising questions about compliance within the large e-liquid promotion community on Instagram. Aims and Methods This study examines use of warnings on promotional Instagram posts before and after provisions took effect on August 10, 2018. Netlytic was used to gather a sample of 500 promotional #eliquid and #ejuice posts from: May 2017, October 2017, March 2018, August 2018, and September 2018. The 1500 prewarning and 1000 postwarning posts were coded using content analysis. Changes in products and marketing strategies were also considered. Post volume was tracked monthly between May 2017 and February 2020. Results In the prewarning period, nicotine warning statements were absent on all posts. Following August 10, 2018, FDA compliant warnings were present on 13.6% of posts. Among US-based posts, 36.4% used the warnings, with warnings more common on posts made by e-liquid brands (52.3%) and posts promoting e-liquids with nicotine (40.0%). Promotional strategies and products did not significantly change. The share of posts made by US Instagram users decreased by 11%, although total post volume continued to grow. Conclusions Many e-liquid promotion posts on Instagram remained noncompliant with nicotine warnings after FDA provisions took effect. The large volume of international users also limited the impact of FDA-mandated warnings on the social media environment. Implications Further guidance and enforcement are needed to ensure that US e-liquid marketers on visual social media platforms adhere to current provisions, particularly for individual social media users who are sponsored by industry. The inherently global span of social media also indicates the importance of a shared approach to marketing regulations. Further work is needed to assess enforcement strategies viable for the social media environment.
